Copy the file of the vco to prompt linux with permissions

Hello I'm trying to move a Perl file to a Red Hat Linux virtual machine, then run it later by using the file copy of VCO to comments and then run program in comments workflows. The problem I have is that, after the file is on the client, the file does not have the appropriate permissions to run. I tried to put the file on vco before moving, and he did not move with the file permissions. Any of you know how to move the file with permissions?

Thank you

You have a few options, I think:

  1. Set execution permission after the file has been moved to the target system, and then run it
  2. Instead of trying to run/path/script.pl, tell perl to call it: perl /path/script.pl

In both cases above, you should be able to run the script.

    Hi, Leon,

Always include computer make and model, please.  Thank you.

Research in the Bios (reboot and press F1 or F2 depending on your system, check that all usb options are enabled (for example, USB legacy or support for USB 2.0 devices).)

If there is a timeout parameter, set it to Max.

Then, find the boot device priority section

A USB flash drive, which is usually listed as USB - HDD, but may be listed as a removable device, will have a priority very low start.

Rearrange the boot device priority so that the flash drive has a higher priority than the hard drive.

Install Windows XP from USB key

    • Insert the USB key into the USB port on the computer.

    • Open the "I386" folder and find the file "Winnt.exe".

Double-click on the "Winnt.exe" to launch a command prompt BACK to an installation of Windows XP.

Type the path of the location of your "I386" folder in the DOS window. For example, if your USB is the letter "D" in your "My Computer" window, type "d:\i386" without the quotes and press the Enter"" key.

Let the installation program copy the Windows XP installation files on your computer.

Restart your computer to a command prompt. The Windows XP Setup will continue automatically.

Follow the on-screen instructions to complete the installation. The program will ask you your Windows XP product key in this process.

Also, I tried to import the file to another drive, but it does not copy the keyword tags.  Is there a way to do this?

    Thank you

There is absolutely no problem with a lot of files. I think that most people are this way.

To merge a catalog in another, open a catalog and then-> import from catalog and Lightroom point files to your catalog on the other.

  • Copy several files to the command prompt

I want to create a batch file copy several files that I specified a directory and use a command once. but when I tried to 'copy file1 + file2 + file3 destDir', it copies only the first file. I do not copy all of the files or the files whose names share a model. If the wildcard characters * and? does not apply here. What should I do to copy several files?

You probably want to use a command like this:
    for /f %i in (list.txt) can I copy/b %i destDir
Where "list.txt" is a file that contains a list of the files that you want to copy and 'destDir' is the directory you want to copy.  If you put this line in a '.bat' file, you may need to replace each character "%" to "%".

Or, if it's a short list of files, you could do something like:
    for %i in (file1, file2, File3) can I copy/b %i destDir

    Hi Belj,

Thank you for visiting the Forums HP's Support and welcome. I read your thread on your HP Pavilion g6-1305sa Notebook and not able to restore Windows. If the HARD drive is faulty, this can cause the restoration should not go well. You can try to run a test of material. Please note remove any and all USB devices and remove the memory card in the slot of the card reader. Disconnect all non-essential devices. What is the original HARD drive? Have you replaced all other parts? Have you tried to do a clean install of Windows 7. Try running sfc/scannow would scan your system to find errors on the command line. You can get to the command prompt by clicking F11 at startup. You can see this Microsoft document on the system recovery options.

    Hope this will help.

    Thank you.

  • Print file stuck in the coil, the message "unable to copy the name of the file: it is used by another person or program".

Recently, I tried to capture a job by a break of a print queue, print work and copy the files from the spool (under C:\WINDOWS\system32\spool\PRINTERS) before unpausing the queue. However, when I try to copy the files, I get the error message "unable to copy the name of the file: it is used by another person or program". I tried several times with the same result. The only way to get the file off the ground is obviously t reactivate the print queue and they will quickly deteleted shortly after. Is there a way I can recover these files? Assume the change the port in 'File' to make a copy of file is on the table. I ran this in the title of administrator user rights.

The file you are trying to "capture" you will do some good.  However, if you want to watch or copy it, first stop the print spooler.  Open the Services applet (start > run > services.msc > OK).  Scroll down to "Print spooler" and click "Stop".  Don't forget to restart the print spooler after you copy the file or you will not be able to print.

If you want to print to a file rather than on paper, there are at least three ways to do it (not counting "Print to a file").

