conversion in .pdf .svg with AI?

Hello

How to convert an SVG file as a PDF with the required width and height using CS4/3?

Thanks in advance,

Anand

Well the strange thing is that you can, if you go to print and you choose Adobe PDF as the printer print that you can make a custome size and the scaling here to adapt. But he does everything as cmyk.

If there is a way I didn't. You will need to re - specify the size of the artboard and scale of art separately.

I know what you're thinking and I agree it's the craziest thing in the world to abel to do this for any file. Scale document and art at the same time
a mistake in my opinion especially in the world of todays re targeting.

Problems of conversion of PDF to MS Word document.  I managed to convert 4 files and now the subsequent files generate a "Conversion failed" error when you try to convert the file.  I have a big manuscript and I separated each chapter to help the conversion; as I said, the first 4 pieces without problem, then the conversion failure.  I tried to convert the document integer and same result.  Specifically, I bought the feature export to Word.  Please help.  I had initially export the Word Perfect PDF document and attempting to pass PDF to MS Word.

    Hi sdr2014,

I'm sorry to hear that your conversion process is at a standstill. It seems that the problem is not specific to a single file, you have been unable to convert anything, since the first four chapters of a correct conversion.

    So, let's try this:

If you want to convert via the ExportPDF site, please sign out, clear the browser cache, and then reconnect. If you use the drive, please choose Help > updates to ensure that you have installed the latest version.

Please let us know how it goes.

    Best,

  • The name of the free program to test the conversion from PDF to Word on Mac?

The name of the free program to test the conversion from PDF to Word on Mac?

    Hi ulfs29898036,

There is no free program to export the PDF file.

You will need Adobe PDF Export service https://cloud.acrobat.com/exportpdf to export the PDF file, which can be used with free Acrobat Reader DC help of Acrobat Reader | Help of Acrobat Reader DC.

Otherwise you can purchase/subscription application Acrobat DC Plans and price | Adobe Acrobat DC

  • Distiller will suddenly end/crash the * SECOND * time I open a file for conversion to PDF.

The subject says it all: Distiller will suddenly end/crash the * SECOND * time I open a file for conversion to PDF.

But I think I have an idea why this is happening. In general, I use Distiller to convert EPS or PS files as PDF files. In addition, almost without fault, I incorporate the required (only of Type 1) fonts directly in files EPS/PS (using the required format to PFA) so no local fonts on my computer are needed to be looked at to distill in to be embedded in the file PDF. they are already in the EPS/PS files.

But yesterday, I tried to convert EPS/PS files to PDF using Distiller in which I had NOT embedded fonts Type 1 (PFA format, of course) in the source of EPS/PS files. All first this conversion would work (in which I select "open" and choose an EPS/PS file for conversion), but after this initial conversion, the * SECOND * time I clicked "Open" the file, Distiller would immediately close/crash.

Then, I searched the web for answers and discovered that some people have trouble distilling to initialize if all their computer system fonts were read-only. So I went back to my EPS/PS files and embedded fonts Type 1 (PFA format) required in them and then - as if by magic - distill worked without a hitch: I could open and convert any number of them in succession, with distilling never close / crashing.

Then, I found the reason why distilling had been crashing at the second attempted to open a file (once again, simply by pressing the "open" button to find a file to convert, * no * after selecting a file) must have something to do with distilling scanning fonts installed on my computer, when there was no PFA font incorporated to make reference to , and a read only font on my system was the cause of the problem. However, I have looked in both places of logic where my fonts must be located (c:\psfonts and c:\windows\fonts), but found * no. attributes * files fonts defined in 'read only' so, I'm stumped.

I use Distiller Pro 10.1.1316 (acrodist.exe) on a machine to earn 8.1. I found similar positions, which dates back to 2004, about Distiller crashing immediately after opening when certain fonts are read-only; I haven't found a post about anyone successfully using Distiller to convert EPS or PS to PDF and then have the program crash when the "Open" button is pressed subsequently. The clues, anyone?

Background: Distiller Server is a product discontinued long - ago - use of Distiller server is now simply prohibited, and LiveCycle PDF Generator is available for servers.

Since you are not using Distiller Server and this forum is essentially abandoned, I recommend that you try the Acrobat - forum creation (etc.) instead.

  • Conversion from PDF to DOC in a special way...

Conversion from PDF to DOC in a special way...

I have a pdf form. I need to convert it to doc because I use Goldmine CRM to merge or insert fields in the doc.

The easiest way for me is if I can simply consider each page of the PDF as an image and convert the pdf file into a word document composed by images. Each page of the word document is an image.

Then I can use an overlay with transparent textbox to insert the fields at my convenience.

You know a method to do this with the results and a good resolution?

    Best regards

Export pages as images is possible via the file > save as menu in Acrobat, but I don't see why you want to do. Acrobat can save a PDF file as a Word document ordinary.

  • Conversion from pdf to htm

I have problems of conversion of pdf to htm files, the file created in word, and when I export to htm, it goes in all directions. lists do not come in a straight line, the images are not in the right places. Y at - it a trick that can help me with this?

I use acrobat adobe 9 on windows.

I also tried to convert pdf to htm designs - I need to make to the landscape, but when I do the htm files is a streched og view of landscape portrait if it makes no sense.

Can someone explain how to properly convert pdf files to htm?

File > export > HTML provides two choices.

The output is pretty basic and will require cleaning with a HTML editor.

What comes out of the PDF tends to reflect how the PDF content has been created.

It might be useful if a PDF source has been properly marked (discussion of the tagged PDF document is in article 14 of the standard ISO 32000 - 1).

