To be honest, I can't believe that
The technicians don't need serial numbers to find the right and compatible part.
You said your laptop Satellite L40-139.
Generally, it should be enough to get the right part

As far as I know as the Satellite L40-139 belongs to the PSL40E series.
Then all Satellite L40 PSL40E must use the same cable.

I guess you need the touchpad button and cable H000006020
    I found one on ebay.

However, I think that the Toshiba ASP in your country should be able to provide a straight part just have the model L40-139 PSL40E number

  • Reflections on non - Apple USB Lightning/cable

I am thrifty. Nineteen dollars for a lightning/USB cable is a lot of flat on money. But I read that the non-Apple cables can damage my device. Your thoughts? If you are using a non-Apple cable, can you recommend the most reputable? Thank you very much.

Do not use a non Apple cable or a cable that is not certified by Apple. It will not work, or if it works initially, it will ultimately be not. It is logical integrated in the firmware that will detect a non Apple cable and prevents it from working. The reason for this is that the market good cables peut causes problems with your device, in addition to being a potential fire risk, a risk of shock, etc..

    Frugality will pay not here.

  • Confused about cable to restore ATV4

My 4 does not work all of a sudden.  Just get a message on my TV to go to a link to Apple support on the restoration.  I read the instructions to restore through iTunes.  Now I'm lost.  It seems to say the cable supplied with the unit - lightning-USB cable - should not be used to restore.  I have to use another cable that does not come with. I get this right?  I have to go to Best Buy or somewhere and buy another cable.  A cable USB - C?  USB - C for... which is on the other end.   Appreciate any help.

Some recent MacBooks have only the USB - C Sockets. This note is for the models. Your iMac should have a regular USB plug, so you can use the cable supplied with the unit.

  • Satellite A500 - new LCD cable

    Hello

My Satellite A500-13f laptop got his damaged cable lcd and now I need a new.

When I went to tech support, they said they found itself without a reference number on this issue, and they need the number of the room as well as the model number to make me a new cable of the LCD.

apparently even model laptops are sometimes with different lcd screens and so different video cables

    My laptop is the exact same in this [page | http://eu.computers.toshiba-europe.com/innovation/jsp/SUPPORTSECTION/discontinuedProductPage.do?DISC_MODEL=0&ACTION=PRI NT_WITH_BACK & service = EU & PRODUCT_ID = 1070219]

To be honest I don't understand the problem. Toshiba service can identify the right display and the cable for your laptop model. They can find this info in the Toshiba database so I put t understand why you need to find the part number for the service.

  • How "tipping fees" works for the service paid by COD?

I try to order a lightning cable using my AppleCare + alternative coverage, but I'm curious to know how "tipping fees" operation since I would like to pay with COD. The site says that there are "additional leave" ¥ 1944, i.e. "fees of no return" ¥ 1800 and tax.

I was thinking about two possible ways to grant additional leave.

    1. Mail collect "additional leave" as a deposit, and then once Apple receives the damaged cable, Apple pays the "additional leave" by mail
    2. Mail gives me just the cable and if Apple does not receive the damaged cable, then Apple send me a bill for the costs of no return by post

Apple web site is very vague on this issue, so thanks for your help!

    < published by host >

    Hello

Apple recommends to use only genuine Apple Lightning USB cables or third party that Apple has certified under the program of the IFM.

You are using counterfeit or non-certified third-party cables may cause problems including:

    • Your iPhone can not load correctly.
    • Your iPhone can not synchronize correctly.
    • Your iPhone could be damaged.
    • The cable can be more easily damaged.

Authentic Apple Lightning to USB cables have some passages and a serial number printed on them.

Certified cables come with the logo ' Made for iPod/iPhone/iPad "on their packaging.

Apple also recommends using genuine Apple's USB adapters.

Also note that the Apple warranty does not cover damage caused by the use of your iPhone with a third-party product that does not meet the specifications of Apple.

I intend to buy the new iPhone. I was wondering, how would be possible to listen to music and charge your phone at the same time with the lightning only cable jack on the new iPhone 7 and 7 more?

Unfortunately, there is no convenient way to load and play music at the same time.

You should probably use wireless headphones. This is what Apple wants you to do.

Another option is annoying this thing with iPhone dock.

I recently bought a Mac Pro (end 2013) to a friend.  I am now running Windows via Bootcamp 10 and buy two of these Dell Ultrasharps U2515H

    These are non-thunderbolt screens and are 2560 x 1440

Could someone please advise me on which are the best video connections/ports to connect these are?

    Thank you

    Ports and interfaces
    Integrated USB hub Yes
Version of USB hub USB 3.0 (3.1 Gen 1)
USB ports downstream Type amount has 5
    DVI port NO.
    HDMI ports quantity 2
    DisplayPorts quantity 1
    Mini DisplayPorts quantity 1
    Audio output Yes
    AC (power) in Yes

If you need two cables, Mini DisplayPort / Mini DisplayPort (or [size] DisplayPort / Mini DisplayPort if these are cheaper).

Which will cause the load down your hardware and you get the best resolution with less noise.

You plug the ThunderBolt Mini DisplayPort end ports and they pick up the video subset that they need, a bolt of lightning regular cable is much more expensive and will not work.
