CTS - Man prequalification Wizard 1.6

Hi all!

I have some problems with checking CUCM connection on the CTS - Man prequalification Wizard 1.6. It fails every time.

I downloaded the IE (tpCUCM) and subsequently renamed .cer certificate to der. When I find the certificate of pre-qualification of CTS-man Wizard and run the run, the result is always failed. I also tried a .cer file, but in vain.

Here is the log:

Newspapers,

It looks like that part SSL is not yet established, can you please try the following:

we can try to regenerate the cert in tomcat,
In CUCM
set cert regen tomcat
Then restart Cisco Tomcat
downlaod new cert and try again
let us know otherwise upload complete log file please

  • Change of hostname in CTS - MAN

Our CTS - MAN server software has been loaded, but we do not yet have it configured for use. Is there a way to change the HOST name? I tried the CLI command SET NETWORK HOSTNAME that seems to work and causes a reboot, but after he comes back to top the web interface is inaccessible (using the IP address as before). I have to use the CLI command to change the HOST name to the original before I can access it via the web interface again. We have the version 1.5.0.0 - 384 ongoing enforcement.

Not supported, we need to reinstall

  • Verification of CTS - MAN multiple capabilities of doman (forest) AD

According to the release notes located here:

    http://www.Cisco.com/en/us/docs/Telepresence/cts_manager/1_8/release/ctm_rn1_8.html#wp72803

It is said that CTS - MAN supports multiple Active Directory forests since 1.6.x.

Maybe I'm paranoid, but I interpret this to mean can I implement field multiple "users" each having a totally different root.

So I'd have an A (dc = DomainA, dc = com) domain user, another user in domain B (dc = DomainB, dc = com), and yet a user 3rd field C (dc = DomaineC, dc = com).

I ask because I've deployed this dozens of time server, but I've never had a multiple domain (not subdomain, which is different) solution and I just make sure I'm covered.

Unfortunately, no, this isn't what multiforest means about CTS-Manager. Domain is different from the forest in Microsoft jargon.

You can configure CTS-Manager with several areas in the * same * forest simply by adding each area under the domain of the user container.  In this case, you have more than a forest.  For example:

    Forest: SOCIETE.com

    Domain name: us.company.com, eu.company.com, apac.company.com

Default context: DC = company, DC = com

Containers of user: DC = us, DC is company, DC = com, DC = EU, DC is company, DC = com, DC = apac, DC = company, DC = com

If you want to specify the containers of users within each area, depending on the scenario above, then the configuration would be similar to below (according to the existing distribution of the AD, of course):

User container: CN = Users, DC = us, DC is company, DC = com, CN is Users, DC = EU, DC is company, DC = com, CN = Usere, DC = apac, DC = company, DC = com

I believe in the 1.7 documentation areas by peers, they are called:

    http://www.Cisco.com/en/us/partner/docs/Telepresence/cts_manager/1_7/Admin/ctm_cfg.html#wp1092434

Caution: we met real problems of authentication using the scenario above, if set up under CTM for Exchange account does not have rights/permissions to access resources in other areas, particularly in large organizations.  However, the above may work.

Multiforest, Microsoft supports two deployment methods - between forests and forest resources.  CTS-Manager, we support that the model of forest resource - in a forest, you have the resources Exchange (rooms) and the other you have a forest of authentication (users).  There are user accounts disabled in the Exchange resource forest associated with users in the forest of authentication.

More information can be found here:

    http://TechNet.Microsoft.com/en-us/library/aa998031.aspx

For the configuration of the CTM, the first of all and so by default and the second LDAP in CTM contains the forest of authentication server LDAP in CTM must contain the Exchange resource forest.  The Exchange Server that is configured in CTM must be the forest where, of course, Exchange is installed.  This should already be installed on the back-end of the client before deploying the CTS Manager.

  • Integration of CUCM, CTS and TMS

We currently have a 8.6/CTS-Man/CTMS CUCM environment for our telepresence system.  All systems are CTS only.  Currently, connect us to a Tandberg system via Server CUBE/VCS/telepresence.

We are looking at the possibility of integrating the two systems together.  This would involve decommissioning our CTS-man and using their existing planning TMS.  Networks would be open to each other so that they didn't cross highway of CUBE/VCS.

Can someone tell me please to some documents on the integration of the TMS with our CUCM for planning?

Furthermore, is it possible to have a single MSDS to perform the planning on the two CUCM registered CTS and saved VCS Tandberg endpoints end points, as well as to perform planning tasks for Community trade marks and MSE8000/telepresence Server?

