CS2 feature of pressure on Surface Pro 3

Hi all

I just got a Surface Pro 3 and struggled to get support from the pressure of the Stylus Pro.

I read support subjects that suggest downloading the wintab driver and the Wacom driver, although when I do that, I just get the error there is no supported devices found. My pen is paired and works great.

I guess my main question is:

Someone did get this running? If so, can you point me in the direction of an answer or help me get set up?

Thanks to you all. Every bit of feedback is useful!

Figured it out myself, but for anyone who is interested:

Wintab - N-trig

You will need to install the 32-bit driver, and pressure sensitivity works.

    I uninstalled and installed again.

Pressure sensitivity works in Illustrator and Photoshop.

I clicked on the Brush tool and the option does not appear.

I clicked on the pencil tool and option does not appear.

I drew a line with brush and pencil tool. Option does not appear.

I tried it with the drawing on and outside object.

It seems odd that it works for Illustrator and Photoshop but not animate cc (formerly known as flash cc).

I've also done the above with a Surface of 3 (not pro) and it didn't work either.

  • Photoshop CS6 brush pressure sensitivity doesn't work is not on the Microsoft Surface Pro.

I just bought a Microsoft Surface Pro for Photoshop running on this subject.  I installed Photoshop and tried to make some sketches.  I created a new file and began sketching.  Immediately, I felt as if something was wrong.  I checked my brush settings and saw that the pressure sensitivity was not available.  Everytine I tried to put it on it was marked by an exclamation point.

Does anyone know if Adobe supports new microsoft pressure sensitive pen, or if there is some sort of definition that I'm missing?  I tried sketchbook pro 2011, and that works surprisingly well with the pen.  I hope someone can help me along here, because if this tablet really can run photoshop, it would be a game changer.

Microsoft is aware of this problem with their driver software.

Many other applications (not just Adobe) are also affected.

  • Acrobat Professional 7.0 on Surface Pro 4

I have an Acrobat Professional 7.0 installation disc, which installed ok on my new Surface Pro 4.  Would it not possible to get the inherited updates to ensure all features?  Thank you very much.

    Hi St7v7n,

Due to a technical problem, Adobe has disabled the activation server for CS2, including Acrobat 7 and hearing 3 applications.

However, you can try the following workaround:

-Error "Unavailable activation server" in Adobe CS2, Acrobat 7 and hearing 3

But, please be informed Acrobat 7 is really an old version and won't be compatible with the configuration of the Surface Pro 4 system. Thus, it may or may not work.

  • 6500 has more: cannot print Surface Pro 3 - a persistent problem that is ALWAYS the case.

3 surface Pro, Windows 10 (64 bit) put in place. I constantly have problems everytime I try to print documents. Print HP says the wireless network window is not connected, but the printer wireless network Test report HP says it's on - GO. The drivers don't need to be updated on the Surface Pro, according to the HP Support Online, so please - HP should have some kind of awareness of it. Cannot access the HP Print and Scan Doctor - the link does not work. Seriously. It is a basic functionality.

Currently I have to spend more than an hour trying different ways to get printing to work, sometimes, it will randomly to print a document and return then to not print. It is not a sustainable situation. I avoid the impression of this set-up as far as possible, that this song and dance is always necessary, but sometimes I can't do it otherwise.

I lost a lot of time on is is no longer viable to use HP printers in my office at home and we...

Way forward please, or I'll be dumping this HP printer and not come back.

  • Pen do not respond in Fresh Paint Microsoft Surface Pro

I have a Microsoft pro surface.  Everything works fine except when I use the stylus in 'wet paint '.  The stylus work absolutely fine on all other programs.  However, when I try to paint in "Fresh paint", I have to press to be exceptionally difficult to get barely a brush stroke.  When I use my fingers, paint out of normal.  Y at - it a setting or something escapes me?  I wish I could use the precision of the stylus with this application, as it was one of the main reasons for the purchase of the Surface pro on something like an IPAD.

    San\m

I re - calibrate the pen.  However, stylus calibration only affects the calibration of the screen.  It does not affect the sensitivity to the actual pressure.  In addition, this problem is only located in the wet paint.  I even tried to reinstall the program.  Is this a known problem with fresh paint and pen input?

    Hello
I'm a developer with the team of fresh paint.

I use daily the Surface Pro with the stylus.  In view of all the devices/engineers in our team, we find the pen interaction to work smoothly on the Surface Pro.

  • Surface Pro and Reader Kindle

I had no problem downloading the Kindle for my Surface Pro application.  However, I wasn't able to move the newspaper or subscriptions to magazines at the Surface.  I called Amazon/Kindle and the tech told me that the reader of newspapers and magazines does not work with Windows 8.  I'll try to get back Internet Explorer compatibility feature to open the application with windows 7, but I wanted to know if there is a fix for this problem in the pipeline, or at least thought?  Also, is it a problem to Microsoft or a matter of Amazon?  I would like to know which company to rant on this going forward.

You should check with the source magazine and they are in the formats.  Calibre program is in constant development, although fully functional but does not support everything.

