Control the duration of numbered still images
In collaboration with the premier cs5 (and AE).
I started making numbered distillers of import because I wanted to warp to the help of twixor and a filter to strain. The images come in fast motion, I guess mount according to setting sequence. It wasn't a problem because I go to slo it to 30% and get these images of weird distortion.
Now I want it slow down and be mor jumpy. so I want the stills to 6-10 views each.
How can I control the duration of the frame of a sequence of time?
How can I define in the active panel in several still image or video?
Is there a better way in AE?
Numbered Still can only be a frame each. If you need an image to last longer than an image, and then import you individual frames, instead of numbered stills.
The duration of these images is defined in Edition > Preferences > General...

What are paragraph properties that control the new paragraph shading option in CC2015?
I have a script that reads in a data file, and I wish I could use the shading of new paragraph like this:
However, I can't find the settings to use to activate the shading and control colors documented anywhere.
paragraph.fillColor = app.activeDocument.swatches.item ("Back_green") has changed the color of the text. Green but not shading.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Under the subsection, you will see this:
That will cover your needs, I think.

Numbering on the right of a paragraph
I need to add automated in InDesign CS4, similar to an AutoNumber, character, but it's a character point rather than a number. This special character must be on the right side of the paragraph rather than at the beginning of the paragraph. An example would be:
Section.
The period would be the automatic character.
It's something that FrameMaker can do, but is it possible in InDesign?
(cross-posted on the InDesign forum)
In addition to making the entirely justified text, it is not that you can do
in this topic...
Another possible suggestion would be to make the anchor text numbers
frames, positioned where you want.

Some letters in my cast list of the indentation, is there a way to correct?
I have problems with the alignment of my list. I was under the impressions that I have set up the indentation correctly for numbered lists, but as soon as I hit the letter i), things get wobbly. Here is a screenshot of the problem to better highlight what I'm talking about.
Notice how instead, the paragraph is a little off. I can only assume it's because of letters that are used. Here is an example of how it looks when the indentation is correct
These two examples use the same styles. Is there a way I can fix the problem that I pointed out in frame 1?
Seems to me you need a tab character after the) together in the same position that the withdrawal to the left in the style if your negative indent on the first line cannot function properly. You can also align the POS 'numbers' the paentheses are aligned to the right.

Control the Structure of the event with text file
I'm new relativaly in LabVIEW (experience only about 2 weeks). I am currently control a stepper motor using a structure of the event. Similar to the sample code given by LIFA, I entered my settings how the engine not move away, then press a button on the windows before, and it works this way. I also have other equipment that works as well in LabVIEW, as a transnational step; all components operate individually.
Now, I'm trying to make the more automated system and to ensure that all the different equipment work in the same code. So, I tried to implement a structure of the event using a text as an input file to try to control events. The text file has a table 1 d of numbers going down vertically (only the line numbers change). So, I used a table of index function to take the numbers one by one, use a loop (while loop in this example) to go to the bottom of the column of numbers. However, the event not register the change, even if the indicator shows the value is changing.
Attached, it's my test code and the text file that I use to try to control the structure of the event. Please let me know what I am doing wrong. Thank you.
Oh, now I understand what you tried to say. I'm using a loop and a case structure to activate different events with the entries in the table. I thought case structures and event were the same, but you taught me the event structures are used just for the façade stuff. Thank you all!

Use the table of numbers as "item select to compare.
Greetings,
I'm curious to know how to use an array of numbers as value in the tab select edit ideally my "case" would execute an expression "Contains(Locals.arrayofnumbers,0)."
Basic principle:
1 Labview VI launches with ListBox containing all tests (multiple selections enabled)
OUTPUT is an array of I32.
2 I32 table is attributed to Locals.arrayofnumbers
3 Locals.arrayofnumbers is used with the element select 'compare '.
4. each CASE has the statement... "next" Contains(Locals.arrayofnumbers,#)
* each case would have 1 sequence to run *.
Currently TS throws an error prompt indicating that the Select step expected number, that is the table of numbers.
I already found a solution quick and pretty clean by instituiting just a condition prior to each sequence and captured to eliminate flow control all together. But I prefer not to use prerequisites for global flow control if possible and use controls to rate as expected.
I have used TS help, but don't quite give me what I needed. Maybe I didn't use the correct search string. The forum here, is the same. I'm sure that the answer may be there, but maybe I'm using the wrong search string.
Thanks in advance for any help.
To SUM UP: User selects (via LabVIEW listbox) 1 - n tests to be run (output table I32). I32 table is used for the selection of the case by evaluating "contains (Local.arrayofnumbers, 0).
Kind regards