    Thank you

    Hi Nick

It is a very good question, and the bellows are drawn from the responses on the features that each product can provide you (CTS - Man and TMS) however as we know the TP Cisco world is changing and moving quickly if the bellows has been updated / changed and can someone comment on this topic will be great for us

    Meetings 1-booking

    TMS:

    -adhoc and meetings,

    -3rd-party endpoints reservation.

    -Ms Exchange, Domino, and API

    CTS - Man:

-mainly used for endpoints STC booking

-You can book and include cisco webex

    -Ms Exchange, domino and API

    2 features

    TMS:

    -End suppliers Multi points

    -Telephone directories

    -planning of conf

-management endpoints (monitoring, Reporting, strong alerts... etc)

    -commissioning

-integration with 3rd party such as Ms exchange

-"There is no button to push" for the endpoints of CTS (you can add CTS alis for TMS rooms and book it or add the E164 of the external endpoint CTS as a participant and not these means are a button to push the meeting!

    CTS-MAN

    -integration of calendar

-Midware between CTS, CUCM system and society of calendaring system

-provide 'a button to push' scheduled meetings

-provide interoperability simplified such planning via Cisco MXE

-Live English option and CTMS geographical selection

for each of them can provide you with options and features and its depends on the needs of your business, you could keep both or just go with one, if you have endpoints of VCS I would say for sure to the TMS

  • Change of domain in the CTS Manager invalidate the license?

I need to change the field used in the existing CTS-Manager, but I'm afraid that if I do so, the license will be becomes invalid and CTS - Man will be unusable until I can get a new permit. Will be invalid license if I changed the domain?  I know that I need to import the LDAP server certificates and exchange news, but I want to assure you that I do not lose the license. I couldn't find the answer in the documentation. Help, please.

    Thank you

    Tony

    Tony:

CTM is installed on a physical server or VM Ware?

On your question - change the domain name on the CTS Manager will change the MAC license, which would be non - I just tried to change only the domain name on my MC in the laboratory, and after it restarted, the MAC license remained unchanged.

If you change the DNS servers, however, the MAC license will change - seen elsewhere on the field and in my lab.

    As a general rule:

On a CTM installed on a physical server license MAC will not change if you change the name of domain/DNS.  It must always be the same.

On CTM as VM, MAC license will only change if you change some settings.  The MAC license is generated according to certain parameters, so if you change those, MAC license will change accordingly.

I still need to find a specific list to the Community trade mark as to what will change the license MAC, but it should be similar to the list of items found on the side CUCM:

    http://www.Cisco.com/en/us/partner/docs/voice_ip_comm/CUCM/rel_notes/8_0_1/Delta/VMware.html#wp1054450

  • Can we replace the primary codec CTS 3000 with CTS 1000 codec

    Hi all

Please correct me if I'm wrong.

Physically CTS 1000 codec and CTS 3000 Primay Codec is the same air, I would like to know what is the difference between the two codecs.

Suppose if I replace the main codec CTS 3000 with codec CTS 1000 it'll work?

The difference is only between the firmware... ??

If I try to download the firmware CTS 3000 in CTS 1000 codec does?

Also add codec CTS 1000 in CUCM as Codec CTS 3000?

    Kind regards

    Nikhil Jayan

    Nikhil,

Are the only thing you need to know about 2 codecs GEN 1 or GEN 2. On the GEN 1 all the microphones connect to the primary codec. On the Gen 2 microphones connect through the audion expansion area. You can see the difference on the codecs on the Gen 2, you can see 1 connection for the Center microphone and a connector square for the cable to the AEB.

Other codecs are exactly the same. Endpoint gets its configuration file in Communications Manager. So once go you MAC address and restart the endpoint it will go the new configuration file. If you use a CTS Manager, you will need to go into the Application user in the CUCM and move the MAC address of available for controlled devices. You will then need to make a discovery of the room in the CTS - Man.

The firware for both codecs are the same.

    I hope this helps out.

  • Community trade mark as well as TMS in a demo

    Hi all

We followed demo in our office:

    CUCM 8.6.2 <->SIP trunk to VCS 7.02

    CTS1300

    TSM 13.1.2

    C Codec

    Of MXP

1.5 CTM (will be updated at the latest)

Is it possible to us in a CTM 1.8 with TMS 13.X DemoLab?

I have now run successfully TMS with CUCM with the BBFRR (on the CTS also on the Codecs it) works very well, very well.

    Any input appreciated.

    Thank you.

    Best regards

    Georg

    Hi, George,

As long as you have CTS-Manager and TMS manage planning meeting for the different endpoints, which should work.

