  • CS6 inDesign crashing on the opening, works on the different user account, help?

    Hello!

I use InDesign everyday, had my Macbook since September and have had no problems with the opening of the program at all until about 2 weeks ago. It appears with the graphics of opening with all the license information, and 5 seconds later, a window opens saying "InDesign quit unexpectedly", as well as loads of text on the threads, frames and the rest. (A copy of the text is available to InDesign Crash Info - Pastebin.com , in case where anyone can somehow choose something from that!)

I tried to reset all my preferences and reinstall all of the CS6. I also had a problem with the fonts in the past, so I have deleted all my additional fonts and just now the default fonts library. The only way I could make it work is by setting up a different user account, and now it opens properly, but only when using this account. It's just a pain the * having to keep switching between user accounts all the time! I didn't know if there would be a quick solution to this, rather than having to transfer all my files, preferences etc. from one account to another and basically a new account from scratch.

Any help would be great appreciated.

    Thank you

According to the accident report, you must always update InDesign to the latest patch (8.0.2 for a perpetual license, 8.1 for the subscription).

If that alone is not enough, delete or rename the files of two preference from your old account (see replace your preferences for where to find them) and copy the same folders on the new account.

  • Cs6 InDesign crashes when exporting objects with shadows in interactive PDF format

I use the trial version of InDesign CS6 on a mac OSX 10.7.4 that I need to export my document as an interactive PDF. I found that the export works very well as long as none of the objects in my document were a shadow. However, if I add a shadow to any object (text, images or video) InDesign will crash when I try to export. I'm adding the shadow by selecting the object and choosing object > Effects > drop shadow. Is there another method I should use to add shade if I want to export to an interactive PDF?

I recently had some problems on my iMac where programs would crash on me, so I'm not sure if it is still a recurring problem with apple?

My iMac was completely wiped out and all my files were placed on as well as to reinstall all of my adobe programs again.

Since then, I had this problem only with indesign. Illustrator and Photoshop always seem to work properly.

Appreciate any help I can get! Thank you

InDesign CS6 only is not supported under El Capitan. Some seem to get by, but have some questions. You should consider the upgrade to CC2014/2015 (or returning to your OS).

  • CS6 inDesign crashes every time I try to open after upgrade to El Capitan

I upgraded yesterday afternoon to El Capitan. Everything went well, there is no problem and all my programs have remained open. I closed InDesign earlier today and I went to open again this afternoon, it crashes. Whenever I try to open it, I get the pink at the loading screen then the dialog box "InDesign quit unexpectedly. If I allow it to send an error report, I get a pop up box that says that adobe has solved the problem of crash with CS6 and 'click here' for more information. I can't click on it... It is the thud "you can make that noise. I tried to download the java package El Capitan and replacement and nothing has changed. I rebooted in safe mode and regularly several times, but at this point I am at a loss.

It comes to my work computer, and I use InDesign for almost everything I do, so I really need help ASAP!

    Thank you!

CS6 is not supported under El Capitan. There will be no Adobe solution, since the software is of 3-1/2 years.

CS6 other users also have problems as well.

  • CS6 InDesign crashed, cannot restart (lack of fonts, cmap files). Reinstalled - does not work. Help?

    Hello

my indesign CS6 worked perfectly until yesterday afternoon, when it crashed and wont open again all of a sudden. all it says is "there are fonts missing required system or cmap files. "Reinstall indesign." Done, with the cc cleaner, but it does not work!

works on windows 7, sp1 - never had any problems.

everything I can find in other forums on the cs2, which is quite outdated. Why this happens to you? all my other programs of the master collection work very well!

Okay, after a frustrating weekend, the problem seems to have resolved itself. what I did (for future applications):

-Downloaded cs6 master collection (since I had my CD not with me)

    -install old desinstallion

-wipe the system with the cleaning of cc adobe tool everything down

    -Restart

    -install cs6

-same error. no chance to do anything.

I then installed a trial version on another computer to render at least my pdf. Then I tried something new: I put the WCPA & fonts (in C:/programs/Common Files/Adobe/PDFL) from the pc to work on a USB key. When I "supported" my PDFL folder on my pc main in a zip (just in case), I gave indesign another try. Then he started upward - since it was the first time a little slower than usual, but it's on track.

  • CS6 InDesign crashing on start up

    Hello

I recently bought a new MacBook Pro 13 inch Retina display (MBPR). On my old laptop I was using CS5 which worked perfectly. On the new computer, I uninstalled CS5 (after restoring my files via TimeMachine), installed and run the 'Adobe Creative own cloud"(which is no cleaning requirement) and installed on the MBPR CS6. Illustrator, Photoshop and other CS apps work great, but InDesign never launched successfully since its installation. The homescreen of startup stops at "commissioning of the service registry" front of closing / crashing. Here is a list of steps, I started to get the program works again troubleshooting:

    • I have reset the InDesign preferences
    • Off all the fonts in FontBook user
    • Uninstalled Indesign
    • Uninstalled CS6 3 times to see if it can fix the problem
    • Power off all plug-ins
    • Starts in safe mode and tried to run the application (the same problem occurred)

Does anyone have advice or directions on how to fix this? I browsed some other forums, but none seem to point in the right direction.

