Construction of a new graphics/Premiere Pro system COMENTS please

I'm building a new system Pro first and I didn't keep
material & plug, I'm looking for educated entry regarding
the pros and cons of the following list.

I am a profesional designer using CS5.5, CorelDraw and a small mixer
and the shooting of clips a day per week training/industral and videotape each
a few months so I'm trying to build a machine capable without breaking the Bank.

I'm really looking for comments on the game/software incompatibilities and
incompatibilities, thank you inadvance ~ pete

    Hello

Required for Adobe Premiere Pro configuration line:

Windows ' Adobe Premiere Pro CC (2014) requirements "are listed as"Microsoft Windows 7 with Service Pack 1 (64-bit)"or Windows 8 (64-bit) and windows"Adobe Premiere Pro CC requirements"are listed as"Windows 7 with Service Pack 1, Windows 8, or Windows 8.1. (In bold italics added.) (Reviewed system requirements to |) Adobe Premiere Pro on 28/12/2014.)

Assuming that all of the requirements of Windows must be "(64 bits)" for the two Adobe Premiere Pro CC and CC (2014), so why is "Windows 8.1", which is a requirement for Adobe Premiere Pro CC, excluded from the requirements for Adobe Premiere Pro CC (2014), which is the latest version of Premiere Pro? "

My point is: in a structure of Solid State disk (SSD) of RAID'ed, part of the workflow for the maintenance of a workstation is different between Windows 7 and Windows 8.1. Unless this omission is an editorial inconsistency, which is not Windows 8.1 as a system requirements for Adobe Premiere Pro CC (2014) implies that Windows 7 is the best option to support Adobe Premiere Pro and to help maintain the equipment to implement.

To support the workflow best SSD RAID for Adobe Premiere Pro, please let me know if, indeed, not including the Windows 8.1 in the system requirements for Adobe Premiere Pro CC (2014) that is an oversight.

    Thank you.

  • New on Premiere Pro CS4, seeking help

    Hi people,

I'm working on a small project using images, just still no video in Premiere Pro CS4 on a windows machine. The final product will have to play on a TV 46 '' smart (basically, it's the digital display for a trade show booth). I hope there, can someone give me the best settings to use to set up my file and export. As I said, I am completely new to the first, so any help at all will be greatly appreciated.

    Thank you!

Export as mp4. There are many presets and you can find them under H.264.

720 p will be the case most of the time. You can also try 1080 p.

If you want to .wmv try the HDwmv.

  • Premiere Pro system Resouces not beign used when exporting

    Hi all

I've been editing this video and last night I started to make. However, it is far from quick reading. Estimated time remaining SOUL shows, it's 65 h!

However, this is not the worst. My CPU, RAM, disk and even GPU are not beign used. The use of the system measured during the export of this same clip is:

    • 15% OF THE CPU
    • -2 GB OF RAM
    • Images of 1 MB/S Hard Drive (out of maximum 50 MB/s)
    • GPU consult the tips @90 %, 40% on average.

    Features of the project:

    • Complete sequences almost 2 hours long.
    • Maximum of 2 layers.
    • RAW clip images: H264 1080 p DSLR Footage.
    • Red Giant Denoiser II (accelerated GPU) on 50% of the clips.
    • The included body curves RGB and STL on 50% of the clips.
    • Export to H264, 1080 p 30 fps, VBR 1 package, 15Mbps (18Mbps max) using Adobe Media Encoder (body 'Export' option isn't even run).

    System Specs:

    • AMD FX-8350 (x 8) 4.5 GHz
    • 16 GB of Ram DDR3 1866 MHz
    • NVIDIA Geforce GTX650 (2 GB of GDDR5 memory)
    • Windows 8 x 64 OS.
    • Cache, OS and Suite CS6 Adobe drive: Samsung 840 PRO 128 GB (500 MB/S R, W 480 MB/S)
    • Images & export Drive: Seagate 1 TB (don't know the exact model)

I know that my graphics card is not the best for this task, but this isn't even beign used... My first thought is that there is a bottleneck HHD, because he is not fast at all, but my use of measurement system I found is not the sweet string this time. What I am doing wrong?

    BTW, I use CS6.

    Thanks in advance,

    Gonzalo Ruiz.

MAC Adobe (digital video applications) are heavy throughout the chain of material resources, and bottleneck stifles all this at the speed of the slowest part.

