  • CS 6 (Mac) - do Blu Ray and DVD discs

I have projects where both a Blu Ray and DVD are necessary.  Is there a way to define the encoding of file DVD:

    (1) lower the Bitrate (still still believes a rate much higher than necessary; often exceeding the space on the DVD)

    (2) together 2 for MPEG video allow big screen (option shows black bands and confirms no widescreen)

Lately, I've been coding components DVD separately, but still requires a new chapter markers when replacing the video tracks.  So I will use again for DVD or separately with DVD Studio Pro.

1 no problem at all to do this, simply stop using automatic transcoding settings & enter values manually.

2 - Make sure that the sequence is correctly interpreted as screen 16:9 instead of 4:3 full frame (click right/interpret the film or edit pictures)

For a Blu - ray player, I would recommend AVC (H.264) MPEG-2 - you'll get two times more content in the same space, it's a more efficient codec.

  • Reading/Controlling Arduino with iPhone Dashboard

    Hello

I'm new using Dashboard OR so please bear with me.

I'm working on the installer is a TCP/IP connection between my computer and an Arduino with WiFi shield. The computer has a VI that connects to the Arduino, currently the Arduino is the server and receives data from sensors that it displays in graphics and medium. VI also adjustable a yellow and Red limits for data from the sensor, and when the latter is reached, a stop test command is sent to the Arduino.

I am trying to add a smartphone to the current configuration. Initially, I had planned to write an application with a custom telnet but I thought that the dashboard could better work (such as graphics display). I downloaded the dashboard for iPhone but were unable to establish a connection to the Arduino when it is not connected to the computer VI. The connection itself has no effect on the side of the iPhone app shows continually links and nothing else. The only way I know that a connection has been established, it's that the Arduino is defined in the light of an LED only when connected.

I have three major concerns are:

    1. are there any documents to be able to use the dashboard with iPhone? If not, is the iPhone Dashboard more limited than the dashboard iPad for which there is of the documents? I have not been able to find a lot of documentation for dashboard with iPhone, iPad only (http://www.ni.com/white-paper/13757/en/).

    2. relying on Q1. is it possible to add controls to the iPhone (I have to be able to send a command to stop the phone if the installation should work) of dashboard?

3 should. the dashboard be connected to a computer running a VI? My original plan to was to directly connect to the Arduino. skip the command stop via the computer, it is doable but diverted.

    Hope to hear from you,
    Yusif Nurizade

The version of the phone has 'charts', but not 'graphics '. In LabVIEW terminology this means that you can see the latest data and history, but history is stored locally in this table (not the server). You will see that the history of data points that your client has received. In the version of phone we also do support the scalar data types, which means that you can see only one of the data point. Basically, this means that it is not enough for streaming of signals. The dashboard will update the table by adding a single fixed-rate data point (as described here: http://digital.ni.com/public.nsf/allkb/DF058CF63BC25E29862579EB0062E828). No matter what the server made the dash displays only data to the fixed rate, and it will drop all intermediate values arriving between the last update and the next update. It should only be used to see a preview of the last value and certain values passed.

There are several ways to see the differences between the versions, but perhaps not in the form that you are missing. First of all, this page describes the data types supported for each version:

    http://digital.NI.com/public.nsf/allkb/D9B247551BE7F46A8625795000552CDE

This page shows the new features available in version 2.x (which is available on the tablets):

    http://www.NI.com/white-paper/14033/en/

Whatever it is described as a new feature on this page is not available in versions of phone, which are based on the 1.0 version of the application.

"2. my current setup is Arduino as the server and the client computer. I have to back to allow the phone access to the data on the computer? "You said that theDashboard does not need to delve into TCP/IP at low altitude, so I wonder if there is a way to connect to the VI computer without involving the Arduino or reversal of the client-server relationship.

I'm assuming that the data that you actually care comes from the Arduino, so at some level, the Arduino could still be considered a server. The concept of client and the server gets a little fuzzier when you introduce an intermediary, i.e. what would be your LabVIEW application. From the point of view of the Arduino the LabVIEW application would be a customer (it connects to the Arduino). From the point of view of the phone the LabVIEW application is the server (the phone connects to it). How your application is connect to the Arduino using its Protocol, acquire all relevant data, convert it to an appropriate data type and publish it in a way that is accessible to the application of data dashboard (i.e. a shared variable or a web service).