Using the "Print to file" box will produce a *.prn file.  It contains commands specific to the printer; It cannot be opened by the usual word processor applications; It can be used to print to the printer selected in the print dialog box or printer that uses the same commands to the printer.  For example, you have a printer installed on 1 computer but you have physically moved the printer to computer 2, where it is now installed.  You can check the "Print to file" on the computer 1, save the file to a flash drive *.prn, carry it to computer 2 and then print it out by copying the file to the printer (in a command prompt window).

    1. the best way, IMO, is to print to a PDF using free CutePDF Writer.

    2. you can create a "generic, only the text" printer and select this option when you print.  This produces a *.txt file.  To install the generic/text printer only, follow these steps:

    1. Click the Start button, point to settings, and then click Printers.
    2. Double-click the add printer icon.
    3. Click the next button.
    4. When you are prompted "How is this printer attached to your computer? Click the local printer option button, and then click Next.
    5. In the manufacturers box, click Generic. In the Printers box, click generic/text only, and then click Next.
    6. In the available Ports box, click FILE, and then click Next.
    7. When you are prompted "do you want that your Windows-based programs to use this printer as the default printer?" click the no option button, and then click Next.
    8. When you are guests "would you like to print a test page?" click the no option button, and then click the Finish button.

    3. use the Microsoft XPS Document Writer, which may already be installed on your computer.  "XPS" was Microsoft's attempt to compete with Adobe PDF.  He did not.  Unfortunately, the only way to view a document produced by the XPS Document Writer is using the Microsoft XPS Viewer.

  • Copy the files from the flash drive on the hard drive but I don't want to copy the files I already have.

I have Windows XP.  I have a flash drive with many files that I have on my second hard drive.  I just it copies the files that I have on the hard drive and I don't want to have to sit and answer 'yes' or 'no' question about the replacement of files each time that it recognizes a file duplicate. How do I do that?

When you see this double prompt or not, are there not a checkbox that says something like "Always do this for all files" or something in that sense?

You can manually copy the files. Here is the CTRL key while you click the files you want and then just drag them to the location on the HARD drive.

    Hi rebick,.

    Welcome to Microsoft Answers Forums.

We would like to get more information about you to help solve your problem. You better, please answer the following questions.

    • When was the last time it worked?
    • Remember to make changes to the computer recently?

First of all, I would say that you unplug any external drive connected to the computer except the keyboard and mouse.

This error message can occur if there is some system files corrupted on your computer. Suggest to run a SFC scan, which would be a search for system files corrupted on the computer and replace them.

    Scan SFC enforcement procedure:

    1. click on the Start button

    2. on the Start Menu, click all programs followed by accessories

    3. in the menu accessories, right-click on command line option

    4. in the drop-down menu that appears, click the "Run as Administrator" option

5 If you have the enabled User Account Control (UAC) you will be asked to consent to the opening of the command line. You simply press the button continue if you are the administrator or insert password etc.

    6. in the command prompt window, type: sfc/scannow then press enter

    7. a message is displayed to indicate that "the analysis of the system will start.

    8. be patient because the analysis may take some time

    9. If all the files need replace SFC will replace them. You may be asked to insert your Vista DVD for this process to continue

    10. If all goes although you should, after the analysis, see the following message "Windows resource protection not found any breach of integrity.

11 after the scan finished, close the command prompt window reboot the computer and check.

The analysis may take some time, so be patient. Windows allows to fix corrupt or missing files it finds. If the information of the installation CD is required to fix the problem, you may be asked to insert your Windows Vista.

If the step above does not resolve the issue, I would say that you create a new user on the computer account.

Log on to the new user account and check if you can create a system restore point.

    1. Open user accounts by clicking the Start button, clicking Control Panel, clicking user accounts and family safety, then clicking on user accounts.
    2. Click on manage another account. If you are prompted for an administrator password or a confirmation, type the password or provide confirmation.
    3. Click on create a new account.
    4. Type the name you want to assign to the user account, click an account type, and then click on create an account.

  • When you try to copy a file 'trust' in Vista, get the message 'Copy as administrator'

I have a computer with Windows Vista Home Premium (32 bit), in which I am an administrator on the computer. I have a file that is "safe" and requires administrator permission to open. Since I am an administrator, I was able to open the file. But when I tried to cut or copy the file, a message appears that I need administrator permissions to open it! Similarly, some programs that create other files (images, for example) must be open as follows so that you can actually save a picture: right click > run as administrator . If you do not open the program in this way, access is denied when you try to save a picture. But back to my account. Like programs, is it possible that I can 'copy as administrator' or 'cut as administrator'?

