CS6 Windows will work on a Mac?

A few years back, I bought CS6 Production Premium for Windows.  I plan to switch to Mac and wonder if I'll be able to install my copy of CS6 on Mac OSX.

Your license will not work for a Mac, but because it is CS6, you can ask a (once) swap of platform.  You can exchange languages/platforms for a newer version product if you follow the instructions on the following link:

l http://helpx.adobe.com/x-productkb/Policy-Pricing/Order-Product-Platform-Language-swap.htm

If you want to keep the option open windows, then you would have to take the chance to try an emulator Windows on the Mac.

    I got a new Mac for Christmas and already had the Windows of CS5 Design Premium version. It will work on my Mac, and if so, do I run Parallels and a version of Windows? What choices do I have?

    Yes, you must execute it via Bootcamp or parallels. There is no way the case. Platform swaps apply only to 'in progress' versions, which means CS6, but I no longer recommend it due to a growing pile of compatibility issues, in particular on Mac.

    Hi Mljohno,

    If you search for items 14, go into products from Adobe, click on 'Buy' in front of the name of the product and use the drop down menus to specify Mac or Windows full version or upgrade.

    Hi Matthew,

    A windows serial number does not work on the Mac. You can check the link below for the rotation of the platform.

    Exchange a product for a different version of the language or platform

    Hope this will solve your problem.

  • Original title: A new version of windows will work with my Windows XP?

    Original title: A new version of windows will work with my Windows XP?

    My computer needs a new startup disk, as I lost the original. Is it possible to buy a new one with Windows 7 or XP?

    Why do you think that your computer needs a new boot disk?

    It would be surprising to find a genuine Windows XP CD in the retail market (a store) these days, but you can make Internet purchases and may not be no need to buy one at all because it's nice to make just a copy of one from a friend.

    It is a good idea to have a couple of different bootable CD in your arsenal in case your XP problems a day and do not start.

    I find that most people can get by with a bootable XP Recovery Console CD you can do (no XP media required) and a Hiren boot CD.

    I've never seen a XP problem that I can't solve if I at least so many of those - and they are free to do, and you don't need any Microsoft original media to create.

    You said in your first post you have photoshop elements for mac disk 11?

    What happens when you try to install photoshop elements 11?

    No! 512 MB is way too little RAM. You need at least 2 GB for adequate
    performance.

  • The CS6 purchased will work on Windows Vista if the trial doesn't?

    Hello

    I downloaded Adobe CS6 design and Web Premium trial and I am running Windows Vista. Product information include Vista in the requirements for this program, but the trial still seams to work perfectly in any case. I just want to check if I buy the program if it run on Vista just as the trial done?

    Thank you!

    The only difference between the trial version and the purchased version, is that it will be activated with your serial number.  You will still have to reinstall.

    So we can say that if the trial works well, then the enabled version will be also.

  • 8.1 Windows will work in XP mode

    I just got my Dell Inspiron's 3847.  It has win 7 pro installed (reason why I bought it) and a victory for the pro 8.1 recovery disk.  Apparently, win 7 pro will run in mode xp easily, I found the info indicating that he has a real copy of xp built-in inside.  This machine has more capacity I need path.

    My question is, if I finally use disk re - install 8.1, will be 8.1 pro running in xp mode?  A site indicates that my computer should support "Super V" and/or technology, at the very least slat.  My Intel core i5 processor is supposed to have this ability.  Assuming I have the right processor, it is better the hassle of setting up 8.1 for xp mode, and are there any ideas as to how this would work?  Some instructions for execution of 8.1 in xp mode continue for pages and require settings in the bios as well as possible aftermarket software installs and entered command-line (?).  I'm pretty tech savy, but some changes may have disastrous consequences.

    Now, I suppose that everyone wonders why I have an interest to do so.   First of all, I am 68 and do not like change, with the OS anyway.  Second, my M.S. Flight Simulator is not supposed to work well (or at all) with 8.1.  Being my favorite Simulator and no new version compatible 8.1 have been (and cannot be) available, I can want to stay in the middle ages of xp.  Thanks to for all thoughts.  Art

    XP mode has been removed in Windows 8.1 and support for Windows XP Mode ending in April 2014 along with support for Windows XP. Its still very well however if you do not connect it to the internet.

    XP mode is designed mainly for professional use and generally doesn't have the graphics capability for the games.

  • Projects created in windows will not play on mac

    the last update that I did for my windows machine was that a few weeks earlier and yet when I try and load all new project, created on any windows machine, Mac copy said that was created on a newer copy.

    Well, after two multi sessions remote time with Adobe, with a less than helpful gentleman who finally used the phrase "it works on my machine" The other session more yet successful eradication of some massively complex file, but the system is now updated correctly again.

    If the fix to this problem is set aside a few hours and start a remote session with Adobe (I just hope that you do not get the first guy).

  • Windows will work not day after I installed the windows updates.

    The next day, I installed the Windows updates, I turned on my laptop a short Vaio splash screen is displayed and a black screen comes up saying that "Windows couldn't start. A recent hardware or software change might be the cause. "I don't have the installation disc of Windows that it suggests to use the software is preinstalled.  The safe mode and last known good configuration and the start windows normally get Windows running.  It is simply scrolls a list of code and ends with a line crcdisk.sys, goes to a blue screen for less than a second, then goes to black screen.  All the help I could get to address this issue would be greatly appreciated.

    If Safe Mode doesn't work no and you don't have a Vista DVD from Microsoft, do a repair disc to do a startup repair or a system restore:

    Download the ISO on the link provided and make a record of repair time it starts.

    Go to your Bios/Setup, or the Boot Menu at startup and change the Boot order to make the DVD/CD drive 1st in the boot order, then reboot with the disk in the drive.

    At the startup/power on you should see at the bottom of the screen either F2 or DELETE, go to Setup/Bios or F12 for the Boot Menu.

    When you have changed that, insert the Bootable disk you did in the drive and reboot.

    Link above shows what the process looks like and a manual, it load the repair options.

    NeoSmart containing the content of the Windows Vista DVD 'Recovery Centre', as we refer to him. It cannot be used to install or reinstall Windows Vista, and is just a Windows PE interface to recovering your PC. Technically, we could re-create this installation with downloadable media media freely from Microsoft (namely the Microsoft WAIK, several gigabyte download); but it is pretty darn decent of Microsoft to present Windows users who might not be able to create such a thing on their own.

    Read all the info on the website on how to create and use it.

    ISO Burner: http://www.snapfiles.com/get/active-isoburner.html

    It's a very good Vista startup repair disk.

    You can do a system restart tool, system, etc it restore.

    It is NOT a disc of resettlement.

    And the 32-bit is what normally comes on a computer, unless 64-bit.

    How to get Vista recovery Media or the Vista recovery Partition on your computer back to factory settings.

    There is no Vista free download legal available.

    http://eSupport.Sony.com/Perl/select-System.pl?PRODTYPE=1, 24,26,66,9,70,5,72

    Contact your computer manufacturer and ask them to send a recovery disk/s Vista set.

    Normally, they do this for a cost of $ small.

    ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
    In addition, ask them if you have a recovery Partition on your computer/laptop to restore it to factory settings.
    See if a manual provided with the computer or go to the manufacturer's website, email or you can call for information on how to make a recovery.
    Normally, you have to press F10 or F11 at startup to start the recovery process...
    Another way I've seen on some models is press F8 and go to a list of startup options, and launch a recovery of standards of plant with it, by selecting the repair option.
