  • CTRL-Alt-Del bring up the Task Manager

    CTRL-Alt-Del bring up the Task Manager

    Some malicious software is aware of the methods you're most likely to use to find and remove it (Task Manager, System Restore, command prompt, Internet, Google, etc.)
    The malware does not allows you to use things like the Task Manager to find and remove, so it prevents them from becoming a process running on the system and the process will not start or the process will be completed as soon as it is launched.
    The malware is happier when he let you think you need to use system restore, a repair install or reinstall your XP from scratch to fix your system when none of this is necessary.
    You can fool the malware (and then fix it).
    Assuming that your Windows is installed on your drive C, using Windows Explorer, navigate to the folder c:\windows\system32 and locate taskmgr.exe.
    Copy the taskmgr.exe file and rename the copy something malicious software will not recognize.  I like to call the copy:
    c:\windows\system32\jose.exe
    Double-click on jose.exe and see if the Windows Task Manager window opens now.
    The problem is the malware won't let the taskmgr.exe a running process, but he does not know jose.exe as a process running as well
    beat you all (I have a feeling that he will well a day on jose.exe).
    Will not 'fix' your task manager, but at least you will know whether or not the Task Manager mechanism works (taskmgr.exe still not start properly).
    If you try to remove some malware and the need to use the Task Manager, you can simply launch jose.exe (double-click) instead, but your system will always be afflicted, until you remove the malicious software.
    Usually, there are a few other things that also don't work you would probably find out later, so I recommend you do this:
    Reduce the risk of malware by running some scans.
    Download, install, update and do a full scan with these free malware detection programs can solve any problems:
    Malwarebytes (MMFA): http://malwarebytes.org/
    SUPERAntiSpyware: (SAS): http://www.superantispyware.com/
    It can be uninstalled later if you wish.
    The scans by operating clean, restart, test your task manager and we can repair any other pending issues.
    If things look good, you can delete the c:\windows\system32\jose.exe file.

    Do, or do not. There is no test.

    In iexplore.exe pinned to the start menu. There is an arrow on the right of the element, and when I click it ot shows tasks.

    In any case to remove the arrow?

    James

    No, the arrow indicates a list of shortcuts. Sound have an apparent which is a part of Windows 7 that allows you to quickly access recent activities associated with Internet Explorer. You're going to either click on Internet Explorer or not, so hovering over it is more a desired action as need for any change. • I can't get the full window with tabs, or other controls. I have to use Ctrl-alt-delete to close the window.

    After loading on KnightNews link, all the stuff missing header - box of Firefox, minimize button, remove the button and the only way out of the KnightNews was Ctrl-alt-delete. I now find that any time I use Firefox, I have the same problem. I deleted the program, reinstalled, did a restore of the system, all to nothing does not. When I click on Firefox to open it, the full window appears briefly, then the whole screen is filled with the opening page Firefox. By clicking on a program in the historic area brings up, but it's the same scenario - Ctrl-alt-delete is the only way out. • arrows move the object in opposite directions - default type in vertical orientation

    Hi Illustrator community.

    Two questions were really annoys me and so far I've been unable to find a solution:

    On my Macbook Pro 13, 2012 ", in this version of Illustrator CC (not a problem for other products CC), the arrows are somehow put out: using the left/right arrows moves objects vertically, and using up/down arrow keys moves objects to the left and right." Even if I tried to get used to it, it's really slow me down I checked the preferences and keyboard shortcuts, and unless I'm missing something, there seems to be a setting for this?

    Also when using the standard tool (not the vertical type tool), initially type is placed rotate 90 degrees counterclockwise, and after that I flip back to a horizontal position, I can move and edit fine. Any suggestions?

    Thanks in advance,

    Mark

    Mark,

    Edit > preferences > General > constrain Angle should be 0 degrees.

    If this is the case, Illy may think, it is not, and then she made a mess of things (and perhaps other things, too). In this case, it may be time for the list below.

    Unless you subscribe to the vertical version.

    The list:

    Sometimes, (some) things may fail or stop working for no apparent reason. When (other) possible reasons/remedies do not work, it is perhaps a kind corruption (temporary or permanent), or even preference settings which disturbs, which can be cured with something on the following list put in place in order to provide a catch-all solution for otherwise intractable cases. It starts with a few easy suggestions and safe) 1 and 2) for cases less serious and goes two ways 3) and 4) to reset the default preferences (easily but irreversibly and more laboriously but more completely and also reversible), then follows a list 5) various other possibilities, and it ends with a complete reinstallation 6). If no other suggestion doesn't work, or if no other suggestion appears, you can start on the list and decide how to go or who can apply.

