CUCM VCS question

Hello

have a problem with the composition of CUCM to VCS (7.1). The girl scout way works fine.

I played with the rules of search and transformations, but it won't work. The terminal on VCS is a SIP device.

Here is the log:

Could someone help?

Concerning

Jason

Jason,

the desitnation is coming as "[email protected]/ * /: 5060" and intellectual property should be 10.224.35.249.

What to change here, it's changing the rule search.

No source

Regex (. *) @10.224.35.249 ((:|;). *)?

replace action

chain-[email protected]/ * /.

the SIP AOR is [email protected]/ * / so I think it should work after the chnges to find the rule.

Alok

  • Calls to the CUCM VCS for non-local domains

We have a situation where there is a single VCS control Expressway, CUCM Pub and and Sub 9.1. In the documentation it says to add a SIP road ground is *. * or *. VCs.domain.

Since we have only a single control VCs and highway, clustering is not required and the SIP domain would for example company.com.

CUCM FQDN is set to domain.com.

Now, the domain configured on CUCM being company.com, name will be the *. * model of routing SIP send everything to the VCS with a URI?

Example - Bob and Tom EX - 60 end points are all two CUCM registrants. URI have been set up for their the DN @domain.com

Dials of Bob [email protected] / * /

CUCM will try and send this call to VCS first, even if Tom EX - 60 entered CUCM?

SIP routing model applies to endpoints calling other points of endpoint registered to CUCM?

    Hi Daniel,.

The CUCM that command searching table of URI, is similar to DNs (directory numbers) and RPs (model road). Basically the CUCM will attempt to find the URI locally. If it is available, it will send the call to the URI. If it is not found, it will try to find a match in the SIP routing model. Thus, in you case the default model URI (* or *. *). This is done if the URI does not exist locally.

  • CUCM (8.6 - 9) or VCS

in the new videoconferencing infrastructure, which is the best option, only CUCM or VCS with CUCM?

What is the future of VCS, if new versions of ex60... ex90 c20 sx20... come with direct integration with CUCM?

    Thank you all

My Adviser for any installation of greenfield is to use CUCM; However, it does not entirely replace VCS, and it should in the near future. Here are some examples:

    • VCS control is always the product of call control recommended for video customers other than Cisco (Polycom, Sony, generic H.323, etc.). This is also the case for other types of interoperability (for example IPv4 to IPv6).
    • VCS control is always necessary for the travesal firewall Ascend/H.460 to work with VCS Expressway. Any call to the Internet would be CUCM--> VCS - C--> VCS - E--> Internet.
    • VCS Expressway is always required for any client capable non-AnyConnect located on internet to register; CUCM is not intended to be directly Internet facing.

CUCM is Cisco Lighthouse call control platform and this will be the design choice by default unless one arrises specific requirement that excludes it. Perhaps, if the client doesn't have a Cisco UC today and don't ever be (which seems unlikely that frankly), you may be able to justify a VCS approach only. The days of a compartmentalized video compatible infrastructure seem well numbered.

  • CPL configuration for the handling of source on VCS - E

    Hi all
When we tried to have a video call with an external company on the VCS - E, the address IP of CUCM appear in the distant field rather end when making external calls.

It occurs because the SIP URI field on the sx device interface has completed our IP CUCM ( [email protected]/ * /)

We are discussing with the TAC engineer, this problem can be solved by making one of these options below
    • 1-) field of sets for the CUCM so the field will not appear the IP address.
    • 2-) save endpoint on the VCS.
    • 3-) script on CUCM to change the SIP header and standardization for more details you can check out the link below:
    • 4-) - write scripts CPL on the VCS.
    • According to above choice, the only way to solve this problem for us applies a CPL
    • as much as I did research it is also not possible to change the source with the CPL on VCS - E. is it good?

anyone can share me a CPL configuration for this manipulation? What I would do is this show get [email protected] / * / instead of [email protected] / * / address.