  • Try to set markers to jump through DVDs with remote control?

CS5.    I would like to know how to jump through a long DVD with control away from the player.  I tried defining markers, first non numbered then numbered and it did not work with the DVD when I played it on the VCR.  I remember with body 2.0 when this technique could work.  You can even automatically assign markers every so many minutes.

You need chapter markers again. Those that can be added in PrPro, for importation en (Note: If you export and then import to en, not all formats will carry these markers), or can be added in fr.

PrPro 2.0 was the last version for DVD authoring. Now, all creation is done in again.

    Good luck

Windows 7 new h8 - 1360t a blu ray player I want to add a 2nd dvd with lightscribe support player.  Which 1 is compatible?

    Hello

It is a machine CTO, he has 2 bays ODD, you can configure to order something as one of them:

Primary optical drive Must select one of the following options:

  • Wallpapers flashes a blue screen with a desktop screen

Product: HP ENVY TouchSmart 15 t-j000 Select Edition CTO Notebook PC, model C9G48AAR, product number: C8P45AV
Problem: Once connected, the screen flashes start screen randomly and does not respond to any input.
Effort: We followed the instructions on the HP web site for this symptom (desktop screen will Flash between a blank blue screen with a task bar and a desktop on startup (Windows 8) computer screen), but it failed at step 8 - start screen flashes in Mode safe mode with no way to find or enter step "Control Panel." We have also restored the system to the last restore point, reinstall the memory and reset the BIOS - all the HP recommended processes for video problems.
Current situation: we have yet to solve problems via the web HP site first; This has left us speechless. We went to the "Contact HP" to discuss with the service agent, but discovered that our warranty expired a week ago. We were directed to the help forum. The laptop is my son and is used for his college course. We need to help, you can provide as quickly as possible. Thank you!

I have advanced and complete steps 8-14 in the correction procedure from HP, including the center of the Action to "never check solutions" are reduced to problem reports. Then we went ahead and made the Microsoft Updates that were pending since we had it restored to a previous restore point. So far so good! The flashing screen problem is not returned. Until that Microsoft published a fix for this problem, I think that bypass it HP will keep us to leave. Thank you!

Could I ask a favor? A HP contact named Mason was initially to help us with this problem, but all attmepts to repsond to his e-mails ended in a failure to deliver ("Diagnostic - code 554).

  • Order the CD or DVD with LabVIEW

    Hi all

I am interested in the control of my CD/DVD internal PC using LabVIEW. I had a quick glance the forums and Web site of nor and it seems that external CD readers can be ordered using a PXI card and the SCSI interface.

Research using LabVIEW, I couldn't find any reference to the SCSI but I guess the Protocol must be put up somewhere, as it can be used with PXI card I found referenced in my search.

Initially, I just open and close the drive - if anyone can offer some advice in the right direction I would appreciate it.

Also, if anyone is familiar with the level of access provided by SCSI maybe I could get some additional information. For example then it would be useful to be able to control that the speed of the motor of the CD player is regardless - this type of control exposed in SCSI?

Thanks a lot for your help.

  • Blue screen with STOP: 0x0000007E (0xc0000005, 0 x 00000066, 0xba4dbc40, 0xba4db93c)

    How to fix blue screen with STOP: 0x0000007E (0xc0000005, 0 x 00000066, 0xba4dbc40, 0xba4db93c)

These accidents were caused by the corruption of memory (probably a driver).  Run these two tests to check your memory and find which driver is causing the problem.

If you are overclocking reset all default before running these tests.
    In other words STOP!

    1 - Memtest.

    * Download a copy of Memtest86 and burn the ISO to a CD using Iso Recorder or another ISO burning program. "http://www.memtest.org/#downiso"] Memtest86 + - Advanced Memory Diagnostic tool

    * Boot from the CD and let it run at least 5 or 6 passes.