People usually gauge how they think that their system should respond based on the processor, RAM and GPU. Those who have all their place... but they only works on things that can get through the process in/out of the storage media, that means your discs.

What we want to see is that you have only two disks, one for OS/programs/cache and another for both circles AND exports... which is 95% full. At this time, the RAM/CPU/GPU are almost irrelevant.

The program uses several types of main file. This first group is heavy with simultaneous reading AND writing files, and the best recommendation is to put each on separate if possible disks, using two internal connections or with eSATA or Thunderbolt connections for external drives. USB3.0 is NOT enough speed for reading/writing to these files. The other recommendation is to put the points 2-4 on 4 or 5 disc based on hardware RAID 0 or 5 table.

    (1) program file & library program (normally on the C drive or the system tools;

    (2) current work cache; database;

    (3) project files for each project;

    (4) samples;

    Now one-way operations...

    (5) media;

    (6) exports.

The last two can be connected via USB3.0 necessary, especially when the other options aren't there. Note, however... to avoid the bottlenecks at export, have them on SEPARATE drives/devices gives a huge advantage. There is even a high-speed flashdrives USB3... as the unit of PNY 128 Gb I've got, that can work for both media or export, for about $40.

If everything you changed was to load your media on a flash drive that I had used a second for exports, and got this second hard disk up to 50% of free drive, this project will literally several times faster.

  • What's new in Premiere Pro CS5. Questions: markers, shortcuts, key frames and more!

Hi everyone, this is my first post. I'm an editor of Argentina, with background in Avid media Composer, but I go for first pro cs5 for a new job. I was very surprised and happy with it. But there are still one or two things that I have quite right yet.

So, a few questions from newbie... you'll save me a lot of time if you can answer some of them.

    Markers
    1. can I use markers of different colors?
    1. is there a way to select more than one marker and remove them at the same time? Of course, with all of them, delete only links I need.
1 c. How can I configure a shortcut for go to next\previous brand of element in the timeline? In shortcuts, I go to the marker > Go go Clip marker > and select a shortcut, but in the timeline, it's going anywhere I've done this work for brands of sequence in the timeline panel and this shortcut also knit to marker on an element next\previous in the source monitor.
1 d. How to extend a marker in the timeline? I know I can set the duration of the marker in the pop up menu... but if there is a way to do it directly in the timeline?

    Razor tool
    2. a simple. After that I used the razor on a clip tool... How can I join the clip again?

    Track selection tool
    3. how the Selection tool track, select all the items to the LEFT, instead of all the clips right? In avid, there is a Select right command, which works like the track picker, but there is also a command select left, which does the same, but left.

    Master Audio meters
    4. another single. Can I put it horizontally? It fits perfectly in the toolbar then.

    Tab sizes
    5. the size of the tabs can be changed? I have 'Media browser', 'Info', 'History', 'Effects' all platform... but the size of the Panel is such that I never see the four legs at the same time, I have to drag the small bar at the top. Can I have the tabs be smaller so that I could see the four of them... as if they said «Media...» 'inf..' 'hist'... "' eff '... instead of wasting space with names long tab?

    Keyframes
    6. is there a shortcut to add - we? Where is it in the shortcut configuration? I know that I can put them with the pen tool, I need a shortcut to replace the "Add/Remove keyframe" button on the tracks in the timeline.
6B. How can I align the time indicator to a shortcut in the timeline?
    6 c. can I lazo several keyframes?

    Any audio by rubbing
    7. in preferences > Audio > Play Audio while scrubbing I choose walking and stop. How can I define a shortcut for this?

Well... that was a LOT! Sorry for so many questions. If all goes well they can help new users.

    From the top:

    1. No; but you can set markers numbered for the clips and the sequence.

    1. No; You can delete one or all.

1 you must select the clip in order to activate the command.

1 d. you can do this in the marker dialog box.

    2. no direct way to do it. Remove either the front or after editing and then extend the clip to fill this gap. Awkward, Yes.

    3. No, the track Selection tool doesn't work right.

    4 audiometers are vertical.

    5. the tab size matches the title of the tab; no way to change this.

    6. no keyframe shortcut.

