  Notification options are only available for Windows Vista and higher. The Control of the Volume icon may appear from the Control Panel.

  You said that the Spokesman of AOL could have removed the Control of Volume, please make sure that the following files exist on your system to see if the Setting of the Volume has been either deleted or not

  a. open the taskbar and Start Menu properties by clicking the Start button, clicking Control Panel, appearance and personalization, then clicking on the taskbar and Start Menu.

  b. click on the Area of Notification tab, to see icons, click Customize, click the icon (volume), you want to display, and then select the drop down options accordingly.
  c. click applyand then click OK.

  I have good news. I was able to reproduce, locate and bypass your problem.

  The problem is the following:

  works very well in JSF pages, but it does not work in JSF fragments (which are part of a glued TaskFlow, what is included in a page parent as a ) because ADF when executing a miscalculation of the value of of 'for' - attribute when it is part of a region BTF. For example, suppose that the has id = "it1" (as it is in your JSF fragment above) and this TaskFlow defined in included as a with id = "r1" in a parent page. Then the internal ID of the input text field will be 'r1:0:it1', but at runtime, the framework will set the value of 'for' - attribute to the 'r1:it1' (which is wrong) instead of "r1:0:it1" (which is the correct value).

  You can work around this bug by specifying:

  Instead of

  in your code above. In this way the framework will make up the correct value for the 'for' - attribute at run time and will not work correctly. Don't worry the caveat against a non-existent ID in the JDev source code editor.

  You must do this trick only in fragments JSF and you should not do in JSF pages.

  Even if I had the volume control on the taskbar before, I get the message under sound & audio in the control panel volume control has not been installed and that I should go to add/remove program to install. How do I do that?

  Do you mean you see a message like this:

  Windows cannot display the control of volume on the taskbar because the Volume control program has not been installed. To install it use Add/Remove programs in Control Panel.

  This means that your system is currently or has been infected with malicious software and your antivirus/antimalware unspecified program quarantined (actually deleted) the following file (assuming that XP is installed on your C drive):

  c:\windows\system32\sndvol32.exe

  That part is usually easy to solve if by simply replacing the file and replace the file will do nothing to relieve your system of malware infections, but we don't know anything about your system.

  I'll take a guess and think that you are running a version of XP with Service Pack 3 and you have no genuine XP bootable installation CD.

  I downloaded a copy of the file for XP Service Pack 3 on my SkyDrive (everyone has a SkyDrive for file sharing).

  You can download it and when you do, place a copy of the file in these two folders (assuming that Windows is installed on your C drive):

  c:\Windows\System32
  c:\Windows\System32\dllcache (this is where XP keeps backups of important files).

  Answered in the affirmative if invited to replace the existing files.

  When you see the files available for download, you will not see the extension of file (.exe, .dll, .cpl, .sys, etc), but when download you them they will have the right extension.

  You have to put the downloaded files in the correct folders on your system.

  That may not solve all your problems, but at least you will be spending this part and we can then fix the rest.

  I hope you're curious to know how it happened, so answer these questions the best you can:

  What is your system brand and model?

  What is your Version of XP and the Service Pack?

  Describe your current antivirus and software anti malware situation: McAfee, Symantec, Norton, Spybot, AVG, Avira!, MSE, Panda, Trend Micro, CA, Defender, ZoneAlarm, PC Tools, Comodo, etc..

  If the system works, what do you think might have changed since the last time it did not work properly?

  Finally, no matter what you use for malware protection, I would follow with this:

  Download, install, update and do a full scan with these free malware detection programs:

  3. website of the OEM manufacturer for your specific machine if you have a PC OEM (HP, Dell, Sony, etc.).

  Read the installation instructions on the Web site where you get the drivers.

  2. If the computer is OEM, access the site Web of the OEM for your specific model machine and look at the specs (you'll be there to get the drivers anyway)

When I connect my new LCD Acer X 223 that just built system I have a question. on the function of delay display the screen of the monitor is a feature that goes to a black screen after awhile... to save energy which is adjustable up to 2 hours via the menu of the monitor. The time-out period is supposed to restore the screen a few seconds after a mouse is moved or a key. Is not... restart only restores the display on the screen. Support of Acer said that it is a bug in windows 7. Is it possible to control or to disable this feature of the operating system? It is the first day after the building of the system with the Intel DG45ID motherboard and Intel Quad processor. I found that running a webcast in the background keeps the system of locking me... when a web show is still active, the screen turns off after a certain time (time determined by osd menu timeout on screen) but function returns normally when a key is pressed or the mouse moved. Without this or something else running the keyboard or mouse cannot return to the screen.

  If it's a bug, Acer will repair before Oct22nt. I would look to Windows Update for the news about the availability of driver for the Acer chipset.

  The real ID monitors get Windows isn't usually a problem, most programs can adapt to the windows settings and fine.

Same problem if the content was maps or satellite pix. Reset solved the problem.
