control file path of strength left in fact justify text on path
I often find that the paths of files displayed in the file path controls are too long and gets truncated. Problem is that the right side of the lane becomes truncated and one may say is more this file was not selected.
I'd rather largely aligned left the path so that the left side of the path is truncated and the name of the file is visible.
I bet that there is no reasonable way to do it. Please prove me wrong.
Thanks in advance,

I just played around with the property "Text.ScrollPos". The wire just a number high enough to him and he will give you everything you want.

SQL loader file path control...
Hi all
I run the query through sql loader client machine below...
saved query in the file loader.ctl, which I kept it in the path "D:\loader.ctl" below...
options (skip = 1)
load data
INFILE 'D:\flat.txt '.
in the GL_INTERFACE table
fields ended by ',' optionally surrounded "" "
* (STATUS, LEDGER_ID, USER_JE_SOURCE_NAME, USER_JE_CATEGORY_NAME, ACCOUNTING_DATE, CURRENCY_CODE, DATE_CREATED, CREATED_BY, *)
SEGMENT1, SEGMENT2 SEGMENT3, SEGMENT4, SEGMENT5, ACTUAL_FLAG, ENTERED_DR, ENTERED_CR, GROUP_ID)
Now my doubt is, to run the above, I need to run the command in sql loader below...
sqlldr USERID = apps/apps CONTROL = loader.ctl
In the control file, we have given the path to the data file, but * how the command (SQLLDR) identifies the path of the control file. ? *
What I have to give or...?
Is it possible to run the loader program above in the customer's computer? or we have to run only one server...
Please clarify my doubt.
Thank you and best regards,
MuthuHello
The preferred method is, if you use oracle apps, then a simultaneous recording of type sql * loader
the ctl yor file in $/bin. Run the program at the same time to load the data. I'm just givng you advice, you search on google, that you will get several ways to do the same things.
There are many ways such as the use of the external table, UTL_FILE or Shell Script to do the same thing.

Restored control file has old data file path?
DB version: 11.2.0.2
On a new machine, we have successfully restored under the data files to the desired location.
After the restoration when I questioned v$ datafile it still shows data from the source server file path because the restored control file still has the old path to this topic.run { set newname for datafile 1 to '/data/oradata/clspdb/clspdb_system01.dbf' ; set newname for datafile 2 to '/data/oradata/clspdb/clspdb_sysaux01.dbf' ; set newname for datafile 3 to '/data/oradata/clspdb/clspdb_undotbs01.dbf' ; . . . . restore database; }
Now I have to issue ALTER DATABASE DATAFILE to RENAME... Since the SQL prompt before I run the RECOVER command. Right? Now I have to issue ALTER DATABASE DATAFILE to RENAME... Since the SQL prompt before I run the RECOVER command. Right?
No need. Include
SWITCH DATAFILE ALL
in the execution block just after the RESTORE command. That is to say. It must precede the RECOVER command. This should update the control file with the new paths
It should look like
run { set newname for datafile 1 to '/data/oradata/clspdb/clspdb_system01.dbf' ; set newname for datafile 2 to '/data/oradata/clspdb/clspdb_sysaux01.dbf' ; set newname for datafile 3 to '/data/oradata/clspdb/clspdb_undotbs01.dbf' ; . . . . restore database; switch datafile all; recover database; }

