cropping images rasterized in CS4

I have an rastorized image in CS4 I want to crop.  I am instructed by the OBJECT > AREA of CULTURE to use the rectangle tool to define the area of harvest.  If I do that and then what?  How to actually harvest in the region defined by the rectangle?  Anyone?

  1. Draw the rectangle in the art of position multi-year pixelated.
  2. Select art ectangle so pixelated.
  3. Go to object > clipping mask > make.
  4. Bob's your uncle.

    placeproblem,

Is it possible to really cut back in Illustrator?

There are dirty destructive work, with the selected clipping mask:

    (1) in the drop-down list the palette/Panel transparency list select everything except Normal (Multiply is fine; this step may not be necessary in your version, you can try without him).

    (2) object > flatten transparency, just keep the defaults including 100% vector.

    (3) thrill (optional, unless that inevitable).

This will really trim for the clipping.

  • Effect of cropping - Image bleeding by mask with feathers?

    Hi all

I am applying a form customized with the cropping effect mask. I've attached a picture showing the issue. The edge of the cropped image is bleeding in the mask as a result of the addition of a feather mask. I encountered this problem in several projects for the past few weeks. Anyone have any suggestions!

    Thank you!

Better is not not to use the mask with the cropping effect, but rather of opacity mask.

  • Why the reduction in file size drastic in cropped images?

I cropped just a picture of 9 MB a very SMALL amount and the resulting image was 756 KB. Why? Is this normal?

What are the dimensions in pixels before and after cropping? The file size is normally determined when you export a copy of the cropped image. It will depend on the settings you choose in the dialog box export for example image size, resolution and jpeg quality unless you export as PSD or by another file format which normally have larger files. In summary, that the file size is not that important as long as the image meets the requirements of your destination ex a picture with a resolution of 72 DPI to average quality compression will be fine for use on sites and blogs while you would need a resolution of 240-300 PPI and of high quality if you were doing an impression.

  • Mapping image in PS CS4?

    Hey guys,.

Well, I'm learning new things, and I'm converting more parts of the design of my website with Photoshop CS4. Finally, I would like to be able to design a complete model and use it as my page web etc, but now I am only a navigation bar. Previously, I used ImageReady to make my interactive images (only 1 page right now, so I have pointing to 5 different navigation bar parts of my page using the href = "" # < name "link"). However, after a lot of research in Google, I still have to find a guide on how to make the image maps with CS4... I created the complete navigation bar, as well as diapers for onMouseOver for each link. Because the way I have no ImageReady with CS4, I am at a loss. I tried to create a navigation bar with DreamWeaver CS4, but she just wanted to make buttons and my an attempt to test the navigation bar of DW with my flight path images was a huge failure.

So could someone, anyone, please Please explain how to make image maps of my navbar.psd file? Thank you!! (A few other tuts supposed to save under > HTML which is a flop, because I don't have HTML as an option...)

Photoshop can't do image maps, it was territory ImageReady and which is no longer supported. You may ask, in the land of Dreamweaver , how do.

  • How to crop an image from Illustrator CS4 for use in Dreamweaver?

I drew in Illustrator for years, but I'm pretty new to work with Dreamweaver.

I would like to cut the part of the image of an Illustrator drawing to use as background in a design of Dreamweaver:

    -How is it done?

    Is there a better way?

    Thank you

    Mark

Never had a problem like this with dynamic objects to go then and

because you can set what would be the final out put of the dynamic object

directly in Dreamweaver, I would say smart object is the way to go

regardless of the fears of the mylenium.

I think he will find it's a more like in AE or agency that would be

a more never having to search for the original art of HAVE to

Photoshop. I thik you will find leaving the dreamweaver to take care of

the conversion of a web format, this will give the error free most

    method.

the other way that you end up with a ton of variations you'll never ever

don't forget they are there and what they were for.

  • AppleScript to resize images in Photoshop CS4 will not work in CS6 - help!

    Hi people.

I am new to this lark script and hope someone can help...

Our Nigel, unfortunately is no longer with us, wrote a cunning to convert script photographs large size smaller using Photoshop CS4.

    The workflow is the following:

    You open Photoshop

You have two files, one with the original files and the other which is empty.

You drag the folder with the original files on the .app and he asks a destination folder (tell you him to use the empty folder).

The images are then opened one by one, resized, some tape removed and are then registered to the empty folder (formerly).

    Lovely jubbly.

The problem is when you try to use this app with Photoshop CS6 - it fails at the point of backup files in the new folder which gives this error:

Adobe Photoshop CS6 has been an error: "unable to get document"075.jpg". (- 1728)

I fiddled with the script a little and it seems don't not like the section "with options" command 'Save document' (it works fine if I completely remove the fuse "with options" - but I need than LZW compression).  I have trawled through a few similar questions on these forums, but have not been able to track down the problem. It probably doesn't help that I'm not a programmer (just try to translate as I oppose using the Photoshop CS6 AppleScript reference guide).

Did everyone there knows the problem please?

    The script is below.

    on Open ()pourla)

set theDestination of (choose folder with guest 'set the destination for the files processed...) ") as text

    tell application "Finder"

  • How to crop images and reduce the size of an image using illustrator?

    Hi friends...

Could you please help us by answering the question above or that other family of software tools Adobe will help us in this regard.

