  • Error loading operating system message is displayed after the partial installation of Windows XP

    Hello all, I was doing a clean install of Windows XP from the CD on my desktop PC.  I had reached the point where I had deleted the existing system partition and created a new system partition and had begun to load data from system to system on the CD when I accidentally stop the surge protector, shutting off the power to the computer, the screen of the monitor, etc.  After that I restored power, I turned on the PC without the XP installation CD in the CD/DVD drive.  The system posted successfully and start the CD line appeared IMMEDIATELY followed by the message "error loading operating system" on a new line.  I tried to start with the installation of XP in the drive disc, as well as with the "Ultimate Boot CD" in the player - the "Error loading operating system" message appeared in both cases.  Thanks for any help you can provide!

    The desktop PC has had a full legal work Windows XP with SP3, but I chose to reinstall from scratch, because I had problems with corrupted data in the Zone Alarm and card ATI graphics card software that caused random outages, lead to situations of re - start.  I couldn't fix the files for these 2 applications that I had this desktop PC in stock for more than 18 months and I couldn't remember the administrator password I had used.

    Once more, these error messages tell me you dΘmarrez the hard disk and no CD-ROM drive.  The message "NTLDR is missing" is read the boot sector, on most of the installations of Windows, the boot sector is usually the absolute sector 63 on the disc, using DiskProbe you will see the text of the message to the given sector.

    Your drive is perhaps at fault... or it may be absolutely nothing wrong with it!  You may need to press a key to boot from the CD, often you see a message like «Press any key to boot from CD...» "or some thing in this sense, maybe you're not a touch and the BIOS ignores the boot from CD-ROM and goes to the next boot device (hard drive).

  • system32\DRIVERS\pci.sys missing or corrupt file error but windows xp is already preloaded on computer when purchased

    missing or corrupt file error system32\DRIVERS\pci.sys keeps appearing. I had a problem with google chrome and then stop everything. This error appeared. It tells me to use the cr rom boot but xp was already loaded on the sony vaio that we bought a few years ago. I don't know what to do next because I don't want to lose the pictures and music, we have on the hard drive. Any help would be appreciated

    If your data is not backed up, then at some point that the data will be lost.

    Your Sony are delivered with a hidden restore partition or recovery disks, but I do not think that the Sony recovery allows to repair an installation of win, only pure install.

    You must remove the drive and it slave on another PC in order to retrieve the data, or take it to a decent repair shop for them to do it for you

    In addition to the error message when my PC goes into mode 'sleep' & the monitor turns off, I am unable to wake up the screen saver.
    What is this error and how to fix it & the problem of monitor

    Hi Adrien,.

    According to the description, it seems that you are having problems with the startup error message and the computer doesn't wake up from its sleep.

    Follow the suggestions below for a possible solution:

    Method 1: I suggest you perform the clean boot and check if the problem persists.

    Place the computer in a clean boot state, then check if it helps. You can start Windows by using a minimal set of drivers and startup programs. This type of boot is known as a "clean boot". A clean boot helps eliminate software conflicts.

    http://support.Microsoft.com/kb/929135

    Note: After troubleshooting, be sure to configure the computer to start as usual as mentioned in step 3 of the article mentioned above.

  • Help! Error loading BatlogEx.dll

    Dear Forum,

    Could someone tell me please how to restore this file or advise the best course of action?

    Background:

    While the T43 was on the Windows logon screen and the loading up, I (stupidly) unplugged the power cord from my TP43 without a battery in it.

    After reboot, Windows will not load and the message "Windows XP could not start because the following file is missing or corrupt: \WINDOWS\SYSTEM32\CONFIG\SYSTEM"appeared. "

    With the help of a friend, I followed the instructions to http://support.microsoft.com/kb/307545 and the system boots now.

    Problem:

    After doing a system restore, the only problem is that now, a small box appears on startup with the message "error loading C:\PROGRA~1\ThinkPad\UTILIT~1\BatLogEx.dll".

