Creation of a 'smart' to the front channel output

Hi all

I do not use that much of strings and I got myself in a coding which seems to be a bit beyond my skills at the moment.

Let me explain. At this moment I have a table 1 d of channels. Each string refers to an error with a sensor. If there is no error, the string is simply an empty space (the strings were generated in MATLAB and imported in LabVIEW. To set an empty string in MATLAB, I did just something like: error = ' ')

Currently, the strings are very generic and do not specify sensor who they want. I would like to change that by introducing a kind of data for these labels. (I considered to be one of the possibilities are import to a spreadsheet with the labels file in a column and saw the data converted into a table 1 d of channels, or something like that. Looks like there should be several ways to do this and I'm open to all solutions really.)

What I would do, is match these two sets together, and if there is no error, then the rank would disappear since the two bays. Ideally I would also merge the two tables so that I have a label followed what is the error for the release of this label on the front panel.

There may be an easier way to do all that I have not looked at. As I said, I'm open to any suggestion. But basically, I want to display only the sensors that actually have errors associated with them.

If I understand correctly what you want well, here's a solution (see attached png). The loop For traverses the berries and produces an output of strings table. If the error string is empty then nothing is added to the array of results. If the error string is not empty, then the error string is the concatenated string Label and the result is added to the table on this. For the figures provided, the output array would have 4 entries:

Name of the sensor 1 1 error

Name of the sensor 2 2 error

Name of the sensor 3 3 error

Name of the sensor 4 4 error

  • Select the physical channels of front panel

    Hi all

Currently, I am trying to build an execuatble file which is dummy proof and has variations of the application is available.  I'm currently trying to give the user the opportunity to select the physical channels of the façade, through a group of check boxes or buttons... etc.  Then I have an array of strings containing all the names of the channels. I tried to run it through a loop with a structure of business inside and what false, the column of the table would be removed.  Instead, I get a blank table column, what does not work when he goes to the node of the active channel.

So in short, how can I remove this column of the table in a loop for?

Here's a picture of something ive been trying.

Or is there an easier way to call from the front channels, im all ears.

  • How to add a record button on the front panel to save waveform data

Hi, I'm new kind of LabVIEW and I worked on a code for an agilent oscilloscope communicate via GPIB and so far it works well on the collection of these two analog channels one by one, "Not UNLIMITED" but it does the trick (vpp, Vrms, frequency, etc.).  I've added the feature to add data to a .csv file waveform (problem: opens a dialog box until the user gathers all the data.) Solution: I want the user to save the. File CSV whenever he wants to use later on the front panel). I've added another feature to get a snapshot of the curve waveform (problem: opens a dialog box.) Solution: I want the user to save the JPEG file, whenever he wants to take a snapshot ("take snapshot" button on the front panel)).  I work with the agilent hp54645d driver. I have attached my code, if someone can tell me please how do I do this (maybe cabling and structures are solutions do not know). Thank you in advance.

I would recommend adding a case structure just around the two record VI and a button to check the condition of the structure of each case. If you want a button to control both save functions you can put the two record functions in the same structure of business controlled by a single button. You are right in saying that the loop will cause your code runs until the stop button is pressed or until the stop condition is met. If you are wanting the while loop to stop once the recorded information you can use the button that you use to control structures case to also stop the while loop. I hope this information helps.

  • Select the analog channels by custom names

    Hello friends of the Forum,

    My stuff:

    LabView 2009 SP1

    Windows 7

I am rewriting code of LV7 LabView with the 2009 version.  The old code has a vi called "IA waveform scan.vi" and it allows the user to specify the DAQ hardware and also select channels by simply enumerating as numbers (0,1,2,5,6 etc.) in a channel of the front input box.  I understood how to create something similar to 2009 using daqmx channel, but I list the channels like this: dev1\ai1, dev1\ai2, etc.  Is it possible to choose a figure like LV7?  From what I've read, I think it is, but I have been unable to make it work.  Thank you.

    dZack

I understand your question, but I don't understand why a list with ai1, ai2, ai0, etc., is so difficult to understand. In any case, its easy to convert numeric values Plains actual channel names. The format based on the string seems appropriate. You must create an array of channel numbers. A string is an acceptable entry in the DAQmx Create Channel function.