CTS - Man 1.8 will be able to discover endpoints that you saved to CUCM 8.6.2, and you can manually add those that are registered in the VCS; but remember to avoid setting up 1 end point that will be managed by the CTS - Man and MSDS.

    Kind regards

  • TMS in favor BBFRR and direct office

    Hello Experts,

I just need help to know if TMX XE will support all the features of CTS Man. We are currently stuck with our current version of the CTS 1.6 and who won't support integration with Exchange 2010 EWS. We do have a TMS XE 3.0 and need to know if it will support BBFRR, direct office and all the other features. Could someone help me please?

    Thank you

    Shine

    Hi, shine,

About the BBFRR Yes its support. !!! However for the functionality of direct office if you are looking for a feature of 'concierge' as a Manager for CTS then I don't think that we have something like this in TMS.

But you can have a speed dial to achieve this goal, but it is not related to MSDS. I hope it clarifies.

    Thank you

  • Button missing meetings on 12 Touch for TX9200

We are experiencing a problem with the touch of meetings shows don't not on the touch 12 for a TX9200 registered to CUCM. Currently we have only three buttons at the bottom of the touchscreen: call, presentation and much more. We meet the requirements of compatibility that I found on the (in Datasheet TX9000

( http://www.cisco.com/en/US/prod/collateral/ps7060/ps8329/ps12453/data_sheet_c78-702104.html).  We run CUCM to 8.6.2 and tried 1.9.3 and now 1.9.4 on the TX9x00.  We have configured in CUCM room name to avoid the bug CSCuc53226.  I checked the codec and the touch panel to run the same version of the code.  Us have set several trial sessions and do not see the button of the meeting at all.  Screen saver is set by default detailed.  We tried to restart, restart the TFTP service in CUCM and reclassification of 1.9.3 to 1.9.4.

    Issues related to the:

Is there a way to factory reset just the touch 12 as you can with the Touch 8?

Currently under detailed system information, I don't see anything next to the midlet version. That I should?

Unfortunately, there is little information on the CSCuc53226bug.  If the name of the room has not been configured when the device recorded first, how can it be corrected?

    Am I missing something?

    Thank you

    Scott

    Solution:

The meeting softkey only appears on the touch pad once a CTS-Man or TMS takes control
over the device. Even though the codec is showing as registered on TMS it maybe necessary to force TMS to
take control of the device by  pressing the enforcemanagement settings on TMS.

  • Command line question

Customer has 52 profile and EX90. I'm looking for orders from command line to have 'A' 'B' call, then the Conference to 'C '. I'm currently testing several ways and want to ensure that the call is pushed over the MCU.

    Thank you

    Hello

I recommend to check on the guide of the APIs here.

The command to place a SIP call to the 1920 call would be:

xcommand. dial: [email protected] / * / SIP protocol: bandwidth: 1920

    xCommand Dial

Dial a number from the system. Returns information on the CallId and ConferenceId, which are necessary for some other commands.

Number: Enter the number or address. Protocol: Select the Protocol h.323 or SIP. CallRate: Fix a rate of call. CallType: Select the type of audio or video call.

BookingId: any identifier that an external booking system (e.g., TMS, CTS - MAN) can use for its own references to match calls placed with the internal identifier systems of booking for a meeting. This can be any string, for example, a GUID. The reservation Id will be provided in the call connects, events of appeal etc. for the call.

    Requires the user role: USER

    Parameters:

Number (r): Protocol: CallRate: <64..6000>TypeAppel: BookingId:

    Example:

xCommand Dial number: 543210 Protocol: h323 OK * r DialResult (status = OK): CallId: 2

    ConferenceId: 1 * end

I have not tried to climb multiway but I would then try to hold, call another point of termination, then the command joining.  Looks like you need to the Callid returned by a command call xstatus .

    xCommand Call Hold

Put a call on hold. The CallID returned by operating the xCommand command Dial. During the call, you can run the xStatus calling command to see the CallId.

Requires the user role: USER settings:

    CallId (r):<0..65534>

    Example:

xCommand Call Hold CallId:19 OK * r CallHoldResult (status = OK): * end

    xCommand call Join

Join all existing, active and put calls on hold.

Requires the user role: USER settings:

    No parameters.

    Example:

xCommand call Join OK * r CallJoinResult (status = OK): * end

  • CTSman backup

    Can someone please confirm:

    In a telepresence environment:

CTSman and CUCM backup should be performed when there is no active session? Is that a mandatory, recommended or not at all.

This affect the meetings at all?

    Thanks in advance,

    Kind regards

    Anjali,

Thanks for your question. I'll try to answer it, but feel free to let me know if I misunderstood or miss part of what you're asking.

