Corrupted Windows Media Player?
I know that he had already given messages posted on this problem, but I tried every restore/re-download method that was listed in this community, the reinstatement of the script.dll to microsoft of deactivation and reactivation of deleting the files of .wmpd programs in the hope that the database would re - build itself. Nothing has worked. I repeat: nothing has worked. Technical support is useless, because "they cannot do anything without a subscription to support services" and I don't have extravagant funds to acquire assistance "professional" so it seems to me that this problem will be still unresolved.
Please do not hesitate to refer to the discussions of the forum in question for confirmation that I have tried of their particular courses of action or make suggestions. I wait with impatience any response, regardless of the content, although my desperation to have this program so I can play a game on Xbox that requires it became rather desperate at this point.
You did not mention if or not you tried the Automated "fixit tool"

Corrupted Windows Media Player / cannot access
Hello
When I try to access Windows Media Player, I get the message that the file, the path or device is not accessible, and I can't have permission. However, the permissions are enabled under the Security tab. After installing an update from microsoft, I noticed that the icon was missing for the media player. When I researched the program he can access.
I would like to re - install the media player, but he does not accept the download for media player 11, saying: this is an older version.
Any suggestions?

Hello
1. what operating system do you use?
Method1: I suggest you run the troubleshooter to library and check if that helps.
Open the troubleshooter in the Windows Media Player library
http://Windows.Microsoft.com/en-us/Windows7/open-the-Windows-Media-Player-library-Troubleshooter
Method2: It would be possible that the files in the directory that stores Media Player may contain corrupted data. Go to the following directory and delete all the files in the folder. Test if the problem recurs.
%UserProfile%\AppData\Local\Microsoft\Media Player
Note: Please save the contents of the directory first.
Method 3: Reinstall Windows Media Player
As a last resort, try to uninstall and reinstall Windows Media Player.
This version fixes most of the problems of corruption of Windows Media Player.
Note that uninstalling Windows Media Player 12 also disables Windows Media Center because WMC uses WMP12 to its operation.

I'm trying to fix Windows Media Player 12 without success.
I tried 'turned on' and 'off' Windows Media Player via "Turn Windows features on or off"-there did not work. It will not fix the problem, and I think I know why.
I ran sfc/scannow from the cmd prompt gives me the following in the CBS.log log error message:
[RS] Could not reproject corrupted file [ml:520 {260}, l:106 {53}] '------? \C:\Program files (x 86) \Windows Media Player\en-US "------[l:26 {13}] 'mpvis.dll.mui '; source file in the store is also corrupted
I just took the 'ownership' of the file and replaced by a different copy on another hard drive that worked. I have the journal and if the information is needed to solve this problem I'll post here apart from the above error message.
Attempt to run Windows Media player only gives me the error message:
"Window Media Player is not installed correctly and must be reinstalled. You want to install the player from the Microsoft website? »
I 'want' install the player on MS website, but they do not offer this possibility because it is nowhere available for download. I have to say I am frustrated by this situation and I would like to know why MS decided to make this hassle to reinstall a program properly.
I guess that's the only option.http://www.SevenForums.com/tutorials/3413-repair-install.htmlIf this post answers your question, click mark as answer .

Windows Media Player - corrupted library
Separated from this thread.
EIS,
I am running Windows 7, 64-bit home etsur and have Windows Media Player V12.
I have two big problems with WMP, the first is a library corrupt - I can not add properly
files to the library. The other problem is that WMP will not successfully "apply media
Change information after I used the "Update Album Info" feature for albums that have been properly added. It evokes the
bar of progression, says it is 100% complete, but there has been no change in the Explorer of W...
As part of an attempt to solve the first problem I tried everything that follows, (not in this)ranking).
Convenience store of the Player library run Media 1.).
2.) run Media player troubleshooting utility parameters.
3.) and then, if necessary, run [alt - t], advanced tool, restoration of the library
4.) remove the WMP to force a complete rebuild - close WMP library database in the start menuengine search box type %LOCALAPPDATA%\Microsoft\Media Player in Windows explorer which
seems to remove all files (but not the subfolders). See if that solved the problem.
5.A) Unload WMP - Panel, programs and features, [left] activate Windows featureson or off, multimedia, clear features checkbox Windows Media Player, Yes, OK, restart the PC.
5b.) Reload WMP - control panel programs and features, [left] activate Windows featuresOn or off, characteristics of media, select the Windows Media Player box, Yes, OK, restart the PC.
After 2). I thought that the first problem was resolved that 120 new albums ("unknown") have been
successfully added, but I noticed that there are a few folders that were not added and
cannot be added manually. Verification of the files that are included with the library management is not helping either. And the second problem persists.
If you can offer any new help, I would appreciate it.
Hi Steve, this is certainly the WAV format that's your problem. WAV is generally very bad marking support: WMP only WAV files tags once wrote during extraction, and they is not editable later. For more information, see
http://thewelltemperedcomputer.com/SW/WMP/wav.htm
There is no need to re - tear the relevant albums that you can only convert WAV files to another format using a tool like dBpoweramp. Recommended formats are MP3 or WMA Lossless if you do not want quality loss.

corrupted by Windows media player
have a scanner on media player and said his corrupt, constantly uploading images, icons, images. How do I overcome this?
Hi carper08,
a. What is the analysis that you have conducted as reports of Windows Media Player to be corrupt?
b. you receive an error message? You can re-create the database of Windows Media Player and see if that fixes the problem.
To resolve this problem, delete the Windows Media Player database. To do this, follow these steps:
1. exit Windows Media Player.
2. click on start, type %LOCALAPPDATA%\Microsoft\Media Player , and then click OK.
3. Select all the files in the folder and then click on Delete on the file menu.Note You don't have to remove the folders that are in this folder.
4. restart Windows Media Player.Note Windows Media Player automatically rebuilds the database.
If this does not resolve the problem, disable the Windows Media Player database cache files. To do this, follow these steps:
1. exit Windows Media Player.
2. click on start, type %LOCALAPPDATA%\Microsoft and then click OK.
3. Select the Media Player folder, and then click delete on the file menu.

My windows media player suddenly started acting weird (slow ripping time; doubling and tripling occasionally, content CD for example library). I have tried many suggestions for an error where Windows Media Player (WMP) would not play any music or video files after a reinstall of Windows 7 online.
All the drivers have been checked for the latest driver in Device Manager after reinstallation.
Update of drivers have been installed, if necessary,
Not all files would play in WMP.
Error messages have been the library WMP files were corrupt or configuration settings can be unruly.
None of the suggestions online worked for me.
Try the following:
Right click on this web page and create a shortcut on your desktop at the top of the landing page after the reboot.
Click on: start - type "device manager".
Click: Device Manager
Click on: "audio, video and game controllers".
Click on: Driver tab
Click: CODEC Audio of IDT high definition (HD)
Click: uninstall
Reset
DOWNLOAD: IDT high definition (HD) Audio CODEC 2013

The library used by Windows Media Player is corrupt. What can I do?
We have removed the virus that caused it (the library is still corrupted), but now we can't find one of our photos, videos or documents. We saw all our photos and videos for a few minutes when we opened the Windows Media Player for the first time, but as soon as the update is complete, all disappeared. When we click on 'Properties' on a couple of records that appear still under 'Photos', the file size and the number of files, the two seem to be OK; However, when we open the file, it is empty.