Remember, anytime Memtest reports errors, it can be bad RAM or a bad motherboard slot.

Test the sticks individually and if you find a good, test it in all slots.

Any error is indicative of a memory problem.

If a well-known stick fails in a slot of motherboard, it's probably the slot.

    http://www.SevenForums.com/tutorials/105647-RAM-test-Memtest86.html

    2. Driver Verifier

Using Driver Verifier is a dubious proposition. Most of the time it will crash and it will tell you what is the driver. But sometimes it will crash and will not tell you the driver. Sometimes it will crash until you can connect to Windows. If you can't mode without failure, then you will have to resort to editing the registry offline to disable driver verifier.

I suggest that you first back up your data and make sure you have access to another computer so you can contact us in case of problems. Then do a system restore point (so you can restore the system using the functionality of Vista/Win7 Startup Repair).

In Windows 7, you can do a startup repair disk by clicking Start... All programs... Maintenance... Create a system - with Windows Vista repair disc, you need to use your drive installation or from the "Repair your computer" option at the top of the Safe Mode menu.

    So, here is the procedure:
-Go to start and type "auditor" (without the quotes) and press enter
-Select 'Create a custom settings (for code developers)' and click 'Next '.
-Select "Select individual settings from the list complete" and click "Next".
-Select the entire document except for "Low resource Simulation" and click "next".
-Select "Select driver names from a list", then click "next".
Select all drivers that are NOT provided by Microsoft, and then click "Next".
-On the next page, select "Finish".

Restart the system and wait as he crashed to blue screen. Continue to use your system normally and if you know what are the causes of the crash, do it several times. The objective here is to get the system crash because Driver Verifier is stressing out the drivers. If it is not planted for you, then let it run for at least 36 hours of continuous operation (an estimate on my part).

If you are unable to Windows because it crashes too early, try safe mode.
If you can't mode without fail, try to use the system from the installation DVD restore to bring the system back to the previous point of restoration that you created.

Here's a suggestion on how to do a 'clean ': install
    [quote]
For testing purposes, it is best to install Windows "clean".
It is, basically, install the way that Microsoft intended (with the drivers from Windows Update).
This procedure is for Windows 7, Vista is similar (but has 2 service packs)

You will need your installation/recovery DVD (s) before you start.  Once you wipe the hard drive, there is no going back!

1 back up all your data.
It will wipe everything off of your hard drive, so what you want to keep should be backed up elsewhere.

NOTE: If this is due to an infection, remember to analyze the data with current antivirus to another system to locate and remove malware.

    2. connect the system to the internet (if the system shows then disconnect from the Internet, do).

    3. use one of these free utilities to wipe the hard drive:
    DBAN ( http://www.dban.org/download )
    KillDisk ( http://www.killdisk.com/downloadfree.htm ).
This will also remove the system recovery partitions - so the installation/restore DVD is essential!

4 install Windows by booting from the installation/recovery DVD - DO NOT change any settings!

5 visit Windows Update and get all updates

    6. check device for all unknown/disabled devices Manager - if there are unknown disabled devices, secure them with the latest drivers from the website of the manufacturer of the device (not the PC manufacturer)

7 visit Windows Update and download the Service Pack 1 (normally under important updates).  Read these notes for installing SP1: http://support.microsoft.com/kb/2505743

8 visit Windows Update and get any other available updates

9 download, install and update a free antivirus, so it does not get infected during the test ( http://www.carrona.org/freeav.html ).

If problems persist, then the problem is probably with your hardware.

Warning: If you have an Asus motherboard, check the date on the file C:\Windows\System32\driver\ASACPI.sys.  2004/2005 is a problem, 2009,2010 is OK.  Updates are available on the Web from Asus site.

Warning: If you have a Sony system, make sure that you do NOT have the 2007 version (or earlier) Extension of Firmware of Sony Analyzer (SFEP.sys).  To update this driver immediately!

    Hello

1 how long have you been faced with this problem?
    2. don't you make changes on the computer before this problem?

Start the computer by using the Microsoft Windows XP recovery console, and then perform a check disk on the file system.

