CPU for a HP Pavilion DV6-7115nr

Anyone know how much a new processor would cost, or where I could find one?

If you want the same it's an AMD A8 - 4500M.

Less than $30 on eBay:

http://www.eBay.com/ITM/AMD-A8-4500M-quad-core-1-9GHz-AM4500DEC44HJ-OEM-/140967522847?PT=CPUs & Hash = item20d251b21f

Here is your Service Manual:

Manual

If it's not too curious to ask, why do you think that you need a new processor? Many people think that this is the problem when it is much more likely to be the motherboard, no matter what the blink Codes say. Central units rarely go bad, but not never.

  • Miss me the drivers of usb 3.0 controller host for the hp Pavilion dv6 - 7013cl.

We recently purchased a HP Pavilion dv6 - 7013cl, and I installed Windows 7 Ultimate on it and went through the process of acquiring all the necessary drivers.  However, the drivers for the AMD USB 3.0 host controller (x 2).  The hardware ID is as follows:

    PCI\VEN_1022 & DEV_7812 & SUBSYS_182D103C & REV_03

    PCI\VEN_1022 & DEV_7812 & SUBSYS_182D103C

    PCI\VEN_1022 & DEV_7812 & CC_0C0030

    PCI\VEN_1022 & DEV_7812 & CC_0C03

I searched the site for drivers on HP, as drivers on AMD website and have not been able to find the driver anywhere.

    Thanks for the help,

    Drew Fitzpatrick

Did you try to manually install either the version of the driver by clicking on the device in Device Manager, click on update driver driver. Select the 'Browse my computer for software' and navigate to the installation folder that was created when you ran the driver files.  The file will be in the C:\SWSetup\sp54508 and whatever I posted file name is.

Make sure that the include subfolders is selected and see if the pilot goes like this.

If no luck, I recommend that you install the driver for chipset AMD directly from AMD on the link below. It contains the AMD USB 3.0 controller driver.

First download listed on the page is the one you want.

  • Upgrading CPU for laptop HP Pavilion ze2355ea?

    Hello

My first post - please be gentle!

Can someone tell me if it's worth upgrading my CPU to a 1.6 GHz AMD Turion™ 64 processor ML-30, say, a ML-40 2.2 GHz or 2.4 GHz ML-44?

And if it's worth the upgrade, I would find a significant difference in performance between the ML - 44 (available on ebay for over US$ 120) or the ML-40 (around US $60 or less).  Do I have other options for a CPU upgrade that correspond to a Socket 754?

Some background info: I have a ze2355ea HP Pavilion 6 years old Notebook, running Windows XP (Service Pack 3), with original material specification following:

    Microprocessor AMD Turion™ 64 processor ML-30

The microprocessor Cache Memory 1 MB level 2 cache

    Memory 1024 MB DDR 333 MHz (2 x 512 MB)

Max memory up to 1 GB

Video Graphics ATI RADEON® XPRESS 200 M IGP graphics card

128 MB of shared video memory

Hard drive 60 GB 4200 RPM

Multimedia player DVD Writer double Format (+/-R +/-RW) with support Double layer

    15.0 "XGA TFT Brightview display

I am not in a position to buy a new laptop now, but desperately need to improve performance and storage for internet streaming video and RAW photo editing.

So, I've recently updated the RAM 2 x 1 GB ByteStor, and a 160 GB 5400 RPM Samsung HARD disc.  I've also updated my BIOS and other drivers with the latest versions, I can find.

The increased capacity of the HARD disk is large and HARD drive access times are significantly improved, but the doubling of RAM from 1 GB to 2 GB did me not increase speed and stability that I expected to when running resource hungry applications in resources, such as RAW photo editors.

But back to my questions of title.  It's worth the shot of upgrading me the 1.6 GHz AMD Turion™ 64 processor ML-30, for a 2.2 GHz ML-40 or 2.4 GHz ML-44? Can I find a noticeable difference in performance between the ML - 44 (available on ebay for over US$ 120) or the ML-40 (around US $60 or less).  Do I have other options for a CPU upgrade that correspond to a Socket 754?

I'm perfectly comfortable disassembling and rebuilding my laptop, after already taking part to resolder a doubtful DC power outlet, so falling into a new CPU doesn't discourage me.  I would like to just some assurance that I would spend my money wisely.

Thank you very much in advance for any advice.

    See you soon

    Hello

The only faster processors that are compatible with the motherboard of your laptop are the:

    Mobile AMD Turion 64 ML-37 (2.0 GHz)

    Mobile AMD Turion 64 ML - 34 (1.80 GHz)

    Mobile AMD Turion 64 ML - 32 (1.80 GHz)

The 40 ML and ML-44 are not supported by the BIOS.  It would be a waste of your money to buy.  The Mobile AMD Turion 64 ML-37 (2.0 GHz) is a supported processor. Given that the increase would be + 400 mhz it would be a significant increase in performance.

    Best regards

  • Where can I find what should be my temperatures of the CPU for laptop HP Pavilion DV7-6195us?

I download a software to view the inside temperatures and even if they have little symbols (green check, red/yellow flame, etc.) by every internal part (e.g. CPU0) I want to know what HP internal temperature range is recommended.  Thank you.

What CPU is installed in your laptop?

It isn't really a question of what HP is recommended. Your concern should be what the CPU manufacturer lists as Tjunction for the CPU.

If your laptop is the Intel Core i7-2630QM installed then lists Intel 100 c as TJunction. I found the technique for your laptop here. You should be concerned if you see time > 85 degrees Celsius. Here is a link to Intel for your processor plug.
