• Two issues with LR that I could use help with

  I'm on my first day of using LR and there are two questions that I could use help with:

  1. I can't replace the files when you move one place to the other.  I have a working directory, and now that I'm done I want to move the files finish to my disk archive.  Raw files are already on the archives, so when I try to move them I get an error that the files already exist.  How can I force a crash of in LR?

  2. I have directories where there are pictures which are a set of raw, psd and jpg files.  When I open the directory the raw and jpg are combined so that only the raw and psd files are appearing as separate files.  I would like to keep the jpg file in a separate so file and do not appear as part of the raw file.  When I open the directory in windows Explorer, they appear as three separate files.

  I appreciate your time to help me with these two fundamental questions.

  1. I'm not sure what the problem is here. What operating system do you use?

  2. in your Lightroom preferences, there is an option to treat JPEG files next to raw as separate files images. You must make sure that the option is checked. After you have done this, I think that you must synchronize the folder for the images that you have already imported. Next time you import JPEG files will be displayed separately.

• A 2nd hard drive would help with my rendering time?

  This week, I upgraded my system (comparison between specifications old and new specifications below).  The old system had made a long time and reading when editing has been very hectic 8 Camtasia and Premiere Pro CS6.  The new system is MUCH better than the old system in most regions (make time 2 - 3 times faster in Camtasia and first), but while editing in first video playback is still not as smooth as I like it (although even better than before).

  I bought a WD Black WD1002FAEX - disk hard-1 TB - SATA-600 of CDW (on recommendation from another forum I posted) but do not want to install it if I won't get it a significant improvement in the time of rendering and playback quality when editing. (it was $ 100 in my pocket that I would get back if I do not use)

  Since I am new in this area, I expect some comments from those who are much more familiar with this sort of thing.

  I can't tell you the performance increase you get from the addition of a single disc, but it will be considerable.

  If I export a timeline easy to DV AVI on disk on my system, 3-hour timeline will take about 20-21 seconds to export and to write on the disc, near 37 GB in total, which translates into about 1 800 MB / s. A single disc can reach 150 MB/s if it is dedicated to this task, but even in this case the same export would take 250 seconds. If this single disc is hampered by the traffic lights, as in my analogy, the second 250 could well turn into 300 + seconds. The comparison is not really honest, since I compare 1 single drive dedicated to a 21 (+ 3) matrix of disks, but it displays it sustained transfer rates to have a huge impact on the performance of the disk.

  When you reinstall Windows correctly, you start from the CD. Is it
  what you were doing?

  If so, the installation starts formatting the disk for you, then all the
  your files are gone.

  And by the way, reinstalling Windows due to an infection by the virus is
  almost always way exaggerated. There are several very good anti-virus
  programs that could probably removed the virus for you.

  It is the purpose of MIME multipart/alternative type, if HTML is not supported, the customer returns to the plain text version.

  Today, most of the mail clients Enterprise supports HTML content (Outlook is of of them), just so place all the message in the HTML part and add the link according to your rules.

  Not because of the number of pixels, in this photo and the chosen level of quality there is no possible way to create a JPG file to the size of file you requested. You must change your export settings.

  Show us a copy of the export dialog box, so we can see clearly the part file setting and the size of the Image.

  Also indicate the number of this image (width and height) pixels after cropping (as appropriate) and prior to export.

  1 if we have one or more catalogs for my rather huge collection of photographs. I can't see the advantage of having more than one catalog.

  2 I understand that 'look', 'smart collection' etc. Search all photos in the catalog, I'm trying. But not in any other catalogue I may have.

  3 I understand that several catalogs can contain ordinary pictures.

  As for a lot of people, I feel a few glitches and jitters when viewing my website on Safari.  I have some effects of roll and Parallax background that I'd really like to keep my site.  Then, instead of taking the design completely, I want to duplicate page, delete all the effects and redirect Safari users to this page so they don't have the same movement of nervousness, while Chrome, Firefox etc users still see the design as it should.

  Someone recommended hacking scripts in the HTML after the publication of insert the detection of agents user but I don't have a clue how to proceed...?

• MAC OS 10.6.8 using Safari 5.1 need help with Adobe Flash update

  Recently, Adobe Flash installed an icon in my system preferences and when I click the icon it has several tabs.  It allows updates automatically check.  It is said it will install the latest version of Flash without having to remove the previous version, but I've never said that a newer version is available, unless I have click "check now".  Although "Check updates automatically" is checked, I don't know where he tells me a newer version is available.  In addition, there was 5 "new versions" available since this icon has been installed in the system Prefeences, I only found on newer versions when I clicked on "check now".  If I read that with this new way to install the Mac final version of Flash requires not me to uninstall the previous version of Flash how we installed the latest version of Flash?  Is it in an email?

  Because it tells me that there is a newer version of Flash unless I click on "Check now" must still do the way I used to install the latest version of flash?  (The path in front of this icon was added to the system preferences)?

  I would appreciate help with update Flash to the latest version.  I used to uninstall the old version, restart the browser and download the latest version and install it.  He always worked find, but that was before there was an Adobe icon in my system preferences.

I use 31.3.0. and it hangs in safe mode or in normal mode under one of these conditions: - in 4 minutes - after sending, - add-ons - to help restart/help with opening modules removed Manager. I have reinstalled twice. Yosemite in a day. So I can't install viewabout and am unable to disable the Add-ons before crashing. I don't remember installing add-ons, but they seem to be a common source of accidents, so maybe I did. But... can't watch. Can I worry please someone for a suggestion? Thanks for any help!
