Copy the titles in the new session and preserve the placement/time clip

I have several sessions of dialogue that I need to combine into one. When I copy and paste in the new session the second piece and so forth slide up to 0. How can I avoid this and do everything to stay in his place?

Session of orig

After pasting audio track 2 and 3 new session slipped up to 0

I thought about it. I selected all the titles (Ctrl A) one click right selected "locked in time" and then paste to 0 on the new session.

  • Copy the old Time Machine files to the new disk TM

Sorry people, I have to ask two (related) questions:

    (1) I have a WD My Passport for Mac drive connected to an Airport Extreme and 2 Macs use for backup via Time Machine. Now, the disk is full. I bought a WD My Book for Mac drive with a capacity of 4 TB and am ready to go.

Question: can I copy the old files of Time Machine on my new book?

    (2) until now 2 different Macs used the My Passport as a Time Machine drive with no problems.

Question: Should I partition the new drive (My Book) and every Mac uses its own partition as Time Machine or can proceed us as is?

Thank you very much for your help!

Question: can I copy the old files of Time Machine on my new book?

Yes you can, but there is a lot of work, a little complicated, time consuming and not worth the effort for most users.  The main reasons for this are...

    (1) the older backups will take a good amount of space on the new drive, limiting the space on the disk again.

    (2) Time Machine backups for the old files will continue... it will make a new copy of every Mac and then go forward again with incremental backups.

A better plan would be to keep the old drive on hand for a few months, in which case you need to go back and look for a file. After a few months, you will have a beautiful story from backup to the new hard drive and no need of older backups so you can remove the old disk and keep around as a spare part or use it for other purposes.

Question: Should I partition the new drive (My Book) and every Mac uses its own partition as Time Machine or can proceed us as is?

While you can partition the drive and save each Mac to a separate partition if you wish, there is really no need to do this since Time Machine will automatically create separate for each Mac backup files.

  • How to record a session .and there continue another time

When I work on a particular subject, after a while, I want to interrupt my work in another time, so I need can continue from the previous session.

You can use the Session Manager addon to save multiple sessions and restore them later.

There's no other solution (maybe except a few other addon). Firefox itself does not support storage of multiple sessions.

  • Why my vector illustrator svg file to pixel grafic, when I copy the place/ore in Muse?

    That's how I save it.

And that's what it looks like when I copy ore spot in muse.

    sdfqwef.PNG

In Muse, you see the so-called "backup image", that appears in browsers that do not support svg. Just get an overview of the page in the browser, and you will see that everything is ok.

  • We had to get a new computer and I want to copy bookmarks. Where were they stored?

Our old computer, desktop with Windows XP, wouldn't start, so we bought a new one (Windows 7). Extraction of data from the hard drive of the old computer.

Is it possible that I can get the Firefox bookmarks? All information I found had to do with bookmarks to find a computer that is running now.

    Thank you.
    Leah

On Windows XP, your Firefox data was stored in this path:

    C:\Documents and Settings\username\Application Data\Mozilla\Firefox\Profiles

Because the Application Data is a hidden folder, to walk this path, you generally need to change a setting in Windows to display the hidden files and folders. This article explains how to do on Windows 7: http://windows.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/show-hidden-files

Once you get off in your Firefox data, you will find one or more profile semi-randomly-named folders. If there is more than one, find the most recent.

At this point, you have two options:

    • Copy the places.sqlite database that stores the bookmarks and history of your old profile folder to the new
    • Restore a backup of the folder bookmarkbackups file in your old profile and forget history

  • How do disable you a restore session each time that you enter in a new session?

I enter a new session and it restores my last session after closing. I tried all the beasts on: config suggested other issues stuff and it didn't work. I have a homepage set. I have the good session restore attributes, set to false. I don't know what else to do. It is a 'feature' annoying! Why did do this?

You can check if you have a user.js file in the Firefox profile folder that affects the pref browser.sessionstore.resume_session_once true value.

The user.js file is read whenever Firefox is started and initializes the preferences to the specified value in this file, so the preferences set via user.js can be changed temporarily for the current session.

You can remove the user.js file if you do not create this file yourself.

You can use this button to go to the Firefox profile folder currently in use:

Windows hides certain default file extensions.
Among them .html and .txt, so you can see only a file name without .ini and .js file extension.
You can see the type of actual file (file extension) in the properties of the file via the context menu in Windows Explorer.

    ===============================================
Photos will be AutoSort first alphabetically then digitally.

To maintain a certain order during the copy in a new folder or
for a CD... try renaming the files when they are in the order
    you prefer as follows:

Organize files the way you want and go to... Edition / select all.

Right-click the photo 'first' the selected (highlighted)
Group and from the menu choose... Name change.

For the first name... Enter a descriptive word for the group,
a space, and the first number

    Summer vacation (10001) .jpg

(Yes... Use parentheses and start the number with a 1)
(If you want to add a descriptive title to batch... Leave a
space after the last letter and before the first parenthesis)

Press on... Enter and Windows renames the remaining photos...

  • I need to disable a copy of my Lightroom 6.1.1 and reactivate the new laptop.

I need to disable a copy of my Lightroom 6.1.1 and reactivate the new laptop. There is no 'activate' or the button 'disable' to the title assistance at registration (contrary to what is stated in the forums).

