Firefox continues to change the url that I entered
I've updated a Web site. When I paste the url in Firefox it keeps changing and display a different page.
The one I want is http://megalithmovers.org/blog-2015-10-24.htm
Firefox continues to change it to http://megalithmovers.org/blog-2015-01-24.htm
The two pages are valid (they have the date in the url as YYYY-MM-DD)
I know that the url is valid, that I stuck in other browsers. Somewhere FF has cached the page in January. Being too smart for that is good, it's settled I've mistyped the url and displays this page, not the one October.
I deleted all the history of this site, but that makes no difference. Please don't tell me to restore the FF default settings - I'll have to re - install all Addons then.

Firefox continues to try to update each time I open the browser, and it then puts a message saying update failed. It does this on both of my computers. We already have the latest version, the other does not. How can I stop Firefox to do this?
If there are problems with the implementation at day then best is to download the full version and uninstall the currently installed version and remove the Firefox program folder to remove all remaining files.
Download a new copy of Firefox and save the file to the desktop.
- Firefox 10.0.x: http://www.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/all.html
Uninstall your current version of Firefox, if possible.
- Do NOT remove the data of a personal nature when you uninstall the current version or you lose your bookmarks and other data, because all profile files will be deleted.
Delete the program folder Firefox before installing newly downloaded copy of the Firefox installer.
- It is important to remove the Firefox program folder to delete all the files and make sure that there is no problem with the files that were the remains after uninstallation.
Your bookmarks and other profile data stored in the Firefox profile folder and will not be affected by a relocation, but make sure that you do not select delete data of a personal nature if you uninstall Firefox.

Firefox continues to run even after the release in Manager Windows tasks and has about as much memory to affect other applications. Firefox.exe must be completed manually in Windows Task Manager. Is there a software patch that will force the release of memory and all the resources of the computer that was using Firefox, when it is finished?

the program continues to block the content even with blocking function disabled. I constantly switch between browsers due to the annoying feature. I want it to stop blocking content, I want to disable the blocking, but laboriously must stop at all the sites I visit and spend time while it blocks content, demand if I want to keep the content blocking, annoyingly sinks and I must say to "remember" not to do and does it continuously , while continually annoyingly content blocks! I want him to stop doing that. I'm an adult, I'm 60 years old. I don't need a babysitter on my browser telling me what I should see and what I see, please fix this as soon as possible. Apparently disable the pop-up blocker does nothing to stop this annoying problem. Its design and its content filtering. It's illegal I think since my content I pay and I pay view all content on the world wide web. I want to stop my research of filtering and blocking content! ENOUGH!
You have an extension, the FindWide toolbar, which many view as an unwanted intruder. You should be able to disable or remove the page modules. Either:
- CTRL + SHIFT + a
- "3-bar" menu button (or tools) > Add-ons
In the left column, click Extensions.
For completeness, here's my method to track down and clean up bad Add - ons and other ad injectors. I know it seems long, but it's not so bad.
(1) open the Control Panel, uninstall a program. After the loading of the list, click on the column heading "installed on" to group infections, I mean additions by date. This can help the undisclosed items bundle smoker who snuck out with some software, you have agreed to install. Beware of everything that you don't recognize / remember, since malware often uses sounding names important or innocent to discourage you remove. Out as much garbage as possible here.
(2) open Firefox page modules using either:
- CTRL + SHIFT + a
- "3-bar" menu button (or tools) > Add-ons
- in the Windows "Run" dialog box, type or paste
firefox.exe "about:addons"
In the left column, click on Plugins. Set essential and unrecognized plugins 'never enable '.
In the left column, click Extensions. Then, in case of doubt, disable (or delete, if possible) not recognized and unwanted extensions.
Often, a link will appear above at least an extension disabled to restart Firefox. You can complete your work on the tab and click one of the links in the last step.
Any improvement?
(3) you can search the rest of problems with scanning/cleaning tools listed in our technical support article: Troubleshooting Firefox problems caused by malware. These scanners on request are free and take a long time to run. If they end quickly, especially if they require the payment you have a serious infection. I suggest the specialty forums listed in the article in this case.

Will Firefox continue for Java
I saw where Google Chrome will take end support for Java in their fall 2015 as well as Microsoft will do the same thing with 'Spartan project'.
Firefox has the intention to continue to support Java in the future?
What I am making reference to "supporting Java" is in the educational world, we use software that requires direct support for Java for the software to use. In particular, I am referring to Ellucian BANNER and Evision ARGOS.
Without Java support, we cannot use these two very critical systems unless we continue to hold on the operating systems that are slowly but surely becoming out dated. That is to say... Windows7 and even then we have to disable or refuse updates of the browsers to maintain ease of use.
Hi, there is no plan to drop java support or other plugins in firefox other than their definition npapi "ask to activate:

New installation of Windows 7 x 64.
First program I have installed is Firefox... and I did have the time in the last three weeks to install anything else.
Whenever Firefox has updated these last few weeks, the default search engine continues to get back to Yahoo. If this is part of the agreement with Yahoo Search, then I'm history; I use Chrome instead of Firefox, although I have sorely missed it. I don't like having to go make adjustments each time I install an update of Firefox.

After the update to Firefox 3.6.13 I continue to receive update notifications to version 3.6.13 after I installed the update and restarted Firefox. Looking at the tab "about Mozilla Firefox" using the specified version is 3.6.13.

Why Firefox continue to try to be better when I'm updating?
I have (Firefox automatically) upgraded to the version: Firefox/3.6.13 about 10 days ago, but the FF continues automatically periodically (every two days?) Download the same update and install it, over and over again. He did about 3 or 4 times now. I use FF (or Mozilla) for about 10 years, and I've never seen that happen before. What is going on?

Dealing with the same companies daily, weekly, or on a very regular basis. When I get a new business account or a customer, I try to remember to delete erroneous results in the address bar. I hit the full url (.com) in the address bar, but Firefox forces of memory (or history) and the only way I can get where I'm going is to type the address from a search engine.
I have everything: completion of the configged, but that didn't work. I also tried autofill.typed, but that has not worked. I tried to change tools > address bar, but the choices are not good. I almost never search bookmarks and my story is too often used to remove. (It seems counterproductive). How can I stop Firefox forcing me to go places I want to go?
It looks like - in the sense to remember shit that I can't remember - and to do my research much more difficult.
I had problems - particularly in Amazonia. I wrote a couple of times. Nobody has ever gotten back me on why FIREFOX has so many problems. If I get answers here, how can I get answers? I don't want to use IE and I don't want to have to avoid certain websites because results suck. I'm in limbo until solutions are found.Thank you.
I don't know if the problem is that Firefox itself changes the address you type in the address bar, or if the site is immediately Firefox redirection to another page when trying to access the address you specified.
For example, 1 & 1 Webmail currently redirects to this site for login: https://webmailcluster.perfora.net/
