• Missing originals after copying photos for a new mac external HARD disk library. How to fix this?

  Move the library of photos hosted on an external HARD during a new mac disc.

  When I try unilateral duplex since the automatic top loader, the second page missed about an inch of the original content from the top. (The first page also missed a bit, it is not a huge deal.) I think it happened because the feeding speed is slower that it is supposed to be. Y at - it all the parameters that I can check to fix?

  Alignment of the image doesn't do anything for the problem. However, I was able to fix by:

  -Select Copy settings Chaninging to pick up of exclusively from tray 2 instead of auto

  -Save the settings as a new default value

  I guess, the printer is paused a moment fast if the status bar selection is automatic.

• Photos - where are the originals?

  I just started to try to tame the Photos (not easy after the habit of iPhotos events).

  IPhoto migration was made some time ago, but I went to use iPhoto for a few months.

  So, in the last two days I exported the latest events in iPhoto to records as events and imported these photos. I spent 2 days to put in keywords and placements etc so I could find them ok.

  I then deleted the files (and emptied the Recycle Bin).

  Now, these photos are in the Photos, but when I try to do something with them I get a message "pictures impossible to find the originals.

  Then, where Photos put the photos when I import them? Are they not automatically imported in the photo library?

  I always iPhotos and so lost no photos, but I want to know that all my photos in the photo library. How can I do this?

  Pictures has two ways to import. It depends on the settings in

  "Photos > Preferences > general.

  If "import: copy items in the photo library ' is activated, the photos will be copied in the library.  If this option is disabled, then pictures will reference just the pictures from the original location.

  Select this option and then copy the photos you deleted to the event folders, that you deleted, and then restart Photos. Select one of the pictures with the missing originals and when you receive the error message that the photos are missing, choose the restored original. If you're lucky, the Photo can re-establish the connection α all missing photos.

  Once the originals have been reconnected, use the command "file > consolidate referenced...» ».  This will copy the photos referenced in the photo library, so they will be protected from accidental deletion.

• Is it possible to copy my original files with a backup hard drive with re-import them?

  I'm doing a copy of external backup everything on a hard drive, I can work from. I saved the backup catalog on a new hard drive and I can copy my originals to the new hard drive outside of lightroom, but I don't know how to get lightroom to be able to work the new copy.   Since then, we discussed backups... I think it's a mistake to use your backups of your photos and use your backup catalog files. In my opinion, when you perform a backup, you should leave here on intact and unused backup disk, for ever and ever, except in the case where your originals get destroyed or damaged somehow.

  So, if you really want to use your backups in the way you described - don't. Very bad idea. And if you go ahead and do it anyway, then Yes, you must re-bind the missing files every time you go.

  I have a question about behavior if PHOTOS during import.  I'm about to change my preferences and I want to know what to expect.

  1. my current photo library was created with NO use icloud photo library.  I'm going to leave it off.

  2. my current library had also 'Copy items in the library of Photos' taken out of SERVICE.  So the result was that I just got links in my library in the DROBO folder where the pictures actually lived.  I then invested a lot of time to faces everything works fine.   However, the Drobo is SLOOOWWWW and my hardware is changing so...

  3 I intend now to my library a new large SSD I'm about to install.  I would really now to copy every 100 GB or so images in my library to enjoy the speed and get a free backup copy in the process.  However, I really want to have to do all that FACES tuning again.

  So, now the question.  If I go to PHOTOS prefs and turn on the "copy items to the box library", this will apply to the new photos imported or it will go to seek out those for whom a link only currently.  I guess it won't, but I hope.  If I reimport them once again, I'm afraid I'll get the pics in double... one for the link that is there now and another for the import copy.

  If I have to, I'll start all over again, but here, I hope it is an easier way!  Suggestions, anyone?

  Turn on the "copy items to the Library check box' apply only for new photos that you import.

  Copy the old originals in your select Photo library in Photos and use the command "file > consolidate."

  Who will copy the originals in your photo library and transform the photos selected in managed photos.  All changes and faces tags will continue to work. And the original files will be stored safely in your library.

  To quickly select all the photos that have to consolidate use smart albums.

  Create a smart albums with "file > new smart album ' and set the constraint of the album 'Photo is referenced. This smart album will display all photos with original image files referenced.

• Photos about El Capitan with iCloud library active lose local photos?

  Recently, I wanted to use iCloud library to have a backup of my personal memories cloud. I had my library set up in the Photos of El Capitan and allowed iCloud photo library. It is still downloading but I have known a few disruptive effects.

  Then, suddenly, I realize that a few pictures and movies have an exclamation point. Clicking on it it tells me that the photo was not able to find the original file, or sometimes he says he wasn't able to download the original to iCloud and I should try again later.

  The thing is: I'm on the Mac, where is the main library of Photos. Must download from here. He is the master copy. Why pictures removed some local files in the first place and try to upload them to iCloud again when he should just have this file on the local hard drive? This happened to someone?

