CSS Hotspot on centered Image

Hi, I set up the CSS following hotspots on a picture of the banner:

This div takes the entire width of the page. It contains the background image and wraps the div. of banner:
. Banner-wrap {}
Width: 100%;
height: 388px;
float: left;
position: relative;
background-repeat: repeat-x;
background-image: url(images/banner-bground.jpg);
}

This div is 970px and is centered in the banner-wrap. It contains the image and wraps the access point:
. Banner {}
height: 388px;
background-image: url(images/banner.jpg);
background-repeat: no-repeat;
background-position: top center;
}

It's the div. of hotspot that contains the position and size of the form of hotspot. It wraps the links of access point:
.banner .hotspot {}
Width: 90px;
height: 90px;
position: absolute;
top: 30px;
left: 30px;
}

so, here's the code for the structure:

< div class = "banner-wrap" >
< div class = "banner" >
< a href = "x.html' class = 'hotspot' >"
< / div >
< / div >

What I want to do, is to have the hotspot to follow the banner image because he "move" when the browser window is also.

I tried without success to the following:

(1) set of class a .banner width fixed 970px. This in fact uncentered banner image somehow.

(2) define .banner .hotspot positioning in percentages instead of fixed coordinates. Made no difference.

(3) value .banner .hotspot relative position. No effect

Can someone tell me what I need to do?

Thanks a bunch,
MIke

That said, a text or a link to the image is usually better.

  • EPub with Apple Pages centering images

    I use Apple Pages to create an eBook (I know I could have used InDesign, I'll use it for the next!). All the text is there, I used topics, and I am very satisfied with the result. However... When I export to ePub, the images are not centered. They are focused on the use of PDF. Take a look at my settings of the image pages to the following screenshot:

    The image (this is an example, but all 150 images in this way) is aligned to the Center by using the "Align" function you can see to the right, but when I select 'Center', it does not move (because it is already in the Center), and displays Align. I don't know if it's good or bad.

    As you can see, the image is aligned to the right when I export the ePub book and open it with Mac iBook. This is exactly the same on my iPad / iPhone. The image fell thus: look at the difference between the pictures shown in the screenshots that I added in this message.

    I'm running out of ideas and I hope you can help me.

    This is my first post on the Apple support forum, so please tell me if I could have explained something more accurately! :-)

    Thank you!

    Well, it's not too late to redo it in InDesign. The following has been done in v5.6.2 on OS X 10.11.6 Pages.

    I inserted and centred on an image in v5.6.2 Pages with above and below the text. The result when you export to PDF showed the image centered in overview and Acrobat Reader. When exporting Pages to ePub3, the image was right-justified in iBooks and saw that centered in Sigil 0.96 and Calibre 2.63.0.

    I decided to see if I could fool iBooks. With the help of Sigil, I added changes in style of book.css and referenced in the chapter file - 1.xhtml. Here, I'm telling you the div containing the image to use 70% of the width of the ePub with 15% margins on each side, apply 1em margin top and bottom margin of manoeuvre. Because the image is inside the div, I'm ordering him to use 100% of the container.

    After that I saved these changes in Sigil. The ePub open in iBooks with the centered image designated.

    I don't think you can fix this issue within Pages centering v5.6.2 image.

  • Centering images

    What is the best way to center an image on a page.  I can't do that with a new CSS rule... I accomplished it by wrapping the image in an h1 since my h1 tag is centered, but something tells me that this is not the best way.  No oh my new rules seem to work to get it centered and would appreciate any help certainly.

  • How to use CSS Transition of an image (navigation tab) move higher steady-state?

    I added padding and increase the height of the navigation bar to give place, but the images do not respond.  The Transition CSS function instead of the code outside of media from the media query and so I move it inside.  It does not in any way.  The pictures didn't budge.  This is not a problem with a nav footer where I use text instead of images and can easily change hover text and other States.  Problem seems to be in getting the Transition CSS function to work with button images.  I also tried to change the images to the expansion buttons and it does not work either.  Since the pictures are links, I have them in the html code.  I can't put in CSS and get them to work as links, unless there is a way that I'm not aware of.  It is perhaps part of the problem.  But given that many sites use images as buttons in nav that I believe that there is an easy solution.  Would be very grateful for help.

    Personally, I try to avoid using navigation based on image, because whenever you modify your site and menus, you must re-craft the images in a graphics application.  After 2 or 3 revisions site, it ages in a hurry.  More importantly, CSS style text links are much better for SEO, the translators of robot and screen readers.  Images of text may not be indexed, translated or "seen" by screen readers.

    That said, it's how to make the graphical buttons with image sprites. No complicated transitions JavaScript or CSS required.  It is made with the background images, background-position, and indented text links.

    • Hotspot on rollover image

      Hello

      I have a reversal of the image and I would like to put a couple of hot spots, links to other pages on the rollover image. for example on this page http://pixeld.99k.org/comics.htm, I like to have hot spots on "part 1" and "part 2" on the rollover image for the first image on the page. ". I tried to put them on the original image, but when you hover over the hot spots he turns back to the original image. Oh!

      Thank you very much!

      D

      You can easily do this with a normal javascript rollover.  To do this, you will need to use a hidden container, absolute positioning exactly overlaid on each image, where is the new image with hotspots.  Then your working capital would rather show/hide behavior to display the previously hidden container.  This would then reveal the new image with the hotspot.  Finally, you will need to have an event mouseout/mouseouthandler() on this new image again hiding the container so that the original image is visible again.