I discovered how to copy and paste files using a single command line. Unfortunately, you can't copy the files, not folders. Here's how to copy a file:

    1. Open command prompt
    2. type "copy" without the "sign, while simple letters
    3. press the SPACEBAR once
4 type the location of the file you want to copy (for example: C:\Users\default_user\file.txt)
    5. press the space bar once more
    6. type in the destination that you want to copy the file (for example: Folder\destination C:\New folder)
    7. press enter and your file should be copied.

I keep asking myself for permission to copy the files, etc.  How can I turn this off?

    Hi Kasggr,

You are be prompted for approval because of her User Account Control (UAC) and it is not wise to turn off UAC.

User Account Control (UAC) is a feature in Windows that can help prevent your computer from unauthorized changes. This UAC asking your permission or an administrator password before performing actions that may affect the operation of your computer, or that change settings that affect other users

By verifying these actions until they start, UAC can help prevent malicious software (malware) and spyware from installing or making changes to your computer without permission.

  • The behavior of copy (.png files) screen when using TextEdit and printing

I have long used the method to copy and paste texts and/or pictures to TextEdit and print files .rtf or .rtfd below:

I use the command-control-shift-4 and the cursor to select things and paste into TextEdit.

That stopped working in the Sierra.  I tried several methods (PDF format conversion, fall in Pages and Numbers, for example), but nothing worked: the Canon PIXMA MX922 printed on a white sheet and left the box of small characters with text "filter impossible."

There is no new printer driver on the Canon site; However, there is a new driver IJ Scan Utility and I downloaded it already after that installation of Sierra and the scanner works fine, as also directly print something (e.g. on the Web).

Now, after several days of testing and I was wondering, I tried this yesterday:

Instead of the above command, I used (which I do when I want to save it to the desktop) command + shift + 4.  I copied the file .png from office, dropped in the TextEdit, printed, and... IT WORKED.

Copy and leaving fall directly in the TextEdit and printing, is so not working, but let fall the same screenshot on the desktop and copy and paste into TextEdit and it print shops.

I noticed several other annoying problems to Sierra, some I've reported here (communities), some didn't.  Business-as-usual: first version of an upgrade is full of bugs, which 'disappear' in future versions, until a new update is made available, the loop continues, continues, and...

    He works here.

  • I copied the old file of passwords in the new profile, but do not see.

Got a new laptop. Copied the content from the old profile to new profile. Most of the old information are there (bookmarks), but I do not see the passwords. I repeated copying the two files key3db and logins.json specifically, but even the passwords saved on my old profile are not there...

Could you try again in a new profile and copy only the files logins.json and key3db?

Create a new profile as a test to see if your profile is the source of the problem.

    See "create a profile":

If the new profile works then you can transfer files from a profile already used in the new profile, but be careful not to copy files corrupted to avoid transporting more problems.

  • I can't download to work - it does not copy the mp3 files to my location (as defined in tools/options) - it gives me a new window with a player - no dwnlo

I am running windows xp sp2 and I put my site to dowload under (Tools/options), but when I select an MP3 file to download, firefox does NOT copy the file to my location of choice on my HD - instead, it opens a new window with a 'player' of fortune and starts to load the player with the MP3 file. The problem is that I have no idea where on my system, firefox has copied this file, so, I can't leave and come back later and read this MP3 file using winamp. I need to hear right then or lose - if I close this new window (with this puny little ' player'), then I lose the download, there where to put firefox on my PC (I have no idea where it is). It's all under firefox 25.0

I also use FIrefox 12.0 on an older windows 2000 machine and that works perfectly - I can download any MP3 file, I want to, and downloads of firefox 12.0 (on win2k, sp4) to my location (on my HD), and it gives me the download window so I can watch its progress and have some control over break and resume , and, when it's done, the download window offers me the option 'open containing folder' so I can make sure that where I wanted. In other words, Firefox 12.0 on WIn2k, sp4 works better than firefox on winxp sp2 25.0! What gives? I went through and set up my options for XP just like I did with Win2k and everything looks good, but firefox 25.0 don't know just my chosen and always default place to give me fortune player and I am not able to actually copy the mp3 files on my hard drive - it's firerox almost unusable 25.0 since downloading mp3 files is a big part of my use firexfox - please help. I am not able to upgrade windows at this time, and since firefox 12.0 still works fine on win2k, I do not understand what has happened to firefox?

Hello littleberry, you can click on the link that leads to an mp3 file or right click on the drive in firefox and choose to download the file like that...