Some companies have their own special applications in order to eliminate the "contraband".  This means that files will be encrypted specifically and only these applications can open them.

If you have a Tablet Surface RT or Surface 2, you can forget install something else than what is in the store.  The RT line; the CAP is shot, but there are a few apps that appear to support the platform.  It only means that it took more time to develop the app than I expected and they finally got their.

Most of the magazines I've seen require their own specific application to load.  These applications generally support Android and iOS for computer platforms and some ebook there readers who are based Android.

You should check with the distributor of these magazines or journals themselves to find a solution.

  • Windows 8 and/or Surface Pro supports "connected standby mode?

    Hello

I just read that ' a Windows 8.1 feature called connected standby mode, which allows computers to be put into mode 'sleep' and wake up instantly, is available today than in the 32-bit version "is the reason why" first Trail Bay tablets will use only the 32-bit version of Windows 8.1 ".»

But if this is true, don't would then not it means that the Surface Pro running Windows 8 Pro 64 bit is therefore unable to use "connected pending"?

I didn't notice the Surface Pro or the W700 Acer having problems coming out pending, then perhaps 'connected standby mode' is another type of sleep?  Can someone explain to me.  The "instant on" feature (the case of illusion, or for real) is what tablet users and so Windows 8.

Our company has been delaying the replacement of our laptops Windows XP until the release of 2.4 GHz, 64 bit, 8 GB RAM, SSD 256/512, 4 G/LTE Mobile Broadband Bay Trail devices come to market.  As a benchmark, we are looking for a device (/ Ultrabook/Tablet laptop computer) that would be able to effectively deliver business applications, for example Adobe Photoshop, MS Powerpoint.  2 to 4 GB of RAM will not be enough.

It will be Haswell devices without a fan, we have to buy these, even if they are much heavier and have reduced the battery life because it seems that it would not be until 2015 that see us peripheral Bay Trail capable business, see the articles below.

    http://www.TomsHardware.com/news/Atom-Bay-Trail-Valleyview, 19244.html
Mobile Atom SoC stay 32-bit at least until 2015
Somewhat surprising is the notion that Intel will keep its Silvermont Atom processor as a 32-bit platform until at least 2014. Customers who need the ability of 64-bit Atom will have to the Centerton Atom-S the microserver-based processor. It is not known if the successor of Silvermont, the 14 nm Airmont, will move to 64-bit

    https://www.NetworkWorld.com/news/2013/091213-Windows-81-tablets-with-64-bit-273770.html

Buyers looking for a tablet with the new Bay Trail Atom from Intel chip and a 64-bit version of Windows 8.1 will have to wait until early next year.

Intel executives said Wednesday the first Trail Bay tablets will use only the 32-bit version of Windows 8.1, despite the support of 64-bit on the chip.

Tablets with OS 32 bit have a limit of 4 GB of DRAM memory, while 64-bit can actually support 512 GB. Most of the first tablets Trail Bay with Windows 8.1 will not more than 4 GB of memory, said Steve Smith, Vice President and Director of development for the tablet at Intel.

"We have the capacity, now it's a matter of when a system of consumption needs, it's probably somewhere in the future, I would say that a few generations away ', said Smith.

The reason is the limitation in the software of Microsoft, said Nathan Brookwood, principal analyst at Insight 64. A feature of Windows 8.1 and wake up instantly, called Eve connected, which allows computers to be put into mode 'sleep' is available now than in the 32-bit version.

Microsoft adds functionality to the 8.1 Windows 64-bit, and it will be available in early 2014.

Intel also does not feel 64-bit is required on consumer shelves, even if he knows what IT managers want 64-bit compatibility on all PCs and mobile devices in the enterprise.

Intel is developing a smart Tablet Trail separate Bay scheduled for 64 bit versions of Windows 8.1, and the processor will be available in the first quarter of next year, said Chris Walker, Director general of tablets at Intel Mobile Communications Group.

2 Surface Pro supports NOT connected to sleep, even if it uses the "Haswell" chip, which supports this mode.

There is a world of difference between standby connected and traditional modes of 'Sleep' and 'put to sleep '. Basically, connected to standby mode, the system really is, but requests are suspended for most. See here for a Microsoft document that gives an introduction connected mode standby.

I don't know why the 2 Surface Pro does not deliver sleep connected; I've seen several data, possible reasons for why this might be true:

    • The 64-bit Windows 8/8.1 version does not support it.
    • It is necessary that the material to be a fanless design (Surface Pro 2A fans).
    • It is necessary for the design to have TPM (Trusted Platform Module) version 2.0 (Surface Pro 2A version 1.2)

Whatever the reason (and it can be one or more of the above), it is disappointing that a product of the so-called phare does not support the feature.

  • Contour pen late question on Surface Pro 2?

I'm having this problem where the original race seems to be a delay and creates a straight line at the beginning of each stroke. I recently bought a year of all programs on the Cloud service creative in the hope that I could use CC animate particularly for animation, so that has been incredibly frustrating to treat. This problem does not appear to me in Photoshop CC.

