  Sounds like remnants of malware. Go to start/run type msconfig. Look under the Startup tab to find this entry uncheck the box

  I had a search but I couldn't find all the topics that have the same problem as mine, I maybe could have missed one:------.

  My laptop froze this morning so I had to reset by holding the power button down, then when I went to turn it back on, it goes to the screen of the safe option mode where it gives me the following options:

  safe mode
  safe mode with networking
  safe mode with command prompt

  last known good configuration

  Start windows normally

  I tried all of the above options and whenever one of them is selected, it starts to load Windows with blue small bar that hangs, restarts and repeated everywhere: S

  I hope that someone can help me, my life is on this laptop and I would be devastated if I lost it all lol

  If you have important data, you can extract it using Windows live cd. Get it and boot from it and move important data on USB.

  I've used Safe Mode and then when I rebooted normally connect to my account fine, then once on my account that the windows vista doesn't seem to work properly, the taskbar was different from a taskbar in vista and I can not connect to the internet. Also my system reboot is a problem too. Any ideas how to have things back to normal?

  I found a software bug last night. When I set the alarm and turn on night mode and put the BB in the case, once it starts ringing and I remove it from the Holster, the BB crashes. The screen is all white and does not on any input. After a few seconds the BB reboots automatically.

• XP SP3 update causes computer to only start in safe mode

  My daughter had XP IE8 running on his computer, site update Windows XP SP3 download.  I downloaded and installed, however it won't start in safe mode. When I remove SP3, the computer loads normally.  I then uninstalled IE8 (went back to IE6), made sure I had the pre-requistes, followed the steps as outline on the microsoft site, downloaded SP3 again and installed.  It will only re-start in safe mode.  I tried everything, no matter what I do, XP SP3 causes the computer to restart in safe mode only. I'm totally frustrated. Can someone help me?

  Ok. Thank you guys created and a new profile and restarted and all kind of memory freed, but of course Firefox is practically naked, so is expected.
  Checked the plugins and extensions, no major problems that are not there, I could see. I have a Gig of RAM installed around a little more, do not think I can add as many more on my old Dell PC of 2005. So I'll just switch to Firefox Safe mode when memory begins to be tight.   One:

  • Open Blackberry Desktop Software & connect your device with the PC using the USB cable, without inserting the battery.
  • You have three Retry option, update or cancel, and then click Update.
  • Once it is at the stage of the "initialization of pocket" update, then insert the batteries.
  • If this does not work, and you get stuck on the safeguarding of social data feeds, go to the second method below.

  Second:

  • Connect to the BlackBerry Desktop Software and allow handheld to connect. If you are prompted to update, cancel the upgrade for later.

  • Go to device > delete > SELECT DATA > select this option to remove the Social flow and smart card data bases and follow the rest invites you to complete.

• El Capitan memory use increases AFTER safe mode

  Can't quite understand it.

  In OS X 10.11.1: After starting in safe mode, then restart after that, App memory continuously increases.

  Before the safe mode:

  The App memory: 521,2 MB

  Wired memory: 470,3 MB

  Then,

  Start in safe mode, all reboots of performance:

  Memory of the App: 2.67 GB

  Wired memory: 525,1 MB

  In addition, in the observer activity, looks like all processes jumped upwards of 10 MBs, which could explain memory App to go up, but I still cannot understand why.

  Incase anyone is wondering, I was able to restore 10.11.1 boot minimum memory usage by using:

  sudo update_dyld_shared_cache-force

  I'm not an expert here, and I DON'T recommend do you it yourself.  If you have a machine with more RAM you need, this could actually help not at all, especially if your boot drive is NOT on an SSD.

  Means the most sure to solve the problem, if you still think it is a problem, is to reinstall from recovery of the Internet.

  so I check apparently I solve the problem. I run a system check and all is fine... I reboot my computer and I get: problem hard drive detected iminent failure press F1 to continue... boots up in safe mode only... the changes ive made did nothing because when the computer reboots, it starts again in SafeMode only. but with the networking and database drivers and the DCs as startup options. nothing seems to stick to restart the computer for the changes to take effect.

  To be sure, this is the problem do the following:

  Go to the website of your computer manufacturer > find specifications of hardware in your computer (hard drive) > access the Web Hard Drive from the manufacturer site > download their diagnostic software > make a Bootable disc > test your hard drive.
