• Block a Messenger contact, but * allow * calls

  Is it possible to block a contact so that I don't get their text (SMS/MMS) messages, but still allow to their phone calls to receive?

  1. I am aware that I have the option to turn on the "do not disturb" under the screen of details in the message itself. I don't even want to see messages from this person when I'm scrolling other messages.

  2. I am also aware that you can go to: settings > Messages > blocked. But here, it says that "you will not receive calls, messages, or people on the blocked list FaceTime."

  Any help would be appreciated.

  Is not possible if they are using their phone number as an identifier for both messages and voice calls.  With imessages, if you had someone with an iPad only and therefore not associated with their account of imessage, telephone number you could do a contact phone number for calls and a different address contact only for e-mail messages and block this contact.

  But when a phone number as means of identification for voice calls and messages (SMS and iMessage) then the only option is to block all traffic of this contact.

• How to identify which switch in the Panel called the function?

  Here I have some 192 switches and 192 leds corresponding to each switch,

  If a switch is on(say 10th) consequence (10th) led should light up.

  I want to use the same function for all pairs of led switch.

  all I could do was to check the switch in a loop and then set the individual leads, but I find it very little effective way to do it.

  I'm having a problem call a Subvi main façade, where the Subvi is called other two Subvi. My two last Subvi the hierarchy have references in order to see the results on the front panel of the Subvi. While that of the Subvi References work and I see the exit, when I try to reference the Subvi references I can't see the output on the main façade.

• Options of Z10 No blackBerry for contacts in the call log

  Dear all,

  It seems to be a feature missing from the call log.

  You can send SMS, Email, MMS to people registered in the call log.

  in earlier systems of BB, when you open your call log by pressing the green call button, you get a list of all the people who called you, missed calls, dialed calls. Whenever you move the bar on one of these numbers and then click on the Logo of BB button (menu access), you get a lot of different options, including sending SMS or MMS.

  With the new OS 10, this feature is not there. I confronted HELL trying SMS from someone who had just called me.

  I received a phone call from a unknown mobile one of the sellers phone number and he asked me to send him a number by SMS. After getting the number for him, I went in the call log (since it is not stored in my contacts) and tried to view the search options for SMS options. He wasn't there! I had to add the provider contacts and from there, I could see all the options.

  Is it possible to do it from the call log?

  Never tried it before, but he managed to escape earlier. This isn't a fault with Blackberry, here's how:

  1. on the call log, touch the number and hold the key until the menu appears on the right side

  2. click the icon "View details call" high

  3. on the bottom, you can type 'Text' to send an SMS to this number

  I have to configure multi-site/multiway,

  We have VCSC and MCU.

  and endpoints such as C40, ex90 and MXP1700.

  Ex90 has licence Multisite for C40, but it's not. Able to make P2P calls and then add other EX90 IAM conversation endpoints.

  We have a VCSC and MCU.

  How can I configure multiway help MCU?  I tried to set up an alias in VCS, Conference factory-22228

  and the model [email protected] / * /

  Conference factory State is active. 22228 added as base10 multiway on the c40. My prefix for MCU Conference Service is 8.

  I need to set up a permanent conference in MCU?

  I have to configure Permanent Conference as 22228?

  on the check of EX90 you added the multisite key. TC5 version wouldn't hurt.

  Do not use a version

  Some generic endpoint support information:

  You can have multiway or multisite, so if you have already configured the EX90 for multiway

  This will be the reason why you can't add another local call, these features are mutually exclusive.

  If you delete the multiway address it should work again with multisite.

  In short you must enable autocreateing of conferences with no PIN number prompt and have a prefix MCU

  Yes, you can do exactly that.  You have the choice of adding a new contact or by adding the number to an existing contact.  The use case you provided is exactly supported.  Someone is already in your list of calls to inform you of a new number. You follow the process I described, select this person in your contacts, and then add the number in the right field (or another)... say they have a second job?

  Ahhh Yes the ever helpful Verizon rep.   I don't know what they were doing.   Basically some how you or he put in double entries.   I prefer to use the web application to Gmail on my regular computer to resolve this kind of things.   Look them over and if they are perfect duplicates, just delete a.    If they are different for a reason, you will notice checkboxes in the left column.  If you select two, you have the choice to merge.