  1 - iCloud iPhoto Library s not a backup - it is a method of sharing to ensure that libraries on multiple devices are the same - all changes made on any device are made on all

  2 - doe photos not "remove" anything - users - if something is missing it's because of the action of the user

  3 - Although what you see does not sound as if it was your problem before you start making changes allow the process to complete stabilize - during the downloading process things can be wobbly

  6 - did you do any cleaning system or run software cleaning as MacKeeper or CleanMyMac (Hint - NOT - they are not necessary and can spoil things wrong)

  You should back up your photo library - the library will be included in your Time Machine backup of your Mac and save your changes, metadata, albums, projects.

  And you need a backup of the original files, which are only in iCloud, if you use the option "Optimize Mac Storage".

  To create a backup of your original as they are now in iCloud service the command "file > export > export non-original.  Use a preset of subfolder name to structure the folder with the exported originals.

  This first backup will take a long time.  Later, you just copy the originals of any new photos that you import into your library, because the originals will not change the export. Just do a backup once when you first import.

There should be a few records in this area called House, Hip Hop, etc. Rather than attempt to index the myself, I just created a new folder called iOS and put all the files of the CAF that I extracted from the iOS version. Then I placed in the same directory where the others are located in logic on my Mac. I started to GB and low and behold, it worked! I got all the sounds that was missing. The only message I got that FX extension was missing. I found the FX extension also in iOS extracted folder. The problem is that I don't know where to put it again. I will figure out however.

  I really do not understand why Apple would come on such great point, give us the possibility of import to Mac, but not give us new sound files on State end sort of weird. Apple is really cool, but someone left dropped the ball on this one...

  Oh! I forgot to mention, once you check out this iOS GB file, you must go to > Payload > MobileGarageband > right click > view the contents of the package. There's all the goodies! Enjoy!

  I have download all purchases of the app store on my mac anyway, so GarageBand 2.1 was already in my iTunes with the mobile applications folder:

  ~/Music//iTunes/iTunes music/Mobile Applications / GarageBand 2.1.

  I had to search for GarageBand 2.1.ipa, not GarageBand.ipa.

  Inside the GarageBand application bundle is the path to the loop:

  iPhoto 9.6.1 is compatible with MacOS X Yosemite.  You could continue to use iPhoto, if you have not installed the most recent version.

  The photo library original references in the iPhoto rather than the photo library library.

  The library of uploaded Photos can still be linked to the original iPhoto Library, if you used applications of cleaning that has replaced some originals of links to the versions edited to save storage.  Did you turn all remove duplicate on your iPhoto library? iPhoto Diet, ClleanMy Mac or similar?

  This is what happens when you "synchronize". You say WMP, you want to make your Player library identical to what is on your computer, not the other way around. If you delete a file on your drive, next time that you connect to yor computer, it re-copy missing this file back again once. It's the way it is supposed to work.

  Similarly, if you decide to delete files on your computer, say to free up hard disk space because you already have these same files on your player when you connect WMP will remove the files from your drive because they are no longer on the hard drive of your computer.

  That is why #1 I think sync stinks. I'd rather manage my own music library, thank you very much. I don't have a faulty piece of software second-guessiing what he thinks I want.

  4. I also gave all permissions to the USERS and ADMINISTRATORS (see tutorial here How to change file permissions on Windows 7 (with pics) )

  5. I copied missing files (packages, deployment, resources) and set - up.exe from another folder to install Adobe program (such as Photoshop) in the folder of FUSE.
  Therefore, my FUSE file had the following structure:

  Deployment folder

  File Packages

  Payloads folder

  Resources folder

  file set - up.exe

  6. I created an Adobe fuse CC in C:\ProgramFiles\Adobe folder

  7. I took possession of the entire folder C:\ProgramFiles\Adobe (just to make sure)... actually, I have stage 3 and 4 on the entire Adobe folder.
  8 - I then installed fuse by launching the file set - up.exe in FUSE file... and when the installation was asked where to install the program, I selected the Adobe fuse CC folder created in step 6.

  And it worked...

I downloaded Adobe DNG Converter 7.4.0.137 and managed to convert a little over 1,000 RAW D7100 files. Tonight I inserted the card of the day with a little more than 500 images on this and the converter converted DNG 185 of them without any problem.   If your destination for converted DNG files folder is also on the camera card where the originals are, the card can be full and will not accept more images. Make the destination hard drive. Or copy the originals on the hard disk before you run the conversion.

• Installation of 32-bit cc InDesign error

  I tried to install Adobe Creative Cloud - Indesign CC 32-bit on a 64-bit Windows computer. However, I get the below error:

  I tried the following:

  -Remove all the version of Microsoft Visual C++ and resettlement.

  -Tested on 5 different machines (and a non-commercial machine.

  -Installed on a clean OS build without Adobe products.

  -Reconditioned Indesign CC 32 bit (tested version archive CC), same problem.

  -Tried to copy missing packages in the installation folder under the convention of naming below.

  -restart the computer after you disable all non-Windows services and startup programs.

  Other packages install fine, but we do need indesign 32 bit in the production environment.

  Any help would be great. Thank you