Honestly, a Select System / box is the wrong choice for what you do. I'd go with the prerequisite options. It reduces the number of steps of TestStand.
In your case you just to see whether something exists or not in a table. Ideally, you will use the Select operations / box when you have 1 selected option of many. I suppose you're a loop around the case select so that you can run all the tests so that your code looks something like this:
For N (N is the number of tests they have selected)
Select Locals.ArrayOfNumbers
Briefcase (Locals.ArrayOfNumbers, 1).
Run test 1
Briefcase (Locals.ArrayOfNumbers, 2)
Run the test 2
Select close
Closing loop
If you want to use the Select option / box correctly I would like this:
Item ForEach in Locals.ArrayOfNumbers (assign the item being Locals.i)
Select Locals.i
Case 1
Run test 1
Case 2
Run the test 2
Select close
Close ForEach
I hope that makes more sense. If you have any questions let me know.
Kind regards

Can I control the activity of the two loops independently while in the same vi?
I would like to run two generators of random numbers (RNG) in the same vi. The first GNA go all the time that the vi is running. But I would like to be able to control the second RNG (turn on and off at will). I consider start and stop buttons wired for the while loop to control the GNA. I tried a few different configurations but none work so far. I have included a simple vi with the start and stop buttons. I don't know how to reach my goal with them. Thanks for your help.
Like this:
You forgot to attach your vi. You don't need two while loops.

Sort the listBox that contains the text and numbers
Is there a script to sort a listBox control that contains the text and numbers using a button?
I would have preferred that he sort 1, 2, 10, 20, 100, not 1, 10, 100, 2, 20
Examples are part numbers: HP1457100-9, 011-2025-479, 85216, etc.
You may need to change this line:
oTarget = this,
It refers to the object to display the results.

Push the new entries to the next column when paragraph overflows
There are three styles of paragraph in use here: heading , subheadingand paragraph. Currently, the style of each paragraph has attributes control only the font style and spacing of paragraphs.
In the following screenshot, you'll see that the paragraph at the bottom of the left page overflows the text field on the right page. In cases where the position, headingor paragraph overflow to the next column, I want to force the elements starting with the topic start on the right page.
Here is how it is now:
Here's how I would want it behaves:
It is not possible to manually adjust the heights of text frame that paragraphs will constantly change through many pages because of conditional text, and other variables. Is it possible to set up a net of paragraph or another property to automatically produce this behavior across all blocks of text containing these paragraph styles?
Have a look at the options of Dungeon.
Access through the window or the paragraph style > type > paragraph menu fly.
Looking to keep Options InDesign secrets on Google.

Color of the name of paratag in the quick list of paragraph Format (F9)
(FM12.0.4 on Win7x64)
Where can I set the background color of an entry tag paragraph selected in the quick list of paragraph Formats (F9)?
Under Windows: Control Panel > personalization > window color and appearance? If so, which point?
So I ask you: the background color is quite similar to the blue that is used for the characters of the tag name that I can't read the selected item.
Edit 20150626: Adding a screenshot.
I don't remember noticed this problem in the quick list with 12.0.3.
Best regards