6B. This does not work in the timeline panel, but in the effect controls panel, you can hold the SHIFT key to snap the CTI by dragging.

    c. 6, you can catch several keyframes in the effects with the standard selection tool Panel, or you can use the pen in the timeline panel. Just be sure to start within the graphic representation of the clip.

    7. No, this is only a preference program.

I'm sorry that many of them are negative! Don't forget to apply for feature for what you would like to see: Adobe feature request/Bug Report Form

  • BUG: Entry of decimals in time new preferences (Premiere Pro 2014.2)

So, I checked the release notes for the new version of first Pro CC (2014.2). I was happy to see the ability to switch between the images and the seconds in the choice of the default duration of still images and transitions.

Immediately found a bug. Decimal do not work correctly after the passage of the units.

    Open preferences.

    • Change the video Transition default duration unit default images for seconds. Try to insert a decimal point by using the keyboard. It does not work.
    • Click OK to close the preferences, with video duration default Transition now seconds value
    • Re-open preferences and change units to frames. Now, try to enter decimals. No matter where the text cursor, get the decimals just added at the end of the field in the form.

This seems to affect all the three form fields (not just video, but Audio Transition and image as well).

Really weird bug and I don't know how you guys at Adobe missed this one...

Anyone else having this bug? I am running Windows 7.

If so, can someone please file a formal bug report? I'm at work and low on time, but I felt I had to bring this up to make sure that I'm not the only one in this boat.

I have reproed this problem and connected to a bug report.

A solution is to select the unit of the configuration, click OK to close the preferences, then reopen the preferences and adjust the value. Sorry for the inconvenience.

I invite you to submit your bug report (Adobe - feature request/Bug Report Form). The more customers who report a problem, the better the chances that a fix will make it in the next version...

I just started to use the first and spent the day watching a series of tutorials. but I can't seem to find something that may explain why I have not Lumetri pre series or all parameters of lumetri in my list of effects.

    Ewan,

After you have installed the latest version of Apple's QT player, did reboot the system?

QT Player should install more common MOV CODEC, but for them to show in the system (where they are installed), usually, we need to restart.

  • New on Premiere Pro CS5.5

    Hi all

Recently moved upward to CS5.5 of PE8 and hoping for some advice before starting my main project.

Project will be approximately 1 HR long, want to be able to burn any DVD Blu Ray as well as the finished product. Most of the footage was shot so far with / Handycam Sony HDR - CX, AVCHD located on FH, (should I use FX?). Some also have film shot with a standard DV camera and I would use both in project?

I am able to create the project with 5.1 SS and always use footage with 2 stereo channels also?

Played around looked suspicious, I have an incorrect setting, from the tutorials a bit edition with some success, until he comes to burn on DVD, seem to say don't bother the settings of the project at the beginning?

My main issues so far are - should I set the necessary parameters at the beginning of my project? and if so what settings should I choose for desired finished products?  Also should what settings I choose when recording on HDD to burn it to DVD and then BR discs?

Thanks in advance for any help.

You can do a test of Red Giant Magic Bullet instant HD up-rezzing the SD material to HD. Some users really like it for their story, but others are the result not in their standards. Only a trial will tell you if it helps with your images.

With a master 5.1 and the Minnetonka Audio over-codes DD 5.1 SS plugin, you can work with stereo equipment. There are many ways to use it, just leave the "Audio" Stadium collapse of 5.1 to stereo or using the Panel mixer Audio to place the apparent around the Audio scene source, or still to duplicate this stereo stream and may add Reverb and perhaps delay the dupe, then adjust the locations on the stage of (fake 5.1 Audio).

Now, you do not have a 5.1 Master and also the SurCode plugin or program/CPU very similar to the output of DD 5.1 SS, as an AC3 track.

Good luck and being new to PrPro, don't forget to spend some time with the First FAQ section. There are a ton of good advice, with links to the full articles, the file of help and tutorials. Great and useful to read here.

  • New in Premiere Pro CS4, need help BAD!

OK, so I have CS4 pro Permira, I tried to make videos but I always encountered the same problem.  Whenever I have upload the video in the sequence, it plays only the audio.  The preview of the image is here and it looks like his tent to play but his very agitated.  Now this problem doesn't happen that AVI files (almost all my video files are AVI), whenever I play WMV is a bit slow but it plays the video and audio in sync, most of the time.  No one knows what is wrong or have any ideas on how to solve this problem?  I'm about to throw my computer out the window!

