Could not find the meaning of ' ~ ' (followed by a name of file in particular).

Previous name of a single file appears in the list of worksheets, and the same file name will also appear without the «~»
So far I would say the files are exactly the same. noted no differences.

In addition to knowing the meaning, you enjoy where I should go somewhere, probably in Microsoft.
Not in the FAQ and SEARCH brought no response.

Thanks for the help!

You have your system configured to show hidden files (Folder Options > view tab). Files with a tilde ("" ~ "") in front of them are temporary files. MS Office such as Word and Excel programs make a temporary file that they work. Temporary files are supposed to be emptied when you close the program, but sometimes they are not. The actual file - the one you work-is that without the tilde. MS - MVP - Elephant Boy computers - don't panic!

Hi, I would be grateful for help on this, I bought a new seagate expansion external hard drive not too long ago (abt 3 months old) and tried to use the device only recently (to back up my files). Windows has detected the drive but says that it could not find the drivers. (code 28)

When I tried the drive on a 32-bit computer, it showed up working find and dandy. When it is plugged in the computer of the alien-ware, same error.
Tried the uninstall from Device Manager and restart the computer, still the same error.

  • System could not find the environment option that was entered.

The Trend Micro Client caused a bit of stir in my computer.

He gave me the UiSeAgnt.exe error and I couldn't open any .exe files. I uninstalled Trend Micro and that pop up more rises. But the "System could not find the environment option/variable is entered" is yet to come when I try to run the .exe. This means that same cmd cannot be opened. I can not connect to the Internet independently wireless or wired. Audio system is not even the sense system speakers or external audio devices.

I tried the system restore, did not work. I tried SFC/scannow, did not work. Now my current idea is to back up my files and blow the computer on with a clean restore. What should I do? I use a Vaio E series 14 p, btw.

If it really comes down to it, how much memory should I backup everything?

    Hi Vey,

Thanks for posting your query in the Microsoft community.

Your system is connected to a domain network?

This problem occurs in situations where Shutdown.exe cannot access the UserDomain environment variable. The task of the judgment which is on demand by using the at command runs under the system account. When the task is run under the System account, the UserDomain environment variable are not accessible because it does not exist. But the problem occurs mainly on the areas of server.

I would suggest trying the following steps and check if these help to resolve the issue.

    1. start your system in safe mode.

    2. press on the Windows key + R.

    3. type sysdm.cpl , and then click OK.

    4. click on the "Advanced" tab

    5. in "Startup and recovery", click "Environment Variables".

    6. under "System Variables", click 'new '.

    7. for "Variable name", type in windir%

    8. for 'Value of the Variable', type in C:\Windows

    9. click OK on the all the dialog boxes that pop up.

    10. restart your system in normal mode.

If, however, your system is connected to the normal mode, please see the following support article.

Computer does not and you receive an error "System cannot find the environment Option that was entered" when you schedule a task of closing using the AT command

  • Impossible to install XP SP3 (could not find the file specified)

I looked at and followed the steps described in

Article ID: 950717 - steps to take before you install Windows XP Service Pack 3

    I do not have

    • Microsoft Shared Computer Toolkit
    • Pack MUI Remote Desktop Connection (RDP) 6.0 (update 925877 for Windows XP)

I tried to install SP3 with and without my Antivirus, Antispyware and firewall running programs (several times – 4, 5, or more).  Each time, I get an error staing "could not find the specified file."  Then after being told that SP3 can not be installed and that "Windows XP has been partially updated and may not work properly", I have to restart my system.

I also followed all the steps in this article (Article ID: 950718 - how to troubleshoot an installation fails in Windows XP Service Pack 3) and still the same thing as above.

I tried to download SP3 directly from the Download Center - same results as before.

I started the BITS service and tried again - same results as above.

I've disabled auto updates and removed to software distribution (download renamed folder as shown) - same results as shown above.

I tried to restore my system to an earlier date - 4 these attempts using different dates and set points during the last wee - ALL have failed.

I also tried the proposals 1 to 3 in this article (Article ID: 950249-how to remove Windows XP Service Pack 3 from your computer), and none of these steps worked.

I spent over 8 hours today and yesterday a couple just trying to solve this problem and still don't get anywhere.  I am beyond frustrated at this point.  I know that say Windows can not work properly, and I need my computer to do my job.  Any help would be appreciated.

You could do a repair installation with a CD of Windows XP with SP3 integrated already.  However, unless this is a new installation that you have installed SP2 on so you could get then SP3 installed on it - you have obviously been broadcast for some time without a lot of fixed security and tastes and your system could very well be stripped because of this.

    Search for malware:

Download, install, execute, update and perform analyses complete system with the two following applications:

Remove anything they find.  Reboot when necessary.  (You can uninstall one or both when finished.)

Search online with eSet Online Scanner.

The less you have to run all the time, most things you want to run will perform:

Use Autoruns to understand this all starts when your computer's / when you log in.  Look for whatever it is you do not know using Google (or ask here.)  You can hopefully figure out if there are things from when your computer does (or connect) you don't not need and then configure them (through their own built-in mechanisms is the preferred method) so they do not - start using your resources without reason.

