Correct sizing of the image for printing

Good day to all;

I'm a bit new to all this, so that this question may seem a bit simple.

Is there a correct way to size for printing photos. That's what I did.

My camera is set to 6 meg gives me a great original. I want to take advantage of this and print on a 4 x 6.

I bring to the top of the image, select print > click on 'media adapted size. This gives me the size of

5.333 X 4.

I'll return to the selection of the photo: Image > Image size. Under the Document size, I enter 5.333 width. The change of height to 4

Question, I am doing this correctly

Thank you all

Chomp

Use Image > Image size.

Set the resolution to 250 (for inkjet) and put in your long size in inches.

Check "Keep proportion" to avoid any distortion.

' Save as... '. "under a new name.

  • How to use text variables and the Image for printing

I work for several months on the product with AS3 Configurator.
I am not competent with AS3.
Now, it seems that perhaps my design is all wrong.
Is there a good way to do this?

I have a main scenario that has video clips showing images of different options for the product.
On the first image, I use buttons to select the choice for option 1 of the Option1_mc.
Can I store the selection in a variable.
I use a button to go to the next choice (screen 10.)

On frame 10, I use buttons to select the choice of option 2 in the Option2_mc.
It is stored in another variable.

There are about 10 options that are selected and stored in variables.
Some are text values and other images taken from video clips Option instances.

I made a Print_mc to use to printjob.
I can't get the values of the variables to display the first image for printing.

    Any helpl would be appreciated.

    You are welcome.

you will not be able to insert a variable into a textfield.  you are going to assign to the text of your TextField property set to one of your points of variables to.

Thus, for example, if you have:

    var var1:String = 'this is a test ';

    You can use:

    TF. Text = var1;

  • Help - sizing of the images to print

I need help because I have really problems.  When I shoot, Nikon D750 and in RAW, once I changed the images, I try to get the size of print 8 x 10, 11 x 14...  But when I go to resize them they do not hold their original appearance.  For example the picture of a car I shot, when I check the size of the image is W = 20.053 and H = 10.55.  Now I would like to print this at 8 x 10 or even 11 x 14, but when I change it to one of these dimensions, then the image is all chewed and looks like a cartoon.  I can't understand this.  What I am doing wrong?

As in your example of image, it's say to print on paper 10 x 20 or 5 x 10 so reduced.

5 x 10 will not fit paper 8 x 10 without stretching it. There is no way to this.

You use the crop tool to decide which part of the image printed on it. Cropping is the best method if you do not want to distort your image.

I do not know the parameters of your DSLR, but in the future, you can select a longer describes what you want to print, or take the photo at an angle wide enough to eliminate the surroundings without clipping of the object.

The pdf file that is in the link has other suggestions as well.

You cannot escape the proportions. The Image and the paper must be a tight fit.

  • Lightroom 2.5 size of the Image when printing

I have searched and tried several approaches but can't LR to adjust the size of the image when printing.

For example, I have a Page of Laboratory Test tif image that has a size of 23 "wide x 29" H paper and resolution 180 dpi.

I can use CSR 4 Image/Image size to change this in a 8 "W x 10.5" H and a resolution of 320 DPI using resampling. The reduced image prints correctly in CSR 4 on paper 8.5 "x 11" and translates. 25 "top and bottom margins. The same thing happens in LR 2.5 with the reduced size image.

However, if I try to print the original image using LR 2.5 to automatically resize the image it is malfunctioning. I tried all kinds of combinations of settings so that it can reduce the image (as is done in 4 CSR) and print with. 25 "down the margins without success. The image can not resize correctly.

Is it a bug, a feature?, or operator error? Can anyone tell how LR 2.5 will resize automatically so it prints correctly? I tested on other computers with the same results.

    Thank you

    Go to the print module.

    Select print to jpg.

Set the resolution at 180 dpi.

Other output parameters, sharpening, profile of such paper as required.

Determine the size of margin according to the needs.

Set the size of the cell to the size of the image

Set the Dimensions of the custom paper size... 29 "x 23" in this case.

You can drag the size of the cells and the edges around until get you exactly the layout on paper, you need. So how successful final print to the file, name the file, and the work is done.

If you want to print a different size, with different resolution, on paper of different size, with different borders all this can be done in the print module and it is WYSIWYG if no guess work (or calculations) involved. LR rather PS this also has the advantage of use much better algorithms for images of migration than PS and application output sharpening for the specific media type, to which you intend to print, using the RAW data

  • Sizing of the images of several resolutions to print on a page of a resolution

Maybe it's a basic question of Photoshop that betrays my lack of experience with the digital workspace, but I would like to know how to draw multiple images of different resolutions on a 300 ppi page, intended to be printed.

    I have three images: a 300 ppi, 3 x 4 inches, another is 4 x 5 inch, 900 DPI and a third is 4 x 5 inches, 600 dpi.

I created a single page that is 300 ppi, 8 x 10 inches. My images will be adapted according to the physical size. But when I drop my 600 dpi and ppi 900 images in this page, they explode at twice and three times the space, spoiling my efforts to put them. Similarly, if I cut the ppi on images greater than 300 DPI, they explode as well.

