Can we create backup files to another folder with timestamp of a file in a different folder.
My goal is: when I dump/copy the files in the folder 1, saving the same file must be created in the folder with timestamp 2.
This will apply even if I change the file existing on the record 1 (i.e. If I change an exixting file in folder 1, this change should reflect by creating a new file with timstamp)Hi Dhawal02,

The thing about automatic updates told me that I should install Windows XP SP3, because the one I have is no longer supported? I went to see what I have to do before installing it, and it says that I need to create backups... and I kinda don't know even what exactly is the SP 3 and what happens when I install it? Same thing with Windows Media Format 11 SDK. The explanation I got from Microsoft Support were a little confusing for me, if someone could please give me simple explanations? Thank you!

Failed to create backup disks/product ID Windows
I bought an all-in-one HP Touch Screen IQ525 new model in February 2010 and tried several times to make a series of disks of backup, and whenever the process fails.
Hello
You'd better contact HP support for problems with creating backup routines. It is not a part of Windows and it is specific to the manufacturer:http://welcome.hp.com/country/us/en/support.html

Brand new machine should support 2 partitions and on the E partition, you should see a recovery of HARD drive folder that contains the image files that are needed to create a recovery disk!He s strange, but I think that you cannot create a recovery disc because there is no file on the E partition recovery

I want to create a password backup disk. When I get to "insert disc" my laptop will not recognize the DVD player to allow me to continue. I have Vista Home Premium 32-bit. All updates installed. I updated the driver for DVD. What I find strange is that I can use the DVD player to play, burn, and load programs, but it will not allow me to create a backup disc. What should I do?
Dr. Ogheda,
The option "backup disc" comes from the old "floppy". Actually Microsoft have not yet changed the wording or the appearance of an option diskette in Windows 7 and probably don't watch change in Windows 8. It still reads 'create the password reset disk'.
I actually now added a tutorial illustrated for my site about creating the password reset disk:http://www.winuser.co.uk/50-creating-a-password-reset-disk.aspx
I'm also composing an illustrated tutorial on using effectively the drive remains to change the account password. This should be transferred in the next few days.

Cannot create Backup factory or Rescue Disk on USB media
For my new laptop Dell Inspiron 15 with WIndows 8, I am creating a backup of the plant (~ 30 GB I would guess based on how many C:\ is used) on my 110 GB Western Digital USB external hard drive, and I am trying to create a rescue disk (~ 13 GB) on 16 GB PNY USB Flash Drive, but I can't do any task.
In the backup of Dell and the restoration, with my 110GB USB drive connected, I clicked on the recovery media, which shows the factory backup / recovery media screen. I put the radio to a USB Flash drive instead of disks (disks = DVD). You press to continue. There is a clock spinning (similar to the familiar hourglass), but it runs just forever. Most of the time, the clock turns just forever, but 1 time I saw instead an error like "no USB key found.
In the Dell backup and restore with my 16GB USB drive connected, I clicked on the rescue floppy, which shows the screen create a rescue disk. Under drive contents, I checked the support of recovery, but no backup system. Almost immediately, I see the error "no drive detected".
Interestingly, I am able to create the rescue disk my 110 GB disk, but it is a waste of space since only 13 GB is necessary, if I want to use the 110 GB drive instead to save the factory.
Yet, both the 110 GB of disk drive 16 GB are detected in Windows Explorer as a drive letter, and I can create a text file on them very well, so that Windows detects them. To make sure that the drivers were updated, I clicked computer in Windows Explorer and chose to manage. In the Device Manager. Disk drives, both drives are listed. For each, I click right and select Update driver software. Search automatically, but the result was "best driver for your device is already installed."
I know that I can use DVD instead of USB media, but I'd rather have all the data in 1 place (well, 2: 1 for the backup of the plant and 1 for the rescue disk); In addition, using several DVD will be a lot of time and seems more risky for me.
Help, please! Thank you.
When I experienced this with a new 660 s Inspiron, I discovered I had reach the point where software began looking for the USB memory key until I inserted into the USB port. But there is an additional condition, and it is that your memory stick should not have been inserted in the port at any time until you tried to use it to build all of the recovery. I went through this as much as you did, first plug the USB into the computer, the implementation of the software and leaving far the beat of clock time that the software looked for the key memory. No go. I went back to start, started the backup software, waited for the prompt for a path to the memory stick, plugged the key and still no go. Finally, returned at the beginning, reached the line and chose another USB port to the memory key. Who allowed the application for relief as the computer should install the key in the new port to find the key.
All this is very frustrating, and I sympathize completely. Good luck to you!