You can download and use Process Explorer to see exactly what is taking your time processor/CPU and memory.  This can help you to identify applications that you might want to consider alternatives for and get rid of all together.

You can free up disk space (will also help get rid of the things that you do not use) through the following steps:

You can disable hibernation if it is enabled and you do not...

When you Hibernate your computer, Windows saves the contents of the system memory in the hiberfil.sys file. As a result, the size of the hiberfil.sys file will always be equal to the amount of physical memory in your system. If you don't use the Hibernate feature and want to reclaim the space used by Windows for the hiberfil.sys file, perform the following steps:

-Start the Control Panel Power Options applet (go to start, settings, Control Panel, and then click Power Options).
-Select the Hibernate tab, uncheck "Activate the hibernation", and then click OK. Although you might think otherwise, selecting never under "Hibernate" option on the power management tab does not delete the hiberfil.sys file.
-Windows remove the "Hibernate" option on the power management tab and delete the hiberfil.sys file.

You can control the amount of space your system restore can use...

    1. Click Start, right click my computer and then click Properties.
    2. click on the System Restore tab.

4 change the percentage of disk space you want to allow... I suggest moving the slider until you have about 1 GB (1024 MB or close to that...)
    5. click on OK. Then click OK again.

Empty the temporary Internet files and reduce the size, that it stores a size between 64 MB and 128 MB...

-Open a copy of Microsoft Internet Explorer.
    -Select TOOLS - Internet Options.
-On the general tab in the section 'Temporary Internet files', follow these steps:
-Click on 'Delete the Cookies' (click OK)
-Click on "Settings" and change the "amount of disk space to use: ' something between 64 MB and 128 MB. (There may be many more now.)
    -Click OK.
-Click on 'Delete files', then select "Delete all offline content" (the box), and then click OK. (If you had a LOT, it can take 2 to 10 minutes or more).
-Once it's done, click OK, close Internet Explorer, open Internet Explorer.

  • Could not find the ColdFusion component or interface

I get an error 'Could not find the ColdFusion component or interface' when I try to call CF feed or http methods, for example:

    localtest.httpService = new http();

Results in the error, 'Cold not find the ColdFusion component or interface http'

I have two CF 9 instances that are running on the same machine (Windows Server 2008), both running the latest patch (patch 2). The two cases raise the same error. I have another separate server running CF 9 (does not have the hotfix 2 installed) and it can run code very well. I guess feed() and http() are defined in an Adobe ColdFusion cfc in the CFIDE directory somewhere, but I don't know which because they are encrypted.

When you say "mapped" do you mean "with a CF mapping? If Yes, what is the mapping and where?

On my install CF9, I've got a custom tag path defined, that points to the cfusion/customTags directory, which in turn contains the com/adobe/coldfusion dir, which is where the CFC is. It's the out-of-the-box config.

Due to the track being defined custom tag, all files within this subdirectory structure can be treated without any other path, such as:

    new http()

A mapping to CFIDE won't help you, because the files are not in the dir of CFIDE. And even then, say you had a map to cfusion/customtags called "/ foo", you would need the path access to the CFCS in your code:

    new foo.com.adobe.coldfusion.http)

(or have an import statement that precedes the new statement)

I created a library of service interfaces and a library for implementations of service following the instructions in the http://help.adobe.com/en_US/enterpriseplatform/10.0/AEPDeveloperGuide/WSabb771403789c7a3-3 1e63d5312fb7375fac - 8000.html #WSe851854fd1e0856a3adf5f4513046ea7dc4-7ffe. When I use the annotations described my service and the interface library interfaces are added automatically.

When I deploy my catalog there is no error. I use CRXDE Lite and go to the/content/mosaic/catalogs / [my catalog name] and I can see my interfaces and classes in this service.

I have create a new Flex for ADEP experience Services and selected the catalogue project that I created. In here, I create a new style sheet in the package of style sheets, and it is created in [project] / src/styleSheets / [name of the style sheet]. I have a right-click on the style sheet and selected "Compile CSS to SWF". My stylesheet is automatically added to the catalog.

I try to deploy the catalog at this point and it gives me the error "could not find the good (s) below referenced in the catalogue:"and then lists my style sheet. "

Is that what someone has had this problem and have an idea of what hole I'm fall in?

I reinstalled Flash Builder and deleted the folder of crx-quickstart on Services of experience so he would have to rebuild.

I am able to deploy the catalog with a specified pane. I created a stylesheet at the top level of the src folder, it did not appear in the catalog and the catalog deployed.

I'm not sure what was the causes of the problem with the tiles. I saw it reappear briefly. I deleted the project and re-created and the problem disappeared.

  • Satellite L500 - could not find the SRS audio device

At the start of my Satellite L500, a message appears saying - could not find the device audio compatible srs. This has happened when I upgraded to windows 7.

Can someone tell how to fix this?

    Hello

I have the Satellite L500 also but I couldn't t notice this problem. SRS audio device that has something to do with the audio driver, I think.

What do you think to update this driver? You can get it here:
    http://EU.computers.Toshiba-Europe.com > support & downloads > download drivers

Before installing the latest version I recommend you remove the old first. Do a restart and install the most recent.
