create new profile palm, unknown, unknown password by e-mail

I bought an unlocked O2 Germany, Palm Pre 8 GB, in China.  Someone already has the Palm profile setup.  How to remove and create my own?

I can't believe that something like this exists, without the possibility to remove it.  Whoever originally created the profile could at ANY time, delete everything on my phone!  I don't know that I'm not the only person who had a palm pre, which has already been activated, new or used.

This completely bricked my phone and palm support can't help.  After the format, he stuck to create a palm profile, saying: "sign in failed".  My phone displays a roving symbol even if I am in the city where I bought the SIM card and have used it before without problems.  There is no way to activate WLAN and reps to palm support told me that the initial installation can be done on a 3 g network.

However after a reinstalled webdoctor, the phone works, same preware can be installed and run!

Firefox worked earlier today (August 19, 2013 6:30 pm EDT). When I opened Firefix after it IS 9, Firefox has attempted to perform an update. No error was given, but now Firefox does not start. Firefox IS working with Windows 8 in Mode safe (I got a message saying Firefox had not been closed properly) with a new profile. If I used an existing profile, Firefox would start and then close when I went to ANY website or any just not start. I shouldn't be no CRASH REPORT has been generated, just a code updated in the LASTCRASH file.

I have created a new profile, turned off all plugins, redonfigured my security suite of network to start automatically and restarted normally. When Windows came, I launched Firefox with the new profile, went to a few sites only to confirm it worked and then activated the security suite. No problems. I then reactivated some of my plug-ins. I had problems again when all the following plugins have been re-activated:

        -- Java Development Toolkit 7.0.250.16 10.25.2.16
        -- RealDownloader Plugin 16.0.2.32
        -- RealNetworks RealDownloader 1.3.2.28
        -- Shockwave for Director

With these off and the new profile, FIrefox is now working normally. Thank you!

  • BlackBerry smartphones cannot create new email address and the password are correct

Just transferred one of my domains hosting that I use for my other domain. Went to create an e-mail account for the 3 email addresses I had the BB under prior host. Removed the old accounts. Click Setup mail accounts, then other then entered the correct address and the correct password. Received message 'invalid address or password '. Not possible I installed these accounts on my PC and my IPad with no problems. It seems that BB won't accept any new domain name account that I transferred 10 days ago, can someone help me please? Thank you!

TCC - I THANK YOU first to respond to my situation and the second to be ON - it appears that you are an expert on the RIM! That was the problem - integration. Apparently my Blackberry account 'forgotten' about my domain name and had to be reinstated. I discovered by obtaining technical support for my carrier, AT & T and when they could not understand why the e-mail accounts could not be created, they transferred me to RIM. The first level of technology was also confused, but Nick and then of the immediately higher level of tech told me exactly what you have written here - same problem, same solution. CptS, thank you!

  • BlackBerry smartphones can not change 'Sounds for the selected profile' or create new ones

I can't change any of the other sounds in my profiles or create new profiles.  I can switch between them and change notifications as expected from fort to vibrate to silence.  When I select 'Sounds for the selected profile' I get a transition of the screen as he opens the new screen, but then disappears.  I tried to create a new one, but the new profile button and menu option do nothing.  I upgraded to 6.0.0.246 in hope, he could solve the problem, but it didn't.  Can I change the ringtone and sounds for contacts only.  When I arrived at the torch, I could change and I even created a new.  Any ideas?

  • All IT gurus out there who know Firefox... have lost the passwords saved when FF created a new profile and delete old files key3.dbf and logins.json profile.

All IT gurus out there who know Firefox... have lost the passwords saved when FF created a new profile and delete old files key3.dbf and logins.json profile. Any ideas, anyone?

    So it's not a logins.json file?

I see a signons3.txt file and a file signons.sqlite older, if you can try to see if you can import passwords stored in this file.

You can force Firefox to re-import the passwords in the file signons.sqlite and regenerate the file logins.json with the following steps:

    • reset the signon.importedFromSqlite pref on the topic: config page by default via the context menu
    • Delete the logins.json file in the closed Firefox with Firefox profile folder

When you restart Firefox, then you should have the pref signon.importedFromSqlite with the value set to true.
You have passwords that are imported in the password manager, unless there were errors or signons.sqlite signons3.txt.

You can open the topic: config page via the address bar.
You can accept the warning and click on "I'll be careful" to continue.

You can use this button to go to the current Firefox profile folder:

  • I copied the old file of passwords in the new profile, but do not see.

Got a new laptop. Copied the content from the old profile to new profile. Most of the old information are there (bookmarks), but I do not see the passwords. I repeated copying the two files key3db and logins.json specifically, but even the passwords saved on my old profile are not there...

Could you try again in a new profile and copy only the files logins.json and key3db?

Create a new profile as a test to see if your profile is the source of the problem.

    See "create a profile":

If the new profile works then you can transfer files from a profile already used in the new profile, but be careful not to copy files corrupted to avoid transporting more problems.

  • problems after upgrading firefox. reset this is ugly. created the new profile, but can not recover data from old profile.

I use firefox on a MacBook pro. Mac OS X version 10.7.5. There was an update of firefox on a day or 2 ago. Since this was done, I was getting 'syntax error' 5 times, each time that a page has been loaded. Some research has suggested that an application or a plug-in called "social fixer" might be the problem but I could not understand how to get rid of it so decided to try to reset Firefox. Minutes passed and a message was on the screen saying the old files of firefox have been been "cleaned" or something, but it seems to be 'stuck' because the progress bar was little jerky. Doesn't it usually doesn't. So I clicked on "Cancel". After that, I couldn't even firefox to start. Looks like my profile is unavailable or inaccessible. Following the instructions found on the support site, I created a new profile and I thought I copied the files from the previous firefox on the new profile, but when I run firefox, it's a blank slate. None of my bookmarks or passwords are there. It must be here somewhere, but I can't seem to understand.

Looks like there was a problem with updating the profiles.ini file.

You can try to remove the current profiles.ini file to force Firefox to create a new default profile where Firefox has not done that.
You can check if there is a profile folder with a number of attached time stamp and in this case, you can set the location of a profile created in this folder.

If you need to recover data from an older profile, always in the default location, or as a folder of old data of Firefox on the desktop then see:

  • Why under "user profile", I have 4 profiles named 'unknown profile '.

I have two user accounts on my computer that I put in place. One is an administrator account and the other is a standard account, which is one we use mainly. In user profiles are displayed both and I guess a third profile for the built in Administrator account. In addition to these 3, there are four different user profiles entitled 'unknown profile '. There could be a reason, they are there, maybe someone can tell me. It is not just that windows would create profiles and do not know whence they came. Is this a problem. If I do not need these 4 unknown profiles, I would like to remove them but it's hard when I don't know what they are

    Ron, welcome to the forum.

If you got to know that they are not necessary, I suggest log you in as administrator to remove.  I don't know that they will never cause problems, but who knows.  Everything that is not necessary on a computer shouldn't be there.

  • I can not even open FF because the profile is not found, even after using the profile in order to create a new profile.

I've recently upgraded to version 40 39.0.3. The first upgrade was not so I removed FF using the control panel (uninstall program). I reinstalled again, but I got the messages that FF was already running, etc. as other users have noticed. I open profiles (Open firefox.exe - p) and tried to open FF with the "default" profile that did not work. I created a new profile ("defaultuser") and FF open. (I have the box checked to use the new profile on startup). I have created FF as I wanted it, and then exit. When I started later FF, the profile is not found. The profile did not have the "defaultuser" profile, does not open with the "default" profile, but would a new profile must be created and FF to open and run. Quit FF and reopen produces the same sequence (profile not found, etc.) I uninstalled 40 and reinstalled version 39.0.3 and I have the same problems with this version (39.0.3), plus he's starting the upgrade to version 40, and soon as I complete the installation again. I uninstalled the 39.0.3/40 version and reinstalled 40 using the Profiles page to write this question.

I removed the version FF 40 using the Panel of control/uninstall. I deleted all the files that have been "* firefox *" and "* mozilla * ' (and there are some). I rebooted, and then reinstalled FF version 39.0.3. I could we FF immediately (without having to create a new profile). I have not had any problems with a bad certificate of Google, Yahoo, etc.. I went to all the web sites open very well. I could restart, then restart FF several times without problems or issues of certificate. Meanwhile, I made no changes to Kaspersky, and as far as I know, Kaspersky works as he usually does. I am almost sure that FF 40 version has a certificate problem that I can't fix. I'm less sure if the original upgrade to version FF 39.0.3 to 40.0.0 (then 40.0.2) played a role in my profile questions. Regardless, I have a version of FF that works and auto-updated to FF is off (and it will remain like that until I gather a few of this blog and other insurance which emits 40 FF are ironed out). I appreciate the help that you (and jscher200 in another thread) has attempted to provide. While the issues are not fixed, the thread can be closed.

  • Firefox has created a new profile on every launch, despite the change in the profile of the Manager.

I created multiple profiles in Firefox, but no matter how many tutorials, I followed online, it still does it. Also, I can not select the profiles that I created.

One possible cause is a problem with the file profiles.ini.

    • Windows: %AppData%\Mozilla\Firefox\
      C:\Users\ < user > < profile > \AppData\Roaming\Mozilla\Firefox\Profiles\.
    • Linux: ~/.mozilla/firefox/
    • Mac: ~/Library/Application Support/Firefox /.

You can use one of them to reuse an existing profile or create a new default profile for Firefox:

    • Remove the profiles.ini file to force Firefox to create a new default profile
    • Use the Profile Manager to create a new profile
Use "Choose a folder" when you create a new profile to select the location of a lost profile and recover this profile
  • Missing profile - cannot create new one - uninstalled FF - revenue W8.1 said earlier - already running when you try to re - install FF - many reboots VIPRE IS

original error was "already in the process of running FF" - not the view in the task manager - not could close - restarted several times - same results - uninstalled FF and tried the download & installation of new - same message "already running." W8.1 revenue by about 3 weeks (3 updates) - same result when installing FF = already "running." After the message "already running" is always the profile is missing or inaccessible.

Do the same thing with TB BTW. Using the latest version of VIPRE internet security on automatic update. Nothing like on a W7 and XP machine on the same LAN. Is there a virus on corrupting FF? Scan VIPRE says nothing about the machine of 8.1...

    See:

This is usually caused by a problem with the file profiles.ini and the profile marked as the default value = 1 in this file is no longer present on the hard drive.

    • Windows: %AppData%\Mozilla\Firefox\
      C:\Users\ < user > < profile > \AppData\Roaming\Mozilla\Firefox\Profiles\.
    • Linux: ~/.mozilla/firefox/
    • Mac: ~/Library/Application Support/Firefox /.

You can use one of them to make the Creation/use of a new default profile for Firefox:

    • Remove the profiles.ini file to force Firefox to create a new default profile
    • Use the Profile Manager to create a new profile
    • Use "Choose a folder" when you create a new profile to select the location of a lost profile and recover this profile

You can also restore bookmarks from a JSON backup in the folder bookmarkbackups.

  • Firefox crashes, impossible to create the new profile, reinstall does not work, can't get into safe mode

Whenever I try to open Firefox, it only open the crash reporter. When I press "Restart Firefox", it just opened another journalist to crash. I use a PC.

I tried all of the following characteristics, does not:

    1. reboot the computer
    2. system restore
    3. Uninstall and reinstall (done this several times)
4 remove the Firefox installation folder
    5. try to create a new profile / use the Profile Manager using "C:\Program Files\Mozilla Firefox\firefox.exe" - P, firefox.exe-p and firefox.exe - profilemanager - and all of this was, once again, open the crash reporter
6 safe mode - literally impossible even to open Firefox so I don't know how I could do that

I am at a loss. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

OK, if %AppData% does not lead you in the right place you can also manually navigate to the folder with incident reports (you may need to turn on the display of the first hidden files). It is located in C:\Users\ < your user name > \AppData\Roaming\Mozilla\Firefox\Crash Reports\submitted...

  • Firefox stop working and I can't even open the profile page to create another profile and start the migration to a new profile, what to do now?

I can't get firefox to respond - even to open. I tried the suggestion of support for the creation of a new profile, but the instructions are not working anymore so I can't create a new profile and test the system. I don't want to lose my info saved thanks to a re - install if I'm not even sure that it will work - if the data is corrupted. whatever that means.

    At a stand still...

BTW - since I have to use IE even access this info I can't find the troubleshooting information below. It gets ridiculously more complicated that I never wanted him.

Some Firefox problems can be solved by performing a clean reinstall. This means that you remove Firefox program files, and then reinstall Firefox and won't lose bookmarks and history. Please follow these steps:

    1. Download the latest version of Firefox from http://www.mozilla.org office and save the installer to your computer.
    2. Once the download is complete, close all Firefox Windows (click on quit in the file menu or Firefox).
    3. Remove the Firefox installation folder, which is located in one of these locations, by default:
      • Windows:

        • C:\Program Files\Mozilla Firefox
        • C:\Program Files (x 86) \Mozilla Firefox
      • Mac: Delete Firefox in the Applications folder.
      • Linux: If you have installed Firefox with the distribution-based package manager, you must use the same way to uninstall: see Install Firefox on Linux. If you have downloaded and installed the binary package from the Firefox download page, simply remove the folder firefox in your home directory.
    4. Now, go ahead and reinstall Firefox:
      1. Double-click on the downloaded Setup file and go through the steps in the installation wizard.
      2. Once the wizard is completed, click to open Firefox directly after clicking the Finish button.

Please report back to see if this helped you!
