• I need help serious as everyone seems to have / had this critical issue before.

The only thing that prevents me from publishing my interactive software emulation is a problem with the Captivate software, I bought: the cursor is not placed within a text input box when the box appears (which for me is always at the beginning of a slide).

  So, after a quick search on the problem, I discovered that there is a patch available, which includes a fix for this.

  I ran the updates from within Captivate as the loaded Web page, but the problem persisted. After obtaining the guignol with Adobe, it turns out that this patch is only available for volume licensees and holders of a subscription license.

  The patch contains improvements and corrections, which in fact kind of guess something they have monetized by motivating / rewarding other licensed retail holders. A simple question remains: why haven't they made bug fixes available to all their customers? Why should I lean back to fix a problem that I've been delivered? The problem has been fixed! Why isn't the fix included in normal updates of Captivate?

  According to the guy I talked from Adobe, the only way for me to solve the problem is to subscribe or purchase a volume license. Can I publish my video so I'll probably pay $20 for one month subscription to obtain the fix. And then for the next four videos in the series, assuming that the fix is not pushed normal updates at this time. (Apparently fixes dissipate when does the subscription)

  Am I missing something here? Is it possible for a single licensee retail like me get this fix or difficulty, otherwise the entry text box focus problem? (Not posting stolen versions of the patch).

  I got a big problem here with the querys where clause, when I put specific values, the query works fine, but when I try to run it without where clause or a generic where clause, it shows me this error message: 01476. 00000 - "the divisor is equal to zero.

  I have an application which most simply described, makes a loop on a table and generates reports as a pdf for each record.
  It works perfectly CF7.

• Important conceptual issue on the Application Module, maximum Pool size

  We have a critical issue for the default settings of the Application Module (taking a data source DB connections)
  
  I know that on the Web, it is generally suggested that each request must end with a commit or rollback when executing blocks PL/SQL 'directly' on the DB without the intervention of service framework ViewObject/BC/entity.
  
  Now, for some reason, we started to develop our applications with the thought that each Web Session référenceriez exactly a DB session (open any instance taken AM pool) during the duration of the session, so that the changes made by each session Web DB session would never interfere with the changes made by 'other' Web Sessions to 'other' DB sessions.
  
  In other words, because of this persuasion, we implemented often sort of "transactions" that open and close (with commit or rollback) every DB session not in and after a single HTTP request, but during several HTTP requests.
  
  As think of a concrete example of this scenario:
  
  1. the user presses the button "insert." An HTTP request is triggered. The action listener is running and ends with the insertion of rows in a table via a block PL SQL (not via the ViewObjects API).
  2. no commit or rollback after the PL/SQL block above is still done.
  3. Finally, the user presses a button of 'Validation' or 'Dismantling', taken from the appropriate call to the AM methos.
  
  These three applications are what I called the "transaction".
  
  Literature, it is clear that there is no guarantee that the couple HAVE istance + DB session is the same in all applications.
  This means that, during step 2, it is possible that another user can do reference the same 'pending' AM / DbSession for its needs and 'fly' sort the work done via PL/SQL after step 1. (This happens because sessions taken poolside are always cancelled by default).
  
  Now my question is:
  Suppose that we have defined the parameter 'Maximum Pool size' to the very many (always less than the maximum number of concurrent users):
  Is there a guarantee that all applications will be isolated in this case?

  No, I don't think that there is a specific guarantee - at least according to the documentation. You could open an SR with support for asking the question and ask them to refer the matter to the development. The way to ensure things would be to disable AM pooling, which, according to the literature, is not a configuration supported for production.

  I know it's probably not what you want to hear, but if you hired me to come and consult with you, my recommendation would be to redefine the architecture you have. In the end, you'll be happier with the results. If you have an API of PL/SQL, you use, you could write an extension of the generic framework for your EOs that could take advantage of the API of PL/SQL instead of SQL calls (there was little prior work on this and N of Frank, recently said that he would become an EMG effort, but not until next year). If you did, you can further increase your PL/SQL, but without violating the rule "don't let state pending in the session DB".

  There are three files.
  
  (1) Listener.log___ size: 50 MB
  (2) Sqlnet.log___ size: 23 MB
  (3) Orcl10g.log___ size: 945 MB
  
  I deleted these files on the Linux system. I found, the [ORCL10g.log] file does not exist. But space did not communicate to the Linux system.
  So, I killed this process which was this lock file. (ls - ld/proc / * / fd / * 2 > & 1 | fgrep '(deleted)')
  Today, Linux is still free space.

  After some time, I found Oracle created only 01 (Listener.log) file but not create two other files.
  I wish that oracle is expected to create these two files as well. I tried a lot of things, but could not succeed.

  The second block - redundant - defines the instances managed by this listening port

  so in your case the second block does not match the first.

  I replace ORCL10G and TDE by LISTENER and reload the listener.

• URGENT update for Thunderbird - mailing list is broken

  The most recent update to Thunderbird broke mailing lists. Trying to send a message to a list to get an error message. test dialog box is as follows:

  I tried to recreate the mailing list (49 names!), no change. I used this (and other mailing lists) for years, so I'm positive, that it ruptured during the last update to Thunderbird. I hope that you appoint it as a critical issue since mailing lists are a crucial function of a mail client. More I do several mailings a month to this list, and typing in 49 names each time by hand isn't funny (just finished with the message of today ' hui).

• mini iPad 4 synchronized via wifi to 9.2.1. First manual synchronization from the download on iTunes and the wifi today said iPad needs to update to 9.2.1.

  I originally upgraded my mini ipad 4 via wifi to 9.2.1 the second day of its release. Today (05/03/16) I plugged my iPad to itunes on my Mac for the first time since the 9.2.1 update.  iTunes tells me that I need to download and update to 9.2.1 even though the iPad is verified to have the latest software. This is not a critical issue just a boring and not to mention, a little redundant.

  I have a HP G72 laptop, product number: WJ746AV, running Windows 7 (64-bit). Since I got the laptop I have had this view from the volume show when I adjust the volume using the keyboard:

  

  All features remain, but it is very unsightly. He saw the usual indicator that appears on the HP machines.   I found a fix for this and I would like to share with anyone who might find this post with a similar problem.

  I went into the control panel of the system by typing "msconfig" in the search programs and files on the Start Menu.

  In the Startup tab, I have disabled "Realtek OSD for Volume / Mute. After a reboot, the ugly blue volume bar had disappeared, and now I'm free to use 3RVX.
