Convert to color profile change

Can someone help me with a problem affecting some AdobeRGB files when I convert it to SRGB? In a very small number of cases when I convert to profile (srgb IEC61966 - 2.1) there is a noticeable change in some vivid reds and Greens; they become much more dull and in some cases, the color actually changes. When this happens it is usually evident in clothes colored like Indian saris. I speak no limits in the srgb color space. After that I worked on Adobe Photoshop (CS6) files in the middle of wide range that I discovered their with my monitor (Dell U2713H) set to emulate the srgb color space, then make any adjustments to Hue/Saturation before converting in profile and save as JPG files with the profiles included for download on the web. In most cases the converted file is the same as the previously converted file, but sometimes there is this color change marked somewhere in the picture. For example, in one case, a turquoise shawl has become a dull blue; in another, a bright green band on a dress became a pale greenish yellow. In the first case when I checked the color data I found that all the Red had been emptied of the stole, making it impossible to do in any still tweaking with mixer or color balance tools to recover the original color. The change is visible in Photoshop, so it has nothing to do with my Viewer. As soon as I click on "convert to profile" is the color.

Is it possible to deal with this problem?

Example 1: a sample of a turquoise shawl in a JPG Adobe image has RGB values of 52, 173, 204. If I find the evidence with evidence of the display, option srgb standard Internet, these values do not change (even if the fact of appearance). But when I convert to profile in the Edit menu with defined standard srgb as the Red value destination space goes to 0, while green and blue values remain the same; If I drag the eyedropper across the value in red shawl is 0.

Example 2 is very similar: a green stripe on a dress.  Pre-conversion values 54, 157, 107. After the conversion, the Red value is 0.

In both cases, it's normal. Both these very saturated colors of cyanish are well outside of gamut sRGB and clips of the Red layer to 0.

The HDR image does not know of what was the profiles of the component images.

If you want a specific profile for your HDR image, set this profile as your workspace.

Also, the profiles are not closed so HDR - because overranged and negative values can be kept, there is no clipping.

  • 4.2 LR convert or embed color profiles?

Costco printing services use dry Creek Photo profiles.  They ask that the files be converted to color profiles in PS and say that the embedded profiles are ignored by their digital printers. I wonder if I can do this in LR4.2 without PS CS6.

4.2 Lightroom, we can choose color profiles in the print module or in the export dialog box.   Do you know if by specifying a color profile in these will result in a transformation or incorporation of these files?

A number of years, I have presented a few test images to Costco as a test.

Before images to Costco I have converted to the supplied printer generated by dry Creek Photo profile.  The prints were fine.  It is my understanding that at Costco they have just "send numbers" in the file to the printer and let the print heads to go to work.

  • Change the default color profile in the new Document Image?

I looked and looked and even google.  Someone knows how to change the color profile by default when you start a new image file?  In CS5 mine default sRGB (under Advanced menu drop-down) but my CS6 is ProPhoto RGB, which means I have to manually change almost every time I paste an image copied right click in a web browser.

The RGB value of work your default profile favorite Edit > color settings.

You can also activate profile-incompatibility warnings while you are in this dialog box.

  • Color profile question from lightroom to PSE 12.

After changing for Windows 10 I find that the color profile is deleted when opening a file from Lightroom 6 to 12 of PSE.  I also get an error message when you try to load a 12 for 8.5 RAW update.  The error reads U44M1I210.  If anyone can help with the problem.

Ok. What is the setting in Lightroom under preferences > external editing > color space? Here you have the choice between sRGB, Adobe RGB and ProPhoto. The default is ProPhoto, and unless you have changed, it is how it opens in the external editor (in your case, PES).

If you view while in an another viewer of photos without color management, color will be away (dark and desaturated).

Now, there may be color settings of the specific items that can strip or convert this profile, so I would still recommend that go. All I can do here is to take the floor for Lightroom and Photoshop.

  • How Lightroom handles images with a color profile in fact?