You must install a mjpeg codec to get your files to read.

  • New MacBook Pro GPU compatible for playback in Premiere Pro CS6 Mercury engine?

I am considering buying a new MacBook Pro (15 in., processor 2.8 GHz quad-core Intel Core i7, 16 MB of RAM) to mainly video edditing with Premiere Pro, I have the CS6 vertion. I wonder if its Mercury playback engine support GPU?

The laptop I think uses this two graphics cards:

    • Intel Pro Iris graphics card
    • AMD Radeon R9 M370X with 2 GB of GDDR5 memory

In the list of system requirements for first Pro CS 6; Premiere Pro system requirements for Mac OS and Windows is said "AMD over-pants" recommended for Mac and AMD Radeon GPU Acceleration (as the Mac comes with) is listed under Windows. This makes me wonder if the new Mac support the maximum speed for the Mercury playback engine?

In any case, I would appreciate your views as oppon whitch GPU card you guys recommend for a MacBook Pro work best with Adobe Premiere Pro CS6?

    Hello

Only these cards are supported for CS6

    • AMD Radeon HD 6750 M (only on some MacBook Pro computers running Mac OS X Lion (10.7.x) with a minimum of 1 GB of VRAM)
    • AMD Radeon HD 6770 M (only on some MacBook Pro computers running Mac OS X Lion (10.7.x) with a minimum of 1 GB of VRAM)

  • Premiere Pro creates new after effects project sending clips to AE?

When you create a new composition in After Effects to clips on the timeline, Premiere Pro works perfectly well. Send clips to a new composition, the same project After Effects. All is well and good. Until I got close After Effects or Premiere. Then, when that I raise, clips in After Effects in a new composition, Premiere Pro sent something strange. Even if I reopen the project I was working on, no matter what, Premiere Pro sent clips to a new project and not send them to the one currently open. Does anyone have any kind of reasons as to why?

    Hi Instrud:

Just to clarify: when you continue to work, After Effects is open with the file to current project open AE and Premiere Pro is open with the file to current project plans open as well.  Then, when you choose "Replace with After Effects Composition" your Pro first sequence, the current project of AE closes and starts a new AE project.

All of which is managed by dynamic link and clearly something is off.

I got to one of two things:

    • Begin a conversation with Adobe support to check that everything is installed and configured correctly on your system.
    • Uninstall the two Premiere Pro and Adobe After Effects and then reinstall them (something Adobe support would you anyway).

  • Any ideas? Premiere Pro CS6 crashing whenever I try to import clips!

    Hey everybody,

I'm relatively new to Premiere Pro CS6 (gradually switching to Final Cut), so forgive me if there's any details miss me. I have real problems with getting the app to work, unfortunately.

    Here's the problem:

I can create and save projects very well. Nothing is slow or appears bad. However, every time I want to import clips (in any parameter of project/sequence, or codec, as well as different types of clips from the camera), Premiere Pro instanty throws a message - immediately - to say:

«I'm sorry, that a serious error has occurred which requires Adobe Premiere Pro stop.» We will try to save your current project".

It is literally impossible around that, that I can tell. I tried all different types of clips, all the different import methods (for example drag / move, media browser, file > import), but nothing. It isn't even a matter of film - the same applies even if I just try to import images. Oddly, with grag and drop - method if it is a video clip, PP registers even how long the clip is, highlighting where the clip will insert - she normally would be - but then instantly crashes after abandonment and/or trying to read. This led to believe me (because I never saw a single visual image in Premiere Pro) there could be a graphic bug - potentially something wrong with my system.

For any help or suggestion would be received with gratitude. I have attached to the report of crash below and some features of my system.

    See you soon,.

PS just Gunna do a full update of my Mac OS X to bring it up to 10.8.3. I doubt that this will fix the problem, but it's worth a shot, and if no bed I'll let you all know.

    Hey everyone just updated:

I think I've solved the problem!

No idea what it was, but it would either have been:

    (a) restart my MacBook (unlikely!)

    (b) update the firmware from Apple

    (c) update the Apple Retina Display update

(d).. .the above all of that!

He actually started to work before you go on 10.8.3, so not associated with OS X.

In this case, my apologies for the long post - hope it helps everyone in the same situation in the future. Moral of the story: the Apple software update!