    [email protected]/ * / > [email protected] / * /

    our topology is device SX > CUCM > VCS - C > VCS-E > Internet

    VCS version is X8.7.1

I would send me a CPL config for it.

    Thanks in advance

Can you provide a copy of your rules of research of VCS and a search for the call history failed.

  • Cisco TelePresence SX20 + VCS 8.2 Server and Skype for business 2015

Nice day! My name is Dimitri! Have Cisco TelePresence SX20 + VCS 8.2 Server and Skype for business 2015. Is it possible to set up a conference call SFB and appeal to all subscribers of this conference? At present, we can only call on a single client and SFB. We have the current version of the software TCNC5.1.4.295090 SX20 - is it possible he obnoviti 7, and it will help to improve the situation? Thank you!

I'm no expert on this technology, but I have some idea and already deployed some projects dealing with the integration of Cisco (CUCM, VCS) video infrastructure to Microsoft video infra like Lync. It would be the same process to make it work in your case.

How does your deployed SFB? How do you do a conference for audio and video, participants can join the conference by dialing?

    • Mediation server would be required as a front-end server for you to integrate IP/PBXS using SIP trunk to enable voice (audio) Conference with the participants to the PSTN.
    • AVMCU Should be (Audio video Multipoint Conferencing Unit) will host the video conference that will include video endpoints as participants.
    • Video of Interop (SCREW) Server would be required to interface your SFB to third video conference infrastructure such as Cisco UCM or VCS for the endpoints Cisco call client SFB of endpoint of Cisco to participate to the conference organised on SFB by dialing the conference number.

I'd say contact your AM SFB or Support as well for queries about how to plan your infrastructure SFB and direction.

  • URI external numbering of CUCM

    Dear all,

I currently have a configuration of laboratory for communication between Cisco CUCM and the Cisco VCS. Here's what I've been able to achieve in the distance

Call of CUCM to the endpoints registered to the VCS

Calls from end points registered in the VCS to the endpoints registered to the CUCM

What I want to achieve is external URI numbering of the CUCM to external domains through the VCS highway.

If for example I dial [email protected] / * /, it is resolved to [email protected] / * /-address of the VCS (configured on the trunk between the CUCM and VCS). I know this is a default behavior.

I need to know how I can change the CUCM such that it provides the exact address, I'm composing, i.e. [email protected] / * / VCs without any change made

    Kind regards

    Osho

What version of CUCM and VCS are you currently using?

What is your CUCM and VCS setup/detail as in:

    • CUCM: VCS SIP Trunk (trunk and profile security SIP Trunk SIP)
    • CUCM: Models of road
    • CUCM: Models SIP road
    • CUCM: SIP rule standards applied to the trunk
    • VCS control: you can join a history of research output
  • TMS, CUCM and MCU

    Hello

One of our clients have a MCU5320 and it is registered with the CUCM as SIP. Also, they have a VCS + Expressway VCS control for internet calls. Now the customer plans to buy Cisco MSDS management systems and planning conferences. I don't know if we can schedule conferences on the MCU that is registered with the CUCM VCS not only through TMS. Where do I sign the MCU to the VCS to program by MSDS?

We want to do this because we do not have enough licenses non-traversal appeal with respect to the control of the VCS.

    Kind regards

    Chambers oumar

    Hi Marc,

If you register with CUCM MCU, you wil not be able to plan the Conference through it. You can use it for ad-hoc conferences.

However, if you register MCU with VCS, you can use it to conferring both scheduling and ad - hoc MCU.

However, if you go for TMS, your TMS can also monitor CUCM. I'm not sure benefits.

    It will be useful.

    Thank you

  • Tandberg 1700 display name

I have a Tandberg 1700, I only have one profile and it is enabled, and my display name is stored under this profile. When I call any other VTC (not same model) the full name isn't what I put as, what Miss me? Thanks - also I don't have a manual of sorts, so I'll just out of what I found through various parts of the menu settings.

