Hi all, we have a request for creation of 1000 + users. I have excel sheet with user name, responsibility. Can anyone provide the best solution for this problem. Who can help us create everything in the distance with less effort.

Follow now the questions that I am facing is:
(1) after all this when I could connect this user through Toad, she is successful, but through SQL, it says invalid username and password
(2) whenever I create a table, it is created in the SYS schema not in the schema of the user created in the schema user, I have right username.tablename also in the statement select.

Any body can help me in this.
A TOAD, there is a drop down list of 'CONNECT AS' with 'NORMAL', 'SYSOPER' and 'SYSDBA' values

If you select SYSDBA, connect you effectively as SYS and you create all the objects are created in the SYS schema.

SQLPlus default connection normally (except if you explicitly add "AS SYSDBA" to your connection).

I have a database of cloned... when I'm lance the emca command (drop or recreate) it takes old path of the instance to the location of the log...

1. I want to set the location of the log of the current cloned instance.

Setting default usr_locale breaks the creation of the user of the Web console.

Yes, I tried to reproduce this in our last installation, all connected to the top (11.1.2.2.4). Works well.

In the old version (11.1.2.2.0), the Notification.Languages search is like this:

BTW, I read somewhere that this warning can be resolved by setting the attribute of the value in the field regional settings on the user's page to create

If you are referring to the list of users defined in the system, you can make the application (responsible for system administration > Security > user > set) or by sending 'Active users' simultaneous. Since the backend, you can query the FND_USERS table.

If your contact is logged on as administrator, then he or she can create a new user account. If you don't want someone else to create a new user account, you can then create a standard account for them, in this way, they will not have the privilege to create a new user account.

According to my understanding, surpassing the number of users speciied in EGGS will not raise any errors. However, given that the product has been tested with some settings for optimum performance, exceeding the specified limit is not recommended and very probably is not supported by the TAC in the case of any performance issues.

You must manually set the following:

The ORACLE_BASE environment variable must be set accordingly.

The ORACLE_HOME environment variable points to the new 11.2.0 Oracle home.

The PATH environment variable includes $ORACLE_HOME/bin and the directory where the new perl executable is located (usually $ORACLE_HOME/perl/bin).

The LD_LIBRARY_PATH environment variable includes $ORACLE_HOME/lib.

The $perl5lib environment variable points to the directory where the new perl libraries (usually $ORACLE_HOME/perl/lib / [perl version] and $ORACLE_HOME/perl/lib/site_perl / [perl version])

So, here's what you need to do:

-Open a new terminal

-Env variables set as follows:

$ export ORACLE_BASE =

$ export ORACLE_HOME =

$ export PATH = $ORACLE_HOME/bin: $PATH

$ export LD_LIBRARY_PATH = $ORACLE_HOME/lib

$ export $perl5lib =

Once you set the env variables, issue "env | ranking"to check.

And, "what sqlplus" should be referred to the $11.2.0.4 ORACLE_HOME/bin/sqlplus

How to get more information about the users in oracle 11g
Hi all

I need to know more information on users in oracle 11g.

1. how to check when user times last connection to the database.
2. If the user account is blocking why it is blocked? If it is locked trying Loing with wrong password how to check how many times he tried with wrong password... and other reasons also
3 reaction strives to select user expire date is to show the value empty... we can check expire date by querys or we need to check the profile?
4. how to check while he was reset his password, the last time.

I want to put some users in Oracle DB using sqlplus but I get the error message:

SQL > test DROP USER CASCADE;.

ORA-01940: cannot delete a user who is currently logged on

But when I ran under control for connected sessions I get no results:

SQL > select sid, serial # of the v session $ where username = 'test ';

no selected line
Please help me how to remove users from this case.

User names, like all other objects in the database, are case-sensitive when City as strings. Try this variation on your code:

select sid,serial# from v$session where username = 'TEST';

2. when I post the asset in adding mass Post

Dr. depreciation asset costs USD 1 037
Asset Clearing $ 1, 037 CR

My question is why the depreciation in debet charges? not asset cost (acquisition cost)?

you're right, the entries you view is incorrect, make sure that you do not use no matter what generator account or SLA rules to override how the accounting is done in default way...
the entries are created in the below mode normally...

(1) in accounts payable, when you create an invoice for the asset...

Debit asset xxx compensation account
Credit AP video conferencing account xxx

(2) assets, when complete you the process of adding mass and the asset is created successfully, you must perform create the accounts for the operation, the system generated entry would be...

Debit the account of the COST of the Asset xxxx
Credit account assets xxxx compensation

(3) asset, when you run depreciation during month-end system would generate below entries...

Debit account XXXX amortization expenses
Credit account accumulated depreciation xxxx