  I suggest you also use the 'export' function and save what you have in a file on your computer.  So, if you make a mistake in this setting, you have a 'Square one' to return.  Also, Outlook can export in 'CSV', the same format.   http://CompanionLink.com/Android has a tool. Free for ten days which synchronizes with other popular things.  You can try that if you have a good database in Outlook or something like that.

  Whatever you do in Gmail will also be on your droid in a few minutes. .. .often 'instantly' but you can also go to "Account" in the menu contacts, and then select the green "Refresh" to update the contacts then.   Another thing... you can have Gmail more account, for work or at home, for example.

• BlackBerry smartphones HELP! trying to transfer contacts, sms texts, call logs, etc.

  I recently got a new 8120 pearl from T-Mobile to replace my 8100 Pearl of AT & T.

  I was running desktop manager 4.6 but upgraded to 5.0 for the switch.

  My old Pearl (8100) ran v4.5.0.110 and the new Pearl (8120) was running v.4.3.0.115

  I thought (oh how naïve) that I could just switch devices easily and elegantly with Desktop Manager, but my new camera has yet to be recognized by my computer.

  I went to swap devices in DM 5.0 and it all downloaded and stored on my drive.

  .. .but then he couldn't find my new Pearl.

  I went back in time (!) and DM 5.0 removed from my system and installed the DM that came with my new Pearl (4.3), hoping that it needed just an earlier version of the software to make it happen.

  No luck.

  Then I came across a thread that said I had to install new drivers USB (version 4.6) to make my PC will not recognize my phone.  I installed the drivers and they uninstalled my DM 5.0

  So I re-installed the DM (5.0) and tried again.  No luck.

  Now, my girlfriend is shouting at me saying: I was on the computer all day (on our day off) messing around with this stupid phone.

  Please, for the love of God, help me.

  Just to put the closure of this thread... I finally solved the problem, but in reality a harder time of it because of the thread you told me to follow.  The issue ended up being my usb drivers are not correct for the new device.  I did what the thread asked me to do this, install the drivers that came with the RIM software and these drivers my system crashed and I ended up having to do a full system restore.  I went to the Microsoft Windows Update Catalog and found the right drivers, installed, and then installed the Desktop Manager and everything is hunky-dory.

• Can we get a feature "whitelist only" to only allow calls from contacts block all spammers?

  'Do not call' registry FTC does not work. With robo-callers and IP phones, basically any phone number that is not already on my list of contacts is a spammer.

  Looking at my settings for do not disturb in iOS 93.3, I see the option to select all Contacts in groups, so it is a change.

  When you send a picture of my images from Windows Explorer, email is generated in Outlook Express, but doesn't have any shown in the Contacts To: Panel.

  If I manually insert an email address, the email is sent but can't and does not appear in the sent items folder.

  Check in files | Identities | Manage identities. Is an old ID in the list that you do not use? Make sure that the ID that you are using is set as default and that OE is defined as your e-mail client by default as well.

  Control Panel | Add/Remove programs. Set Program Access and Defaults. Custom + down arrow | Select the option for Outlook Express.

  If still no joy, see if the problem persists in a new identity.

  You may have a damaged identity especially if it's the default main identity. File | Identity | Add the new identity. Create a new one and try it. If all goes well, you can import your messages and address book from the old identity and delete it.

• Searching for contacts during calls?

  I am new to the forum and I just bought my droid a week ago. On most of the time all the phones that I have owned have had the opportunity to go through my list of contacts during a call. I did not realize that the droid do not have this option until I was on a call and needed a fine of a phone number but I have not found this option, so I had to cut the call short to find the number then returns the call. Don't try not not to be lazy, but it's much easier put the call in place and go through the list of contacts. I missed something on the droid or is at - there an app for that? Any help will be much appreciated. Thank you, Ariel

  Also, if you are in a call and an important call arrives during this call, you can temporarily ignore an incoming call with a right to left swipe. This will give you about 12-14 rings to end your current call. Once you end your current call, your Droid will ring with the important incoming call. You can just answer.

  If you don't want to ignore the incoming call with a right to left swipe, incoming call goes to voicemail after 5 rings.