    A Google search reveals that this file is utility battery IBM Thinkpad, which saves the changes in conditions such as load battery management discharges, etc.

    A search of my hard drive only this file located in the: C:\DRIVERS\WIN\BMMPM and C:\IBMTOOLS\DRIVERS\PWRMGR.

    Question:

    How can I solve this problem?

    Correctly guess that this file is useful?

    Thanks in advance for your help.

    Sincere greetings, Harryredknapp

    PS: The system is an IBM T43 under Windows XP SP3.

    Dear Forum,

    I've updated the power manager and that solved the problem with the BatLogEx.dll.

    However, another problem arose. A new "IBM Active Protection System" is now installed. When the computer is started, the following message appears:

    "Active protection does not work as the system detected the abnormal sensor State. To diagnose the sensor device, run PC DOCTOR - HDD Active Protection Test BACK and if it still shows, contact help and Service for repair. »

    When I try and run BACK PC DOCTOR, the program does not load.

    -Should I reinstall PC DOCTOR BACK to run the Test of Protection Active?
    -Could you someone kindly provide a link to the latest version for a T43?
    - Or do I have to disable Active Protection System of loading?
    -If Yes, how should I do this? :-)

    Thanks in advance!

    Hello

    This is the result of malware then carry out a very thorough check and when the system
    is clean see the following message to remove these errors.

    If you need search malware here's my recommendations - they will allow you to
    scrutiny and the withdrawal without ending up with a load of spyware programs running
    resident who can cause as many questions as the malware and may be more difficult to detect as the
    cause.

    No one program cannot be used to detect and remove any malware. Added that often easy
    to detect malicious software often comes with a much harder to detect and remove the payload. Then
    its best to be thorough than paying the high price later now too. Check with them to one
    extreme overkill point and then run the cleaning only when you are sure that the system is clean.

    It can be made repeatedly in Mode safe - F8 tap that you start, however, you must also run
    the regular windows when you can.

    Download malwarebytes and scan with it, run MRT and add Prevx to be sure that he is gone.

  • Vista Ultimate does not start: c:\windows\system32\ntkrnlpa.exe is corrupt failed error code = 0 x 2

    All of a sudden I started my laptop and Windows does not load.  I received a message "failed to nobulate".  I searched in the help forums and found that I could create a boot CD (because the OS came preinstalled on Dell INspiron 1720 laptop computer).  I tried to perform a Startup Repair 11 times.  The repair details show:

    Boot critical file c:\windows\system32\ntkrnlpa.exe is corrupt failed error code = 0 x 2

    I also tried to visit the advanced repair and selecting to restore from an earlier point in time, but I relieve error that no previous points are detected.

    Help, please!  I '; ve been against a week and need back up and going.  Thank you!

    And that way if you have a recovery partition on your hard drive.

    Data recovery:

    1. slave of your hard drive in another computer and read/save your data out there.

    2. put your Hard drive in a USB hard drive case, plug it into another computer and read/save from there.

    3 Alternatively, use Knoppix Live CD to recover data:

    http://www.Knopper.NET/Knoppix/index-en.html

    Download/save the file Knoppix Live CD ISO above.

    ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
    http://isorecorder.alexfeinman.com/isorecorder.htm
    Download the Vista software from the link above.
    After installing above ISO burning software, right click on the Knoppix ISO file > copy the Image to a CD.
    Knoppix is not installed on your PC; use only the resources of your PC, RAM, graphics etc.
    Change the boot order in YOUR computer/laptop to the CD/DVD Drive 1st in the boot order.
    Plug a Flash Drive/Memory Stick, BOOT with the Live CD, and you should be able to read the hard drive.
    When the desktop loads, you will see at least two drive hard icons on the desktop (one for your hard drive) and one for the USB key.
    Click on the icons of hard drive to open and to understand which drive is which.
    Click the icon for the USB drive and click on "Actions > Change the read/write mode" so you can write to disk (it is read-only by default for security reasons).
    Now to find the files you want to back up, just drag and drop them on the USB. When you're done, shut down the system and remove the USB key.
