Cursor may not click on anything whatsoever

Original title: slider

I don't know the technical language. I'm having a problem with the cursor. Normally the arrow cursor changes to a form of hand when we need to click somewhere, for example "log" in a site. but my cursor remains in the form of arrow, and nothing happens when I click on a place that I have to. like, I can't sign my email once I connect because the cursor does not change its form. someone can help me.

Hi aman74,

1. did you of recent changes on the computer?

2 does the problem only occur when access to links?

3. What is the serial number and model of the mouse?

4. what web browser do you use?

It is possible that some third-party programs installed on the computer is causing the problem.

I suggest that you configure the computer in a clean boot state and check if it helps.

To help resolve the error and other messages, you can start Windows XP by using a minimal set of drivers and startup programs. This type of boot is known as a "clean boot". A clean boot helps eliminate software conflicts.

See section to learn more about how to clean boot.

I have recently experienced this extremely strange fault when you browse through the online Apple store. I can't click anything. None of the links, hyperlinks, buttons, images or text can be clicked or highlighted. Everything is visible and seems normal, but I can't click on it. It is only if there is an invisible overlay in the html code that covers the entire page - even the top menu.

But as soon as I click on buy or go to the store looking for a product I have this problem (for example on - http://www.apple.com/dk/shop/product/MLA22LB/A/magic-keyboard-- fransk - usa? e = 9 d fnod). I tried to open the website on Firefox and Chrome and it works fine - but not on Safari. Ironically, I knew only that on the Apple online store and not another site.

Anyone have any idea what is the problem? It's really annoying because I use default Safari on my iMac and don't like to spend between browsers whenever I'm browsing through the online Apple store.

    Hi Josh,.

I don't know how you have that set up. It's weird that it won't let you close the menu, however, I put together a simple demo. Take a look below to see how I implemented the Muse file.

  • I can't click on anything. I uninstalled lightroom and downloaded on another drive, but I can not click on anything whatsoever.

I've been using lightroom for almost a month or two, and it worked very well.

I guess you can open and close the program normally?

Close LR, then hold down the ALT and SHIFT while opening the program.

It must then be asked if you want to reset the preferences - click Yes.

Maybe this will fix the problem.

  • Messages that continue to come whenever I click on anything whatsoever

Whenver, I click on anything on my computer, I receive one of several messages.  Back, forward, except as background, select all, create a shortcut, add to Favorites, encoding, properties.  Another message I get is to restore, move, size, minimize, maximize, close.  Another message I get is Cancel, cut, paste, copy, delete.  Another message ups is op, open in new tab, save, cut, paste, copy.  I press F10 and it goes only to come back when I click on something else.  How can I get rid of these messages?

Don't right-click on the icons.  I think you describe the context menus.  They are not messages, they are options.  You can do with the file or folder you do right click on things.  Usually you will see those before doing an action, not because of an action.  If you see people randomly without doing you anything, then you have probably a bug or a virus.  But before you do anything else, do a right-click on an icon and see if I'm right. Start Firefox in Safe Mode to check if one of the extensions (Firefox/tools > Modules > Extensions) or if hardware acceleration is the cause of the problem.

    • Put yourself in the DEFAULT theme: Firefox/tools > Modules > appearance

  • Firefox will not open even for a split second, shows the page to update norton toolbar in this time and closes before I can even click on anything whatsoever

Firefox refuses to stay open for half a second. I deleted everything regarding Firefox on my computer, have run Norton Power erasers, am running a full system scan, and even tried to see if Norton was blocking it somehow. I don't know if it's some sort of error, processing, because the last time it worked he asked to update to firefox, and then he said that it was not compatible with the norton toolbar. After update, it crashes like this. I have re-installed many times off my internet, checked the Task Manager and nothing. I have no idea.

System: Windows 7 32 bit, running on an eMachines computer. Never had this problem before.

I actually ran it as administrator and it seemed to invite firefox finally to do whatever the heck he was doing. Thanks for the help!

    Hi dear,

1 are you aware of any hardware of software changes made recently on the PC?

    2. what anti-virus software is installed on the PC?

It could be a third-party program (especially an anti-virus) window that is to appear every time or it could be a virus or a malware at the origin of this problem.

Please follow these methods and check if that helps.
    Method 1:
To find the program that is causing the problem, you can start Windows by using a minimal set of drivers and startup programs. This type of boot is known as a "clean boot". A clean boot helps eliminate software conflicts.

How to troubleshoot a problem by performing a clean boot in Windows 7

    http://support.Microsoft.com/kb/929135

Note: Follow the section 'More information' to reset the computer to start as usual after a clean boot troubleshooting.

    Method 2:
Performs a search using the Microsoft safety scanner.

Note: The Microsoft Safety Scanner ends 10 days after being downloaded. To restart a scan with the latest definitions of anti-malware, download and run the Microsoft Safety Scanner again.
Important: The data files that are infected must be cleaned only by removing the file completely, which means that there is a risk of data loss.

  • My trackpad will not move my mouse and the cursor will not click or give any indication that she works

I got my new TOSHIBA Satellite laptop for about a month, and all of a sudden, as soon as I sign into my account from Microsoft, the cursor either disappears or said and stops working. It will not go with my trackpad, an indication that it is active, due to the fact that the mouse goes down on the tiles Metro UI normally, but don't highlight. On the trackpad buttons do not work as well.

I had this same problem happen to me. I have a Toshiba Satellite C855D-S5315. I went to the Toshiba, and click Virtual Help Desk Web site. Immediately options pop up, and you'll see the option "The Touchpad does not work". Click on that and it will take you to the appropriate page. Start with the first option. That's what fixed it for me. If you can't get on the internet, that's what it says to do:

Enable/disable the touchpad, do one of the following:

    • Press the button to switch on/off touchpad above the touchpad.
    • Hold down the FN key and press F9 .
    • Press the touchpad button (F5).

    After that, my touchpad worked.

If it still does not, have the rest of the solutions say:

Try to uninstall the touchpad driver and restart your laptop:

    1. Vista and Windows 7: Open the Start Menu and type "Device Manager" in the search field. Select "Device Manager" in the results.

Windows 8: START screen type "Device Manager".

    2. Select Device Manager > mice and other pointing devices > right-click on Alps Pointing-device > select Uninstall.
    3. After that uninstall the driver, reboot your computer. Driver will be installed automatically.

If this does not resolve the problem, try to perform a restoration of the system to a date before the problem occurredCLICK HERE for an educational video on the restoration of the system.

If the touchpad is still not working properly, the laptop needs to be repaired.