    Thank you

Could also be a lack of a local printer by default (make sure that there is a printer connected to the computer and turned on, and set default to the first launch), or a lack of permission to write the prefs. See does not start under new inDesign CC | Adobe Community

  • CS6 inDesign crashes on Windows 8.1

    I deleted the file %localappdata%\Adobe\InDesign and %appdata%\Adobe\InDesign

Still InDesgn CS6 crashes when I start it as a normal user.

I can start as administrator but I can't launch the Adobe as an administrator.

How can I start InDesign as a normal user?

The thing to do is to keep the Temp folder in %LocalAppData%.

If you do not like it to be there (I have temporary data in a memory disk) we can use something like Hardlink Shell extension (http://schinagl.priv.at/nt/hardlinkshellext/linkshellextension.html to create a junction of the %LOCALAPPDATA%\temp to a folder on a drive or location of differnet.

    I hope this helps.

  • CS6 inDesign crashes at startup

InDesign CS6 crashes at startup upward.

Gets the boot in what concerns the 'commissioning of the panels' then I get the message 'Adobe InDesign has stopped working. A problem caused the blocking of the program works correctly. Windows will close the program and notify you if a solution is available. »

Other programs CS6, I've tried have workd fine.

I tried to uninstall and reinstall InDesign

I've updated InDesign via Adobe Application Manager.

I tried to start it as an administrator.

    Windows 7 Professional 64 bit

As much as I know that indesign has never worked, I installed recently CS6 and this was my first attempt to launch.

The application worked well in the new user account and does not work in your usual user profile.

It seems that the problem is with Premission or some other problem on the specific user account.

  • CS6 Indesign crashes during export epub

My indesign cs6 crashes during export epub. I have windows 7. I uninstalled and installed again, but nothing happened. When I start to export with the kindle amazon program also plugin stops working, theoretically it is not a bug of amazon. What to do. Could someone help? Thank you. I have had no error message.

  • Adobe InDesign crashing constantly

I am running Adobe InDesign CC 2015 in Mac Os X 10.9.5

ID crashes sometimes when I adjust the kerning, sometimes when I change the size of a text box, sometimes when I cut and paste text, sometimes when I place a library item... basically when I try to work... and it takes me 20-30 minutes to make a 5 minutes worth of work.

    What I've done.
    (1) reinstalled InDesign CC 2015
    (2) delete prefs (several times)
    (3) installed the CopyTextPlugin.app

    (4) prefs rebooted and deleted with all the changes

    (5) installed Muse CC 2014.3

    (6) uninstalled and re-installed Dreamweaver

    7) uninstalled and reinstalled Adobe Acrobat DC

To revert to a previous InDesign is not an option because I need to use the paragraph shading.

    Help!

And, of course, report about the problem means that figure you out how to fix it.

I rolled back my ID CC 2015 11.0.0.72 version and (knock wood), it seems to have stabilized it.

  • CS6 inDesign crashing just after startup

    Hello

We had a problem with one of our InDesign CS6 users, I feel that we have tried to implement everything. I will list them for reference:

    • InDesign CS6 uninstall through the standard "uninstall a program".
    • Uninstalling InDesign CS6 and by using the 'AdobeCreativeCloudCleanerTool '.
    • Tried to install using different disks.
    • Tried the update of the program (a few times he has shown there is no update).
    • Tried to delete the startup scripts and the removal of preferences.
    • Tried with a profile of charge on PC users.
    • Used several PC to test it with various different user accounts.
    • In the end we suffered just the hard drive clean, a completely new installation of windows 7, still no joy.

The only way that we can get this to work and not fall down just after commissioning is to give the user administrative rights, which for obvious reasons, is not an option for us.

    Hi Peter,.

It seems that I finally found a solution! One of my colleagues sent me so I thought I share it incase others have the same problem.

Here are the steps I took to make it work.

    1. create a folder on the root of C, as C:\UserTemp

    2. give users the rights to modify on the file that you created.

    3. run the following commandlines for each user change their folder and tmp %% hemins (need to be registered as a user):

    A. setx.exe TEMP C:\UserTemp

    B. setx.exe TMP C:\UserTemp

Basically, what this does is create a new TEMP folder where the user can get full access too, without having administrative rights. I was told that it works for all applications of CS6 not just InDesign.

Hope this can help someone else in the future and thanks for your help on this stone, troubleshooting.

    See you soon,.

    Jacob

  • InDesign crashing when I try to package files

With the help of the latest InDesign CC 11.2.0.99 on Mac OS x 10.10.5 and InDesign crashes constantly when I'm trying to package files. VERY frustrating because older versions do not have this problem. Any ideas on how to fix?

    Thank you!

I think I've solved this updating Suitcase Fusion 6 to its latest version, 17.3.2. I'm guessing that the activation of the plugin fonts was not compatible with the new InDesign update.
