CSM 4.0.1 server requirements

I've got the CSM 4.0.1 installation guide and am interested in the requirements of the min server / recommended.

To run CSM 4.0.1 with VMWare, the OS is recommended for Windows 2008 Enterprise Server (SP2) 64-bit.

Alternative OSs that are supported are:

-Windows 2003 R2 Enterprise Server (SP2) 32-bit

-Windows 2008 Enterprise Server (SP2) 32-bit

My Server team tells me that our standard OS to use and support is Windows 2008 R2 Standard (SP2), and they are reluctant to load upward and support any other OS. They said that sometimes the documentation, as this CMS 4.0.1 Installation Guide, lags behind the actual supported OS for an application, so they asked I have contact Cisco and get the most currant supported OS requirements.

So before I open evidence of the TAC with Cisco in order to ask the question, someone on this forum knows for sure if CSM 4.0.1 is supported or is NOT supported on Windows 2008 R2 Standard Server (SP2) - 64-bit?  The 'Standard' and 'R2' are major issues.

Win2008 R2 64-bit support will be added in 4.1 (planned).

At the moment it is not officially supported.

  • the wpad.home to the dsl router server requires a user name and password

I recently downloaded some files for Silverlight and Microsoft Microsoft Security Update.  Now I started to get this message when I start my computer that says "the wpad.home of the dsl router server requires a user name and password", there also a warning that this information is requested on a non-secure server.    I hit Cancel and the window disappears and everything works, but I'm afraid that I picked up a virus and I don't want to put the password of my router in this screen.  Is this really a thing of Microsoft, or do I have some type of virus?  I run all my virus software and it found nothing, but I'm still worried.  Is any way to get rid of him?

  • TestStand remote EXE Server requires authorization?

I would like to eventually integrate remote TestStand EXE Server on the operating system for our systems for purposes of remote control and testing during manufacturing and field service processes.

Are there any requirements required for each installation of the remote server EXE TestStand?  Again, I would install this on every system we make.

In my view, that Steven misunderstood your question, because you were making reference to the remote server EXE and not executing a sequence on the remote system.  You are free to install Remote Server EXE on any computer you want without obtaining an additional license.  Server remote EXE will allow you to call any executable (or open a file as specified by your operating system from TestStand 4.2) on this machine.  You must have a valid license on the computer that initiates the remote call and TestStand, but you are free to copy remote server EXE on remote machines as much as you want under your current license.

  • What are the 3rd party hosting server required to run sites with Muse Web export on the html option?

I understand a large part of PHP or SQL things Don t like this, but would like to know what is required.

I know that I need to buy a domain name and the hosting server with the name of the server, e-mail server and enough space to fit my files, server but I need something else?
Oh and regardless if it's windows or linux servers?

HTML, HTML5, PHP and SQL are languages.

Ask the host if you can host HTML files (all hosting service professionals can do what those I mentioned in the second paragraph here) and you mention exported Adobe Muse.  Tell them which computer you use, how you plan to get the files uploaded to them, and they will answer on linux and windows servers.

The largest and most popular servers If you use not Adobe Business Catalyst or the server of the client are bluehost, hostgator, godaddy, network, netnation solutions.

You didn't mention what you needs, such as blogs or e-commerce site, it is therefore impossible to tell if you need "something else." But the people running the host servers that I mentioned above can direct you. For Adobe, you can also ask on the forum of Business Catalyst.

  • Shared server required for outdoor work remote?

    Hi all

We are moving to the programming of different remote shell on the Scheduler to Oracle scripts and therefore need to put in place the database to handle this, which includes the HTTP port assignment, creating remote objects in the database hourly etc.. In the Guide of the administrator (for Oracle 11 g 2, Chapter 30), he also says to "ensure that this shared server is enabled. Does anyone know if this is really necessary? We organize currently dedicated server mode and prefer not to change this just for the sake of the Scheduler. Also, Mr. Rood's excellent book on the Scheduler makes no mention of this requirement.

    Thank you
    Tobias

Thanks for the compliments on my book :-D

As much as I know there no functional reason to switch to the shared server. If you want to run huge amounts of work of short duration, I can imagine that this shared server could give a performance advantage because it can respond more quickly to requests. Shared server processes are already in place, where the dedicated server process always needs to be started for each session.

  • New Plesk server - require the host file entries

New server plesk is falling into place and I was told that it "requires entered host file" and to move forward and implement that.  I'm at a loss... ever been asked to do before when moving websites on new server.  Any help is most appreciated!

The mine has exactly two entries I have comment/Uncomment if necessary. What you have that is written to your hosts file?

You might have a phishing/spyware/adware blocker program, adding sites to block.

But you should make sure that it is not adware/spyware-phishing attacks that make writing.

  • ACS 5 + bookmarklet proxy server requires authentication

    Hello

I'm curious to know if the following scenario is possible:

I have 2 x ACS 5 +, located on different subnets. I have a MR configured to authenticate on the 1st two ACS systems. A user tries to connect to MR. If the 1st ACS can not find this specific user in its database (internal or external), is it possible that 1st ACS to send a request for 2 GBA, so it can check is the database?

Each ACS has a different user database (for example users the first GBA will be not be configured on the other and vice versa).

