I'm a little unclear on exactly which version of Mac OS X you are using or what you see in the Image Capture, but you may want to look for a button with a circle-slash () icon; It's recent releases how Capture of image mark the delete key. It will be active when one or more images have been selected. It is also a behavior whereas the keyboard delete key will not remove the images selected, and that the delete option under the Edit menu stay grayed out.   I'm sure I can't be alone in having improved my G1 810 turn Windows 8.1.  However it is therefore more useful tablet as the rotation of the screen does not work.  The auto spin button does nothing and after an HP engineer swapped botht huh card system and the button they said that the only option is to return to Windows 8 (original shipping OS).

  Really, this isn't a usable solution when you want the new features of Windows 8.1 update.