The only possible option I think that might work is automatic Resample/bicubic. But wouldn't that reduce the quality of the image?

    Thank you!

An image file is a single file, no matter how many layers and images and sizes of pictures in there is that a single resolution than one resolution that all layers and images have the same resolution, the current resolution set in the document or the file setting.

You can process the image file and save the files that have different resolution and different image of an open image size.  You would set something like that using the Image Processor Pro Script Photoshop plug-in that is available free on the Web.

A printed page can have multiple images of different sizes to this topic but all images on the page have the same pixel resolution. They're just a different number of pixels. Larger images are more pixels then small images on the page.

It's easy to make a layout.  Do your layout and size of your images for your page layout.

    Photo Collage Toolkit

Scripts for Photoshop is powerful and I think that this package demonstrates this a video showing a collage of 5 model PSD image fills with images:

The package includes four simple rules to follow to make Photo Collage Template PSD files so they will be compatible with my Photoshop scripts.

    1. Models of photo collage for the desired print size - width and height of the size and DPI print resolution.
    2. Photo collage templates must have a background layer in Photoshop. The content of this layer can be anything.
    3. Photo collage templates must have alpha channels named "Picture 1", "Picture 2"... "Picture n".
    4. Photo collage templates layers above the background layers must provide transparent areas to reveal the images which will be placed below them.

There are fifteen scripts in this package, they provide the following functions:

    1. HelpPhotoCollageToolkit.jsx - online help
    2. TestCollageTemplate.jsx - used to test a model of Collage of Photo while you're doing it with Photoshop.
    3. CollageTemplateBuilder.jsx - can build models that are compatible with this toolkit scripts.
    4. LayerToAlphaChan.jsx - used to convert a stack of the Prototype Image layers in a document template.
    5. InteractivePopulateCollage.jsx - used to fill interactively model Any Photo Collage. Offers more user control insert images and text.
    6. ReplaceCollageImage.jsx - allows to replace an object layer dynamic image collage populated with another image resized and positioned correctly.
    7. ChangeTextSize.jsx - this script can be used to change the size of text Image stamps when the size used by the filling did not work well.
    8. PopulateCollageTemplate.jsx - used to fill a Photo Collage template and leave the populated copy automatically opened in Photoshop.
    9. BatchOneImageCollage.jsx - used for the models automatically batch fill Collage that have only a single image inserted. The Collage or picture may be stamped with the text.
    10. BatchMultiImageCollage.jsx - used to model automatically batch fill any Photo Collage with images in an image source folder. Easier to use than the interactive script. Recorded collages can be twisted.
    11. PasteImageRoll.jsx - paste Images into a document to print on roll paper.
    12. BatchPicturePackage.jsx - used to model automatically batch fill any Photo Collage with an image in the image source folder.  Rotation of images for a better fit.
    13. BatchPicturePackageNoRotate.jsx - used to model automatically batch fill any Photo Collage with an image in the image source folder.
    14. PopulatePicturePackage.jsx - used to fill a Photo Collage fill with the same single image model and leave the populated copy automatically opened in Photoshop.
    15. PCTpreferences.jsx - edit this file to customize Collage fill preset scripts and add your own layer styles.

  • How to import images for printing of 8.5 x 11 when the model is smaller

I downloaded a brochure booklet template that prints to 8.5 x 11. The actual model when I opened in IndDesign seems to be smaller than this size. My question is how can I import my images in this model and have it print on 8.5 x 11 without affecting the quality of my images?

I'm new to InDesign and used only for a few days while working with this model.

Model is graphicriver.net if this will help.

In the example, the model has pictures so I guess it is possible, that I have no idea. If I import the image to the size of its supposed to be when printing it is of course too big to put inside the model.

    IT-Graphix wrote:

What leads you to believe this?

As part of the print size, dimensions of the image are taken into account by the assigned resolution. If the images that you expect to be 8.5 x 11 seem to come in InDesign to a larger size, it may just be a question of resolution. After placing an image, check the information for its effective resolution Panel.

  • reverse an image for printing

I have a printer HP Photosmart 5520 and I want to reverse your image to print. Is there a way to do it on my printer or I have to use a photo editing program. /

    Thanks Len

    Hi @race5590,

Thanks for joining the Forums of HP Support with your print request.

I understand that you use a HP Photosmart 5520 e-all-in-one printer with a Windows 7 computer and you were wondoering if an inverted image printing is an interior option selectable by software of the printer. I would like to help.

Reverse an image is not available as an option in the settings of the printer, but if you have the image stored on your Windows 7 computer, you could open the image in MS Paint and flip the image horizontally to get an inverted image.

    1. click the button Start on the Windows desktop.

    2. click on all programs.

    3. click on the folder Accessories , and click Paint to open the program.

    4. click on the button of the paint .

    5. click on Open.

    6. Once you have navigated the PC and selected the desired image file, click Open.

    7. when the image is loaded, select rotation in the section of the Image, and then select back horizontally.

    8. click on the paint button again and select record under to rename and save the inverted image.