    The following is a general list of things, try when

    (A) the question is not in a specific file,

    (B) you have a printer installed, connected and turned on if it's a physical printer (you can use Adobe PDF/Acrobat Distiller as a printer by default without the need to have a printer on, of course you will need to specify when you really need print on paper), and

    (C) It is not caused by problems with opening a file from external media (see below).

    You tried/made some of them already; 1 and 2) are easier for temporary strangenesses and 3) and 4) specifically may be corrupted/inconvenient preferences); ((5) is a list in itself and 6) is the last resort.

    If possible / there is, you must record a current work first, of course.

    (1) close Illy and open again.

    (2) restart the computer (you can make up at least 5 times);

    (3) close Illy and press Ctrl + Alt + Shift / Cmd + Option + shift during startup (easy, but irreversible);

    4) move the folder (follow the link with this name) with closed Illy (more tedious but also more thorough and reversible), for CS3 - CC you can find the file here:

    https://helpx.Adobe.com/Illustrator/KB/preference-file-location-Illustrator.html

    5 look through and try the relevant among the other options (click on the link with that name, item 7) is a list of the usual suspects among other applications which can disturb and confuse Illy, point 15) applies to the maybe CS5, CS6 and CC);

    Even worse, you can:

    6 (A) uninstall (check the box to delete the preferences, if any), B) run the cleanup tool (if you have CS3/CS4/CS5/CS6/CC) and C) reinstall. It is important to use this step three way: otherwise, things may persist.

  • ALT-click to move the items connected on block diagram

    Often, in the diagrams, I would like to be able to drag all the elements connected together to keep them in the same relative position to each other.  Currently, to move multiple items, you will need to select them (stretching), then click and hold to move.  It would be convenient if you could just hold Alt, then click and have Labview automatically select all connected items until you have clicked.

    You can not. If you really want to delete a thread, you can send a note to the facilitator. Simply select 'Report to moderator' in the menu Options (above and to the right of the message). I'm assuming you want it to enter the exchange of ideas of LabVIEW.

  • best way to 'up' arrow to the right of the left vs screen

    Hello

    Not if the left margin I have added here's a good idea. It works - which means that the arrow is in place I want. But it's a bad habit... is there a way so that it can calculate and come from the right to a smaller increment? (I have experience with values of left & positive + negative margin without much luck).

    I want to know: good as it is, or that could be improved?

    {#back - back to top

    -webkit-transition: 1 s;

    transition: 1 s;

    }

    #back - top a: hover {}

    Color: #000;

    }

    / * the arrow (span tag) icon * /.

    #back - top span {}

    Width: 60px banner;

    height: 60px banner;

    display: block;

    bottom: 85px;

    right: 100px;

    background: #939598 url('.. / img/up-arrow.png») no-repeat Center;

    }

    #back - top a: hover {span

    background-color: #777;

    }

    Thank you.

    Since this is a fixed position element, you can use right, left, top and bottom of the attributes.

    Using something as right: 0; would put the item on the right edge of the window of the browser at any time, without the need for all the margin settings.

  • In the new version of Firefox 29.0.1 removed the ability to move the right side navigation buttons. Restored version of Firefox 28.

    I always work hard and with Firefox. My customization assuming that it is transferred always organize buttons back and forward in the navigation bar on the right side which was convenient for a quick job. In the new version of Firefox 29.0.1 deleted the possibility of moving the navigation on the right side buttons... Firefox is not flexible enough for the user. Really sorry. Restored version of Firefox 28. More frequent to not remove the flexible adjustment of the navigation keys. Thank you.

    You can move the navigation buttons in Firefox 29 if you install an add-on.

    2. Open the modules (Ctrl + Shift + A Manager; Mac: Command + shift + A), then the Extensions category.
    3. Beside the classical restaurant theme, click on the Options button.

  • After you enter a URL and hitting 'ENTER', nothing happens, except if I click on the arrow at the right end of the block URL.

    In the block of the URL, there is an arrow curved to the right end of the block. When I put the cursor in the block in preparation for the opening of a URL, the changes of curved arrow to a right arrow, pointing to the right. After entering the URL and pressing ENTER, nothing happens. If I click on the right arrow, I am taken to the desired site. It started to happen about 2 weeks ago. How can I solve this problem, so that when I hit the Enter key, I am taken to the desired site?

    This problem may be caused by the AVG Safe Search extension.

    Start Firefox in Firefox to solve the issues in Safe Mode to check if one of the extensions or if hardware acceleration is the cause of the problem (switch to the DEFAULT theme: Firefox/tools > Modules > appearance/themes).

    You can see on the AVG site if there is an update available.