    Since the relevant help page:

Lightroom simplifies color management by displaying colors using the device independent color spaces. This means that all you need to do before working in Lightroom is to calibrate your monitor. Then, when you're in Lightroom, choose color or color profiles settings when you are ready to output your photos. (In Lightroom color management )

So. What actually happens? If a picture has, say, a Nikon sRGB profile not LightRoom it converted Adobe RGB (for the library module) and ProPhoto RGB for module progress? This seems to be the implication of the documentation, but it says nothing about a conversion.

Basically, my question is - it recognizes the supplied profile?

While SHIPS go as you seem to say that indeed there is no color profile. Lightroom is just reads the raw data and assigns the ProPhotoRGB profile? There is no conversion. Values in only digital pixels?

Right, there is no color profile. But something must be used to interpret the NAVE while converting from a raw file (just a bunch of values of levels of grey) typical, to become a recognizable RGB image. Read the digital pixel values is not enough without some sort of reference, and an ICC profile does not work on a raw file, so what happens is:

Lightroom processes the raw numbers thanks to Adobe by default camera profile for your Nikon camera model. A profile of the camera is not the same as an ICC profile. This camera profile determines the initial appearance and the colors of an image raw before other development parameters are changed, so if you don't like the default look, you can choose a different camera (if available) profile or create your own. You can change the profile of the camera in the tab Calibration of the camera at the bottom of the right side of the develop module. Adobe camera profiles produce a look that is close, but not exactly what you would get showing the NEF in Nikon software or the raw file JPEG preview.

After this initial conversion based on the camera profile, Lightroom will apply other settings default development module. In Lightroom, the result of this exists in the built-in color space Lightroom (ProPhoto RGB with curve of tone as sRGB) and then, finally, you see the end result through your (if all goes well to date) display the ICC profile.

Thus, how your look of naves in Lightroom before editing it is affected by camera Adobe profile + default develop settings.

  • Color profiles makes me mad :(

I try to understand what I'm doing wrong here. Hope you guys can help out me.

I bought an i1 Display Pro to calibrate my monitor (IPS). Everything went well and I am very happy with it. I've calibrated to D65.
I'm scanning my CD and I make pictures art album to go with them. I noticed that when you export (except for the Web) my images are darker than the way I see them in Photoshop. I use space sRGB color so then export on-site should be without having to convert this color space (although I have this checked) so I would say that the image should stay the same once it is exported.
Then I noticed that when I use the test colors in Photoshop (format test to monitor RGB) images appear darker in Photoshop, although I see them after having been exported. So I began using this parameter.

However, I was just on a photo and after that I exported it, red has suddenly become orange! I looked at the file previously exported again and when I turned off the test colors it is indeed a little orange. What I am doing wrong? The colors are correct? When I do not use the color setting of evidence that the photos are too dark previously exported. When I do not use the parameter the colors change.
I'm lost here. Any help would be appreciated.
See photo for the radical change in color. This is a screenshot of Photoshop.
Left window is the image with the colors of test enabled.
Photo on the right is a second window of the same file with test color disabled.

    Hello

its not really easy to see the problem there in your screenshots, but I think you are saying that the TWO files '(ed) export for the web' are you darker than the original (converted to sRGB) (i.e. both its opening in Firefox and Photoshop are darker looking in some regions)?

I'm pretty stuck here, but one thing comes to mind-

you have more than one profile sRGB installed on your system?

have you tried the 'export for the web' WITHOUT the option convert to sRGB, it would mean that sRGB that a version would be used, one that got integrated, you have converted my Adobe RGB image initially.

If you have a broken sRGB here somewhere?

    THX

    I hope this helps

If so, please mark my answer as 'useful' and the question as 'responded' so that others who have similar problems can see the solution

  • Generate the Active Image. Embed the color profile in the image property, etc.

    Hello!

01_ Is it possible to integrate the color profile, convert to sRGB, etc., in the assets of the image?