Keep in mind that HTML does not have 'pages' SE (letter, tabloid, A4, etc.).

The browser may present a file HTML in various ways, but there is no 'page '.

  • Effects do not come in the conversion to PDF

I'm doing some tests with the catalog, I created and must be sure that everything is fine until I send to print.  I have a white background, which the opacity is set to 50%, and when I did the conversion to PDF, the background came to the course.  Is that all I need to know what is printing this document when the effect has been applied to the images?  I send a PDF over to the printer, that's what they prefer.

    Thank you...

Fill the frame with [paper], and then set the tansparency for filling at 50%, leaving the normal blending mode. :

  • HP 8610: problem printing of PDF files with iMac

I have a HP 8610 all-in-One powered by an iMac.

I have a problem with printing of PDF files.

When I print, the page moves approximately 1.5 inches down and doesnot print page as seen on the screen.

I checked with Apple and you s not a problem with the computer.  They say that there must be a parameter that must be corrected with the printer.

If you encounter the problem with PDF files and only on the Mac, the best solution may be to download and run a different PDF Viewer that allows you to open the file and print instead. Adobe, Foxit, and Nitro are a few free PDF viewers with Mac support.

Please let me know if you are able to print your PDF documents using one of these programs instead, or if you have any other questions. If not, have a great day!

    Hello

    Follow these steps:

    a. download and save the .pdf file.
    b. right click on the saved file.
    c. Select: open with on the shortcut menu.
    d. click: choose [default] program.
    e. Select: Adobe Reader (or the .pdf reader you use)
    f. check: always use the selected program to open this type of file.
    g. click OK.

  • When I try to open a PDF file with adobe Acrobat reader Windows Media Center automatically appears.

When I try to open a PDF file with adobe Acrobat reader, windows media center automatically opens. How to prevent this? I just want to open the PDF file with Acrobat reader.

The solution I think. If you right-click on one of the files and select open the file locations it now combined the file with adobe reader.

Yes - you simply need to change the associated file (and path) back to Adobe Reader.  (If that's your choice PDF reader.)

    If you did this:

Press the Windows Logo and R key at the same time to bring up the dialog box RUN.
Once you have the dialog box up, type in the following command and press OK...

    cmd /k ftype AcroExch.Document

That he return with? Should be something like:

    AcroExch.Document = "C:\Program files (x 86) \Adobe\Reader 10.0\Reader\AcroRd32.exe" '%1'

  • Bug (?) fonts, conversion to PDF

With the help of the latest InDesign CC on a desktop Win10. Very simple job: design, PDF to the client... make changes, PDF revised to the customer, etc. Something strange has happened in the last PDF file: example from the top of the page (below) is what it SHOULD look like... as he did in the first two or three exported a PDF file. But this last PDF seemed second sample... the 'P' in 'Political' and 'Washington DC' are bad fonts, size and/or color.

When I saw this, I went back to InDesign to see if I could understand what happened... not a single clue. Nothing that I could find that might have caused this. So I have just spruced up this subtitle of two lines, save and convert them to PDF once again... that fixed it.

So, a little frightens me! I don't know why it happened, but I did I have to find a way to avoid this, or I'm in deep Doo - Doo. Would be grateful for anyone's thoughts on this... Thank you!

PS: If you KNOW the solution to this, and it includes "reinstall Windows"... ehhh, no thanks!

    funky fonts.png

When the text past different characters or families of fonts in how it appears in the native document, how it appears in a pdf document, that may result from character mapping when creating pdf. And your PDF file has an anomaly of character mapping.

Bookman Oldstyle shows twice in the font with ANSI and CID encoding properties. Multiple encodings mean that there could be several versions of Bookman on system or from another source, such as a different Bookman used in a chart.

The CID encoding could be there is a used glyph which is not in the table of standard characters and requires a greater encoding CID.

What you can try: PDF export with no creation of subsets of fonts. Do the following in the PDF export window > advanced > subset fonts when percentage... Make that 0%.

You can also try printing a file postscript and distilling.

And, when you look at your PDF, the number "4" in the PDF file is incorrect as well.

  • PDF form with several auto pages copy text in fields on the following pages

I created a PDF form with multiple pages. I started with an Illustrator file, then exported to Acrobat to make it complete. For some reason any, however, when users enter text on the first page and try to continue on the other, the text on the first page only auto copies on the following pages. And if you delete what was on the second page (or third) to enter the correct data, which provides information on the first page.

I guess it must be something that twisted when I was creating the form, so I don't know if there is a way to fix without all over again.

    Thank you!

Give a unique name to each field. The fields with the same name are copies of each other and will automatically have the same value.

Presentation only works in Acrobat / Adobe Reader. It's a closed system. You cannot use the other PDF viewers as they are integrated into browsers.

  • Color variation when you import a PDF file with transparency masks

Hi, I have a CC PDF Illustrator with multiple pages and multiple spot colors defined by the user and on some pages of an element containing the mask transparency.

The problem with color deviation between the pages with and without the object that contains the tx masks as they are imported into InDesign.

Looking at the page in InDesign with the described object, color chart, imported from Illustrator no longer correspond to any PDF file.

Without the mask tx, correspond to the Illustrator PDF color chart color placed in the shade in InDesign.

    What is going on?

Unlike Illustrator, InDesign can support RGB and CMYK colors in the same document. If InDesign won't change the colors of your Illustrator object placed as long as there is no transparency on the spread.

When transparency is applied to the spread, all objects have to 'mix' by using the same color space. I think that this is necessary if the transparency must be flattened as it should be for many printers. InDesign uses the color set under Edition space > space of merger of transparency to determine the color space. By default, it is a print CMYK document.
