Cursor moves automatically while you type

Original title: when typing (particularly e-mail), if I stop typing a few moments my cursor rolls over all email.

The cursor sometimes jumps to the area of topic, the position of the sender of the previous one, in the middle of a sentence, at the end of the email - you see the idea.  Indeed, the cursor jumped just to the 'previous' word at the end of the word "cursor" at the time I was typing.

Hi mimi,

When you type, the cursor automatically goes to different places.

The question may be due to the corrupted drivers.

1 did you do changes on the computer before the show?

2. What is brand and model computer?

3. using a laptop or desktop?

4. using a wireless mouse?

5. have you ever tried to disconnect and reconnect the mouse?

I suggest you follow the steps mentioned below:

Method 1: update the driver mouse

See the site:

Updated a hardware driver that is not working properly

http://Windows.Microsoft.com/en-us/Windows7/update-a-driver-for-hardware-that-isn ' t-work correctly

Method 2:

If it is a laptop, you can try to decrease the sensitivity of the touch pad, a desk with an optical mouse to try to keep it on a rough surface or try to reduce the sensitivity of the mouse.

Refer to the section to change how the mouse pointer works in the site:

Change the settings of the mouse

http://Windows.Microsoft.com/en-us/Windows7/change-mouse-settings

I hope this helps. If the problem persists, let know us and we would be happy to help you.

    Hello lobelia 3206,.

Thanks for posting on the Microsoft answers Forum.

Since you're on a laptop, I suppose that you have a right of trackpad under the keyboard. It may be that you hit the trackpad with your wrist or Palm when you type.

Try to change the sensitivity of the mouse and see if that helps or if you have a setting to disable the trackpad when you type. I have

Click Start, control panel and select slider and change your settings in there...

I don't know where the settings would be for the Compaq Presario but you can always check with the manufacturer to get the correct settings for your laptop.

This happens all the time, but fairly regularly in the e-mails and occasionally in word documents.

  • Guard cursor jumping around while I type

    Original title: keyboard

I type some words and all of a sudden, I noticed that the cursor jumps back and I find myself typing in the middle of my sentence.

Has anyone encountered this situation and what solution did you find?

    Hello.

    Using a laptop?

In many cases when people feel things like that, it's because they rest their arms on or around the touchpad and touch accidentally while typing. Try typing something and don't forget to keep your arm clear of the touchpad to see if it has an effect any.

    Response

    Hello

Check with support of the manufacturer system, documentation online or forums that there is probably
Shortcut keys that enable and disable the touchpad functions. You may also be able to adjust the
    sensitivity.

Parameters for TouchPad located in the control panel - mouse (there may be several tabs with TouchPad entered)
and some come with a utility that loads in the Notification area next to the clock in the bottom right.

  • The mouse cursor moves randomly while typing.

Hi guys, I was typing in mandarin especially when I use windows live messenger and have no problems with him. Lately about 2 days back, this problem started.  The problem that I am facing is that at random times when I place my mouse to a position where I want to type something, in the races of cursor. By example, if I want to type something in one of my windows live contacts messenger chat box, the cursor blinking indicating the type runs. Then a little box will appear on any where right above the task bar and I start typing in this little box. Next to the box, there will be an arrow which I can click and he said: "complete the chain. I suspect that this must be my language setting I messed up with and have no idea how do to reverse the trend back to normal. Someone has an idea how to fix it?

Thank you. Any help will be much appreciated.

    Hello

If it is a laptop, please set the sensitivity of the mouse.  This could be the cause of this problem.  In addition, I would consider doing a restore of the system at a time and one hour before this problem occurring.

-Create an another user account and check if you still experience this issue.

    -Test in Safe Mode

    -SFC / Scannow

I hope that this information is beneficial.

  • System makes the rattling while you type

Original title: small but annoying problem hits

Sometimes while typing, I hear a click in the background or a regular program will open.  When I return to check out what I wrote, several characters will be missing and that I must make a few changes.  I am running Windows 7 HP 64 bit with 8 GB of ram.  My memory usage is generally less than 20%, you would think that a hiccup of typing with this system would not result in an interruption of the system.  Is there a way I can change priorities or something so that this does not happen?

    Thank you

I hope you were able to find the cause of this, but just in case...

Go to Accessories > ease of access > ease of access Center

Click on 'make the easier to use the keyboard.

Under "make it easier to type" position, and make sure that all boxes are DISABLED for StickyKeys, keys toggle keys filters.

I have encountered this same problem this morning and was able to find a way to resolve the issue after trying to find an answer here.

  • Pavilion 17: screen resizes automatically when you type

I tried to call HP and ask how to disable this feature, but they want me to pay a fee to obtain information, so I hope there, can someone help me. When I type, sometimes I guess that the edges of my flippers are not on the right unit makes display sizes float - changing size to big again, and it's extremely annoying. I can't understand how this feature go away. I'm hoping to find a new job that I need my computer for, and if yes, I need the screen to remain static, unless I change it.

What is there, no one knows what I'm talking about you and how to stop doing what he's doing?

Any help you can give would be most appreciated.

    Stacy Saul

    Hi Stacy,

Try disabling the option "Pinch Zoom" on your TouchPad.

Open windows control panel and on the top right, next to the display by: select "large icons".  The new layout, select the mouse option, then the tab setting ClickPad (or device settings), and then click the settings button.

The option you're looking for is called "Pinch Zoom" (see image below) - remove the check mark next to this entry, and then click apply and then click Ok to save the setting.

Does anyone have an idea if it's a shortcut that I can disable or what other explanation/solution can exist. Thank you.

Power - off wait a few minutes and power on again to allow a full reset.

There may be a stuck key check so the area where it hit.

  • The mouse cursor moves automatically

Today, I installed the patches to update for the affected Windows 7 Pro 64-bit machine.  Shortly after, I installed the printer driver for an HP laser printer. To the arrival of this, the cursor started jumping around on the screen and click right windows to open randomly place.  It was impossible to do anything with the mouse, because the jump was so rapid.  I tried another mouse, but the fault remained, and he was always there, even if there is no mouse.  I had to use the power button to turn off the machine.  Then I restarted in safe mode, and stopped jumping.  I drove back to three different, although restore points before sentencing, but as soon as I restarted in normal mode, the jump began.  I did a selective startup with msconfig, but the problem was still there. I did a check for complete virus with the CEP. Then I stopped for the day.  Tomorrow I intend to start by booting from a repair disk, and if that doesn't work I don't know what to do next.  Do you have any suggestions?

    Hello Mary,.

Welcome to the Microsoft Community Forum.

When you type, the cursor jumps around.  How can I correct this situation?

It is a very common problem when users become familiar with a new laptop. Either your palm/wrist/cuff/bracelet is touching the touchpad as you type or the touch pad sensitivity is set too high and reacts to strong strikes.
    • Someone to watch you while you type to see if you accidentally touch touchpad of the notebook.
    • Go to the control panel mouse configuration and reduce the sensitivity of the touchpad.
    • Make sure you use the latest version of the driver from the manufacturer of the laptop for the touchpad and update if a new becomes available.
    • Disable the touchpad entirely in favor of a wireless laptop mouse.
As noted previously, this is a very common problem and users are usually completely unaware they do even when it is pointed out to them.