To do this, follow these steps:

    1. Insert the Windows XP CD in the CD-ROM or DVD - ROM drive, and then restart the computer. Select the required options to start the computer from the CD-ROM or DVD - ROM drive if you are prompted to do so.
    2. once the Welcome to Setup screen appears, press R to start the Recovery Console.
    3. If your computer is configured to dual-boot or multiple boot, select the appropriate installation of Windows XP.
    4. When you are prompted to do so, type the administrator password and press ENTER. NOTE: In Windows XP Home Edition, the administrator password is blank by default.
    5. at the command prompt, type the following command and press ENTER: cd system32
    6. type the following command and press ENTER: chkdsk /r /p
    7. remove the Windows XP CD in the disc drive.
    8. Type exit to restart your computer.

Important: Running chkdsk on the drive if bad sectors are found on the disk hard when chkdsk attempts to repair this area if all available on which data may be lost

    Hello

    Repair and reinstall the information:

Try a startup repair and / or a system restore using a Microsoft Vista DVD (to borrow a)

Manufacturers recovery disks normally do not have Service Options; they are normally a relocation to the factory only settings option.

Here is the guide to repair Options using a Vista DVD from Microsoft.

If a friend or a work acquantance of yours has one, you can borrow and use it for repairs.

If you do not or can not borrow a Microsoft DVD there is a download of a file ISO of Vista Startup Repair available that you can put on a Bootable floppy to make the above startup repair and that the method is recommended by a large number of posters in these Forums.

Unfortunately, you have to buy it.

You can contact your computer manufacturer and ask them to send you a set of recovery disks to reinstall.

Most manufacturers have more available Vista recovery disks.

If this happens, you may need to try this instead:

You can also borrow and use a Microsoft Vista DVD, which contains the files for the different editions of Vista (Home Basic, Home Premium, Business and Ultimate) must be installed. The product key on your computer / Laptop box determines what Edition is installed.

Other manufacturers recovery DVDs are should not be used for this purpose.

And you need to know the version of 'bit' for Vista, as 32-bit and 64-bit editions come on different DVDs

    Hello

You have disk problems as the CD/DVD is actually 4 discs in 1 case (CD & DVD burning and)
Playback of CD and DVD). So it is not unusual for parts from 1 or 2 to not work so that others do
    correctly.

Burning at low speed, or by using the master could help. A CD/DVD cleaner might help.

CD/DVDs have a tolerance + - and your can read/write on the edge outside these discs
tolerances. They may be delivered, but it is generally more economical to replace the disk.

Step 1: Please do all the same underneath if you did some before as is often total
a process that solves the problem.

Try this - Panel - Device Manager - CD/DVD - double click on the device - driver tab.
Click on update drivers (this will probably do nothing) - RIGHT click ON the drive - uninstall.
RESTART this will refresh the default driver stack. Even if the reader does not appear to continue

Then, work your way through these - don't forget the drive might be bad, could be a coward

Another possibility is that the cables are loose. Remove ALL power, then make sure that the cables in both
ends. Remove and replace, do not just tight. For laptops, you can often clean power and
contacts data with a pencil eraser.

Some DVD players do not use the Windows default drivers so check with the manufacturer of system and
manufacturer of device to see if there is a firmware or drivers for your drive if necessary.

    ===============================

Step 2: You have disc problems as the CD/DVD is actually 4 discs in 1 case (CD & DVD
Burn and CD and DVD read). So it is not unusual for 1 or 2 operational so that other parts
    do it right.

Did you follow the Troubleshooting Guide for the reader who still does not work? There are
the entries in registry that the troubleshooter does not solve and those who "might" be the cause.

Check with your Maker system and a device for the two possible firmware updates and
the correct registry entries for your car.

    the parameters.

    HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Enum\IDE

    HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Hardware Profiles\0001\System\CurrentControlSet\Enum\IDE

Use DevManView to locate the CD/DVD in the registry (be careful and do a prior Restore Point)
nothing change) - find the DevManView device and then make a right click on it free in RegEdit.

DevManView - free - an alternative to the standard Windows Device Manager, which displays all the
devices and their properties in flat table, instead of the tree viewer

    I hope this helps.
