CS5 does not recognize scanner

Hello

Any ideas why CS5 has stopped recognizing my scanner Canon 8000. He had no problems until recently. Now when I open CS5 scanner wakes up, but is not displayed in the import menu. Have you tried several ideas to solve this problem without a bit of luck.

Apparently, TWAIN is so more loaded into the installation of CS5. I found it in plugin option here:

http://www.Adobe.com/support/downloads/thankyou.jsp?ftpID=4688&FILEID=4376

I went on this site, the downloaded ZIP file, extract the files and followed the instructions in the PDF of instructions. I put the plug-in extracts in the Plug-Ins folder under folder C:\Program Files\Adobe\Adobe Photoshop CS5 and restarted PS. Voila. TWAIN is back.

I use 32 bit Windows CS5. I have not tested to see if it works on 64 bit.

  • Image capture does not recognize scanner

I have three Macs. An old iMac (early 2008), MacBook Pro (early 2011) and a newly acquired iMac 4K retina. All are running 10.11.4. I have an Epson Perfection V370, who is about two years old attached to the new machine. She was attached to the old iMac Image Capture when he recognized without problems. On the new machine, which it is now fixed, picture Capture is no sign of him and nor does the component prefs printers and Scanners. He appears in the USB of the app information system section. It works very well with Epson Scan and also with VueScan. I downloaded the latest driver on the Epson web site with no change in this behavior.

Someone at - it clues as to how I could do this job?

I have now found the solution to this Epson buried on site. What I had to do was run Capture of Image, choose "Devices to TWAIN Reset" on the file menu and restart the Mac. The scanner then appeared in preferences, printers and Scanners and today works with the Image Capture. The page on the Epson site says I need to uninstall Epson Capture and reinstall. I found that I didn't have to do.

TWAIN is 32 bit and you most likely run CS5 in 64-bit mode. See the following article:

  • My laptop does not recognize my printer as a scanner

    ORIGINAL TITLE: scanning

Can I scan a document to my laptop via a wireless connection?

My laptop does not recognize my printer as a scanner!

    Hello

Most wireless with ability to scan printers also offer a scan wireless.

The features of the printer and Scanner are designed by the manufacturer of the OEM printer so
You must check with their support, their drivers and documentation online and ask for their
Forums about known issues (if any). OEM for the printer manufacturer is solely responsible for the
functioning of the printer and their drivers.

    Not really a Windows problem.

    I hope this helps.

  • My computer does not recognize my printer installed as a scanner.

Recognize a scanner.  My printer is also a scanner.  My new computer recognize the printer (in a network), but does not recognize the scanner function.  When I try to scan a document it tells me that I don't have a scanner installed?  What should do?

Normally, the input devices can be shared, at all, but this is not always true of scanners.  You will be able to share the scanner if the manufacturer has provided a software specialized for this purpose.

You must use a network scanner (which eliminates immediately most, if not all, USB scanners) and a specialized software (that comes with the scanner) to do this.  If you're talking about a consumer grade flat USB or parallel port scanner, you can most likely not.

HP, Canon, Xerox, Oce, Kyocera Mita and other companies manufacture network capable scanners (they devices actually multi-function was also copying, printing and sometimes fax and e-mail) and specialized software accessories.  The cost of these devices usually begins somewhere just below $4, 000.00 USD.

The application of HP PrecisionScan Pro, version 2.03 and higher, normally provided with some low business scanners from HP range, allows some of the functions of the sweep to share.  See the documentation provided with the scanner.  (I know that it works, if not very well; I configured HP ScanJet 6300 C and C 7490 devices to be shared, using the provided software.)