Can you tell us how you have configured 1700, it uses CUCM/VCS for appeal, or autonomous control?  You use h.323 or SIP to connect to others, and what end points or devices you connect to?

Usually if you use H323, the display name will be drawn from the E.164 Alias or ID H323, SIP has an option called nickname.

For user guides and admin, and other related documents, refer to Cisco TelePresence system 1700 MXP.

If you have any further questions on this, you move this thread to the section of telepresence of forums, where these devices are actively discussed.  To move the thread, edit and modify the categories at the bottom of the page.

  • Call SIP with Tandberg C40

I have a Cisco Tandberg C40 codec and have been making H.323 calls for an organization with no problems.  The organization is now making changes and demanding that I connect to them with their new SIP address.  When I try to connect, it is said immediately that the call could not be connected.  What are the requirements for placing a SIP call with the Tandberg C40?

    Assuming your C40 has the version of the TC6.x software;

go to network found under Control Panel Services and enable SIP.

Don't forget of check that SIP is selected as the Protocol to call when calling this company that the default calling Protocol can be set to H.323, SIP and H.320, so if only make you SIP calls, and then upgrade the SIP, but if you do mostly H.323 calls, then put to H.323, and select SIP among the options of appeal when the dial - or even more easily, add this address to the local directory with specified as a SIP call Protocol.

Just turning on SIP will allow you to make outgoing SIP calls, however, if this company wants to call you, then they can call you only using the public IP address of your system - and they could even not able to do according to their deployment, policies, etc.

If you want people to be able to call you using a SIP URI as [email protected] / * /, then you need to register your system with a Registrar SIP CUCM, VCS - C, etc. and also have SRV SIP records in place.

  • SX20 block unwanted call during the session of the video conference

    Hi all

It should be your advisor on it

I have a set of SX20 that is configured as a standalone device (No. CUCM, VCS).

Its work fine, able to make and receive calls through the IP address.

Things in our video conference meeting, is sometimes a unwanted number would call us and disrupt the flow of the meeting.

I don't know how they get our IP address, but we don't expect their call.

Is there any way a setting to block many unwanted call us or disturb us during the video conference meeting.

Is there any configuration that I need set the SX20 itself to prevent the unwanted phone number

    Please notify

    Titebiket

This is probably a scan SIPVicious or similar, which is how the call is 'you find '.

I have not tried it myself, but there is a selection option or not to allow incoming calls when already in a conference call:

     Conference 1 IncomingMultisiteCall Mode: Deny

  • The SX20 language setting cannot be saved after restarting the device.

    Hello world

Anyone encountered below the question before?

I have a SX 20 with the TC7.1.4 software, when I change the default language to another, it will work, but after restarting, the automatic restore of the default language. I have tried the factory reset, but this isn't a job.

Can someone help me? Thanks in advance!

    Billy

How did did you deploy the device (CUCM, VCS, TMS,...)?

Have you tried to reboot the device without the network that is attached to it?

I wonder if CUCM or TMS reset your language, have you checked the parameters / models here?

What languages do you speak? Have you tried to update to TC7.3?

  • Rules of research and the local area

Hi I am a newbie in VC and follow the deployment guide and manage to make the following call flow design and be able to make a video call to outgoing [email protected] / * /

    endpoint > CUCM > VCS - C > VCS-E

    I have two questions.

    (1) when I try to create the rule to search for local area, I don't see a local area instead of target area. When I go to the area and create the new zone, I don't know what to choose for the local area.

    (2) I managed to call traversal for only cisco.com field because I create the rule search for cisco.com with the following parameter.

Any Any NO. Alias matching Regex (. *) @cisco.com(.*) Replace Continue Crossing area

But when I create the same rule to search for another domain, it does not work. I like to do rule the research to be able to call all the other external domain.

Please notify and appreciated any suggestion.

You have Expressway series not VCS.  VCS has local areas because VCS can make the device records, while the highway is not because he spends at CUCM, so there not need a local zone endpoint to register for.

