Constantly freezes, vista, e-machine

Hello
I constantly get freeze ups. Download the page blue kernal, mini dump, crash dump, etc..
Especially when I try to run your antivirus software. I had AVG, it kept the fact that. Then I put Avast.

Computer won't let other antivirus, but windows to run. Windows always says very well running. Yet, he still goes to the page blue kernal, said windows were shut down comp. I think that maybe a worm and when the [avg] avast found, it would lock up the computor?

Several times when I freeze, I can not even the Manager of the tasks ahead.
Several times my comp. will start racing, and I end up manually stop, since it would have no other.

I did ALL the checklist of aid, for this.
I continue with the same problems.

PS
In the event log, I noticed, while the computor was out of the factory, he had yellow warnings and warnings red, bk in 05 or 06!, I just bought this comp. year it y a. Yes, guaranteed just lack July.
This is a brand new E-Machine, Vista 32-bit. [What I stopped running 'big trouble', for e-post, since I windows. scan and other logging.etc.

I also put in, which is more up I can go... 2 GB of memory. I thought that the memory could be bad. Had a diagnostic test ran on it. Said it was very good. House and same things, like when I took it had. Tried to take it back, but no guarantees, that it only cost me hundreds!

So I have a worm, or the () & the % $& ^?  which would bring the antivirus to lock and go to the blue page?

Thks a lot in advance! Greatly appreciated...
WannaBGeek

PS
I have led my temp files all the time. I scan whenever I'm done with comp. [now just using... "SUPERAntiSpyware"... because he used to let me run completely avast scans... [but I do get by small scans of runing, esp in my files itinerant.], where the anitspy pick up trackers, etc.

Thks again

Oops...
my computer crashes all the time what is play my games in yahoo... [intellectuals], or simply in a site, I try to keep the less number of tabs to the bottom, as I can, but in tournaments, I need the Messenger open to get our pages, rules, etc.
The blue page is in place, trying to find the virus...

Hello WannaBgeek,

Thanks for posting on the Microsoft answers Forum.

(1) you have the blue screen error codes? If so, please indicate the exact code number.
(2) did you run SFC/scannow? The auditor of file system (CFS) to see if you have corrupted system files.

  • Click Start
  • Click on all programs
  • Click Accessories, and then right-click on the command prompt.
  • Select the Security tab and choose "Run as Administrator"
  • Click on command prompt
  • Type SFC/scannow

It will scan and repair any damaged operating system files.

(2) I also run chkdsk /r and see if errors are repaired. You may need to run chkdsk/r several times to remove all the errors.
Click the Start button on the desktop
·         In the search field type cmd (do not hit enter)
·         Right click on cmd.exe and select run as administrator
·         In the cmd window type chkdsk /r and press enter
·         Press Y (for Yes) and press enter
On the next reboot, the computer should boot into the scan for us.

(3) to determine if there is a program because of a conflict, we recommend that you perform a "clean boot" of the computer. A clean boot is designed to disable programs and services in the background as much as possible. This helps determine which service or program can be the cause of the problem.
For more information about how to perform a clean boot for troubleshooting, click the number below to view the article in the Microsoft Knowledge Base.
KB 929135 - how to solve a problem of performaing a clean boot in Windows Vista.
 http://support.Microsoft.com/kb/929135
Once you have finished the clean boot, check again and see if your computer is always freezing up.

Since you have problems, this can take a while for these utilties to run. So don't be discouraged that the program has not done in ten minutes.

If please reply back and let us know the results of your tests.

Thank you

  • Can't click links, constantly freezes

I can usually click on text links, but the button links are unclickable since the last update. For example, buttons as one that says "Post Question" does not work on firefox. I had to switch to Opera just to be able to click the links. What has also been past more often since the update is firefox is constantly freezing, turning white and saying "not responding".

It turns out that firefox fixed the problem of reset. I think it was the add ons or plug-ins because even in safe mode, I had the problem. Also tried to uninstall and reinstall firefox, does not always work. I did it just before your answer Fred, so I don't know if it's a working solution. Guess if someone else has this problem they could try it too.

  • Windows is constantly freezing

Windows constantly lock up on me this week. Turn off the computer and then many attempts to reboot is the only solutions. Sometimes it will start in safe mode without problem, other times it takes several attempts. The same thing with the choice of the repair option.

When the system is in place, sometimes it runs for a few hours before freezing, othertimes minutes.

    I am running:

Vista Home Premium with Service Pack 2 on a 64 bit OS

The computer is a Dell Inspiron 1545 Lapttop

A bit of background that may or may not be related. I run McAfee provided by my ISP Security Suite. Attempts to complete sweep have locked for months once the typo scan a file in the Directory Windows/SXS. POS is a manifest file. I spent many hours on the phone with McAfee and it could not "solve this problem and Dell wants big $$ to take care of her." When the blow to scan this file, it also locks the PC with the hard reboot being the only option, but after the reboot, it still works normally. This week gets frozen constant don't have not occurred when an analysis is underway.

This who can I try to fix this? The PC is pretty useless at this point.

  • Why I have to restart my brand new monster Vista 64 machine whenever I want to play a game online?

I have a new brand, solid as a rock, high-end, cry of monster machine, fresh out of the box, fully updated with all updates from MS:
    Intel Core i7 920 @ 2.67GHz
    12 GB DDR3 RAM
2 TB of hard drive space
64-bit Edition of Windows Vista Home premium.
    2 x Nvidia 295 in SLI

I can do pretty much everything on this subject with the results you expect.  I can surf the web at lightning speed (assuming I'm not using IE8, who remember using NETSCAPE ago 15 years on a 14.4 modem), I can play any game I want with amazing performance.

So why can't play ANY game online without first restarting my PC?
I say play... City of Heroes for 12 hours or 12 minutes.  Disconnect me, go to sleep and the next day... No.  It does not connect to the DBserver.  I load the battle field (ANY of the battlefield series) and cannot update the list of servers.  I have a strong connection to rock, I can connect to ANY game online with all 4 of my installations of XP without problem (Yes, I mean when the Vista machine does not work on one game from all others work with this game without problem) The ONLY fix I have found is to restart the Vista Machine... single... time... I want to play an online game.

I found the article on article on the post on the blog that talks about Vista incompatible nature with online games, including of Microsofts OWN games online.  The only answer I found Microsoft has been, and I am paraphrasing here "is not as bad as everyone say it's.

    Hello Wachinagi,

Thank you for posting.  The first thing is to check the power save options of your NIC (Ethernet card) in the Device Manager and make sure that it is configured to not allow.  I think that your NIC could go into powere saving mode.  I suggest you check the settings of your router and firewall.  Make sure that the appropriate ports are opened for the games.   Could also include the anti-anti-virus/firewall software you are using.

  • Crash / blue screen / not freezing Vista - no disk error - no viruses?

Hey there - I have a dell with vista OS pc. For a week simply freezes small without apparent reason shortly after the start of vista. It seems not
Plan of exactly when it freezes. I tried not to use some programs, nothing helps - the motive seems to be that if I use a microsoft program - crash of things - I can use firefox etc. without problem. Running in safe mode is very good, and I have access to all my files this way. So far, I have:

1 received all the important data from the system to a PC on a network in windows 7
    2. tried several restore points - did not help
3 run several virus - including ms security essentials scans and FSecure online scanner. both have not reported any problem
    4. in the start menu I have run diagnostics from the dell system - which don't report no disk error
    5. starting at cmmd line run chkdsk and chkdsk /f - no effect
6a ran the event viewer to check what was going on - who himself, then crashed.
    7. waived after 6 and thought, I'd ask the experts instead! :)