    • CSS: background or background image

      Why the background and background-image produce different results?

      They should not.  They both make the same thing in CSS.  The 'background' property is just a shorthand way to write the multiple background properties in one statement:

      http://www.w3schools.com/CSS/css_background.asp

      See shortened on the page for a better description.

      If you are running in a particular problem with the version of shortcut, you can post what's happening, what you expect to happen, and the code that you use.

    • Definition of poetry (2) centering images?

      It's a solid proposal to prefer in many cases, adopt the good tradition of the Center (horizontally) the images on the pages, where the margins do not play their role dominating. The new margins or (now) spaces, are the same in both sides and related to the left and right word nearest the beginning and end of lines. And variable all the time.

      Perhaps the reason behind this is that whitespace is applied democratically, with the result a text floating on (poem), producing a superb presence centered on the page.

      I tried to implement an automatic process rather than drag the right side to the left until it is perfectly adapted to the long line and later centering on the page, fortunaly using smart guides. But this hand process is just a waste of time.

      InDesign has a tool to vertically fix the framework (framework to adapt to the content), but it does not work horizontally.

      It is scriptable?

    • How to create hotspots on background image?

      Hi, is there a way to create a hotspot with a link (or something that does the same job) on a background image?

      Thank you!

      Hello

      Simple answer, no.

      You can create a transparent gif 'empty' to go above your background image and set your hotspot in it.

    • problem with a css option and exporting images

      I looked for an answer to this small inconvenience for days that maybe someone can help out me?

      on the adobe tv section States Jim Babbage around the 12:00 mark that you can export EVERYTHING using the css and images-exporter like when using the option.you export html and images can be seen here:

      http://TV.Adobe.com/#VI+f1594v1010

      My problem is the check box for "current page only" is grayed out that so always check if I'm unable to export all pages at once in the option "css and images".

      I tried setting my preferences, and searching the forum and came up empty. does anyone know how to access this option?

      This occurs only in the css and images export option not in other export options that allow all pages to export at the same time.

      It is a nuisance minor I know but I would really only my programs work as they are supposed to (asking too i know, I know, but we can always hope!)

      Thanks in advance!

      is attached a comparison side by side (mine & adobe)

      In fact, the link you posted is from video of James Williamson.  To any

      rates of these videos have been created - including my own - that we used

      beta versions of the software, and sometimes features in the beta

      are not in the final version. This is the case for the multi-page

      exporting CSS and images. At some point in the beta version, it's a feature,

      but there were stability problems with the export of multiple pages for CSS

      and Images, so it has been removed during the FW THAT came out.

      There are other concerns I had with the export of several page to

      time, you ended up with a stylesheet for each page or incorporated

      styles for each page, which does not - IMO - a lot of sense. Defeats

      the purpose of a style sheet.

      HTH clearly things!

    • Tips for the HTML and CSS code enlarge an image when you click on it?

      Hello

    • CSS and Images random Kaosweaver

      I have looked everywhere and can't find an answer to this and have an email for the developer, but thought I would ask here as well.

      I use Kaosweaver Advanced Random Images to rotate photos on a homepage in the editable content area.  The CSS style for the text in the content area is to align to the left.  When I insert the command Kaosweaver) even if I insert it with the cursor in the middle of the page of the image line upwards on the left of the page.  If I do a CSS rule that centers the text there is no way to apply it to images that I can say... except that if I go in the code and find the name of the image in the code of Kaosweaver, select it and do a right click it allows me to apply the CSS rule (even if I see no visible change to the rule.  Is this OK and it will eventually cause problems on different browsers etc.?

      Is there another way to do it.  I could see to attach a second style sheet for this page with centered elements, as there will be only another line of text on the page so that it will matter that everything on this one page is centered, but I don't want anything on centered pages.

      Y at - it an easier way to solve this problem.  I was surprised Googling what no one else seems to have this problem... I do something wrong?

      Thank you.

    • Background images are not displayed (CSS, other images ok

      I tried to empty cache, watched: config for odd configurations, made a private window and disabled all extensions. None of them had no effect.

      Test pages: Amazon.com and https://developer.mozilla.org/samples/cssref/background-image.html - two of these pages have loaded by CSS background pictures. For example, the Amazon logo at the top left is a background loaded from a CSS page. The image itself can be found in gross:
      http://g-ECX.images-Amazon.com/images/G/01/gno/sprites/global-sprite-v1._V339353059_.PNG

      This image cannot:
      https://developer.Mozilla.org/samples/cssref/images/starsolid.gif

      But why, why why these images are displayed on their relevant Web pages? I see that Amazon, eBay, and many other sites Web without a range full of images. In particular those used for menus and other important navigation buttons.

      Here's what I see on the Mozilla page mentioned above: I see the text, but no expandable star image. It works in other browsers and on other computers in Firefox.

      The page that I tap on right now has no blue background, windows are not correct (as the search engine is not a rounded grey area) and the magnifying of research is missing. So this experience makes it impossible the use of simple pages.

      Firefox 32, Vista

      It was a strange setting. I have it set, then updated some of the relevant information on the subject myself. Here's the question:

      If the preference of the user browser.display.use_document_colors in subject: config is set to false, the background images will not display.
