CS6 product on the HARD drive that has been erased key

Hello

Recently, my Mac HARD drive was wiped out (accidentally during the installation of Linux). That being said I have not had time to take my product out of my product key. When I try to register my product (from an installation CD) it tells me that my key was used. Are there strategies for troubleshooting for this?

    Uhm... I think the issue here is a misunderstanding of what you watch.

    If you want to access your files from the old hard drive - you need to look in the right place.  If the old system was "Windows 7", "Documents and Settings" is the * wrong * place to look and "Users" would be the place to go.

    You * will * take ownership and change permissions on ALL (you want to propagate to all subfolders/files when do - to save time) in order to get them properly.

    New-->: Windows Vista/7 would have your files located in the directory 'Users' of the root of the drive - and then under your username.

    • \USERS\\Downloads\
    • \USERS\\Favorites\
    • \USERS\\Documents\
    • \USERS\\Music\
    • \USERS\\Pictures\
    • \USERS\\Videos\

    ... etc...

    Documents and settings to WIndows Vista/Windows 7 is a symbolic link and would lead to what you see if you tried to use it.

    Yes, the collection clears all of the C drive and you will lose your files. The solution would be to backup regularly to an external HARD drive and after the key one to also restore the files from the external hard drive.

When I try to install ESX 3.5 on it, ESX shows that space and be approzimately 1.4 TB. I understand that ESX requires little space, but I would not be the image that it's 400GO.

    What is a RAID?  You could have 6 300 GB drives, RAID requires treatment, and basically, 1 disc is overload, so it seems you are using RAID 5 (if you have 6 disks).  In this case, that is right you have 1.4 flying over, which is what ESX sees.

    All interface PATA (IDE) connectors are a standard 40 pin.

    I know that there is no restriction on the mixture of ATA drives with different speed capabilities and no restrictions on what cable you use, whether 40 wire or 80 strand (but still 40 pins).

    Faster drives will only work at the speed of the slowest car on any cable and 80 strand cables are needed to make ATA66 or higher drives run at their native speed.

    In addition, no player can work faster than the motherboard chipset permits, in your case ATA66.

    My provider of trade has still some disks 3.5 '' PATA in stock, but these are becoming harder and harder to find. Indeed, it is possible that production has ceased and that suppliers are just exhausted stocks.

    I can certainly say that, when repairs this technology were more frequent, I never had problems with discs theoretically faster on the same cable as slower drives, nor by using faster on 40 cable strands discs.
