Controller Win 7 SM bus driver?

I recently bought a Sony S Series model # VPCSE290X. I like it, but I decided to do my own version of Win 7 from scratch. I installed the Sony shared library like insisted on the site and I was able to download and install the drivers for everything. All that is except for something called the SM bus controller. The computer seems well and I don't get any errors except the stills of Device Manager indicates this device as not installed properly and that Windows 7 seems to be impossible to d/l any driver for it. I searched in the Sony Forums here and I was completely failed to find a solution to this problem.

So I ask: can someone help me out here?

I just need the driver for the SM bus controller, and I don't know what the SM bus controller is or does.

Thank you in advance.

David

Hello and welcome to the Discussion Forum for the users.

It is easy to understand when you install your own operating system from scratch, that some unknown device could showing upward with a yellow question mark in Device Manager. In your case, the Device Manager shows a yellow question mark for the SMBus controller that I suggest you visit the link below to fix it.

  • No Audio device and Audio HDA Bus Driver Error Win XP SP3

    Hello

I'm running a put together computer, with Windows XP SP3. I've recently accidentally got rid of my sound on my computer, eliminating the bad program in Add/Remove programs. I know that my computer is running Intel (r) 82801 AA AC 97 Audio Control. So I went to the thought of their site, I had deleted the drivers and audio devices. I downloaded the current driver, but this has not fixed the problem even with an update. So I went hunting online and found this link http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9idzHNWZLP0

, thinking maybe that would help me even though I am not a user real tek (have intel of course). But he said that it is compatible with windows xp. I tried downlaoding it and got the error: "could not complete the installation: missing Audio HDA Bus driver.

So now, it seemed to me, I had not only a mistake, but two. I tried to download a driver of Bus HDA, but this failed. I tried to look in the Device Manager to see if there was a red or yellow marker next to my audio devices and maybe they needed to be reinstalled. Showing a problem there, he said nothing everythign was working properly. I tried to use Soundmax audio driver as well, but who was also discussed with the bus driver error. I also went to http://noaudiodevice.com , and these solutions do not work either because I was not faced with a problem of yellow or red marker. I also did this off stupidly deletling the bad thing no one updated.

I'm almost at a loss at this point and was way over my head to start.
I could really use some help. I know that my computer when I had one month ago second hand but wiped off, had run soundmax. If you need more information about my computer or screen shots please let me know. I looked at the subjects here, and none seem to adapt to this situation for me.

Did you get the specific drivers for your motherboard?
If this isn't the case, remember to search the downloads specific to what you have.

You can try a system restore: http://support.microsoft.com/kb/306084

  • Required, not found HDA Audio Bus driver. XP SP3

I run a computer custom made with Windows XP SP3. Under other devices with a yellow question mark is multimedia Audio Controller, through the PNP ID, I discovered it was Analog Devices ADI 198 x integrated Audio. I found a driver (not sure if it was good) and when I went to install the error "HDA Audio Bus Driver required and not found do not" pop up. There is no Bus Microsoft UAA HDA Audio driver also under system devices. I appreciate all the help you give me. It feels like I tried all the solutions, but I'm open for anything at this point. Thank you!

I appreciate your help theplectrum! I went to the Intel Web site to find a driver of Ethernet controller, so I ran the driver update utility. He found a driver of sound for me as well. I installed and rebooted and now I have sound!

  • Where is the "PCMCIA Bus driver" and how to uninstall it?

The menu Tools and Information on the performance said that "these drivers are causing Windows to resume slowly"-

    Name: PCMCIA Bus driver

    File name: pcmcia.sys

    Feature: Texas Instruments controller CardBus PCI - 8 x 12/7 x 12/6 x 12

Other posts on this forum, I understand that it is safe to uninstall this driver if it is not in use.  Unfortunately, I can't find.  I looked in Device Manager (there are two other devices Texas Instruments listed - or one has the correct device name).  I also looked in programs and features and menu of start-up of sysconfig with no luck.

My computer was crashing regularly about 10 minutes after waking up from hibernation.  My hope is that this driver uninstall will fix the problem.  Any help would be greatly appreciated.

It seems that the "Texas Instruments PCIxx12 Integrated FlashMedia Controller" device is the device you are looking for (the first two digits in 8 x 12, 7 x 12 and 6 x 12' is reduced to a "xx12' in the name of the device for simplicity). Try to disable it and see if your problem is solved.

Note: This device looks like it controls a card reader. It is a decive integrated on your CPU, where the floppy drive which reads flash memory cards (for example: SD card, Memory Stick, xD card, etc.).

OK, this is what s up. I uninstalled Vista of the laptop and installed Windows XP Professional (5.1, Build 2600) Service Pack 2. All the drivers I installed works fine except my audio driver. There is no sound.

The pilot was MICROSOFT UAA BUS DRIVER for HIGH DEFINITION AUDIO with a yellow (!) next to it. When I tried open Realtek he said EQ failed or Summit and s there is a sound beep sound from the laptop.

Toshiba virtual sound doesn t work as well. I accidentally uninstalled the driver and now it says device PCI and tells me to insert the disk MICROSOFT UAA BUS DRIVER for HIGH DEFINITION AUDIO but I n t I.

    Please help me!

    Hello

first of all, make sure that you have installed all the important windows updates. All the updates on your system? Ok.

Please visit the www.realtek.com site and download the latest driver for realtek HD sound cards. This driver WORKS 100% because I had a similar problem and after I installed the authentic realtek drivers, I had no problem with the sound.

Hope this works for you, too.

  • XP Home SP1 - MS Universal Audio Architecture HD audio bus driver installation.

High definition audio bus driver MicroSoft Universal Audio Architecture is required before you install the original audio driver after reinstalled XP Home SP1 operating system, on a Compaq Presario.

I downloaded the MS folder and unpacked in a driver's record, but document text tips are only for a network situation.

Help would be appreciated with a few questions:

    (1) is there an easier way to install the UAA driver?

    (2) is there a better driver available or other if I install SP2 I downloaded ready to install offline?

    (3) I believe that it is not safe to use the internet again as the firewall is not sure in SP1. and

    (4) if it is safe to use internet with SP1 which free antivirus could I use?

A simpler way to install MS UAA & the Realtek Audio driver becomes it while one of the Realtek site.

Choose High Definition Audio Codecs, contract, then download the file "Executable":

    Hello

I am reading other threads and it seems that you have a laptop Satellite Pro A60.
What can I say you installed the OS manually and in my opinion a simple driver is missing
Have you tried to install the infrared driver of the European driver Toshiba page?
    It may be a key

In any case, before you start the manual installation of the OS, you must read the Installation Instructions. You will find all drivers that must be installed and the proper installation order.

Please check this document and follow the guidelines

  • Unable to install audio driver because the Microsoft bus driver should be installed

    Hello!

I have a portable satellite series A. When I try to install the sound drivers it says "Microsoft bus driver should be loaded before installing the Realtek High definition audio driver.
I downloaded uplods KB835221 and kb888111xpsp2 and they should solve the problem, but they do not have. What should I do now?

    Hello

The proper installation order is necessary and important.
    You installed SP2?
Sometimes the Toshiba drivers must also be updated after installation of SP2.
But all the information on the driver installation, you should find the driver download area.