    1. both the backups CUCM and CTS - Man are designed to be scheduled when the system is in use. Most of the customers must provide these for the night or at times of low network usage, but the backup does not interfere the operation of servers or calls that are in progress. (hoping is a sized server properly, according to the recommendations of Cisco)

    2. backups are recommended in the framework of all good disaster recovery plan and the frequency depends on the needs of the customer.

    3. in the case of the CTS man, some other process will take place at the same time as the scheduled backup. In time, you have a scheduled backup, a discovery CUCM refresh will take place, and a full synchronization of exchange or domino server will run as well. These processes will not affect already scheduled calls, but in larger environments can delay the processing of new meetings, we recommend that you backup will appear after hours, or at least in a period of use below.

  • TPServer 8710 - Custom conference ending the notification text does not

    Hi all

in our network, we have 8710 TPServer and etc.

the "Conference of custom ending the notification text" does not work

    What do you advise?

    tkanks a lot.

    Hi Onur,

    We have therefore 3 numbers

Conference custom ending the text of the notification, notification of CTS - Man 10 minutes and 2 minutes of GST.

This should be no Rendevouz for meetings,

    -What version of CTSMAN?

-Do you see the BBFRR in CTS?

    -See you BBFRR in C20?

-Do you think the meeting scheduled in CTS - Man?

-When in the conference can you send a normal text to CTS?

    For one of the question:

Use of conference custom ending the notification text

    Ending Conference custom notification text

    End notification text Customer conference

    If you check the help:

Use custom Conference end notification text allows the telepresence server to use a personalized message to warn participants that the Conference ends.

The telepresence Server uses a message by default unless you check and write a personalized message. The default message is that this conference is about to end.

Does not apply to the Cisco CTS endpoints.  See the reference endpoint interoperability for more details

  • Use the command line to call EX60/C40

    Hello

I'm looking to use the command line or xml to call extensions of our EX60 and C40. I want to automate the call made by the devices. We use 9.1 CM and TC6.

In addition, if someone knows if it is possible to configure ERA/Hot Dial so when a user picks up the phone on the EX60 it automatically connect an extension? I tried through dialing SIP and ERA rule in CUCM.

To dial the command line, you can use the command 'xcommand dial.

  • schedule meetings with the TMS and CTManager on the same endpoint

    Hello everyone

I explain my problem, we have a CUCM with CTManager to plan meetings of the CTS, we have 2 VCS with a TMS to plan meetings of TC endpoints also.
Our TC end points are saved in venture capital using H323, recorded in CUCM using SIP and exchange of email to can program using the CTManager. And TC endpoints are supplied by our TMS.

As endpoints of TC may appeal to the endpoints CTS sometimes we have meetings planned between TC and CTS endpoints in the CTManager, but if schedule us a meeting by using the TMS, meetings of CTManager disappear and endpoint show TMS meetings, if we do a resynchronization of the electronic mail room in the CTManager We can see again in the meetings of CTManager in the touchscreen.

We tried not to allow bookings for this endpoint of TC in the TMS, but later there is no way to schedule a meeting for this endpoint, even using the external call.

You know any workaround solution to activate the two calendar options running on the same endpoint without removing the CTManager meetings? We don't need the BBFRR for the TMS meetings, only for meetings of the MLC.

    Best regards

    Hello

Disabling power of the TMS write calendars 'Meetings' on managed systems is not supported. If an endpoint is added to the TMS, TMS assumed that endpoint is not used in another system of planning (such as CTS - man) and could replace any parameter that depends on the other system of planning.

    Kind regards

  • CTS Director - Deputy of prequalification

    Hello guys,.

Has anyone tried to use the pre-qualified Wizard?

I have problems past the calendar server config. In my scenario, I need to integrate with a MS Exchange 2010 cluster that uses a virtual IP address / domain name FULL to handle all requests. When I try to run the calendar, I get:

-Impossible to test the connection to the calendar server: unable to establish a connection with Microsoft Exchange server as HTTP/1.1 302 redirect

As far as the mail administrator tells me to connect directly to an Exchange Server is not an option.

Any ideas will be greatly appreciated

    Hi ionutionescu,

Can you confirm that you use only the Web integrated test of the prequalified tool server and not the WebDAV test (System-> select Calendar Server-> Microsoft Exchange EWS)? I think we see this error when the wrong thing is selected.

    Otherwise:

Is a firewall/proxy between the computer that you are using the PKG and Exchange?

Is it possible to test it with a single CAS server to see if the results are different, or which is totally impossible?
