continuous beep on startup and the black command screen

I have problems with the boot on my computer laptop gateway. I bought it last year, and despite the update anti spyware and etc., he refuses to start after a black screen.it command refuses to go into hibernation mode is that drives me crazy. When I try to put it in this mode the red light that usually indicates the hibernation mode flashes 3 times faster and when I open the screen it displays the screen of welcome without a moments notice. is this just a virus? or is it something else. I don't have the keys sticky and I clean them every week and ran the antivirus program several times a week since I bought it.

Hello

Sound beeps are error codes that describe a problem with your machine. A continuous beep
can mean keyboard (loose or bad cable), losing the card, power, a short circuit or other matter according to the
System/BIOS manufacturer.

Startup and select CONFIGURATION/SETTINGS (BIOS/CMOS) - usually F2 that you start - look to see BIOS
Creator, then see here:

  • 2 beeps on startup and the white screen - Satellite P300 - 19 p

    Hi guys,.

I installed an Express card yesterday and he did all sorts of havoc (IRQ conflicts, hook etc.).

I went to reboot this morning and he is now just give me 2 beeps and nothing on screen. I watched the phoenix bios beep codes, but it is not listed. Any ideas if I do a reset of the BIOS with a rider?

Of course I tried to remove the Express card!

    Any help would be fantastic

    Thank you

    Owen

    Hey Buddy,

BIOS resetting is possible only to an authorized service, but I think that the BIOS is the problem because these beep codes mean that a hardware malfunction has been detected

What you can do is to remove the battery and the AC adapter for an hour and then reconnect the two. Your laptop boot?

If not it material s serious malfunction and you must contact a technician from laptop to help.

    Hello

To be honest, it's very strange question. What is some external device connected to your laptop?
Have you tried to update the BIOS to the latest version?

Sorry, but I think that in this case, there is not a lot, you can do it. Perhaps the BIOS update, clean install of the OS. All that s.
Maybe you should contact the closest service and ask what it can be.

  • Computer continuously beeps at startup but is not on (Compaq Mini CQ10-500)

Hello, if I was about to do a factory restore on my computer later in the day, but I was unlucky that the computer has stopped working when I turn on it beeps continuously and won't turn on, I chose the option "Start windows normally" and even the possibility that files (to fix the problem don't not let me start) controls/Diagnostics , but when he says "loading files" it begins to beep again and the process stops.

Someone please help me with this?

I also read that he "might" be a problem with the RAM, but maybe it was for a different problem or if, but if it's a problem with the RAM, so how can I solve this problem?

    Hello Cosmic_Wolf,

I understand your beeps at startup.

You can try reinstalling the RAM.

Remove the ram and then reinsert it.

    Also do a hard reset.
    Turn off the computer.
Remove the power cable and battery.
Hold down the power button for 15 sec while booth energy sources are deleted.

This should reset the hardware in the computer.

That you put it on press the F10 key. This will load the BIOS setup utility.
Press F9 to load the default values.
Press F10 to save and exit.

When the computer starts up, check if everything is working.

I would like to know how everything goes.

  • MacBook 3 beeps on startup (and more)

    Friends,

I had a lot of trouble with my mac from a few months ago.  I first noticed the problem when I take my Macbook Pro in the upper left corner of the base (entering by the ESC key).

After that I take it, the computer will restart immediately.  It wasn't a huge problem until my laptop started beeping 3 times at startup.  In the end, I thought that it was a situation of RAM, and he just needs to be replaced.  This is my go - to fix if the beeps never started again (which they would be weekly or more).  My problem got worse and worse and the beeps return earlier and faster.  I'm constantly afraid closures hard are eating away at my computer and I don't know what to do.  Every now and then, the aura of bars, crossing, screen to enter the upper left corner.

Any help is appreciated, I intend to take it in as soon as I get home (I'm a student) but want to see if there is something I can do.  LANDAU has been reset, and all the RAM have been pre-installed.

I work with a MacBook Pro (13-inch, mid 2012) and El Capitan running.  8 GB 1600 MHz DDR3 RAM that say 'OK' in the diagnosis.

Thank you guys so much, let me know if I can provide further information.

Three beeps indicate that RAM is unable or does not, and must be replaced.

  • Continuous beep on startup that goes once connected - Satellite 3000

I just brought a satellite laptop computer opportunity 3000-214, which worked well on the first departure to the top, but I turned it off then decided to turn right back on and now it makes a nosie continuous beep until windows load then stops. The machine then works perfectly since then. Any ideas.

[Edited by: admin on 5 February 06 12:45]

    Hello

You said that the unit stops Windows load. Is the unit freezes or stops?
Have you checked the battery status? Try to remove the battery and after a few minutes trying to plug it in again. Try to start the device again.
If this doesn't help the Toshiba service should check the laptop.

  • XP hangs at startup and the dialog box provides the following: a problem has prevented Windows to check exactly the State of this computer

I am rebuilding a system that has been attacked by several viruses and had to rebuild XP using the Windows installation disc.  After completing the repair, I was greeted by the XP logon screen and I tried to log in as administrator. The standard screen grass-hill appears followed by a Windows dialog box to activate product indicating "a problem has prevented windows to check exactly the State of this computer.  To keep your copy of windows must be activated with Microsoft. You want to activate Windows now? "If I choose 'No', then Windows drives me back to the login screen.  If I choose "Yes" then Windows does nothing - activation does not occur and XP does not start... the system just hangs.   I also tried to open a session without failure, but he said that I could not activate safe mode and started back me to the login screen.  I am able to get to a command prompt, if I select Mode safe mode with prompt at startup.  FYI, I am able to view the structure of this version XP Directory when I configure the HARD disk as a slave on another system drive.  Any help to resolve this matter will be highly appreciated.

I have exactly the same problem and after 2 days of searching and trying stuff found on the internet, I have solved this problem.

At my computer configuration: Windows XP sp3 with IExplorer 8, but had to go back to the repair facility after that some system files have been corrupted, do not know why.
My repair CD installation was: Windows XP sp2

In my view, the main problem is that after the installation of repair, the system obtained in conflict of existing versions of IExplorer 7 and 8. IE 7 & 8A prevented the application of activation of MS (OOBE) of working after the installation of repair, the OOBE application silently chrashed and prevented the logon process.

I couldn't connect even in safe mode, BUT with failure + command prompt, safe mode I managed to log on! So, choose the mode without failure + command promt in the trunk. Then open a session with success. Then close the command prompt and press CTRL + ALT + DEL to Task Manager. In task manager launches the new application "c:" and answer 'No' to the following question, and after an error message you c: drive open and you'll have office. You can close the System Restore Wizard who opened. Then go to c:\windows\ie7\spuninst and run spuninst.exe. Do the same to c:\windows\ie8\spuninst. After you have uninstalled both, restart windows, and after the first issue of activation, you should get the big activation dialog box.

I have spent a lot more time, because I was told that uninstall IE7 and IE8 is possible to do this via the command prompt. I did, but it has not fixed my problem. Then I tried a thousand other tricks at the same time.

Please let us now if this helped you.

I had this problem too, but it resolved now on the Apple store. They had seen previously on older hardware which has been updated for Sierra with FireVault market and occurs when the operating system is switching graphics modes. I got just my logic board replaced so wanted it is solved.

We have attempted to extinguish FireVault, but the question was still there. Then they have successfully installed a new copy of a Mavericks and the problem was gone. Then they installed a new copy of Sierra and the question is still missing. Now, I have re-enabled FireVault and the issue has gone.