Control the order in which the tools are displayed
Hello
I have developed a number of folder level JavaScripts. Each JavaScript displays a button to launch under the "additional tools".
I was hoping that someone could tell me how I can control the order in which these buttons will be displayed.
Buttons are displayed in alphabetical order according to the 'cLabel '? If they are listed according to the date and time the file was created or modified?
Is there an optional parameter to set the order?
Thank you
Linda
Hello
Actually, I figured out how to control the order in which appear the buttons below "additional tools".
There is an optional parameter for app.addToolButton called NPO: which can be used. I think that the lower the number used, the highest on the list, the button will appear. This kind of work. The list of buttons re - arrange themselves, but not exactly the way I wanted to.
Another thing I did was to rename the JavaScript files. I went before the first file name with a '1 '. The second file directly under the first I preceded it's name with a number '2' and so on. That seemed to do the trick...
All I had to do was probably to rename the JS files with the '1' and '13' numbers and buttons with appear correctly.
Thank you
Linda

How to type Hebrew phrases in the middle of a paragraph in French (or English)?
With Microsoft Word, it is easy to enter a Hebrew phrase in the middle of a paragraph in French. But when one reads the file in Indesign (CS6), all the Hebrew is recognized, a Hebrew font is used, but the text typed in the wrong way, as if she was THINKING IF ROLIAT YM in English. I read in help InDesign help | Arabic and Hebrew features | CC, CS6.
I see that there is a difference in the character Panel menu and the menu of characters in the French edition:
= English version support form:
If you have a mixture of languages in the same paragraph, you can specify the meaning of the text on a character level. In addition, to insert dates or numbers, specify the meaning of the text at the level of the character.
In the character Panel menu, choose the Direction of character , then select a direction.
Character direction
==============
In the French version, the list is shorter and the choice 'Character Direction' does not exist.
What I need is just a way of inverting the characters of a group of words. What should do? I use Indesign CS6 on a Mac.
André Bellaiche
Somewhere on this help page, there are a few subtleties, indicating that it applies to the edition ME (Middle East) of the software. Your French edition is not the tools in the user interface to use the right-left InDesign features. If you are a subscriber to the cloud, you can download a version of North Africa with all the tools from right to left and an interface in French. If you're not, you can buy a stand-alone license for that (very expensive, even more than your French CS6 permit cost) or buy a (relatively cheap) plugin, as Tools of world.

How to control the length of the field... ?
Hi all
All by providing payment details in the payment.jsp... If we use a credit card which has 16 digits then, how to control the ground to allow the entry of 16 digits only... ?
Thank you
Vishnu Write javascript to enter only numbers and set the "16" size = attribute to limit the size to 16 digits.
JavaScript can be like that of google.
function isNumberKey (evt) {}
charCode var = (evt.which)? evt.which: event.keyCode
If (charCode > 31 & (character code < 48="" ||="" charcode=""> 57))
Returns false;
Returns true;

Controlling the timeline with Touch
Hello! I use edge animated in adobe dps. I tried to control the timeline with the key (or scrolling) in the forum. Even some alternatives were considered, I have not found the perfect one. It can open so many possibilities as slideshows, Parallax, diagonal textscroll etc.
I would like to build an extensive animation and control the scenario of scrub/shot with my finger.
I found something that works, but it seems that directions works in adobe edge host plus. Anyone know how to fix this? Demofiles would be great.
Here is the solution I found, which does not work on the last leg.
http://codehandyman.blogspot.de/2011/12/Adobe-edge-animation-controlled-by.html
And here is the result. Work on ipads in indesign dps:

Thank you
Klaus
Hey Klaus.
Oddly, the example of codehandyman you posted don't use no events button at all, but rather slyly relies on the scroll event to control the timeline.
I've referenced the link codehandyman, and the only change I had to do was to replace each occurrence of "this.element" with "e.currentTarget", in the Stage.scroll event. Thus, on Stage.scroll, this is the code I have (I tweaked a bit to make it more readable):
var MonCalc = e.currentTarget.scrollLeft/(e.currentTarget.scrollWidth-e.currentTarget.clientWidth);
var pos = Math.round (calc * sym.getDuration ());
SYM. Stop (POS);
The above code essentially the numbers on the scroll position, then figures this ratio depending on the length of the root timeline. This tells us when to jump to the timeline.
You are referencing your blog link - to stop the scrolling, I had to open "xxx_edge.js" and delete this line:
['style', 'overflow', 'auto']
and replace it with this:
['style', 'overflow-y', 'hidden'],
['style', 'overflow-x', 'auto']
Example:
