Create the error ORA-04021: timeout period exceeded while waiting to lock object

Hello

I get the following error when I try to deploy the mapping.
Create the error ORA-04021: timeout period exceeded while waiting to lock object.
I use OWB 10.2.0.4.36

All the world is facing this problem? Kindly help me in this regard.

Thank you
Siva

Hi Siva,

It's probably a blocking problem.

Select "alter system kill session"'"
|| TO_CHAR (l.session_id)
|| ','
|| to_char(s.Serial#)
|| '''; ' kill_session
o.object_name
l.oracle_username
l.os_user_name
|| Chr (10)
|| '('
|| s.Terminal
|| ')' os_user_name
v $ session s
, v$ locked_object l
dba_objects o
where s.sid = l.session_id
and l.object_id = o.object_id
/

The above should give you the session id

Then use SYSTEM account to kill the session
alter system kill session "";

Thank you
Fati

    Hello guys,.

    I need emergency aid to comlete an upgrade to ebs 12.1.1 to 12.1.3.

    We are to modernize ebs 11i to 12i will live this weekend. We met "ORA-04021: timeout exceeded while waiting to lock object" on patch 9239090 with two workers:

    In adctrl:

    1. run AutoPatch R120 AFUTLGRS.pls failed

    2. run AutoPatch R120 AFUTLOGS.pls failed

    Connected.

    create or replace package wf_bes_cleanup AUTHID CURRENT_USER as

    *

    ERROR on line 1:

    ORA-04021: timeout period exceeded while waiting to lock object

    I did everything imaginable, but can not get pass these 2 workers failed.

    (1) I checked there is no lock blocking on all objects:

    Select s1.username. '@' || S1.machine

    || ' (SID =' | s1.sid | block him ') '

    || S2. UserName | '@' || S2.machine | ' (SID =' | s2.sid |) ') ' AS blocking_status

    v $ lock l1, v$ session s1, v$ lock l2, s2 of v$ session

    where s1.sid = l1.sid and s2.sid = l2.sid

    and l1. BLOCK = 1 and l2.request > 0

    and l1.id1 = l2.id1

    and l2.id2 = l2.id2;

    (2) I also checked and there is space in the database.

    (3) adctrl, I tried to restart the positions one by one, but the worker 1 crashes at and fails finally on several attempts (12).

    4) the solution on Doc ID 1291064.1 is not the problem:

    SQL > select SUPPLEMENTAL_LOG_DATA_MIN, SUPPLEMENTAL_LOG_DATA_PK, SUPPLEMENTAL_LOG_DATA_UI, FORCE_LOGGING

    database of v$.

    SUP SUP SUBSECTIONS FOR

    -------- --- --- ---

    NO NO NO NO

    (5) enforcement of manual still gives ORA-04021:

    sqlplus s APPS/apps @/u02/applfinp/apps/apps_st/appl/admin/OFPROD/out/p001invok.sql

    sqlplus s APPS/apps @/u02/applfinp/apps/apps_st/appl/admin/OFPROD/out/p002invok.sql

    (6) the alerts log has no related errors

    (7) I finally, after more than 6 hours of waiting, I could only get the patch to continue after using the adctrl option 8 to ignore these two workers.

    After the procedure, I struck still more than two errors and now stuck:

    I hit another error with the same patch:

    The package was in use. There are two ways to find the person who uses a package at a given time.

    You can join v$ session to dba_ddl_locks or you can use v$ acess but you can see who is running the package. The code cannot be recompiled, while the code is running.

  • 'CREATE JAVA' error: ORA-29506: derived from the USING clause invalid query

    Hello

    I created a table with the following attributes:

    name varchar2 (200);
    LOB_DATA blob

    I loaded a java source file in the lob_data blob.

    I then called the SQL:

    create or replace and compile the java source named "RemoteCommand" using blob
    Select lob_data from str_blob_table where name = 'RemoteCommand.java ';

    and I get the error:

    ORA-29506: invalid query from the USING clause
    ORA-00936: lack of expression
    29506 00000 - "query invalid derived from USING clause.
    * Cause: The USING clause does not form a valid query.
    * Action: Correct the USING clause.

    If I simply copy and paste the query part of the USING clause:

    Select lob_data from str_blob_table where name = 'RemoteCommand.java ';

    I get a valid result in SQLDeveloper.

    Any thoughts on what is happening here?

    A few notes:
    1. it is a 8i database.
    2. it works very well on a 9i database, but according to the SQL reference for 8i, it should work as well.

    Thank you
    Brent

    Try to delete "select" in the USING clause, that is to say change the SELECT BLOB SUPPORT... for BLOB to HELP... The original form of the syntax of JAVA to CREATE did not expect the SELECT token must be explicitly provided. Somewhere between 8i and 9i the parser was changed to try the provided text as well as what, with SELECT prefixed. So a CREATE JAVA statement you tried working in 9i but in 8i fails because SELECT would always be added before you try using the clause as a query, resulting a SELECT duplicate token.

  • has received the error ORA-44416: invalid ACL, while trying to enable network services

    Hi guys I got the ERROR ORA-44416 after the activation of services network in 11 GR 2 to send emails, so I ran this command found just as shown below in the Oracle document library

    SELECT THE ACL, PRINCIPAL

    OF NACL, XDS_ACE ACE DBA_NETWORK_ACLS

    WHERE HOST = ' *' AND LOWER_PORT IS NULL AND UPPER_PORT IS NULL AND

    NACL. ACLID = ACE. ACLID AND

    ARE NOT (SELECT NULL FROM ALL_USERS WHERE USERNAME = MAIN);

    That returned a result of

    no selected line

    What could this mean

    The installation is done on a localhost and the APEX version is 4.2.2 browser is mozilla fire fox

    ORA-44416 means that the ACL that you tried to create to refer to a valid principle - that is, the user does not exist.