The help section on the Adobe Web site made no reference to disabling Lightroom specifically, and the advice given for other products do not seem to apply.

Can anyone help with a specific procedure to disable the product?

Lightroom allows two facilities under a license. All what you need to do is uninstall Lightroom 6 and then install it on the new.

  • Copy a single file to the new folder and remain in multiple versions

Hello. I am looking for assistance in the next issue. I have a script that helps me to look for a file name and rename it and I have a script that looks like a file and moves it to a new folder. I need one that will combine the two aspects in one based on the example as follows:

I have a picture but need to rename the same file in several versions. (i.e. original image name 7HABLH.jpg to be copied to a new location and renamed with several different names 6HABLH_01.jpg, 6HABLH_02.jpg, 6HABLH_03.jpg, etc...). This produces even a lot of pictures and are all contained in a CSV file that is configured as below

My end result would be the image in the folder/column 'OldImageName' is copied into a new folder and renamed the folder/column "NewImageName." Hope my request is logical that I am a poster the first time also trying to learn the script but I don't have a lot of time to achieve and could use as much help as possible.

Hope that someone out there may be able to help.

  • Copy the new Gmail message to a local folder in Thunderbird-, and mark it as read ONLY on the Gmail server

    Hi forum,

for a long time, I tried to set up a filter which copies new messages in the Gmail inbox to a folder in local mail in Thunderbird, and defines in addition/unread state correctly on both ends.

However, no matter what I try, it doesn't work.

There seems to be no way to set the playback on the IMAP server to 'read' State after the copy action and at the same time keep the "unread" status for mails that have been copied to the local folder in Thunderbird.

It does not work even if I created an intermediate folder on the IMAP server where mail is first moved to and only then is copied to the local Thunderbird folder later.

I also tried all sorts of combinations with the 'move later' and other actions to FiltaQuilla.

I'm really at a loss. I'm the only one who wants to copy the message from Gmail to a local Thunderbird folder and get the status of unread / read appropriate on the server, as well as in Thunderbird?

    Bunch help, thank you

    Bravo David.P

Why is that every time I ask about any TB support forum, I find myself explaining things instead of getting an answer?

I need to mail to stay on the server, even if I delete it locally. What part of this is not understandable?

In any case, don't bother. I fixed it myself at the same time by putting in place the new Gmail account in Thunderbird.

This problem may be caused by an extension that is not working properly.

Start Firefox in Firefox to solve the issues in Safe Mode to check if one of the extensions of the origin of the problem (switch to the DEFAULT theme: Firefox (Tools) > Add-ons > appearance/themes).

  • I got a new computer (an old dies) new a windows vista and I have to disable the old computer before I load the same copy of Vista on my new computer. If yes how can I do this?

I got a new computer (an old dies) new a windows vista and I have to disable the old computer before I load the same copy of Vista on my new computer.  If yes how can I do this?

If Vista is preinstalled on your OLD computer, it is classified as an OEM license and is not transferable.

The license of Vista OEM is related to the original computer it is installed on and dies with the computer.
You cannot transfer it to another computer/laptop

If a license of Vista at retail, you can transfer it to another computer/laptop.
But it can only be installed on one computer at a time.

A single license is a single Installation.

If it is a retail Vista license, read the information on the clean install and then reactivate it:

  • When you get a retailer to re - install Vista are you able to burn a copy of Vista as when he was the first new and turned on for the first time?

Hello and Merry Christmas to all. Sorry its been a while that I had time to be on the forum, (family illness) Anywho my daughter had dropped her Lenovo and although we went through every conceiveable options to retrieve and detaches from the dreaded "black screen" we couldn't. We had the chance to recover his files before he died forever! That was the good part... I had to resume at Tiger Direct, where they installed a new concert 320 H/D and re-installed Vista. Because she graduated she had two of the residence and turned my basement into a hoarders paradise, lol point being that she has no idea where his original disk is so I contacted Lenovo who assured me that they would send me a copy of Vista (how naïve of me) they me sent recovery disc (two games not less and it took more than a month!) that I discovered after the fact that I could have burned my own through Neo-Smart...

There is one thing that still bothers me and that's when we first pulled his new Lap Top for the first time and installed Vista I remembered that the very last paragraph said to make your own copy of the o/s before your done... what was not done! Is it still possible to make a copy of its operating system now? If Yes, how would go about this, if I wait for her to do it, it will not! She was lucky that I was able to use a slave to its hard disk of my XP Sata-IDE cable and get its files on the drive before it me locked. It has an external H/D as most of the people who do not know how to change their scores on the top of their Tower and get the full use out of them as desk top users do.

As aways thanks for the fellow forumer for your time and trouble and any help is appreciated.

    Hey tiggerer

NeoSmart is software startup repair not a recovery disk to reinstall vista

and once you have replaced your hard disk you have lost the ability to do the recovery disk from the recovery partition that may have been defective hard disk

and it depends on your version of vista as to whether you can now make a backup complete pc using microsoft software

you need vista business or vista ultimate to backup full pc

read information from microsoft about it at the link below microsoft

    http://Windows.Microsoft.com/en-us/Windows-Vista/back-up-your-programs-system-settings-and-files

If you have not these versions vista expect from lenovo recovery disks be delivered or buy a third party program to do a full backup pc

one of these programs is the true picture in the link below
