Hello and welcome to the community!

Of what you say, I read that you had BES enabled on your BB, you have separated from the company/what BES now, but your BB was not properly cleaned of it's political, that continues to limit the things. To remedy this, you perform a specific wiping of your BB as follows:

    1. First of all, review the link of my auto-sig about backups... this process will completely clean your BB and you have to start over.
    2. Once ready, follow this KB to clean your BB of the it policy:
      • KB31291 How to reset a BlackBerry smartphone to factory using BlackBerry Desktop Software Settings
    3. When / if you restore, DO NOT do a full restore, restore only those databases that are essential, especially to avoid those who have something to do with the company, BES, political, etc.. If you fail at this stage and all restore, you simply put it on your BB policy and be right where you started.

    Good luck!

  • End of picture for the Contact to blackBerry Smartphones

I will have no problem bringing more of my details, but the photos associated with contacts in Outlook will be transferred to the Blackberry.  Is this possible?

I have no problem with that. Contact transfer pictures very well, both Outlook in storm and vice versa.

You can check your synchronization settings... Here are a few instructions (I use Outlook 2007 btw)

    1. connect the storm to your pc

    2. open the Desktop Manager

    3. click on icon "synchronize".

    4. in the left menu, under "Configuration", click "sync".

    5. on the new right screen, click the 'sync '.

    6. once the software Intellisync window opens (it takes a few moments)...

    7. turn highlighted "Address book Microsoft Outlook <->" by clicking once on it, then click on the button "Advanced...". "below

    8. click on the "Field mapping" button at the bottom of the new window that opens

    9. scroll down until you find something like 'Photo <->Photo of Contact' and make sure that they are linked with the double arrow and they are mapped correctly, which means that 'Picture' on the side of the camera has 'Photo contact' on the side of Outlook.

You can run also through the installation wizard again, ensure that you have set to "Two-way synchronization", and the other settings are correct. You can reach the Setup program in the same window in step 7 above.

    Hope that helps

  • Contacts transfer to Smartphones blackBerry "BOLD" for hands-free kit does not work

    Hello

I use almost all types of BlackBerry for recent years. So far I never had no problem with bluetooth, so I'm surprised that I have a problem of bluetooth with my "BOLD". In my car, I use a JVC NX 5000 audio/navigation/ipod/bluetooth while something. All the audio features work very well. The problem is transfer my addresses for the hands-free kit. This function works very well with all the previous BlackBerry pocket but not with the "BOLD". The error message on the "BOLD" refers to JVC, strange enough documentation that all previous handheld computers has functioned.

    Anyone any ideas?

    Thanks in advance,

    Thierry

I guess I solved the problem. I remembered that some carkits have a limit of 500 numbers (BMW?). It turns out that the JVC (with hard drive) has the same question. So after removing some contacts outdated everything worked fine.

  • Transfer contacts from blackBerry Smartphones to a Curve 8330 on a BES.

    Hi all

I am a newbie to BB but recently received for the work.  My problem is trying to transfer the contacts from my old cell phone (Sanyo SCP-7050) on my new Curve 8330.  I took it to my local Sprint store, and they said that contacts can be transferred because the BB was registered on a BES.  The Bluetooth connection no longer works, I guess for the same reason.

I don't have a chance, or there at - it another way, I can enter my BB contacts?  I have contacts stored as individual card (.vcf) and was hoping there is a way to use the micro SD card to load them on somehow.

Any ideas or help would be greatly appreciated.

Hi and welcome to the Forums!

Since you're on BES, why don't you just DL your vcf to your PC and import them into Outlook? Then BES will be responsible to your BB.

    Hello gillesg

Transferring content to your new Z10 BlackBerry is easy

Bring your contacts, video, photos, apps and more from your old phone to your new BlackBerry 10 device can be fast and hassle-free, especially if you already have a BlackBerry ID.

But before you start, download BlackBerry link of http://blackberry.com/software/desktop/blackberry-link.html. Click on a link below to navigate to the desired section.

    • BlackBerry link to download on your computer.
    • Connect your old device to your computer via a USB cable.
    • Follow the steps on the BlackBerry link screen.

    What will be transferred?

With link to BlackBerry, you can transfer data that has been saved in the memory on your old device, including:

    • Contacts
    • Files (documents, photos, music)
    • Calendar items
    • Tasks and memos
    • BBM contacts
    • Folders and bookmarks in the browser
    • Alarm clock/settings
    • Text, SMS, MMS, PIN messages
    • Phone call logs
    • WLAN profiles (for networks of SMEs)
    • Entries in password Keeper

If you have anything that is saved on your SIM card, such as address book contacts, be sure to first save these things to your device memory or media card. Who will follow they are transferred over the switch of the device

Switching using a media card devices

For users of smartphones BlackBerry with BlackBerry OS 7 and later versions, you can switch devices using your card.

