  Have you tried to set the value of the link speed/duplex mode? I had the same problem you describe. Your card is only capable of 10/100 communication.

Then created a file udl on desktop and double clicking on udl file in the provider list, I am not able to see OOracle OLE DB provider. I checked that there are files OLEDB*.dll under c:\oracle\bin. and I can see entries in the registry entry.

  Your information is somewhat distorted, but I guess that what follows:

  'Netgear47' is a model of a Netgear wireless router.

  The error message that you get on the Vaio is similar to "Windows could not find a certificate to connect to the network.

  What version AND service pack of Windows XP is installed on the Vaio (right click my computer and select Properties, if you do not know).