Make a bunch of audio files, placed in a folder on my desktop. Files initially sent to RealPlayer to burn, but when finished burning CD and went to read a CD, folder got seized by Media Player, 'Indexed' and disappeared from the office. I'm a relatively new computer user, and I need to learn more about file paths, how to view the path FULL of a file on my computer and how to type (create) full path when I need to. The "Indexing" feature seems to erase this lesson for me, and after having spent four hours trying to find Vista instructions on "How to move the file from one place to another", I gave up! Windows 'Help and Support' on my computer gives wrong directions. It states that if I right click on a folder > properties, a dialog box opens with a tab by which I can move my account. There is no tab location here. I found locations tab when right click on the "Mobile" folder, but still no option to "move file". No idea what is the folder "Roaming" or why it's on my computer. I want my audio files in the My Music folder, but this place is "access denied." Don't know how to get the audio file it in any case, but if anyone has any advice, I would be very happy! Thank you. PS - I had no problem moving folders in XP. I don't like the idea that a computer is to decide where to put my files. I want to control where I put my files. I don't like the way search works under Vista. I liked the XP search companion better because, for a computer fool like me, it was really easy to organize and find files and folders and had an option specific to find audio and video file TYPES.
Here is an article on how to move your personal folders in Vista: http://www.howtogeek.com/howto/windows-vista/moving-your-personal-data-folders-in-windows-vista-the-easy-way/. If you're talking about the special folders (such as photos, Documents, office...), then here is an article on how to move: http://www.winhelponline.com/articles/95/1/How-to-move-the-special-folders-in-Windows-Vista.html.
If you have trouble with the search after you move the files, then rebuild the index: http://www.tech-recipes.com/rx/2103/vista_rebuilding_the_search_index/. Here is an article on how to use Indexing Options in Vista that may be useful for you: http://www.vistax64.com/tutorials/69581-indexing-options.html.
If the above does not help, your problem seems to relate to the image of the files/folders and their interactions with Media Center (which operate on different other folders). Please repost your question in images and video Forum at: http://social.answers.microsoft.com/Forums/en-US/vistapictures/threads where the people who specialize in issues of the image will be more than happy to help you with your quesitons.

What is it now?

I have a question about the creation of a control file. If I want to create another control file, do I need to put values/paths of the control file in the CREATE CONTROLFILE statement?
go in $ORACLE_HOME/dbs directory... you will find pfile/spfile.

Help with moving Image file path
I have 4 animations that I want to put on the same page. These animations contain SEQs png images. Given that I can't import a seq directly image on BOARD (if I can please let me know how) I export Fireworks symbols. This process renames all images exported to "s (frameNumber). as a result, all of these animations have at least 100 images with the same name. what I need to do, is create an Images / (subfolder) for each of these animations. How can I change the default path to the folder of images I can do this?
I suppose I could change the names of the files in the SEQ to be different by using a script in PShop, but then they will have to be reassigned to the time on board, which would be a major pain, or unless the .ansym file can be modified to change the names of file before importing? It just seems that control Image folder path is the simple solution. In the futrue a pref project that would allow the user to choose a picture file path would be great.
Thanks for any direction here
Joel H
Hi Joel, Edge defines the path to default image via a variable called "im" in this file: "yourFileName_edge.js".
However, sometimes, Edge does not use this var and instead uses the path of the full image like this:
filling: ['rgba (0,0,0,0)','images / test_1.jpg ',' 0px 0px ',' ']
Anyway (by creating a new var with your unique paths and adding the var for the paths of the image, or hard-coding new paths of image), you can manually change the paths to your images in this file.

Whwn to create a standby control file?
Hi all
I want to set up a database waiting for my Production DB.
I have a doubt, can we create a watch by control file when the primary database is in place and the mode of running(read-write). or otherwise is a must in Mount State only?
Please notify.
Thank you.Dear IndianDBA,
There is one important thing to remember before you create a standby controlfile. You must create the controlfile after the full database backup, which is taken with the Recovery Manager (RMAN).
You can create standby controlfile is on the mount status or open state of the database in him giving an absolute path. I think that there should be no problem to create during the State opened the database.
Kind regards.

