'control userpasswords2' is undocumented?

In Windows XP's "control userpasswords2". But there is no access from the control panel. Why?

I wouldn't say "without papers"...  According to the article, he was introduced to allow a user nonadministrator make changes without the need to disconnect from the computer and then log on as an administrator.  Using this method as a nonadministrator user, he simply invite you to enter the password of an administrator and then proceeds to allow the changes with correct password...

I finally thought to it. They wore all the user names that came when I ran the command "control userpasswords2". As I said in my original post, user names in all the names of the Panel user control over all matching computers. The only conflict I've had was in the list of user names in the list found when I ran "control userpasswords2". I went to highlight the 'B' account after that I ran the command, you click Properties and changed his name to 'A'. This solved my access denied problem once and for all. Apparently he does not have all of the accounts in the control panel.

  • What has replaced the utility 'control userpasswords2' in Windows 7? This utility doesn't seem to be available in Windows 7.

    Two points:

    1. to answer your question, go to start | Run and type 'control '.
userpasswords2"select the account that you want to connect automatically.
Then uncheck "users must enter a user name and password
    This computer '.

Or do the same thing with TweakUI.

    2. If I have acquired a used computer, regardless of who was previously owner
the first thing I would do with it would be to reinstall the operating
system itself. You don't know how the computer has been maintained,
which has been improperly installed, what's missing, what virus and
There may be spyware, etc. I would not live with someone of another errors and problems, possibility of kiddy p0rn, etc, and I would not recommend anyone else to do.
If you reinstall Windows properly, you are playing with fire.

    Hello

Let's start first of all, my apologies for the late reply.

I have tried the above, proposed the solution much earlier, but it did not help. Given that the machine was new and I had installed just a very small number of applications, I had decided to re - install Win Vista from scratch. It helped to solve the problem.

I believe that in my previous installation, the single user account who has been the administrator account has been deleted by me (would it possible?) and this has triggered the problem.

Once the new facility is finished, I took care to create an additional if the administrator account if it happened again.

Thank you all for your time.

    Lyes.

I totally forgot my user account password and I am the only user, so I can't start my computer at all. is it still possible to get anymore on my PC

    Please perform following steps.

REMOVE PASSWORD WINDOWS (WINDOWS 2000, NT, XP, 2003 server): -.

    1. Insert your Windows operating system CD into your CD-ROM drive and start your computer. Make sure that the drive you have selected is the bootable disc.

    2. usually your computer will indicate on-screen that it will now boot from the CD or that you have to press a specific key to boot from the CD. Select the key to boot from the CD.

    3. now that the computer starts from the CD, you will see a first set up the screen that tells the computer to load files

4 after the computer loads some files, a welcome screen appears, follow the instructions and press ENTER to set up Windows.

    5. the next prompt will be the license agreement; Press to accept.

    6. Once you have accepted the license agreement, a set screen will appear giving you the option to do a repair. Select repair.

    7. the repair option should start running immediately and may take a few minutes to check your disks, files, etc..

    8. once the computer has copied the files and scanned your computer it will ask you to restart your computer, or it will automatically restart your computer. You might see a message that your computer will restart in 10 seconds.

    9. when the computer restarts, press any key. The computer restarts automatically and you will see the Windows screen and you will see the message Windows Setup.

    10. it is important to keep your eyes on the lower left corner of the screen. You will see a pop-up message. It will state "installing devices". When you see the progress bar, immediately press "Shift + F10".

    11. When you press SHIFT + F10 a command console will open giving you access to several functions of the system.

    12. at the command prompt, type the following: NUSRMGR. CPL and press ENTER. This entry gives you access to your graphical access to your user accounts in your control panel.

    13. because you have forgotten your password, you can choose the account you need to change or remove the password. If you want to remove your password so that you don't have to enter when you log in, you can enter the following at the command prompt: "control userpasswords2". Once you have made the changes, close the window and close the console command. You can now continue with the repair.

    14. your computer will continue with the repair and ask you your ID product, enter your product ID. Once your operating system starts, you will be able to access your user account with the new password you created or no password at all. It is important to note that this strategy does not damage your files or settings. All your files and settings should be intact.

Answer please, if you face any problem.

    Start > run > control userpasswords2 > OK

will take you to what you need to access and change permissions for logon not required

On the users tab uncheck users must enter a user name and password to use this computer

other options are available to facilitate access

If a default administrator password has been entered it would probably be adminpass or empty field

In both cases, it would be entered twice or white field, then move the cursor to confirm the blank

as non-existent password then confirm white... you see an empty field is itself a password.
