Creation of ComboBox in Blackberry

How to create a dropdown list in blackberry?

I want that list drop-down box to appear in the upper right of the screen of my blackberry.

Here's how to create a menu drop-down...

ObjectChoiceField myGroupList = new ObjectChoiceField ('my groups', choiceItems, 0, ObjectChoiceField.FIELD_RIGHT);

The problem is im not getting the drop down right instead, it appears in the Center, and it does not appear as a drop-down list. Looks like just a word on the screen.

Can someone help me out of this problem... ??

Thanks in advance

Maybe try something like this:

(I don't have access to my dev environment while posting, so it cannot compile)

HorizontalFieldManager objectChoiceMgr = new HorizontalFieldManager (Field.FIELD_RIGHT);

ObjectChoiceField myGroupList = new ObjectChoiceField ('my groups', choiceItems, 0, ObjectChoiceField.FIELD_RIGHT);

objectChoiceMgr.add (myGroupList);

Add (objectChoiceMgr);

  • Creation of ComboBox with the values of the fields

    Hey everyone, it's been a while since my last post.

    I spent some time trying to fill a ComboBox with the values of the 3 fields of different form of google and I was wondering if someone could tell me on common sense.

    Thanks a lot for any idea!

    the general idea would be something like this:

    Get added to a table field values

    var aItems = [];

    aItems.push (getField("Text1").valueAsString);

    aItems.push (getField("Text2").valueAsString);

    aItems.push (getField("Text3").valueAsString);

    Fill the drop-down list with the elements box

    getField("combo1").setItems (aItems);

    Replace domain names with real field names that you use.

    You can start the list with an element that is a single space (if it appears empty) or something like "- select -". You can also make sure you add all the duplicate entries, which would happen if all the field values are the same.

    DTSTART / dtend aren't in milliseconds, it is in the format of date (apparently).  27 05-2013 FOR EXAMPLE... (YYYY-MM-DD HH).

    Move forward in point 10.2 we will support 'beginTime' and 'end' as an extra long.

    However is it possible where xml schema can be used from xslt/xsd and it may be analyzed to generate xml data with data to fill the Message class in accordance with the business logic.

    Please suggest

    What would you win? in my opinion this isn't a valid usecase for xslas you must complete all the values manually in any case.

  • BlackBerry Z10 GMAIL account only for access to the calendar creation

    I wanted to ask you members of the jury if they had experience with this, before I ruin my Z10.

    I need to access a Google Calendar and pour the contents in my calendar on the Z10 constantly updated. Otherwise, I use the software Link with USB with Outlook 10 and use the account of BBLink calendar on my device. Right now I do not link Gmail with my Z10 and I do not want.

    As I tried to put in place, it seems that Google wants to access my camera, put in place an e-mail account, synchronize my contacts. I stopped the installation program and do not advance.

    I have the leaked OS 10.2.0.1371, which is awesome, BTW and I add option subscribed calendar in add them new account settings, but I have been unable to do so after I tried a www.google.com as the server address or the google link provides the option of setting the calendar...

    Is it possible to add a GMAIL account with messaging, contacts, just get a 1-way synchronization schedule synchronization?

    Alex

    During the installation process, you can be (depends on your level of operating system) presented with several different screens, some will be pretending come from GMail and other BlackBerry. One of those who may make statements want to allow setting up the agenda, your contacts and emails... but this screen will not provide any options but to accept or cancel. This screen is actually just informative... saying you have to accept if you want to be able to use an ANY of these, but that screen does not actually set any of them. When you accept this first screen, it will proceed to the other screens, which is where you choose actually the functions you want to integrate (calendar, contacts, or email)... simply because of the slide for OFF those you don't want to not activate.

  • BlackBerry Z10 problem creation account Exchange ActiveSync on Z10

    Hi all

    I'm trying to set up my e-mail account on a Z10 using Exchange ActiveSync. Setting up the same account on a Samsung Galaxy S3 works perfectly well.

    When I use the normal installation procedure, I enter my e-mail address and password and get back this:

    Expected, delimiter: line 1 122 (122 char) column

    If I pass by "Advanced", the error message is the same, except for the number 194 instead of 122.

    The account in question is an Office 365 E3, and I would avoid using BBCS (if it works even with OS 10 devices; there are conflicting reports on the net).

    I asked the carrier, I got the phone, and they said they couldn't help because it wasn't their e-mail account. I asked Microsoft and they told me they couldn't help because it was a problem of BlackBerry. I asked BlackBerry, and they have not yet responded.

    Can anyone help?

    (By the way, why is there an error message from a JSON reader in the standard library of Python concerned with creating a Exchange account? Because that's when the message comes. Microsoft is not known for their enthusiastic embrace of JSON, they love with XML).

    --

    Christian

    Problem solved. I consider the problem with security and limit myself to the waves of suggestions, but since that alone would suffice to guess the problem, why bother?

    The error occurred because my password contained double a quotation mark character. Somewhere in the account of the Z10 configuration procedure, something assembles a JSON structure, among other things, the password entered by the user. This password is placed in a quoted string, but the quotes inside it are not escaped. When the structure is passed to the next step, it is not parsed, and the error occurs.

    I wonder why I seem to be the first user to have this problem.

    TL; Dr: have no quote characters in your password.

    Ok. Let's start with: how many characters you use the password?

    I don't remember the minimum number of characters in the password, it might be six, but why not try using a password with 6, I know full well that work of 8 characters.

    Hey all the... I retired my Storm 9530 some time ago (my fingers are too big for the touch screen and key of BB contact confirmation system to the key light blue is lost in my porkers, so needless to say I didn't have much success with the storm) and currently active (on TELUS Mobility) a Tour 9630 I received from a friend as a scrap... I have set a password 4 digit simple twice now and have wiped twice the phone because it will not recognize the password I've carefully matched to each time.  Frustrating!

    Both times I had the number of attempts to set password on 3, the second time, I deliberately set the security option timeout to 1 minute... thinking that if I waited entry password incorrect one or two attempts (in which case it was me the fat-fingering entry somehow), the number of attempt would be at least 3 reset again... Is there another way to lock and unlock the phone w/o to the draconian measure wipe?

    Thank you, FFF

    Hello

    It is excellent that you have discovered, by searching on this site, the solution to your problems of password entry. Play well!

    As for your desire for a less drastic locking... feature that would require a separate application to do (I don't know if they exist). After all, the BBs are safer mobile devices available... to diminish the ability of the device lock feature would reduce the overall security of the device.

    In my humble OPINION - the device itself is a mere commodity. The data on it, however, are priceless... and protect the data from prying eyes is essential for safe keeping the device in place. Fortunately, RIM provides several FREE methods to backup your data to be used to restore any catastrophic event. All users of BB to use these methods.

    Good luck!

    You can try the workaround suggested to 10.2, or upgrade to 10.3, which has this fix.