Deployment Guide of what you're talking about, it's probably for VCS?  You should go the the way Express base Configuration Deployment Guide X8.5.

  • Sx20 does not seek to make the IP to call with H323, after the first attempt failed with SIP

    Hi all

We use the Sx20 SIP with CUCM registered devices and also register H323 with VCS - c... There are also a few registered with VCS - E external SX20.

    Sx20 > CUCM > VCS - C > VCS-E > Sx20

the defaultcall Protocol is selected Auto (SIP, H323) on devices SX20.

SX20 on cucm cannot call IP when defaultcall is selected as auto, it is able to call IP through VSC - C only when defaultcall is selected H323 on Sx20.

We cannot change the defaultcall as H323 because we cannot make a call since sx20 on CUCM sx20 on vcs - e

someone has an idea to make the two whole scenerio? Perhaps there is a feature to do this on sx20?

    your response will be appreciated.

    Thank you.

Take a look at these examples of configuration - Dial IP addresses registered to CUCM endpoints with VCS/highway. This would work in your environment.

  • TP Codec SX20 on UC540

    Hello

Hope you read my story. This is my first time doing just that.

I am currently doing an audio/video/IP telephony via IPSec Site to Site VPN (OpenVPN HP Server).

For the site (new site), I have a VPNServer open HP, a UC540 and a bunch of SPA504G phones configured using the CCA.

For site B (old site), we have the same implementation with the exception of some application servers and a telepresence codec Tanberge C20.

But it is not me who makes the setup to site B, so I'm not aware of the rest of the details.

I set up a static route on the A-UC540 pointing to the network site B site, the next hop ip address is the ip address of the site A openvpn server.

I did the test of site A, and I can already make calls at site B and vice versa.

But today is another story to the site A. I am trying to connect a telepresence SX20 codec to UC540 to make video calls on site B.

The thing is, I can't save the sx20 on UC540 using the Configuration of Cisco's Assistant. So, I open a case with Cisco TAC and got 2 engineers of telepresence to assist me (strange?) and discovered that SIP and H323 are inactive. They said that they did not the integration between sx20 UC540 (they made only with CUCM, VCS, TMS, etc.. I told them that we have almost the same configuration in site B with codec C20.

Then, I got the codec C20 of the B-site configuration because I do not know if they are supplying the UC540 as the external Manager.

After xconfig/xstatus, I saw that the supply mode/directory server is "TMS", but I did not even send to Cisco TAC. And site B have also SIP and H323 inactive, but their telepresence works and has been there for a long time.

It is possible the sx20 codec to UC540 layout uses the CUCM mode? Or there is no need to save it and just set up the video calls from site to site?

I really have no idea how to proceed.

Any response and help will be appreciated.

    Hi Bernard,.

close this discussion if the issue is resolved

    UC540 not supported for registration

and the second problem was solved through factory reset.

    Thank you

  • SNMP device through cisco TMS

    Hello

I have some devices (2 CTS 3010, CUCM, GST of VCS - C and 3 2 1) managed by a Cisco TMS. I want to monitorate all devices to a network/system like HP OpenView management tool.

Is it possible to leave the TMS works as a server snmp / trap receiver, and transmit received traps to network management tool? In other words, is there a way to configure trap forwarding in TMS?

The TMS, I configured the IP address of HP's OpenView under network configurations, but it doesn't seem to work.

On CUCM, I configured the Ip address of the TMS as trap receiceiver.

    Thanks in advance

    Hello

TMS uses only SNMP interruptions for older systems (MXP, TANDBERG classic). Traps SNMP of newer systems (series C, CTS, MX, E20, SX20 etc.) and products (CUCM, VCS, MCU, gateways) network infrastructures are ignored by TMS. (it's not mentioned as well in the documentation, but I'll look in there clarifying). So no, you can't configure the transfer of trap in TMS.

But why do you need TMS to send traps to an external system; could not do of your endpoints send traps directly to the external network management tool?

    Kind regards

    Kjetil