How can I validate the data in the control file?
Consider that the SQLLoader reads the data entry of the path file and loads the data in the base tables up on top of the description specified in the control file.
First, the form is created:
create table sql_loader_1 (load_time date, digital Champ_1, Champ_2 varchar2 (10))
Example of control file:
load_1.CTL
load data
INFILE "load_1.dat", "str"\r\n"
insert into table sql_loader_1
(
load_time sysdate,
Champ_2 position (01:10).
Champ_1 position(11:20)
)
Note that positions 11 to 20 are loaded in positions 1 to 10 in Champ_2 and Champ_1. The load_time field is filled with time current (sysdate) load.
Here is the data. The name of the file (load_1.dat) had been specified with the statement for infile in the control file.
load_1.dat
0123456789abcdefghij
**********##########
foo bar
This is a very long line
and the next one is
short
declared the Champ_1 as a numeric data type, but the input data file contains the data "Sue"(position 11:20) so the sql loader adds not the record to the database instead the record is written in the bad file. But I want to validate the data of the "(position 11:20) is digital or not." How can I post this in the control file itself? If it is not possible, how can I validate it in the database? give me a sample code to explain thisHere are two ideas.
Idea 1: This control file will check to see if the data to be loaded in Champ_1 contains a number (including the negative and decimal).
load data infile 'load_1.dat' "str '\r\n'" insert into table sql_loader_1 ( load_time sysdate, field_2 position( 1:10), field_1 position(11:20) "decode(trim(translate(:field_1,'-0123456789.',' ')),null,:field_1,-999)" )
If Champ_1 is a number or null, it is passed through, as is. If there is no numeric characters (in addition to '-'and'.') a distinct value-999 will be inserted for you allow to load the rest of the columns and easy to see the lines had data that cannot be loaded in Champ_1. This idea has its flaws (a string like "... ("will always drain the .bad file)
Idea 2: Load the data into a staging table first (or define an external table) where all columns are VARCHAR2. Then use SQL or PL/SQL to validate data in the staging table in your process to move the data into the table with the actual data types.

the steps of the control file multiplexing
I am preparing for the OCP and I met the case below and I don't know which is the right answer.
So, could help the guys take the right one and explain why?
144: you want to protect your database from single point of failure by multiplexing by the control file. Your database is started using SPFILE. You must perform the following tasks
1. stop the database instance;
2 copy the control to the new location.
3 configure the parameter CONTROL_FILES.
4 restart the instance.
Select the order in which these tasks must be completed:
(a) 1,2,3,4
(b) 3,2,1,4
(c) 3,1,2,4
(d) 2,3,1,4
the answer said c) is good.
Here is my explanation, please see if it's good?
to ensure the consistency of the control file before copying again place, we must stop the database.
Thus, the order is 2 must be after 1, so we got a) or c).
to configure CONTROL_FILES, you must start the instance at least, so we can eliminate one) and we left with c).
Correct me if I'm wrong.
Thanks to a bouquet.

instance would check if the two controlfiles exist, and if one of them isn't, then instance will not be able to mount the database right?YES, there should be two controlfiles, otherwise you get errror "Can' identity controlfile.
>
My question is WHY NOT?
These two controlfiles are the same, and instance would only need or read one of them to go further, then why not be able to mount the DB?It's depends on the parameter control_files you have defined in the PFILE/SPFILE file...
multiplexing is to avoid the SPOF (single point of failure)...as you say, a lost controlfile... without informing you if the oracle database starts with unique controlfile... so, how can you know... If you continued if tomorrow you lost the other? While is it?
Thank you

Here are the details:

ORACLE instance started.
Total System Global Area 734003200 bytes
Bytes of size 2141536 fixed
328159904 variable size bytes

Redo buffers 34603008 bytes
ORA-01103: "Used2" database name in the control file is not "Tests1.
you want save ctl file and changing the dbname, get error below...
Tests1 > alter database backup controlfile to trace;
ALTER database backup controlfile to trace

ERROR on line 1:
ORA-01507: database not mounted

* .db_name = "Gel1.
I found used2 entered into the alert log file...
Tests1: / app/oracle/tests1/admin/bdump > grep used2 alert_TESTING1.log
DBNAME will change to the new DBNAME of used2 tests1
Name of database used2.
ID of the database for the database used2 changed in 1933958893.
I tried to create new controlfile and tried to start... got under error so I hv mentioned even path of the data files...
ORA-01161: name of database used2 in the file header does not match name tests1This is the first law of holes.
When you are in a hole, the first thing you can do is STOP digging.
Did you take a full backup, the cold since the event started?
DBNAME will change to the new DBNAME of used2 tests1
When & why this has happened?
You have a valid & recent backup?
I tried to create new controlfile
Why did you do this?
