  To set printing preferences. Click on the ORB start and select the devices and printers. Right-click on your printer and click Printing Preferences. Locate the Advanced button in the lower right of the new window and click on it. Locate printing in grayscale option and set it to black ink only. Let us know if that helps.

  Make sure that automatic duplex printing accessory is turned on in the settings of the printer and try to print again:

  Enter the control panel > devices and printers.
  Right-click the printer icon, and then click printer properties.
  Click the device settings tab.
  As installed in Duplex Automatic Two-Sided accessory and then click OK to save the changes.

  I believe, with this model, you can continue printing with inks has expired. That being said, if you replace only the black ink and continue to print with others (expired), it should be fine.

  Here's what I could find on the subject:

  Each ink cartridge has an expiration date to protect the printing system and ensure a good quality ink. The cartridge expiration date appears on line 53 of the free test report.

  Follow the instructions below to install the driver for 990c for printing on the server.

  1. open devices and printer

  2. click on add a printer

  3. click Add a local printer

  4. from the use existing port, select the USB option and then click Next

  5. click the button of Windows Update to get all the support window 7 drivers updated

  6. once the update is complete. Click HP from the menu on the left, then select the printer Deskjet 990c in the right menu, and then click Next.

  7. follow the remaining instructions to complete the installation.

  Once you have the printer added 990c make sure it is the default printer, and then try to print on your printer Photosmar C4780 using this driver. I would like to know if you have the same problem?

  I bought the printer HP Deskjet 1512 today. I established in accordance with the instruction manual and also installed the data CD. However, when I go to print, I get a message the next door. This obiovusly keeps me to print, I also tried to copy that does not work! I tried closing and open all the doors and the withdrawal / re - insert the ink, but nothing don't seem to do the trick.

  I see that you are having problems with your new printer HP Deskjet 1512. I'd be happy to help you and don't forget to come back to this thread and check "Accept as Solution", if I have successfully helped solve you the problem.

  The HP Deskjet 1512, has two doors at the front. the inner door is the door of access to transport and other is the output tray.

  If you can see the inside of the printer where the cartridges are the transport access door is open and must be closed.

  Thanks for asking this question to Microsoft Community. I'll try and help you resolve the problem; However, I will need to ask you a few questions.

  The printer worked fine before the show? Do you have any security program installed on the computer? Have you done a recent software or changes to the material on the computer?

  Here is a link with a FIXIT who helps solve the programs which have not installed or uninstalled.

  You can also try the steps and check if it helps.

  Check and make sure that the Windows service install is running on the computer.

  (a) click Start, click Run and then type services.msc and press ENTER to open Services.

  (b) right click on the Windows Installer service and then click Properties.

  (c) if the startup type box is set to disabled, change it to manual.

  (d) click on OK to close the Properties window.

  (e) right click on the Windows Installer service and then click Start. The service should start without errors.

  (f) click on the file menu and then click on exit.

  I have a color printer that works super slow when the cable is connected. UN cable network and you can go through the menu as usual. When the cable is connected, the configuration of the port said disconnected on the confg page. When you unplug the network cable the port configuration shows full of 1000 t. seems the opposite of what it should be. I have reset the switch, tried a different cable and a different port on the network switch.

  Do you think the NETWORK card / motherboard is bad and two what would be the port speed if the network switch 10 / 100 / 1000?

  My problem was a small box not checked. The PIP networked to other settings.

  Works now.

  I see you have some problems with the backup after the scanning of your Deskjet 3050 10 Windows PC. I can help you with that.

  First of all, make sure that the printer is plugged directly into a wall outlet , not a surge protector. Once this is done, we will execute printing HP and the Scan Doctor by clicking on this link.