Please let me know if that solves the problem, or if you need assistance.

Indeed, if this help you to achieve a solution please click the 'accept as Solution' and the 'thumbs up' buttons down below in this message.

  • On the image in print quality

Sometimes, you will notice that when you print an image it does not appear as expected, the colors are just a little off - step as vibrant as you want it to. There is a reason for that, and that's because when you transfer an image on your computer the colors for the image change slightly.

In the real world and in printing, the colors come from three primary colors - Cyan (light blue), Magenta (Pink) and yellow.  Then there is black which gives depth and a sound signal (CMYK).  However, on your computer screen, you're dealing with a different method. Most of the screens are made up of small LEDs that flash at very high speed to give you the colors you see. These diodes are blue, red and green (RGB).

Now, these two color combinations are very similar, this is why there is not a radical change, and for some, this change might not be noticeable. Here is an example of printing from the computer-

While this image is superb, the tones in some areas are a little more muted due to how the file was subtly shifted from CMYK to RGB. Now, you can find the details of this image by carefully creating presets for photo through various programs that essentially make up for this change, but there are other easier methods, I found.

The first of them is to use ePrint. If you have a printer with web functionality, send the photo via email diretly to the printer cancels the transition and renders the image as it was originally. Not all printers have this feature, but it is becoming more common on many newer models often.

The other method is one that you can use your printer directly if you have a card reader / USB port. Imbernon or load the image on one of these devices you can print again directly avoiding the color conversion. This will give your images a more pristine quality. Take a look at the same image printed directly from a USB key.

Just a little more dynamic and has just a touch more in detail. To get the best quality and results, sometimes it requires outside the box thinking. Generally this method will provide you with great results without any necessary error.

However, it is important to note that if you want to convert or use a format other than .jpg, it won't work, and you try to change the settings on the program that you use to compensate for the shift in color.

I hope this information is useful to you guys, if you have any questions contact me for more help!

  • Photosmart HP 7520: Two questions - one who changed the default for printing, saving another scans

Recently, I had a problem when I go to print a document.  It is default to the fax.  I've never used the fax so doesn't understand why this should happen.  He always missed HP Photosmart 7520 series.  How to bring back the default?

Next issue: I want to scan an image and save it to the computer.  I chose the 'computer' it attempts to analyze and comes up with this error: "no connection without a computer.  See the help documentation and the printer to troubleshoot the connection"sometimes there is a popup on the computer screen that says to choose my program photo but most of the time I just get the error message on the printer screen.

It becomes crazy.  This morning is not allow me to do anything unless I go into the Printer Wizard and click on the "scan a document or photo.  This time, it will "select a shortcut, etc.  I click on the choice I want then and it scans and wonder if this.  I can't to point to the exact location, I want the image to achieve (my library of images).

I think I'll have to do the work around like that.  At least I can now.

  • could not see the image tiff, printed using Microsoft Office Image writer

My OS is Windows Vista Home Premium.

I am able to print a document using the printer, but when I print the same document by selecting the Microsoft Office Image writer, I cannot find the image file to the location that I saved. I am able to see the image immediately after printing, but does not after the closing of the window. I am able to see the document I'm trying to attach it to an email in the file to be attached to window, but if I join I get an error message saying that the file is not found at the location. If anyone can help...?

Ooes that happen with all the tiff images or just a specific document?  It happens with any other type of file?

If it occurs with a single document and works very well with other tiff files, then I would say that the file is corrupted.  Can you open it directly?  It may be a problem with Office Image Writer, and possibly your e-mail program - but it's not likely if they work with other files, tiff and other file types.

Maybe the Office has a feature to repair corrupted files.  Also if the problem affects all files tiff and other types of files when you use Image Writer, I suggest that repost you your question in the Forum of the Office to: http://www.microsoft.com/office/community/en-us/flyoutoverview.mspx where the experts at the office will be more than happy to help you with your problem.  You can also find 3rd-party file corruption repair sofware online by searching for what I said just to www.download.com, www.tucows.com, Bing and Google.  If you use Outlook for e-mail, you can after there as well to cover the messaging problem you described.  If you use another e-mail program, answer simply by name.

  • Cannot make the fx color correction without getting the image of strobe

Cannot make the fx color correction or blur fx with masks without getting the image to strobe. Do not return in the sequence, or export without the video strobe effect. It is clearly a problem since at least 2011 because I saw some forum posts dating back that far. Don't know how or why it is always a question 5 years later. I have the correction color fx on an adjustment layer that makes very well. Leave color and blur fx on a couple of individual clips is whats creating the problem. Does anyone have a solution? It does not appear that I can wait for Adobe.

At this point, I would create a sequence for each clip (in the garbage, make a right click, create sequence and apply the FX it) then replace the clips in the mixture with the sequences.  -Test this point by one before they go crazy.

OR, using the idea of sequence preceding above, return on a new clip with holiday color applied to replace as new originals in the mixture.

Third idea: replace the clips with linked AE comp and try the color of leave which are.

In short, do what you can to take the color of leave out of the final equation.