    Thank you and best regards,

    BioChem Adda team

To crop an image (by that word people usually mean a bitmaped image these s a photograph) is best done in photoshop, if you want to reduce the size of your file.

Illustrator has hide the ability to crop an image, but that will not reduce the size of your file everything.

If your main goal is to reduce the size of the file

    1. Make sure you link do not embed an image
    2. File > Save As > and turn off compatible pdf as which increases significantly the size of your files. You only need pdf compatible, if you plan to place it in InDesign or After Effects.
  • Re-sizing 3.2 (no cropping) images for a Full HD project?

    Hello

I work on an audiovisual project, am new to video editing and would greatly appreciate some advice before I wear my photo and video editing stage. I work with Premiere elements 11.

My videos was taken by a Fuji hs20 camera and are 1080 p Full HD 30 frames per second using the H.264 encoded (saved as MOV files directly) progressive capture compression. Sound - WAVE. stereo.

My images have an aspect ratio of 3.2 and I decided to save them in JPEG format - I very MUCH, and for me, jpeg, due to the image being visible, will be easier to locate, as opposed to the DSP, on external hard drives that I use as a backup.

Because of my video, I understand that my project will make Full HD 16.9 framework report, but I really want to keep the ratio of part 3.2 of still images - the vertical black bars either side doesn't bother me, in fact, they will add to the artistic nature of the project. I don't want to crop or squeeze them.

I want to put my project ended up on Youtube, and, if possible, burn on the bluray and dvd, Uk/Europe region.

I'm looking for the best image quality I have can get and would like to know the precise image, resize, size width and height in pixels that would be appropriate for a 3.2 image in a Full HD presentation. The photos were taken between 7 and 14 Mpx. I have photoshop elements to edit.

Also, I was informed to convert my video in MPEG streamclip to avoid further loss of quality and other problems. Could someone advise me over him - I understand that a converter can be downloaded for free, but I'm not sure what to use.

I apologize for this post being thus diverted, but I want to provide as much information as possible. My computer is 64 bit with 5 core processor.

    Hope to hear some soon

    Sincerely from Alan

If you have no problems of computer resources with your 3:2 images in a project of x 1080 Elements1920 first, then just import the photos in 3:2 with their original pixel size in the project. If you look at a compromise in the resources of the computer then resize your photos to the dimensions in pixels with the 3:2 ratio.

Here I suggest you to look at resizing 1920 x 1280 pixels (example) origin 3000 x 2000 and then import the 1920 x 1280, 3:2 in the project

    a. the checkmark next to the default scale to the size of the image with Edit Menu/preferences/general (project where the scale of 3000 x 2000 to supposed 1920 x 1280.)

    or

    b. with Edit Menu/preferences/general with no check mark next to the default scale to the size of the image. Here you to scale the video in established Edit area monitor space

by the choice of the project preset defined by you (manually) or project (automatically).

The foregoing gives an image cropped to scale with the black border that you feel artistic.

Please do a mini test run to determine if it works for you.

I did a few crossings run with the above, and everything seems to achieve the goal without cropping.

  • Different algorithm when changing the size in the dialog vs tool crop Image size?

In Photoshop CC 2014, I would look to change the size of the image and increase the DPI of 180 to 300.  If I open the dialog "Image size", using CTRL-I, I can set the resolution to 300 dpi, change the width and height, if I want, and I can choose the resampling to use, automatic algorithm, preserve the details, etc...

If I'm resizing an image for printing to a specific dimension, say a poster 24 x 36, I find much easier to just go in the crop tool, select 24 inches by 36 inches and change the px / 300 so I can see what size I need and select the culture I want for the image. I don't see any option for the algorithm to use well, so someone can tell me what algorithm it uses?  Is it possible to specify?  Can I use the Image Size dialog box to increase the DPI first before cropping?

Basically, what is the best method to use to get the best image quality when you try to resize a photo for a large physical size and increase the DPI at the same time?

    Thank you in advance.

I suspect the preferences > General > parameter Interpolation of the Image will be used.

  • Crop images to the largest dimension of hor/Green?

Hi guys and his team of photoshop.

could you please inform me if it is possible to crop photos for its largest side. (but not automated manual)

    That's what I want:

    (a) If an image is 1400x1600px to cultures to 1600 x 1600 px

    (b) If an is1700x1400px of the image to crop px 1700 x 1700

After the automated process that each photo should be sized to it's larger size of the horizontal or vertical dimension.

    I am I clear enough?

Is this possible via shares or any other automatic work?

    Anthony

You have to use "crop" or you can use "canvas size"? It is easily achievable with a little script. Something like that

    http://pastebin.com/r0EtBj1U

Copy the contents and paste it into a document with a text editor. Save the document as "MaxCanvas.jsx" and then run via "File-> Scripts" in Photoshop; an action or "whatever." Works like a charm, but I have only tested in Photoshop CC on Maverics.

  • Video editing in the source Panel and drag it into the timeline result in a video of the cropped image.

I do a music video using Premiere CS6 and spin on this issue where, after cutting a video source in the Panel of the source using the brand/out tool and using the Insert command to put it in the timeline, the image I see in the program Committee is significantly cropped (I see that almost half of the video). The source file is a .mp4. Any advice?

The you cropping experienced, it was because your pre-defined sequence does not match your images. Your film is probably 1080 and your sequence was probably 720 or similar. Using Create Sequence clip, sequence settings match your clips and no cropping wil happen.