02_ I would like to change these Photoshop image settings in different ways that explain it here: image assets create layers in Photoshop. For example, I would that all the jpgs my document to be 100% quality and converted to sRGB. Regarding the PNGs, I would like that they all be 24. Etc. is it possible to do?

03_ where can I find a list of all the different assets? (All the different words I can add to the layers...)

    Thank you!

    Chris.

If this function is based on the new export module (which is likely), there is no way to embed an icc profile. Export simply has no way to make - yet. We were promised that this is a work in progress and new features will be added as they are ready.

This is as far as I know...

  • B & W image with color profile > true B & W?

I have a 10 MB B & W saved as RGB visual. It is 10 MB which is too big.

I changed it to grayscale, and it comes down to 3 MB. Still too big.

Otherwise, how can I change a picture n & B with RGB color profile in plain B & W? Or is the lowest, I get 3 MB?

OR how to do just that the smaller file? Change resolution from 300 to 72 but is remained to 3 MB.

    Thank you.

Nothing else then use the parameter use saving png files. To use the compression... Save for Web would automatically use the compression and the meta-data and change the DPI setting and let the number of pixels the same and also have an option to convert to sRGB which can be used.

  • Use of on Satellite U300 ICM color profiles

I've got U - 300 Satellite + Win XP. I use specially generated IMAGE color profile to my screen using Spider. I downloaded this addon rom Web sites allowing me to use the product. ICM file and it works.

However, I have to turn it on whenever my computer is restarted because graphics cards drivers not support color profiles and after each reboot, the colors are back, which are defined in the graphics drivers.

Is there a way to define this profile once and for all, so I don't have to go to the control panel whenever I turn on my machine? Thanks for help.

Personally I t have experience using these profiles of ice color, but I found this Microsoft page.
    http://www.Microsoft.com/windowsxp/using/digitalphotography/ProPhoto/ColorControl.mspx

    http://www.Microsoft.com/whdc/device/display/color/default.mspx

But perhaps entirely graphic driver doesn t support this profiles of ice and, therefore, you have always change it in the control panel.
Perhaps an update of the graphics card driver could help. But this is only a suggestion.

  • How to have different color profiles on screens cloned with color management

    Hello

I have calibrated two monitors (in fact, one is a standard monitor and the other is a projector that is connected to my computer) using the third-party program. I'm so done with ICC profiles two different, one for my monitor and the other for my image to the projector.

These two are connected to a card double head (Quadro 4000).

I am able to use my two different color ICC profiles with an extented of office using the color management settings in Win7 without problem. I can't disable them without problem also.

But I can't do it with a clone view (dual display). Even if I am able to select two different profiles for each of them in windows color management settings. Alone can apply for each of them. In fact, when I'm in an office clone, even when I tried to deactivate the profile of each color, nothing changed. Color management doesn't seem to update more as soon as I'm in a clone desktop mode.

Anyone know if there is a way to apply TWO different colors on monitors CLONED profiles? In my case, I can not use extended desktop and I really need to apply the calibration profile two different.

    Thank you very much!

  • What color profile is used when uploading to Flickr?

I use the Flickr Lightroom (Version 6.6.1.1083169) come with Lightroom plugin to transfer your photos to Flickr. All my photos are taken in RAW on a Nikon D750 format, converted to DNG on import. I never had any problem with my photos on Flickr, but I was wondering what color profile Lightroom applies to the pictures uploaded on Flickr? Is it possible to upload photos with a different color profile, say Adobe RGB on Flickr? If yes where can I specify it? (If I upload photos with profile Adobe RGB on Flickr, I understand that displays that can not handle the profile might make wrong.)

All things internet should use sRGB as sRGB color space is the internet standard.

  • Between cc and cs6 indesign color profile

    Hi all

I use indesign cc and cs6 in Windows 7 os based on the customer's requirement. When I change a color profile in indesign cs6 reflecting in indesign cc and vice versa. Is it possible to keep them unique?

The only solution is to have several documents, each embodying the color settings you want, but otherwise identical.
