    I am running windows vista and cannot open a file .pub into e-mail. He tells me I need to create an association of game to designate a program to open it, but I don't know how.

    You need Microsoft Publisher to read a .pub file, but you can convert a PDF online here.

  • Using the search sometimes does not find the file extension (for example .pub) files

    I'll try to find some editor 'lost' 97 files on my system (looking for * .pub).  I tried searching and advanced without success, even when research fron "C:".

    I checked '.pub' files are included in the list of indexing.

    I created a '.pub' file and still get a result draw.

    I re-indexed all my files.

    Always get a result zero

    If I have a file ".doc" or ".wps" then it works OK

    Help!

    Hello

    Unfortunately, you will not be able to convert documents in a batch on your mobile phone. However, the same can be accomplished on the web (https://cloud.acrobat.com/convertpdf) or through the desktop application.

    Hello Pro V1,

    To help resolve this problem, use the tool (SFC.exe) System File Checker to determine which file is causing the problem and then replace the file. To do this, follow these steps:

    1. Open an elevated command prompt. To do this, click Start, click principally made programs, Accessories, right-click guest, and then click run as administrator. If you are prompted for an administrator password or a confirmation, type the password, or click allow.
    2. Type the following command and press ENTER: sfc/scannow (Yes there is a space after sfc) the sfc/scannow command analyzes all protected system files and replaces incorrect versions with appropriate Microsoft versions. This analysis may take some time to complete.

    Hope this helps you. Let us know anyway. Make it a great day!

  • How to apply the Conversion Table of file FM.

    I have a conversion table generated for a group of files that I am trying to structure. I want to be able to apply the conversion with Extendscript table. The script that I have does not save any file converted. I don't know why is it not save the file. I was under the impression that the "Structure Generator" should create the new file. If this incorrect.

    Here is the code I am using.

    var myFile = File.openDialog ("Select File to Convert");

    var myCT = File.openDialog ("Select ConversionTable");
    var CT = openFile (myCT.fsName, 0);

    applyConversionTable (myFile.fsName, CT)
    closeFile (CT);

    function applyConversionTable(fileName, CT){
        var doc= openFile (fileName, 0);
        var name = fileName.replace(/[\w\.]+$/,"test.fm")
        CallClient("Structure Generator", "InputDocId " + doc.id);
        CallClient("Structure Generator", "RuleDocId " + CT.id);
        CallClient("Structure Generator", "OutputDocName " + name);
        CallClient("Structure Generator", "GenerateDoc");

    }

        Constants.FF_CLOSE_MODIFIED = 1;
        var res = doc.Close(Constants.FF_CLOSE_MODIFIED);
    }

    Ah, found the problem. I noticed this earlier, but do not think that it was important, it apparently. The other arguments must be all uppercase. Like this:

        CallClient ("Generator of Structure", "INPUTDOCID" + doc.id);
        CallClient ("Structure Generator", "RULEDOCID" + CT.id);
        CallClient ("Generator of Structure", "OUTPUTDOCNAME" + name);
        CallClient ("Structure Generator", "StructureDoc");

    I tested it and it works for me. FWIW, I think that it is a poor quality of a client API feature otherwise very slippery.

  • Kindle is bad in the conversion of PDF files into MOBI files.  Adobe has a better way?

    I would like to read Adobe PDFs on my Kindle.  (The Kindle versions that use e - ink have the advantage that they can be read in full sun on my lawn).  Normally, to read a PDF file, I simply email it to your Kindle, with the object of "convert".   The problem is that with the scientific articles that have equations and illustrations, the results are often poor.  Moreover, even with regular PDF files, I can get titles that are somehow in the middle of a paragraph, or phrases that suddenly have a sentence fragment another among them.

    I do not own an Adobe product, (apart from the drive shipped free in the browser of Microsoft Edge), but there are perhaps better converters out there.  MOBI is very similar to HTML and so I could save a PDF file as HTML in certain adobe products, and then send the result by e-mail to my Kindle (with a subject line of convert), and maybe I would get better results.

    What is the best solution (apart from complaining to Amazon) on it?

    Thank you.

    In fact there is no need to convert a PDF file to a Kindle format. Apart from there being no methodology 'clean' for all Kindle devices can make the PDFs.

    Registered Kindle owner can send a PDF on Kindle (with no conversion) e-mail account free of charge.

    Or transfer the PDF file to the desktop or laptop computer via a USB cable.

    Done as well for the keyboard Kindle, the white paper, the fire of first-generation Tablet & the generation current Tablet of fire.

    For fire tablets install Adobe Reader Mobile to view the PDF files. More versatile than native PDF Viewer that comes with the Kindle and you gives access to free file management with Adobe Document Cloud - PDF Services.