  • How to disable together them on the front panel lights

I have a VI that the front panel is shown below where an indicator of the chain is having a problem. The witness here shows the value "Please save the value of Temp Air [C]".

    Problem

When the indicator is clicked on in the front panel the text box becomes 'editable' in appearance (only) and I did not want this

    Question

How to eliminate the behavior stated below in the second picture, when the indicator also displays editable? How can I simply leave the system in a State of photography ?

  • Configure the second channel of TDS 2012 scope

    Howdy,

Our laboratory has recently acquired a range of Tektronix TDS2012 dual channel and I'm getting so he can play nice with Labview 8.5. I downloaded the plug-and-play drivers and the accompanying screw sample without problem. I connected the scope via a GPIB-USB-HS adapter. PC running Win2k.

The screws of the sample and some of my creations seem to be great with the exception of a question to work. I can't for the life of me get the vertical scale on the second channel to do what I want. When I use "Example VI" of the driver and set the Volts/Div to anything for a reading of CH2, changes the CH1 setting (?), it does indeed read CH2. I can't find where I could adjust the parameters of CH2 regardless... the vi "Set up display" seems to be independent channel.

    Any thoughts?

    Hi Matt,

I just downloaded the Tektronix TDS 200 1000 2000 project series Style Driver of instruments here, and there is no screws with the word "vertical" in them.  To make sure that you use the style of the project pilot, go to C:\Program NIUninstaller Instruments\LabVIEW 8.5\instr.lib\Tektronix TDS 200 1000 2000 series and confirm that there is a file of Tektronix TDS 200 1000 2000 Series.lvproj it and that the screws are in folders, not a Bachelor's degree in law.  The VI that you will use to configure the vertical range is Set up Channel.VI.  Pay close attention to the VI and control documentation.

    See you soon,.

  • Outsourcing of the controls on the front panel for a panel floating Subvi

    Hello!

I already found a few similar topics, but I still don't know which is the best way to solve my problem. I will try to describe my problem in detail first: I have a main VI that acquires data from a device and displays these data in a large waveform graph. I have also a few controls on the front panel to control my device. First, I placed all of these device controls (digital, sliders, etc.) as well as the chart inside the front of my main VI. However, due to limited screen space now I would like to make the largest possible graph and so decided to "outsource" some controls out of the main façade of VI to several panels front-end Subvi.

I would then press a button in my main VI and it would open the Panel before the floating of the Sub - VI corresponding with outsourced controls when required. However, everything must be absolutely transparent. It is important that floating panels to run in parallel with my main VI, that is the main VI must continue to operate. That way I'll have my data constantly updated in the chart in my main VI while I can change some settings of the device through the controls placed in my SubVIs. These changes will be immediately applied (for example as soon as the main VI calls this slot - VI in its main loop).

It is important to the visibility of the outsourced optional control panel, i.e. If the Subvi front panel opens with the user that it will pop up and the user will be able to change the paramers device using the. But then the user should be able to close the front panel (hide) the Subvi to see the entire chart again without the Panel floating in front of her (of course control values must be maintained when the Subvi front is not visible). Then the new button is pressed in the main VI that opens the dialog box not modal Subvi containing controls and it can redefine new values of device.

Advice how to do this are welcome. I don't know if I need something complex like VI server or asynchronous screws or I can solve my problem by changing some settings simple Subvi? Thank you in advance for your help!

    Best regards

    Anguel

How about using a global variable for the VI at VI communication instead of a queue?

A global variable will, also.  Write you in one place and read the value frequently to somewhere else (in the election). So you can see easily to any value change.  However, mark will waste a lot of time processor.  This is why I have proposed to use a queue or a notification utility.

    AStankov wrote:

Would be the last option that you mentioned, i.e. finish the Subvi at each change of value, I would keep the Subvi front open as needed until things from the user to hide? Or would there be inevitable flickering Panel or any other drawbacks?

Yes, the Subvi can keep the façade open until the user closes. And there should be no flickering.  The biggest drawback I see right now is that when you expect an event in the Subvi, the mainVI cannot stop without talking to the Subvi to stop.  So you'll need another channel of communication (again a global, a queue, a declarant or an event) to tell the Subvi that she must stop.

  • Running on the front panel log

I think the creation of a newspaper running on the front of my VI.  This is bascially an indicator of the chain.   Whenever I write for it in my VI, the indicator will keep to what is out there and write on the next line.  To do this, I think on the use of a register shift to preserve what is the indicator and continue to add to it.

