CSxx uninstall them before installing CS6

I installed Master CS4 Suite, 5, 5.5.  Can I uninstall it before installing the CS6?  Or what I need to keep?

I have a Vista 64 bit and I update to Win 7 next month.  So I'll have to re - install.  During this re - install, same question, do I have to re - install CS4, 5, 5.5 and 6 or can I just install CS6.  CS5, 5.5 and 6 are updated.

Thanks for a quick reply :)

It's your decision, you can have or remove them, CS6 installation does not require any previous version already installed, just the serial number of the previous version as o if purchased an upgrade.

    Well?

Yes, in all cases, you must uninstall the beta before installing and the current production version.

    Hi pbwindrush,

Yes, that would be a good practice first to remove the trial version of Lightroom CC and the both creative cloud desktop application if you have no other creative cloud application to use.

After that, you can install Lightroom 6 either from disk or the below mentioned link:

  • Do I need to uninstall it before installing a ps/2 compatible mouse

    Hello

should I uninstall ps/2 compatible mouse? prior to installation you recommended

First a little advice.  If something is not broken, do not fix it.  You say something tells you that your mouse driver was obsolete, but it was the work of the mouse?  If it was, it was a mistake to fool with the driver.

In regards to your PS/2 mouse, is what brand?  The Synaptics driver sounds to me that it would be for your touchpad, not your mouse.  Your touchpad works?  Worst case, you can buy a USB mouse and use it.  You can buy these for as little as $4.

If you need to come back before you begin the update of drivers, you should study the system restore back to an earlier date at the beginning of the problem. To run system restore, click Start-> programs-> Accessories-> System Tools-> system restore. Click on the box that says show more restore points.

When you got your system back as you, I invite you to buy an external hard drive, and a good backup 3rd party program. You can configure it to automatically do everything in time and frequency of your choice. 1.5 TB external hard drives is approximately $90 these days and a very good FREE backup program corresponds to the Easeus todo backup free of charge that you can download from

http://www.todo-backup.com/products/home/free-backup-software.htm . Who can make you save a lot of time and frustration, the next time something like this happens. Sooner or later, it happens to all computers for one reason or another.

    Good luck.

  • Should I remove CS4 after installing CS6?

I upgraded to CS6, yet my CS4 programs are still on my computer. Should I delete them manually? And if so, all my files created with CS4 will remain functional on my computer with the CS6 update?

When you upgrade you assign all previous installations... updates install / run independtly of applications that they are upgrading.   It is not necessary to remove the old version when you upgrade to the new versions, but it is best to uninstall them before installing the new version, if you want to uninstall.

As much as CS4 versions files versus the software improved, Yes, the old files should be able to be opened and edited by the CS6 version, although you will not be able to save the files as CS4 versions if there are changes that you want to keep.

  • Should I uninstall CS4 master collection before installing the master collection CS6?

I bought CS6 Master Collection (DVD) and I wonder if I need to uninstall CS4 before installing the new version?

Depends on what plug-ins and tools you use, and whether or not they are compatible with the CS6. If this isn't a problem, and you are reasonably sure you don't need a fallback option, to uninstall CS4 before installing the CS6 is indeed the way to do it. It is completely optional.

just a question will probably not uninstall because I don't want to wait for the answer... I want to do it now

You don't need to uninstall CS3 before installing CS 5. Many people keep several versions of the suite on their computer. However, you probably want to uninstall the Acrobat component, since you can't run a version of Acrobat on a Windows computer without running into problems. If you have a Mac there is no problem.

bobba1, CS6 and CC are two separate applications. Thus, it is irrelevant at all, how or in what order uninstall you.

If you do not want to keep both of them, you can install CS6, maybe after or before installing CC, your choice.

It is the same with Lightroom.