Someone has heard strange at this thing? It is possible (at least in theory)?

I'm always looking here and on the Internet, but until now, I couldn't find anything related to this kind of concept.

    Thank you!

    Hello hug,

Never saw its use, but if you want to do it for RADIUS authentications I guess it would be possible by:

1 configuration ACS 2 as identity on ACS 1 RADIUS server

    2. you set up a sequence of identity store, based password and select the internal users and servers Radius ID defined earlier as authentication servers. They will be checked in a top down approach until the first authentication succeeds. Please refer to the screenshot:

Don't know what version of ACS that you use, so I'm including 5.2 links to documentation.

    Stores of radius of ID:

  • Minimum server requirement

I could successfully implement vcloud with 4 esxi servers?  Architecture reference documents season 3 for room management and 8 to consumption, but I don't see anywhere that a lot of material is needed.

You may deploy it "successfully" with a single ESXi server so that will take care of all of the virtual machine, you will be running within vCD.  You must first determine how many VM, what resources they will use, growth potential, and the type of material you want to use.  Then you can come up with hosts how much you need.  I started with 2 and am more and more at 11.

  • 'replace' vCenter Server requirements?

I built our initial 4.x hastily vCenter server, now I need/want to replace.

As far as I know, I can stop the 'old' vCenter VM, put in place the 'new' vCenter VM with the same IP and name, then re - build the data center, HA cluster, etc..

I know vpxa.conf store the IP address of the vCenter.

Another thing I would like to know/do?

Note: 3 hosts, < 20 virtual machines, internal SQL data base.

    Thank you, Tom

you get a dialog box when you attempt to add the ESX host, something being managed by different vCenter, but you can click OK to add it again.

Do not forget to re - build trees of permission and everything that is specific to vCenter.

    Kind regards

  • Internal server requirements

I'm the Noobs Noob when it comes to ColdFusion, please bare with me.  I am the administrator of a section on the company's intrAnet.  All sections are on our internal server, and especially all sections still use FrontPage as their web program.  However, I use Dreamweaver in CS4.  All of our topics in the intrAnet are "Static" Web sites  Due to the huge amount of content section (150 + pages of menu HTML and 5000 + PDF, HTML, Excel and Word files), we are strongly considering to change to a "Dynamic" site, which should facilitate the management of the huge content much easier.  That's why I'm looking for ColdFusion.  I have no experience with ColdFusion, but what I understand it's program to solve our many problems, like filling menu pages, when it is called, with the associated file, using some sort of metadata file (don't know if I'm using the right conditions, once again, big Noob here).  If ColdFusion is the tool for us, I believe that it is, I will get training on the use of the program.  But first, I need to know if our server can allow ColdFusion to work or that we need to make it ready ColdFusion.

Here are some details that I think are important...

Everyone on our network uses PCs, not Macs.

May be almost everyone using IE 7 or 8, some use FireFox or Chrome.

The site I manage is strictly IntrAnet, the website is completely separate.

The content of the section, I managed must reside on the server, PC is only used to make changes to the content.

    Dreamweaver CS4 is currently used.

All programs and/or software must be purchased and licensed. We are on a strict vigilance of what programs we use on our computers and servers.

So, I would like to know what programs or software are needed to get there?  ColdFusion? What else? (Don't forget, we have no programs at this time to support the type of Web site, we want)

    Any information is greatly appreciated.

    Thank you.

You will need a web server capable of running ColdFusion (that you probably already have). You will need a database server, which, ideally, will be a separate machine - you already have one of these in your environment. Check with your COMPUTING organization of this.

You will need the ColdFusion software. Probably, you have not the Enterprise version unless you use Oracle for the database server. If you do not have a database server, you will need database server software. There are various platforms in server software free database that you can use, in addition to Server non-free commercial database software platforms.

That's all you need really, as far as get material goods. Developers can use existing copies of Dreamweaver, or free editors of virtually any kind. Developers who specializes in ColdFusion may prefer using ColdFusion Builder, which is a non-free editor available from Adobe.

But most importantly, you'll need is to actually learn how everything works. This is not a trivial thing. I recommend that you get training. Of course, as a ColdFusion trainer, maybe I'm a little biased, but the development is quite complicated, even when you use ColdFusion (which is designed to be as simple as possible).

My company is a reseller for Adobe ColdFusion, and we provide on-site and remote training using training materials authorized Adobe. Feel free to respond to me directly if you are interested in one of the people, and I'll be happy to help you. Of course, there are many other providers who can help you with these two.

  • connecting to an FMS server requiring a token

    Hello

I came across a bit of a problem and I could not find a way to solve it.

I want to connect to a FMS, which requires a token to be spent inorder to authenticate and establish a connection. I was not able to understand how to pass parameters to netConnect to use when it connects to the SGF.

What I've tried is creating a URLResource and setting this url and adding an authentication for her token. This does not work, so I guess that the FMS is configured to accept something in a different format.

By making an explicit netConnect.connect ("url", token); It allows me to connect. Is it possible to do so using what is at my disposal in OSMF?

Could someone point me to some examples to help me if this has been done before? (Couldn't find any )

Yes, use StreamingURLResource instead of URLResource and use the connectionArguments property.