    The SQL code that you included above seems to be looking for associated ACL principles which are more database users. I don't see a direct link between this request and the ORA-44416.

    What was your original script of ACL?

    Also, because it is a question of database rather APEX you might get a better answer on the forums of the database.

  • How to create the listener.ora file

    Hi all

    My emca start dbconsole... successful because I do not have in network/admin listener.ora. My interlocutor only runs on the default config

    I can't run gui netca bacause I connect only remotely using PuTTY.

    I meet emca error before and it is just resolved when I created lisnter.ora, so I want to try it.

    I doubt that listener.ora was the cause.

    Although experience is a better teacher.

    No, trying to find the cause of a problem is a better teacher, just try things at random - it's a good way to teach you things like "emctl start dbconsole does not work without a listener.ora", which is clearly false.

    Once start emca

    The command is not 'emca,' maybe that's your problem.

    We don't know, because you have not copied/pasted something here, including the error message

  • Any suggestions on the elimination of the error ORA-01417?

    Just a question here. I'm developing a workbook in Discoverer Plus. I get a message ORA-01417 - a table can be external joined as another table. Just trying to see if there is a way to eliminate this error message. What I do is the following. I join table PA_EXPENDITURE_ITEMS_ALL to PA_EXPENDITURES_ALL. It is a standard join. Detail exists in master. Then I join PA_EXPENDITURES_ALL to PER_ALL_EMPLOYEES_F. Since I have a lot of spending on projects that aren't payroll/labor partner, my id of the person spending all the table is often null. This particular join must be an outer join, where I want to go back the detail that corresponds to a master document and detail that does not match. So far, nothing unusual there. The problem is that an employee may have multiple records in the employee file. Which would give me the detail data duplicate lines when I do not have a match, which would be bad. So what I do is to add a condition to test the article date of expenditure between the employee effective start date and the date of actual end of the employee. It is a condition that I add to the workbook. There is NO join defined between PA_EXPENDITURE_ITEMS_ALL and PER_ALL_EMPLOYEES_F. But what does the discoverer is when it generates the SQL, is to put the symbol of outer join on this condition. That does not seem logical, why he would do this. After all, I'm having some retail spending with no record of employee for them. So I have to have a way to deal with situations of nowhere. In any case, when I added this condition and try to refresh the workbook when I get the message ORA-01417. So I did some playing. I realized that if I build a condtion like that - AND ei.expenditure_item_date BETWEEN nvl(per.effective_start_date,ei.expenditure_item_date-1) AND nvl (per.effective_end_date, ei.expenditure_item_date + 1)
    then manually running a SQL query, I get good results. When I create this condition in discoverer, discoverer always ends by adding the symbol of the left outer join and I always get my message ORA-01417. Does anyone know of a sneaky way to keep discoverer of the addition of this symbol of outer join on my condition when discoverer built its SQL statement? I hope that I have explained the situation pretty well. Always a challenge to adequately describe a question.

    John Dickey

    Hello

    The error ORA-01417 is a restriction of the database rather than an a discoverer. If you get wrong this discoverer entirely in. Here are some things you can do:

    1. you can set a condition:

    Nvl (per.effective_start_date, ei.expenditure_item_date) AND nvl(per.effective_end_date,ei.expenditure_item_date) OR ei.expenditure_item_date BETWEEN EI.expenditure_item_date BETWEEN nvl(per.effective_start_date,ei.expenditure_item_date) AND nvl(per.effective_end_date,ei.expenditure_item_date)

    GOLD tells discoverer an outer join cannot be used, and it is why the sign (+) will not be added. This is not a real outer join but might work, as the dates are never null in the per_all_employees_f table.

    2. you can create a folder complex, combining the fields you wanted two tables PA. Then outer join this folder to the employee record, including the date of track conditions.

    3. If you only want the name of the employee in the per_all_employees_f table, and then you could implement a search function to translate the person_id in name of the employee. The function could be brought from the workbook so no join would be necessary. You might have to cache the result in the output function.

  • What deletion XMLSchema received the error ORA-04022 no waiting asked, but had to wait to lock the dictionary objects

    I recorded a XMLschem in the Oracle XDB repository to load the XML file into the oracle tables using storage relational object. I've waited 2-3 days and then retried still had the same error.

    Could you please help me to solve this problem.

    Is it possible to reproduce the problem?

    You have a table that references the schema?

    Check with your DBA if there is no locking assets library.

    ORA-00001 means table a unique/primary key / index and you attempt to insert a row with the key value already exists in the table. I'll assume table has a primary key on COUNTRY_ID. Then modify SQL for:

    SQL = "INSERT INTO COUNTRIES (COUNTRY_ID, COUNTRY_NAME, REGION_ID) SELECT"BZ","BLZ", 3 DOUBLE WHERE DOES NOT EXIST (SELECT 1 FROM COUNTRIES WHERE COUNTRY_ID ="BZ").

    There is a good chance COUNTRY table also has unique key/index on COUNTRY_NAME. If so use:

    SQL = "INSERT INTO COUNTRIES (COUNTRY_ID, COUNTRY_NAME, REGION_ID) SELECT"BZ","BLZ", 3 DOUBLE WHERE DOES NOT EXIST (SELECT 1 FROM COUNTRIES WHERE COUNTRY_ID = 'BZ' OR 'BLZ' = COUNTRY_NAME).

    Destination of archive D:\app\kamdarvg\flash_recovery_area\test\ARCHIVELOG