Create backup of database existing standby database
I have a scenario where in I need to create a database of Eve from an existing database in standby.

Anyone have an idea on this?
This happens as a lock. If I try to apply the 11715084 patch now, it will roll back patch 11815753 and I would get the error related to start not mounted.
Anyone has an idea on how to fix this?
Please re-read my previous posts. Apply the last PSU for 11.2.0.2.0, on the other, you may need to upgrade.
Take a look at this
Bug 11815753 is fixed at 11.2.0.2.5 and bug 11715084 is fixed at 11.2.0.2.9 power supply. I suggest you apply 11.2.0.2.9 PSU that it would contain the bug fixed in the preceding the PSU as well.

ThinkVantage has no options for creating backup and recover media?
Hi all, my T60p was to be brought back to the default state via R & R. Everything that is done, now I need to do a backup and rescue media, but my blue button doesn't show all of the options to do it either. I know that we are in a transition to updated, but how can I find the opportunity to do a backup and create rescue media?
TIA. Gordon
After reviewing your list, it seems that rescue and recovery is also absent with Client Security Solution
Are you sure that you have chosen a complete restoration and not an installation custom and left accidentally?
I would download and install R & R on the TVT site, this will hopefully solve the problem

I had to reset my PC & re - install FF without first using a manual backup of bookmarks. The reset process apparently retains all data files, but does not keep Apps. I hope I can do my new Firefox to the old bookmarks file and... Hey presto... I retrieve my favorites?
(Thanks in advance for your suggestions)The usual kind of reset in recent versions of Windows keeps your old user folder but it moving here:
C:\Windows.old\Users\your-user-name\
You will find this file? If so, your Firefox data are probably here - and here's how I suggest to access:
First of all, it would be useful to set windows to display the hidden files and folders. This article has the steps: http://windows.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/show-hidden-files
Then click in:
Username\AppData\Roaming\Mozilla\Firefox\Profiles C:\Windows.old\Users\
Note: you may find a cache under AppData\Local folder, but everything important is under AppData\Roaming.
Here you can find one or several folders named random semi. Who has most recently updated content is probably the one you want to restore from.
Bookmarks only
Go down the old bookmarkbackups folder and copy the last two backups in a location such as the desktop.
The restore feature will replace the bookmarks in Firefox by default (and what you added since the reset) with all like bookmarks. If you want preserve newly added bookmarks, use the first, export function before the restore, then the import function later. The following articles have details:
- Restore bookmarks from a backup or move them to another computer - to access backups on the desktop, use the command 'Choose file' menu
- (Optional) Import bookmarks to an HTML file
Success?
Complete restoration
This post has my suggested procedure to resurrect your old wide profile in your new installation of Firefox. Please note the use of the copy instead of move throughout the process. This allows you to try again if it fails somewhere along the way.

Satellite T110 - 10 X - blue screen when creating backup
I bought this netbook a week ago. First of all, I'm okay with windows 7 (home premium x 64-preinstalle) but in a few days, I loved. Yesterday, when I tried to make an image backup (for the first time) problem began.
1. in the creation of the back to the top (with a windows image), I received: unable to complete error - blue screen and the netbook does more.
2nd time same thing. Now, there are times when the computer enters answers do not mode there is a strange noise coming from the right of it (I don't know if his came from the speaker or elsewhere) but if his hearing only when the netbook stop responding... and the only solution is to restart (unplug or keep the power button down for 5 seconds)
before attempting to run this backup thing and receive blue screen dump, that sound never took place!
The mistake of relief can be fixed or should I reinstal of the new OS? * the netbook came with Windows 7 preinstalled
This sound is heard when it stops responding is normal? or do I have to pick up the netbook?Best regards