    • On your old device, tap search and type switch of the device in the field.
    • If you are running BlackBerry 7.0 or later, the installer appears in outcomes research.
    • Click Setup > Switch Device > using a multimedia card > Save data and select continue.
    • When all of your content is saved in a backup file, remove the media card and insert it into your new BlackBerry 10 device.
    • When the screen appears on your BlackBerry device 10, type your password for the backup file and elements will begin to transfer to your new device.
  • BBM transfer blackBerry Smartphones, from one device to another

Hi, I recently bought a Blackberry curve 9360 and have now sold my old Blackberry Curve 8520, I spent 40 minutes trying to transfer my old bbm to my new blackberry, I know that this is possible, as I've done it before, but the last time, when I walked into my blackberry ID into the phone, a box pops up saying that my email has been registered to another blackberry device and I would like to transfer my world blackberry app and phone list of contacts for the new bbm. I wonder why this hasn't appeared this time and how can I transfer my list of bbm contacts from my old phone, I have now, to my new BlackBerry? Thank you

I do not know.  I did your switch of the device.  There are two methods:

1 switch device Wizard in Office Manager.

    2. backup old device; Restore the backup file to the new device.

New with BBM7 OS6 and higher devices:

BBM contacts are registered through your BBID and backups are no longer needed.

  • Notes field Contacts BB blackBerry Smartphones - limitations of size when syncing with MS Outlook?

I'm considering buying a BB Tour 9630.  I use MS Outlook contacts Notes field.  Some of my notes by contact are more than 10,000 characters long.  My Palm Treo 700 p allows me to view/edit these long notes.  Can the field notes Manager contact BB manage this number of characters, or it is truncated to a shorter length?  I am a small operation, only use is not an Exchange Server.  Also, does have another software of device than what comes with the BB to sync with my PC local Outlook PST?

Hi and welcome to the Forums!

Here's a knockout who deals with this scope:

    • KB13255 Notes field for the smartphone BlackBerry address book is truncated

I hope that it contains something useful!

As for your second question, see this KB:

    • KB12268 Applications supported by BlackBerry Desktop Manager to synchronize

You must use a version of the RIM DTM software that is compatible with your chosen PIM version.

Good luck and let us know!

  • Contacts of blackBerry Smartphones will not fully Synch

Just replace my steam-Office Outlook 2007 to Outlook Express 2000 w that I would send contacts compatible with my new Smartphone 9700 Bold (my 1st blackberry, replacing a really ancient mobile). The names and in some cases e-mail addresses of my Outlook contacts migrate to the handset very well - but nothing else: no phone numbers, nothing. And when I try to do the reverse - manually enter the address/phone no., etc., in the handset, the new information does NOT migrate in Outlook Contacts my laptop - even if it shows there during the synchronization process.  I use the Desktop Manager 4.3.0.17, as the other posts on this forum suggest that supports Outlook 2007.

No other problems with this - emails making the handset very well.

The only other variable I can think of, is that when I installed the new Outlook I imported my old contacts in a pst file - but most of these contacts were really rudimentary, mostly only have addresses e-mail. I've been updated manual my files from my old filofax, scraps of paper stuffed in shoe boxes - you get the idea...

I am a UK user, btw.

Hi and welcome to the Forums!

DTM 4.3.0.17 while reports compatible with Outlook 2007, you would be wise to update DTM to the latest version (5.0.1.28), especially if you have a BB much newer than your version of DTM. Indeed, given what you have described, I would advise a clean boot above. Here is a procedure:

I suggest the following steps (reboot insert a lot of restarting your PC... not only restarts, but at full power down). In addition, it is recommended that you are connected to the PC on an account with full administrator rights. In addition, under Vista/Win7, use the option "Run As Administrator" for everything.

    (1) remove the package to update your device OS of your PC (Add/Remove Programs)

    (2) properly uninstall the RIM DTM software:

    • KB02206 How to perform a clean uninstall of BlackBerry Desktop Software

    (3) get a new RIM DTM software download:

    • Choose the version which is more recent and (if any) compatible with your PIM (if you are synchornizing via USB):
    • KB12268 Applications supported by BlackBerry Desktop Manager to synchronize

    (4) to download a new copy of your package to your carrier OS device (on your PC):

    (5) install DTM on your PC

Installation of 6) (also on your PC), device OS package

    (7) start the configuration Organizer:

If all goes well, who's going to make things again.