    0da227b23470e973fc9c555b3f14d03d.png

As you can see in the picture above, it is very visible, especially at larger angles. This happens with all the tools to animate CC, much as in the previous case, I was using the Brush tool.

    541e6b789cb49e86072bd9417216a4cb.gif

Above is a comment that I made using paint brush.

If you look closely, it detects the start of the race, but only continues to follow the pen after a short delay, thus causing the effect of the straight line.

I use settings/default preferences in CC to animate and have only changed the layout of the workspace to 'Host', although this change does not appear to have any effect on the problem. I tried to change settings such as smoothing, pressure sensitivity, tilt, and none of the above will fix the problem. I completely wiped my computer and installed Windows 10 Pro (this problem before in Windows 8), and the issue has not been resolved.

    Information:
Running the 64-bit version of Windows 10 Pro with all the current news (to date).

Animate CC 2015.2 (Build 15.2.1.95) with default preferences.

Using a Surface Pro 2 with a processor Intel Core i5-4300U.

    I tried:

    As an administrator
    Reinstall the drivers

Disable the touchpad and writing Board Service

Display on or off timing of the ppp settings high (although my display settings are 100%).

Priority passage of superior service, etc.

Disabled flips and hold action in the pen Options.

Change of smoothing, pen pressure, tilt and various other options within the CC to animate.

If anyone has the solution to this, please let me know. I would like to start with CC animation animate as soon as possible, but with this question, I won't be able to use it. I've already dug around many old posts on similar problems, and none of the solutions are applicable.

Sorry to tell you this, but yes there late and is not the program. The graphics card on the Surface Pro 2 is simply not powerful enough to handle vector calculations, that's why you see him do straight lines. He cannot calculate the curves so that lack them, and ends the line without these curves so that the line is straight. I have a Surface Pro 2 as well, and it doesn't work with Animate.

I have owned dozens of Tablet PCs and while they cool for doodling and suspended in cafes, unfortunately, they have no power of real transformation despite what they're trying to tell you about the ads and Animate needs causing a mixture of questions which dates back to the time of macromedia Adobe set in many ways, but the Brush tool still stands as something difficult to do better in the program even on computers of Office, let alone a tablet.

In fact, there is only one compressed everything that I've ever seen who can handle vectors animate/Flash and is the companion of Cintiq. You8 can currently buy on eBay for about $1000, and while I'm sure it helps a lot of you with your tablet, at least you know that's not a bug, and it is not something that Adobe can probably do about it.

  • installation of Illustrator 10 on my Surface Pro 4

I run an older version of Illustrator (which is perfectly sufficient for my needs, so I do not wish to upgrade).  Is it possible to somehow install (I have the disks) on my new Windows Surface Pro 4?

Thanks in advance for any help

You can try to install the disks via an external USB hard drive.

The oldest version offered for download by Adobe's CS2.

You can download CS2 from Adobe, which is a free facility for owners of CS2 and earlier versions.

  • Compatibility with Surface Pro 4?

    Hello

I was looking for something to replace my current + computer wacom tablet laptop art installation I've had problems with malfunctioning Wacom Tablets and try a better facility. I know that a lot of artists using adobe photoshop, illustrator and other great apps CC on the Surface pro with excellent results.

For some reason any I couldn't find answers to the topic of animate works with the pro surface or not. All I could find were complaints that sensitivity to pressure in Flash does not work on the Surface Pro 3, but I can't find any video demonstrations to Animate on a surface, online.

It would be a dream Setup, I use Brush tool to Animate to draw freehand illustrations that I am able to export in svg and bring into illustrator for graphic work (since I'm not as great a drawing freehand in Illustrator itself.)

This would be any kind soul who has CC Adobe suite with animate AND a surface pro 3 or 4 have the kindness to let me know if my dream art installation is possible, or just a dream?

    Thank you!

No, this currently absolutely NOT compatible, even though I know they are working on it. I think it dates of abandonment of the Wacom drivers Microsoft for their own N-Trig (which sucks) currently you can't get any kind of pressure sensitivity. I would stay away for now the form if I were you. the Surface Pro 2 is good but suffers from this high resolution screen that requires you to have hack program to make it large enough to see.

  • Photoshop on Surface Pro tablet UI changes

    Hi guys!

I started using Photoshop with a pen on my Tablet Surface Pro 3. And I strongly suggest to make the user interface more useful with a pen only.

First of all, please make sure the on-screen keyboard when initiated by a touch of stylus as usual keyboard with the keys. Not the one with attract entry which is useless in PS.

Secondly, there is no Del button on the keyboard, but it is often not used the button. I can rearrange the keys to use the BACKSPACE or some other keys, but I would still like to see Del button somewhere.

Thirdly, currently still small easy gestures on PC are difficult on the tablet. Draw something, ctrl + A, Del - and you have a blank sheet of paper again. And I just can't do these on Tablet without using the Select Menu. You could add button select all in the selection panel.

Panel on the right door names near points, so I can't do really small.

Also when the canvas by hand rotation, should be stick points to 0, 90, 180, 270 degrees.

    Thank you.