    Is this the best approach?

    Yik

    ... Since we exchange ideas...

I had set up something similar to what SMercurio described, except that I used an ActionEngine.  This allowed me to keep a log of all the subvi simply by "drop"the ActionEngine. "  It has additional functionality to enable / disable logging, select a file/folder, etc.  Worked very well.

  • Error when changing the language of the front panel in Japanese

    Hello world...

I'm changing the front panel of the English language to Japanese. To do this, first I exported the strings through the Tools->Advanced-> export channels.  After that I changed one of the label in Japanese and saved with Unicode encoding (as with normal ASCII coding Japanese texts will not be read). I imported the same file I recorded in a Unicode encoding format. But it shows that the error given below

"Error analysis during the import of channels

    "Saturday, November 28, 2015 11:09:14.

(See the attached screenshot of error)

So I tried to import the same file ASCII coding mmee, then it is successful. But the problem is that the modified label is not in Japanese that it shows a few points mark. I'm able to import the channel file saved in ASCII format code but the channel with coding ASCII file will not read Japanese texts. So please help me to solve this problem.

I need to import a channel file saved with a Unicode encoding or in any case format to enable Japanese texts as ASCII coded format.

I modified the configuration settings to activate the Unicode format as follows "UseUnicode = TRUE'." I'm using Labview 2014.

    Thank you...

My requirement is to change the language of the labels on the front. Is it possible to export the settings of the legend and label parameters separately? Currently, I am only able to export the two together. Also when I import the unicode file that does not contain unicode characters, it shows the same error.

Perhaps the requirement is statesd as such because the people who wrote the requirement had no idea, you can keep the labels even but change the subtitles only.  Changing labels is a massive effort that could have profound ramifications to the code itself.  Not the same with a legend.

  • Is there a more efficient way to use the visible property node to make the inactive/hiding controls on the front?

I just inherited the labview code to run a system of imaging optics mamography.

It has 32 sources 128 detectors and 2 games of light and the user has the possibility to control the parameters of gain for each sensor to each source for each source of wavelengths, so as you can imagine there are a lot of orders and LEDs on the front panel.

The user also has the possibility to choose the number of sources and that they would like to use detectors.  v: * {behavior:url(#default#VML) ;} O'Bryan: * {behavior:url(#default#VML) ;} w\: * {behavior:url(#default#VML) ;} .shape {behavior:url(#default#VML) ;}}}} Normal 0 false false false MicrosoftInternetExplorer4 / * Style Definitions * / table. Depending on how many sources are entered labview code through a loop For which in fact a 'smooth box' visible or invisible, on the adjustment of gain control depending on whether the current detector is greater than the seizure of the number by the user.  This loop slows down the program because it works 128 times (max number of detectors) and has 4 structures deal (2 sets of wavelengths, 2 for each breast) with 64 nodes of property each where it is visible property to enabled or disables the box with that covers the detectors.

I was wondering if there was an easier way to enable or disable controls for unused detectors, not only that slows down the program but to reconfigure the data to use more sources, I stop the program and restart it.

Any advice on the creation of a dynamic front would be appreciated

When released the 64 bit version of Firefox to the main channel? I thought it was supposed to be released when version 39 came out, but I must have been confused.

No version passed was a guarantee of having Win64 for liberation, but more of an opportunity or that there has been speculation that Win64 builds on the beta channel from 37.0b2 build target.

I guess you mean the Win64 (64-bit for Windows) and not on Mac OSX and Linux built which has 64-bit commercial for Firefox 4.0 versions both because easier to do and that it.

If all goes well the Firefox 41.0 will be the first version to have Win64 rests alongside the 32 bit Windows builds.

Win64 version was planned no version of Firefox. Then, on short notice for a brief period of a few weeks before Fx 40.0 version Mozilla thought to Win64 Fx 40.0 release but was changed to 41.0 Fx.

Two things of note for versions of Firefox Win64 starting 41,0 + release. Only 64-bit Flash Player is white listed to run in Firefox Win64. Seconed we need 64-bit Windows 7, 8.x and 10 as the 64-bit Windows XP, Vista and server cannot run Win64 builds from Firefox 37.0 + development relies.
